Leonardo Boutique Hotel Rome Monti

I loved the location and surrounding areas of Monti and its close proximity to the colloseum. Staff were friendly and the hotel was comfy and well air conditioned, though the bed a a little firm. I was a little disappointed the hottub area was not on.

Room - 7/10 - in our bathroom there was not enough space to put toiletries and hang things, bathtub drain needed attention. staff - 9/10 elevator 4/10 location 10/10 breakfast 6/10 Airconditioning 8/10 internet 6/10 Cleaniness 8/10 The overall experience was great. thank you.

Very nice and clean hotel. Nice staff. Placed few minutes walking from Colosseum and from the metro Will be back another time Unfortunately tge Fitness was not available this time.

Idéalement placé pour visiter Rome. Quartier avec beaucoup de restaurants mais tout en étant calme. Petite déception pour la salle de sport présentée sur le site internet de l'hôtel Elle n'etait pas encore disponible. Lots of great things to say about this property and why you should consider it. Location: 20 min walk to the Colosseum and 50 min walk to the Vatican where you can pass by the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. Staff: Super helpful staff they did all they can to help make our stay the best possible Breakfast: 12 Euros for a great breakfast spread that was available from 6:30 -10 am. Room and Hotel: room was clean and well organized with water and biscotti provided free of charge. The hotel has great outdoor piazza and inside lounge and bar. If we go back to Rome we would stay here again.

Great location and reasonable for city centre. Decor was nice and breakfast good with plenty of choice. Unfortunately the gym was out of use and the room door had to be slammed in order for the lock to catch.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The room was great and so was the staff. The breakfast was quite good and we spent several pleasant evenings at the bar. We had a water issue in our original room and the staff was super about looking into it and moving us. Very happy stay!!

We booked breakfast with our rate and it was good as well. We were only here for two nights but found some issue with the washroom, tiny vanity, awkward shower, blow dryer broken, but maybe bigger rooms would not have the same bathroom set up. Took off a star for that as well as the sauna not being available still when we stayed at the end of August and website at time of booking said it would be ready mid 2025. Beds were comfortable and air con worked well.

Property did not gym facilities, not many amenities, location was great for places but can get loud at night

I stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very concerning experience. During my stay, approximately €30 went missing from my bag in my room (a £20 note, some euro coins, and British coins). I reported this to the police, and it was documented clearly as €30, not €200 as the hotel has falsely claimed in their response. I even offered the hotel a copy of the police report, but they refused to accept it. There were also serious hygiene concerns. My toothbrush, which was left on a shelf, was found on the floor when I returned to my room — along with some of my personal care items. This is extremely unhygienic and completely unnecessary. Additionally, my makeup products — including some expensive lipsticks — were tampered with by cleaning staff. This raises serious concerns about respect for guests’ belongings and overall standards of cleanliness and professionalism. I also attempted to leave a note for the bar staff regarding a half-glass of wine I had purchased after the bartender left, offering to pay for it to avoid any misunderstanding. This was misrepresented in the hotel’s response, which implied attempted theft — a completely false accusation. I have the receipt for my wine purchase to prove this. The hotel also claimed to have CCTV, with signs posted indicating cameras are in operation. However, when I asked to review footage, I was told the cameras do not actually work. This is highly misleading for guests who assume their safety is being monitored. Rude manager

Very bad smell from restroom

Das Zimmer war makellos sauber und einladend. Lediglich die Klimaanlage war sehr laut und hat nicht optimal gekühlt .

Central location, friendly reception staff, free okay breakfast. BUT: the cleaning service is terrible. Our bathroom was not cleaned in four days, towels were not changed, amenities not refilled. The room was very worn down. Black stains on the wallpaper, broken window, mouldy shower, low pressure on the shower, broken bathroom door, broken towel rack. Besides, the elevator was tiny. Made for four, fitting two. We were there during Covid, waited for the elevator in the morning and one of the cleaning staff squeezed in with us instead of waiting or keeping distance. The hotel needs renovation for sure.

Pro's. The hotel was in an excellent position for everything. Short walk from the train/bus station & main areas of Colosseum, Pantheon & Trevi. The breakfast was excellent & the room quiet with a comfortable bed. We didnt need to use it but understand there is an option to be able to leave your luggage which would be a huge help. All the staff were lovely & very helpful. Cons The plug in the bathroom sink stuck shut on 2 consecutive mornings leaving us unable to let water out after having a wash & we had to brush our teeth over the bidet (using bottled water I might add!). Maintenance must have just gone in & let the water out on both mornings because it wasn't fixed so on our last day we just got washed under running water & didnt use the plug. The room description said coffee maker & kettle so we took teabags as being english we like a cup of tea before bed 😀 There was no kettle & when I asked in reception it was obvious this must be a mistake in the listing. There was a coffee machine but there were only pods for black coffee supplied, no milk. The room was unbearably hot & we had trouble sleeping so bearing in mind the weather was cool/mild, goodness knows what its like in the heat of summer! The room description says aircon & although my husband found what looked to be some kind of controller, it didnt seem to do anything. Perhaps thats the price you pay for having a room thats well insulated & quiet! We enjoyed our stay in Rome & at this hotel, would stay again

Comfortable new rooms...Excellent location!

