The house was in a great location for exploring Black Rock Mountain. While the weather was not the best, the house offered plenty of room and 2 covered porches to play games and wait out of the rain. The fenced in yard was a bonus for our dog while we were out exploring the town of Clayton. We would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short weekend away at this property! Everything was clean and comfortable. Our dogs loved the fenced in back yard. The home is incredibly close to the state park, and we were very grateful for the parking pass provided! Maureen was easy to communicate with and a pleasure to interact with overall. Would definitely recommend!

Loved our weekend getaway in the mountains. House was easy to find and well-furnished. Our dogs loved the fenced in back yard, and we loved sitting out back to enjoy the quiet. We had an easy time cooking in the kitchen, loved the porch set-up. It is a great location, easy to get to some great hikes.

We were very pleased with the cottage. It was spotless and well kept. We enjoyed the porch surrounded by a beautiful wooded area. It was so quiet and peaceful. It was exactly what we needed. The beds were comfortable and the entire inside very pleasant. We are planning a fall trip to the area and hope to stay there. Our dog loved the porch and yard.Thank you

Loved our stay. Mountain location, part of road to house was gravel. Loved the yard, fire pit and fireplace. Quiet lots of good local eateries. Only drawback was stairs to upper bedroom but since we didn’t use upper bedroom, its a non issue. Would rent again! Owner was great!

The place was wonderful. Beautiful setting, less than 10 minutes from DT Clayton which is such a cute town. Access to Black Rock Mtn State Park and property came with a State Park Pass. Backyard was perfect for my dog.

What a beautiful home in the mountains. Home was very clean. Access into home and about home was very clear. Pet friendly with a fenced in yard. But was totally deep in the mountain. Our dog loved exploring all around home. We were thankful we had a truck but we did see a few cars going up the mountains too. Gravel dirt roads but maintained well. Everything about the home was great.

Great location with great hiking close by. The cabins backyard was perfect for a dog and a cozy evenings by the fire making s'mores. Bedrooms were spacious and made for a great night sleep. The living rooms gas fire place made everything warm and inviting. Everything was very clean.

We had an absolutely delightful stay and would definitely come back! The accommodations were lovely, everything we could possibly need was available, it was spotless and beautifully decorated (I loved the art). The location was very private yet there was a neighborhood feel, so I was able to feel secure walking—in addition to taking advantage of many nearby hikes. Loved it!

We enjoyed our visit, the cabin was spotless and well maintained. The fenced in backyard was fantastic for our two dogs. The area surrounding the cabin was full of hiking trails and nature.

Quiet and cozy cabin, the place was very clean but did have a musty smell in the main bathroom, The beds were very comfortable and nice linens and towels. The dogs loved the fenced in backyard to run and play. The fire pit was nice too. The location was perfect since we hiked at Black Rock State Park and Clayton is just down the road

This is an older property that is clean and comfy. The mattresses were incredible! We enjoyed the backyard and firepit. They have everything you need for 2 couples. A pet would enjoy this cabin but we did not have one. We drove to waterfalls and found a nice winery. The host was quite to respond. Would stay again!

Loved our stay here! The host was very great at communicating and the place was clean and well equipped! Loved the location and backyard- only thing we didn’t like was the stairs with tiles (may be hard for elder dogs to get up) but besides that we had a great stay in the mountains!

We’ve used VRBO for a few years now and this is my favorite place so far. The property is off a gravel road and makes you feel far away from everyone but you’re actually close to so many amazing places. Clayton is one of the cutest towns we’ve visited and I could have spent from sun up to sun down exploring their shops and food. Hiking was literally less than 10 minutes away and it had the most incredible view. If you can tolerate a moderate hike, definitely get to the Tennessee Rock Trail. The home was very clean and well stocked if we needed to cook. The beds were large and so comfortable. The back porch was very cozy and while we didn’t use it, there was a great fire pit outside. The fireplace was awesome and came in handy a few mornings! Such a cozy place, we loved it. We accidentally took their GA state park pass and Maureen was super sweet and told me how to get it back to them!

My sister and I enjoyed our stay during Christmas. Very clean, instructions for the property were easily understood. Communication with owners was prompt. The stairs are a little precarious, so I was sure to take my time. Very comfortable beds and accommodations. Thank you!

