The cabin was very charming and cozy which is what we were looking for! It was a little dusty but the space overall was clean. The bikes/ kayaks were in sort of rough shape but we were able to make it work. The cabin was very private until the night before we left when a large group moved into the space very close by. The cabin then didn’t offer much privacy. The privacy fence helped a bit but the group would peak over and walk down to our area when they thought we weren’t there which was uncomfortable. Overall a fine stay.

The host couldn’t be nicer. Very responsive, friendly and professional. Loved the access to Door County Land Trust hiking trails. Easy to cross the busy road to get to the marina to see the sunsets. Love the private balcony. Great location in general. Difficult in and out of the tight driveway. Mattress should have been replaced about 10 years ago. The futon is very hard to sit on - very uncomfortable. There is no storage for clothes- drawers full of spare linens. Windows all dirty, covered with spider webs. Too much dusty clutter in the cabin, blinds broken, cobwebs, etc. Pet friendly. AC filter was so clogged and filthy. The fan was also filthy. Light above kitchen sink does not work which made washing dishes difficult.

It’s a charming log cabin with one bed and a pull out futon. It was clean and comfortable and Emily was a good communicator. It backs up to a nature reserve with nice hiking trails. We enjoyed our stay there.

Cozy, well equipped, larger than it looks in pictures. We stay for a week with our family of 23 staying next door. Nice to go on hikes in nature preserve that is accessed from the property. Emily, the property manager was great to work with. Exceeded our expectations. Enjoyed having a fireplace for cool mornings.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights and have no complaints! We took our 2 dogs and had a wonderful time. The cabin was clean, comfortable and very relaxing. We loved it. Definitely would stay here again.

It was our first time in the area and it was perfect for what we needed. It had all the amenities, charm, and comfort. My favorite part was the location/neighborhood because it was quiet and right next to the nature park (perfect for our dogs). It was also just a short walk to the water/restaurants.

Loved the ambience of the cabin, it was comfortable and really made it feel like we were living back in time (minus the modern additions). We were thankful the night was cool so we could use the fire place.

Cara’s Cabin was the perfect place to stay! Very cute and comfortable; fully stocked and clean. Close to everything, with off street parking, easy to find and easy to check in. Loved staying here and would stay here again.

The colors of County were beautiful, and the weather was quite good.The cabin was perfect perfect for a couple just wanting to see the fall colors wonderful amenities very easy to access and to leave. Emily was wonderful as a host and the cabin was very very clean.The check out procedures were easy and it was just perfectly located about halfway up Door County so you could easily access Washington Island sister Bay Ephraim fish Creek. Just a great location.Can’t wait to visit again

We really enjoyed our stay, it is a very old, but very solid log cabin updated with a little kitchen and bathroom added on, but still has a lot of charm. The doors on the balcony open so you can enjoy the view of the trees, and it’s close enough to Ephraim and Sister Bay to get out and about easily to enjoy yourself. It’s nice to not be in a hotel or motel, it feels more private. There was plenty of linens and supplies, and I love that it’s dog friendly! It’s not huge, but it was perfect for me and my partner. It felt very relaxed and cosy, we loved it!

Our experience at Cara’s Cabin was an ABSOLUTE DISASTER!We checked in last Saturday, August 9,(5PM-CST) as Ephraim, WI, was experiencing a county-wide power outage.Needless to say, we were without electricity,,water and no toilet facilities. We purchased food, which spoiled and decided to rough it out for one night, and return the next morning.The owner was kind enough to grant us a partial refund, as we only stayed one night in the darkness.
Our experience at Cara’s Cabin was an ABSOLUTE DISASTER!We checked in last Saturday, August 9,(5PM-CST) as Ephraim, WI, was experiencing a county-wide power outage.Needless to say, we were without electricity,,water and no toilet facilities. We purchased food, which spoiled and decided to rough it out for one night, and return the next morning.The owner was kind enough to grant us a partial refund, as we only stayed one night in the darkness.

Cara’s Cabin was the perfect place to stay! Very cute and comfortable; fully stocked and clean. Close to everything, with off street parking, easy to find and easy to check in. Loved staying here and would stay here again.

The host couldn’t be nicer. Very responsive, friendly and professional. Loved the access to Door County Land Trust hiking trails. Easy to cross the busy road to get to the marina to see the sunsets. Love the private balcony. Great location in general. Difficult in and out of the tight driveway. Mattress should have been replaced about 10 years ago. The futon is very hard to sit on - very uncomfortable. There is no storage for clothes- drawers full of spare linens. Windows all dirty, covered with spider webs. Too much dusty clutter in the cabin, blinds broken, cobwebs, etc. Pet friendly. AC filter was so clogged and filthy. The fan was also filthy. Light above kitchen sink does not work which made washing dishes difficult.

It’s a charming log cabin with one bed and a pull out futon. It was clean and comfortable and Emily was a good communicator. It backs up to a nature reserve with nice hiking trails. We enjoyed our stay there.

Neat, cozy, rustic cabin for exploring Door County. True cabin like look and feel with gas fireplace, but all the comforts too..cable TV wifi. Access to bicycles, folding kayaks and grill are a plus. Walkable to center of Eprhaim and short drive to other similar towns and Pennisula State Park. Well organized, neat, clean with responsive host.

Our stay was fantastic. The colors of County were beautiful, and the weather was quite good.The cabin was perfect perfect for a couple just wanting to see the fall colors wonderful amenities very easy to access and to leave. Emily was wonderful as a host and the cabin was very very clean.The check out procedures were easy and it was just perfectly located about halfway up Door County so you could easily access Washington Island sister Bay Ephraim fish Creek. Just a great location.Can’t wait to visit again

It was our first time in the area and it was perfect for what we needed. It had all the amenities, charm, and comfort. My favorite part was the location/neighborhood because it was quiet and right next to the nature park (perfect for our dogs). It was also just a short walk to the water/restaurants.

Cabin is cute - perfect for a couple to call home base while exploring Door County. Semi minimalistic and rustic but clean and had everything we needed. Host was very good at communicating and provided a custom app that covered use of the cabin and information about the area. Very useful and we used the app often I would recommend this cabin to any of my friends heading to Door county!
