The Ridings at Theobalds Park

As always, the staff are fantastic, the grounds are well kept, the nights are quiet down at the stables and restaurant end (I've only ever stayed that end), and the breakfast are very tasty with a good spread that is frequently replenished with fresh food. The room I had this time around wasn't quite as immaculate as my last stay but it was clean, comfortable and well appointed.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the restaurant was excellent, with all the food freshly prepared in front of you and extremely friendly staff. Breakfast was a little disappointing and would benefit from starting earlier, but overall it’s a great hotel.

The room was smelling of cigarette,including the sheet and towels severe hayfever after sleeping there…staff was brilliant.Bathroom had molds

We had assumed that we had booked a nice hotel I guess that it had been once. The room was not dirty as such but it definitely could have done with a deep clean, it could best be described as grubby. The whole place looked run down and in need of refurbishment.

We had a really nice stay here. Obviously, because of the work going on it’s not perfect but we read the reviews and, to be honest, we expected worse than we encountered. The room was good with the biggest bed ever. The work was mainly confined to the reception area. The restaurant and bar area is really nice with alfresco dining. It’s all set in beautiful grounds. We will definitely come back.