The house was just as pictured online. Centrally located and day trips to NC were close. Beds were a bit too firm for us and the first floor shower was tiny. However, we made it work. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is such an amazing house, everything is clean and well appointed. The house is convenient yo town and we especially loved the fact that your on Black Rock Mountain and abot 3 minutes from the front gate of the park. We accidentally took the owners State Park pass with us and they were so understanding. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved this property. It's far enough away from town so you truly are in the mountains and Black Rock State Park is right down the road. And it's 10 minutes from Downtown Clayton which is awesome. The house is the perfect size for a couples trip, and is well stocked. I really appreciated the nice towels. The stairs are a little cumbersome so just be careful on those. The owners were easy to work with and were quick to respond. Thanks for a great stay.

If visiting Clayton, this is a great place to stay! The location is convenient to everything Clayton, and the outdoors have to offer. The cabin was clean. Had everything we needed. Is quiet and peaceful. When we visit Clayton again, this is where we stay!

The house was in a great location for exploring Black Rock Mountain. While the weather was not the best, the house offered plenty of room and 2 covered porches to play games and wait out of the rain. The fenced in yard was a bonus for our dog while we were out exploring the town of Clayton. We would definitely stay here again.

The stay was very relaxing. We enjoyed the quietness. The location was somewhat secluded in the woods on the mountain. The only update I would say is to indicate that due to its location the roads can be difficult to navigate after dark.

Loved our weekend getaway in the mountains. House was easy to find and well-furnished. Our dogs loved the fenced in back yard, and we loved sitting out back to enjoy the quiet. We had an easy time cooking in the kitchen, loved the porch set-up. It is a great location, easy to get to some great hikes.

Great quite area in the mountains. My husband and I did some hiking in area parks and white water rafting. Home was conveniently located to all. The home very clean and comfy. The fenced yard was great for our dog.

The place was wonderful. Beautiful setting, less than 10 minutes from DT Clayton which is such a cute town. Access to Black Rock Mtn State Park and property came with a State Park Pass. Backyard was perfect for my dog.

Nice, private, comfortable cabin. Very convenient to Black Rock Mountain State Park and Clayton. Excellent set up for our dog. She loved the fenced backyard!

What a beautiful home in the mountains. Home was very clean. Access into home and about home was very clear. Pet friendly with a fenced in yard. But was totally deep in the mountain. Our dog loved exploring all around home. We were thankful we had a truck but we did see a few cars going up the mountains too. Gravel dirt roads but maintained well. Everything about the home was great.

This is such an amazing house, everything is clean and well appointed. The house is convenient yo town and we especially loved the fact that your on Black Rock Mountain and abot 3 minutes from the front gate of the park. We accidentally took the owners State Park pass with us and they were so understanding. We would definitely stay here again.

Very cozy house. Great backyard for my daughter’s dog. We really enjoyed the fire pit! Highlight was our visit to 12 Spies Vineyard.

We’ve used VRBO for a few years now and this is my favorite place so far. The property is off a gravel road and makes you feel far away from everyone but you’re actually close to so many amazing places. Clayton is one of the cutest towns we’ve visited and I could have spent from sun up to sun down exploring their shops and food. Hiking was literally less than 10 minutes away and it had the most incredible view. If you can tolerate a moderate hike, definitely get to the Tennessee Rock Trail. The home was very clean and well stocked if we needed to cook. The beds were large and so comfortable. The back porch was very cozy and while we didn’t use it, there was a great fire pit outside. The fireplace was awesome and came in handy a few mornings! Such a cozy place, we loved it. We accidentally took their GA state park pass and Maureen was super sweet and told me how to get it back to them!

Loved our stay. Mountain location, part of road to house was gravel. Loved the yard, fire pit and fireplace. Quiet lots of good local eateries. Only drawback was stairs to upper bedroom but since we didn’t use upper bedroom, its a non issue. Would rent again! Owner was great!

We had an absolutely delightful stay and would definitely come back! The accommodations were lovely, everything we could possibly need was available, it was spotless and beautifully decorated (I loved the art). The location was very private yet there was a neighborhood feel, so I was able to feel secure walking—in addition to taking advantage of many nearby hikes. Loved it!

Have stayed several times at this wonderful property close to Clayton and Dillard. This weekend didn’t disappoint! Quiet, off the beaten path and just chill. Plenty of mountain vibes and well kept.
