Beautiful place - quiet, clean, nice pool, convenient to town but not in the middle of the crowd. If anything was unusual, it was the breakfast service ... a little like ordering at a fast food restaurant, but with table service - and really good food!

We stayed one night at the hotel for a hiking trip. The hotel is in a great location but it is not within walking distance of the shops in Placid. It’s is clean, quiet, safe and reasonably priced. We didn’t get to use many of the amenities because we were out before breakfast. There wasn’t a fire in the fire pit and looked there wasn’t one in a while. The pool had both hot tubs broken. Once fixed the pool would be great. The weight room was small but had the stuff to get in a decent workout if interested. The best part of the hotel was its staff. They were very accommodating and helped us with some issues. Everyone I encountered was very friendly. Overall, I’d 100% stay there again. It was quiet, clean, and safe. There’s a friendly staff, plenty to do and it’s close to everything in Placid.

Enjoyed our stay, service was very fast. Whenever we called, they were there within minutes for all of our needs. Our kids loved the pool and was pretty cool having a Starbucks inside of the hotel. Stayed for training in the Olympic village which was just minutes away.

This property was in a great location. It's not near the lake but close to town and parking was included. The rooms are a little dated and will soon need updating, but the overall property is well maintained and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and the mattresses were very comfortable. A little peeling wallpaper in the bathroom was the only real eyesore. Overall, a great value.

Very upset with quality of the rooms... Smell when we arrive, "clean" towels with black long hair, door alarm with flashing lights sound couple times, last night we had fire alarm at 4 am and we tried call reception and we realized phone didn\'t work... one of our rooms (we had four) at arrive had half made bed with dirty bedsheets. I except better quality from Marriott... coffee shop didn\'t had lids for coffee cups no one told us that at ordering "to go"

My wife and I stayed from Thursday thru Sunday, Thursday was very quiet Friday wasn't to bad but Saturday night was obnoxiously loud from the bar area until at least 2 am I would definitely suggest staying on the 4th floor so this noise is not as much of a issue.

King bed very comfortable. I was surprised that there wasn’t a free breakfast, but there was a coffee maker in our room. Pool and spa were great temperatures. Room was clean except the bathroom floor needed a wiping down.

Fantastic option, bed was extremely comfortable! Great room, shower was awesome, but the staff really made this experience a winner. Everyone we talked to was fantastic, helpful, pleasant and competent even when it was very busy. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Also, while it isn't necessarily in a walkable area, it is on the OTHER side of Lake Placid, closer to the ski jump, which makes it that much easier to hit the loj or head toward keene for hiking without having to battle the town traffic.

Everyone we talked to was fantastic, helpful, pleasant and competent even when it was very busy. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Also, while it isn't necessarily in a walkable area, it is on the OTHER side of Lake Placid, closer to the ski jump, which makes it that much easier to hit the loj or head toward keene for hiking without having to battle the town traffic.

Not Hiker friendly. Both nights we were awoke by hockey kids running up and down halls. Saturday was the worst at 11 pm called the front desk. No problem will take care of it. 11:30 the kids were still in stairwell next to our room then running down and banging on door including ours. Called front desk again and was told he couldn’t leave the desk to deal with the kids. He refused to call his manager and have them come out to help eliminate the problem. But the parents were all in the bar area if I’d like to talk to them. So I went to front desk and was pointed in the direction of 18 parents which I had to get their attention and inform them of the problem. Only one parent stood up and left to go upstairs. The rest were deer in the headlights approach. Why on earth is up to the paying customer to police the property..needless to say it was after 1am when we felt back asleep. We spoke to the girl at front desk in morning and asked for the manager. She said they didn’t arrive for 30 minutes so we went over what went on the night before and left our phone number.. it’s now been 7 hours later and we have not heard anything. I would not recommend staying here. Very poor management and policies in place. No way should any customer be made to confront problems like this.