Nice property and convenient to walk to several attractions. The room itself was warm. Couldn’t get the air to turn on. Uncomfortable sleeping.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Rome. It is within walking distance of the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Dei Popola, and so much more. There is a cafe just down the street, Al Viminale, that serves the best, most authentic italian food that we experienced during our trip. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the hotel itself. The AC in our room never cooled well. It turns out that every room was equally as balmy as we had friends on the other side of the building with the same issue. This forced us to sleep with the windows open in order to cool the room off which impeded our sleep due to the night-life in the surrounding areas. We were never issued a menu of spa services, and breakfast was sub-par and often too crowded for the amount of people trying to partake. If we come to Rome again, we would most definitely stay in the same area, but we would opt for a different hotel.

Hotel did not turn on AC in rooms in mid May. They said they don’t turn on until June 1st. Room was 80’s at night, couldn’t sleep. No fans. Bed was soaking wet from sweat each morning.

Great boutique hotel in Monti, convenient location, just outside the main attractions. The rooms are clean, spacious and modern. The breakfast has a great selection of food, our family really liked and would recommend it!

For paying $200 a night I was extremely uncomfortable during our stay. The AC did not cool the room and the staff did not care. The shower was broken and had to be held to be used and the drain kept popping out of the floor. The power went out when I was in the shower and the water scorched me. When we went down to ask about the power the man at the desk was extremely rude and unhelpful. Was excited to stay here due to the photos but left disappointed

Rachel was amazing she gave us a lot of recommendations. Very helpful, patient and kind. All of the staff were very friendly. And we would definitely recommend this to those wanting to go to Roma. They made our honeymoon a dream come true. Thank you

Flott hotell, men ventilasjonen på vårt rom i 1. etasje fungerte ikke og det ble veldig varmt på vårt ron, selv om det fungerte fint i gangene og lobbyen. Vi var der ikke på den varmeste årstiden, hadde nok ikke holdt ut på rommet om sommeren med over grader ute. Nå ble vi reddet av å kunne lufte fra vinduet til bakgården.

Front desk made us so welcome and we could check in before 3pm, letting us have a rest with the children after travelling. Super helpful staff, really friendly and they made us feel welcome.

It was breakfast included when we ordered through hotels.com, but that was removed when we arrived. Check-in was slow and staff was kind of rude.

Had a fantastic stay here! My partner and I arrived early due to flight times, we asked if we could leave our luggage and pop back later to check in, instead we got a free upgrade to a bigger room! Every member of staff from every department that we interacted with during our stay was incredibly lovely and friendly and very attentive. From giving us a free room upgrade, to helping us organise transport back to the airport for our early morning flight, they were all happy to help! The room was lovely, good size, clean, and the bed was so comfortable. The location was excellent, within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions, and a lot of good bars and restaurants near by. Cannot recommend this place enough, and when we return to Rome in the future, we will definitely be staying here!

Very good location, easy to get to many tourist attractions by foot. Very kind and welcoming staff. Also very convenient because they can hold your luggage for you if you arrive earlier than check in or leave to go somewhere after checkout in the morning. Very clean and well taken care of, would definitely recommend.

Pro: Hotel in guter Lage und recht sauber. Die Dame an der Anmeldung war jederzeit sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren sauber und nachts sehr ruhig. Wir konnten Rom sehr gut zu Fuß erkunden und benötigten keine öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel. Contra: Das Frühstück und der Kaffe waren ungenießbar. Der Kaffee ist ein Graus und für italienische Standards unmöglich! Das Frühstücksangebot hielt sich gesamt stark in Grenzen; leider gab es kein frisches Obst, das Rührei war eine Fertigmischung und die Kellner wirkten lustlos. Wir haben daher ein paar Straßen weiter auswärts gefrühstückt. Wer eine ruhige Nacht in guter Lage verbringen möchte und keinen Wert auf Frühstück legt, kann hier mit gutem Gewissen buchen.

Lovely staff and a nice stay. Great location and great value. Only a couple of issues, the shower in the bathroom wasn't great, not adjustable and sometimes water leaked onto the floor in the corner. Breakfast was only okay, servers didn't offer coffee and had to ask them. Cleaners only gave us shampoo.

Hotel totalmente remodelado, muito central, dá para ir a pé para todo o lado, inclusive de e para Termini, caso cheguem de comboio ou de shuttle do aeroporto. Quartos muito confortaveis, staff muito simpático. Pequeno almoço um pouco pobre mas ok. Ficaria neste hotel novamente caso volte a Roma.
