Lakeside Retreat VIP

Amazing stay would 100% recommend. Stayed in loads of lodges previously and this one stood out due to the little added extras such as doggy welcome pack and bathroom toiletries pack which included shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, body wash all stuff which you would expect to get from a hotel. Staff really friendly and helpful! Site was lovely and clean. Will definitely be returning

The lodge was clean, and furnished beautifully. The beds were comfortable (and far better than similar lodges I’ve stayed in previously), and the kitchen/bathroom facilities were fresh and modern.

We’ve just got back from a 7 night stay in the Lakeside Retreat. We had a great week in the well designed lodge. Pro’s:Very light and airy.Huge Hot Tub Plenty of towels provided!Washer and Dryer meant we didn’t have to lake as much and also meant we returned home with next to no washing to do.Lovely quiet park.The lodge was clean but also had a hoover and mop bucket in which meant we were able to keep it clean for the week we were there.2x Fans were provided which was great as these lodges do keep their heat!Loved the little welcome packs.Smart TV’s throughout the lodge was great as well!Con’s:We struggles for fridge space as the lodge had a small integrated Fridge with small box freezer in the top taking up space. Personally we’d have been happier without the freezer so we could have had the full space in the fridge.The mattress was very springy and noisy. It wasn’t uncomfortable however we often got woken up during the night while we were turning over due loud bangs from the springs.

Amazing Lodges with fantastic facilities and welcome packs that we didn't expect. Home from home.I left my phone in the lodge and I didn't realise until I was home. A lady found it and handed it in to the office. I called Hambleton when I got home and Ian said he would post it to me. If that's not going above and beyond I don't know what is. Well done team 👏 and a big thank you!!!We will definitely be back.
