We liked that there was coffee, water, and a little muffin downstairs in the morning. And also lockers to leave our luggage before check-in time. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room and building was very clean and beautiful.

Great spacious clean room at a good price in a fab location. Handy for the airport bus and metros around the city. I needed just one night and wanted a 24 h front desk - like that as a sometimes solo female traveller. Like that the Praktik group seems to prioritise some eco friendly approaches so there was a water fountain and also complementary hot drinks and muffins in the morning. Tasty hot choc thanks! - also lockers to put in your gear if the room isn’t ready or you want to do more in the city. There was also a ‘common’ space and an outside space - looked lovely for summer! I only haven’t rated excellent here is because I selected the suite because there was one comfy chair pictured and I knew post serious city walking, I would want that instead of sitting on the bed. Otherwise, all great and defo would return as a solo or as a couple. Lovely ladies on reception both days :)

Great location to go to Passeig Graziella to catch the HOP on HOP OFF bus, shops, Casa Batllo, etc. They have a computer you can use, a lovely outside patio.

The elevator broke 2 times out of our 3 days stay. The staff are very nice though and the location of hotel is closed to everywhere. The hotel is old but has a good vibes. I just don’t like the scent that they choose inside the hotel.

The ice cold filtered water machine was the best part of the stay. The people at the front desk were very helpful. Chilling on the roof terrace was very relaxing. Great location on a lowkey street. Can't wait to be back :)

Property is clean and room cleaning was performed daily which helped. Three things that lowered my review: 1) We wanted to go into our rooms at 3AM and there was a sign on the front door saying "Will be back in 5 minutes. If urgent, call this number". The issue is we do not have a spanish phone and the number wasn't registered with whatsapp. We had to wait 20 minutes just to go into our rooms. 2) They canceled our booking due to not accepting multi-day stays through expedia, which was extremely distressing and annoying. 3) There was a hair on our shower the day we checked in which was a little gross.

This was a wonderful hotel. The room layout was beautiful, and the window was large and sunny. The lounge area was comfortable, the backyard garden and deck was cheerful and airy. I appreciated the coffee every morning and the muffins. The room was immaculate and the housekeeping was perfect. It was close enough to all the hustle and bustle of Barcelona to be convenient, but far enough removed to be peaceful. There were only two downsides during my four days there: I could hear the people in the room next door talking because the wall was thin. Also, the lobby had a damp, musty smell to it.

What a wonderful, special and unique place this is. If you like to avoid large bland characterless hotels, and prefer somewhere tranquil with heart and soul then this is the place for you! The staff are wonderful and welcoming. The place is beautiful with plants and books. There is a wonderful tranquil terrace to relax. The common kitchen/sitting area is lovely, with some baked treats and coffee machine for breakfast in the morning. My bedroom was very plain and calm and had everything I needed. It was great to have the doors and little balcony out into the street. The doors were well sound proofed and the air con was very effective. So it meant it was cool and peaceful with doors closed over night. The standard of room cleaning service was excellent and kept it lovely and neat and clean during my 4 night stay. I was sad to have to leave and would definitely love to stay here again.

The room and hotel was very clean and nice. Coffee in the lobby in the morning. It was within 15 minutes walking to the Sagrada Familia. The shower was fantastic!! Staff is friendly and helpful. There are a couple restaurants within walking distance and a mini-market.

The place is located in a great location to walk easily or catch a train/bus. It’s on a quiet street so not much outside noise. The design of the room was weird that the sink was outside the bathroom all the way around the corner in the room. I would recommend this place if you are looking for an affordable hotel in a good location. The other downside was as I leaving to check out I saw a giant cockroach in the lobby. That sort of changed my mind on the whole place and hence the 4 star review

No repetiríamos, habitación con mal olor a cañería o humedad. Precio elevado para la baja calidad y el tamaño. Una mala experiencia ya que hace 3 años nos gustaba mucho ir al Praktik Essens... Una pena, precio por los aires para la baja calidad de todo.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel! First of all, it was a lot bigger than I expected and the bathroom was huge! The room was also super clean, the bed was relatively comfy, and the shower was huge with amazing hot water. I did have a chance to try the complimentary breakfast they offer, obviously it’s not a buffet, but it is something small to hold you over for a little bit or something to grab to save for later as a snack (which i did).

Facilities: the property itself seems nice but the AC seems non existence, there was no ice in the building, and comparing it to their sister hotel Praktik Rambla, there coffee is not 24 hours. We were also woken up at 3am in the morning from the fire alarm sound. There was no reassurances what cause the problem and it lasted for at least 15mins. Location: it didnt seem far from the center location but getting there, seems like it was. It was a bit hard to get a taxi and you would have to walk down to find one. Staff: was was nice and cordial

Great hotel. Really convenient area for seeing the sights and lots of eating areas around. Staff helpful and friendly. Lovely lounge and 1st floor garden although too hot for me in August. Offer of free pastries for breakfast but sadly these were a few muffins that were all gone long before the end time for breakfast. Amazing shower although the lack of sound barrier and closeable bathroom door from the bedroom a little bit weird.

The air conditioning unit was not working properly in late May, sounded like a jet engine on any setting stronger than “quiet” which made for a very unpleasant sleeping condition even on the coolest of nights.

The hotel is in a great location with plenty within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quite small. The sink was outside the bathroom. There was construction going on around the hotel so banging started early in the morning. They have coffee available in the morning with some small muffins. The room was clean.

Our stay at Hotel Praktik Garden was outstanding. Upon arrival, the concierge kindly accommodated an early check-in based on room availability, which was much appreciated after a red-eye flight from Toronto to Barcelona. Room: Small but quaint. We weren’t overly fond of the bathroom set up with the sink in the bedroom and bathroom/toilet separated by a glass door that was not fully sealed for privacy but as a couple we were able to make due with the set up. We absolutely loved the Juliet balcony overlooking the street. It was quite the view in comparison to what we are used to back home. Amenities: Outdoor terrace was a lovely option for some relaxation. It was well-equipped with lounge chairs and seating areas but also surrounded by beautiful greenery. We made use of the areas after a long day on our feet and during our morning coffee and muffin, which was complimentary. Location: Within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. On average about 20 mins walk from most destinations on our list. Concierge assisted us with reserving a taxi for our early morning flight out of Barcelona International Airport and atop of that the taxi was early which early eased our anxiety of possibly being late. 10/10 would recommend. Our stay at Hotel Praktik Garden was outstanding. Upon arrival, the concierge kindly accommodated an early check-in based on room availability, which was much appreciated after a red-eye flight from Toronto to Barcelona. Room: Small but quaint. We weren’t overly fond of the bathroom set up with the sink in the bedroom and bathroom/toilet separated by a glass door that was not fully sealed for privacy but as a couple we were able to make due with the set up. We absolutely loved the Juliet balcony overlooking the street. It was quite the view in comparison to what we are used to back home. Amenities: Outdoor terrace was a lovely option for some relaxation. It was well-equipped with lounge chairs and seating areas but also surrounded by beautiful greenery. We made use of the areas after a long day on our feet and during our morning coffee and muffin, which was complimentary. Location: Within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. On average about 20 mins walk from most destinations on our list. Concierge assisted us with reserving a taxi for our early morning flight out of Barcelona International Airport and atop of that the taxi was early which early eased our anxiety of possibly being late. 10/10 would recommend. Property is clean and room cleaning was performed daily which helped. Three things that lowered my review: 1) We wanted to go into our rooms at 3AM and there was a sign on the front door saying "Will be back in 5 minutes. If urgent, call this number". The issue is we do not have a spanish phone and the number wasn't registered with whatsapp. We had to wait 20 minutes just to go into our rooms. 2) They canceled our booking due to not accepting multi-day stays through expedia, which was extremely distressing and annoying. 3) There was a hair on our shower the day we checked in which was a little gross.

Great spacious clean room at a good price in a fab location. Handy for the airport bus and metros around the city. I needed just one night and wanted a 24 h front desk - like that as a sometimes solo female traveller. Like that the Praktik group seems to prioritise some eco friendly approaches so there was a water fountain and also complementary hot drinks and muffins in the morning. Tasty hot choc thanks! - also lockers to put in your gear if the room isn’t ready or you want to do more in the city. There was also a ‘common’ space and an outside space - looked lovely for summer! I only haven’t rated excellent here is because I selected the suite because there was one comfy chair pictured and I knew post serious city walking, I would want that instead of sitting on the bed. Otherwise, all great and defo would return as a solo or as a couple. Lovely ladies on reception both days :)

Check in was a bit of a mess do to front desk being rude should not be a person to deal with the public. First night the a/c in our room didn’t work so walk down to front desk and cleck says I will go check it out for her to tell me that the a/c was work thankfully it was a bit cold outside and open the window. Got up on the morning went out and went return to the room there was a sewer smell inside of the room. Again open up the window since front desk was no help would definitely stay away from this hotel. Will recommend other options. Since we came back from our cruise and stay in another hotel and definitely a better stay. Stay away from this property.

If you are looking for a chic, reasonably priced, and comfortable place to stay in Barcelona this is it. This is a gem of a hotel just off of Passeig de Gràcia, one of the main boulevards in the city. You are within walking distance of many restaurants and 2 of Gaudi’s houses are on this street, 5 minutes from the hotel. It is in the middle of 3 very close metro stations. You are 10-15 minutes away by metro or 20 minutes walking to most sites like Sagrada Família or the Picasso Museum. It is very easy to get around from this central location. You hardly know that the hotel is there walking down the quiet side street, but once you open the red door, you find yourself in a modern, garden oasis. The lobby is beautifully done with plants and a wall of books that has truly been transformed into a piece of art. Nothing was overlooked when making this hotel. The open-air patio lounge is full of tropical plants and places to relax in the sun, or have a latte and muffin in the attached indoor lounge that I would love to have in my own house. The rooms are clean and bright with tasteful and modern art and the bathrooms are some of the best designed ones I have stayed in, even at much higher price points. The care they took in choosing the dark slate blue subway tiles on the walls, the black and white tiles on the floor, and the antique looking doors are truly stunning. This is not a cookie cutter hotel. It is a unique, boutique hotel that has an amazing and knowledgeable staff.

We liked that there was coffee, water, and a little muffin downstairs in the morning. And also lockers to leave our luggage before check-in time. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room and building was very clean and beautiful.

Great hotel. Really convenient area for seeing the sights and lots of eating areas around. Staff helpful and friendly. Lovely lounge and 1st floor garden although too hot for me in August. Offer of free pastries for breakfast but sadly these were a few muffins that were all gone long before the end time for breakfast. Amazing shower although the lack of sound barrier and closeable bathroom door from the bedroom a little bit weird.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel! First of all, it was a lot bigger than I expected and the bathroom was huge! The room was also super clean, the bed was relatively comfy, and the shower was huge with amazing hot water. I did have a chance to try the complimentary breakfast they offer, obviously it’s not a buffet, but it is something small to hold you over for a little bit or something to grab to save for later as a snack (which i did).

The hotel is in a great location with plenty within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quite small. The sink was outside the bathroom. There was construction going on around the hotel so banging started early in the morning. They have coffee available in the morning with some small muffins. The room was clean.

The Praktik Garden is well located near many tourist areas. It is just a few blocks from two subway stations as well. It is very clean and the staff is very helpful. The hotel is tastefully decorated but the rooms are extremely small and basic, good for the price but next time we’ll pay more to get more space and more than a small coffee area.

It’s a basic hotel. Bed was uncomfortable and springs making creaking noises. Needs to be changed. Staff was okay. 1 person in front managing everything. (Remember basic hotel) breakfast is coffee and some muffins. That’s it. Now you figure out how much you want to spend a night for this.

My stay at Praktik Garden in Barcelona was decent overall, but I definitely think there’s room for improvement. The hotel has a nice European boutique feel, and it served its purpose as a place to stay while exploring the city. The location was convenient for getting around Barcelona, shopping, sightseeing, and enjoying everything the city has to offer. That said, I was a little underwhelmed by some of the amenities. The room could have used better heating, especially considering how chilly Barcelona can get during the colder months. Having reliable heat would make the stay much more comfortable. The television was another disappointment because there weren’t any channels available to watch. After spending an entire day exploring the city, sometimes you just want to relax in your room and watch something. There was also no microwave, which may not seem like a big deal to everyone, but it would have been convenient for warming up leftovers or enjoying food brought back from local restaurants. Small conveniences like that can make a difference, especially when you’re traveling internationally. I understand that European hotels are often smaller and offer fewer amenities than what we’re accustomed to in the United States, so I tried to keep that in perspective. The hotel itself wasn’t bad, and I wouldn’t necessarily discourage anyone from staying here. It was a nice enough experience, just not one that particularly stood out.

The room could have used better heating, especially considering how chilly Barcelona can get during the colder months. Having reliable heat would make the stay much more comfortable. The television was another disappointment because there weren’t any channels available to watch. After spending an entire day exploring the city, sometimes you just want to relax in your room and watch something. There was also no microwave, which may not seem like a big deal to everyone, but it would have been convenient for warming up leftovers or enjoying food brought back from local restaurants. Small conveniences like that can make a difference, especially when you’re traveling internationally. I understand that European hotels are often smaller and offer fewer amenities than what we’re accustomed to in the United States, so I tried to keep that in perspective. The hotel itself wasn’t bad, and I wouldn’t necessarily discourage anyone from staying here. It was a nice enough experience, just not one that particularly stood out.