Called front desk again and was told he couldn’t leave the desk to deal with the kids. He refused to call his manager and have them come out to help eliminate the problem. But the parents were all in the bar area if I’d like to talk to them. So I went to front desk and was pointed in the direction of 18 parents which I had to get their attention and inform them of the problem. Only one parent stood up and left to go upstairs. The rest were deer in the headlights approach. Why on earth is up to the paying customer to police the property..needless to say it was after 1am when we felt back asleep. We spoke to the girl at front desk in morning and asked for the manager. She said they didn’t arrive for 30 minutes so we went over what went on the night before and left our phone number.. it’s now been 7 hours later and we have not heard anything. I would not recommend staying here. Very poor management and policies in place. No way should any customer be made to confront problems like this.

Pros - Good property located away from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street. The staff was pleasant. Cons - I had booked for a breakfast buffet, but was surprised on arrival at the site that they don’t have one it’s just a la carte. And the front desk could be more prompt & active with the requests like housekeeping.

Beautiful place - quiet, clean, nice pool, convenient to town but not in the middle of the crowd. If anything was unusual, it was the breakfast service ... a little like ordering at a fast food restaurant, but with table service - and really good food!

We stayed one night at the hotel for a hiking trip. The hotel is in a great location but it is not within walking distance of the shops in Placid. It’s is clean, quiet, safe and reasonably priced. We didn’t get to use many of the amenities because we were out before breakfast. There wasn’t a fire in the fire pit and looked there wasn’t one in a while. The pool had both hot tubs broken. Once fixed the pool would be great. The weight room was small but had the stuff to get in a decent workout if interested. The best part of the hotel was its staff. They were very accommodating and helped us with some issues. Everyone I encountered was very friendly. Overall, I’d 100% stay there again. It was quiet, clean, and safe. There’s a friendly staff, plenty to do and it’s close to everything in Placid.

This property was in a great location. It's not near the lake but close to town and parking was included. The rooms are a little dated and will soon need updating, but the overall property is well maintained and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and the mattresses were very comfortable. A little peeling wallpaper in the bathroom was the only real eyesore. Overall, a great value.

Fantastic option, bed was extremely comfortable! Great room, shower was awesome, but the staff really made this experience a winner. Everyone we talked to was fantastic, helpful, pleasant and competent even when it was very busy. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Also, while it isn't necessarily in a walkable area, it is on the OTHER side of Lake Placid, closer to the ski jump, which makes it that much easier to hit the loj or head toward keene for hiking without having to battle the town traffic.

We called for food and they mwntioned they would give us food until 10pm. When we arrived here they asked for how many people and then when we said 8, they denied of food and said that cooker is not working etc. Very disappointed with the service.

Easy check in, clean room and Pet friendly! Only drawback was that we pre paid for a $20 breakfast buffet but was actually a stand in line service that was charging $6 for one muffin! Not an actual buffet 😢

Nice clean room. Beautiful building. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was out of service all week in June. The fire pit was also out of service. Coffee in the a.m. cost five bucks.

The "breakfast buffet" was not a buffet. It was not worth the money it cost. You chose from a very limited menu and i wouldn't call it a restaurant. Very disappointing, very misleading. Not worth $46 that i paid when booking the hotel.

The problems started when the very nice individual at the check in desk informed that because my reservation was through a “third party” AKA Expedia/Hotels.com that the Marriott Bonvoy “system” wasn’t allowing him to check me in. After some computer gymnastics the room was ultimately made available. Perhaps the CEO of Expedia and the CEO of Marriott ought to meet and work out their differences. It seems a symbiotic relationship, may they should sprinkle some water on it and see if grows. Sadly, the hotel has started to show signs of wear and tear. Not surprising, no doubt once the winter hockey and skiing schedules take full flower the place takes a beating. One or two Pee Wee hockey teams can be rough on a hotel. do that for 5 months, and well you get the picture. Equally sad the little village of Lake Placid has gotten what it wanted after the 1980 Olympics, a busy honky tonk town full of meaningless stores and marginal restaurants all of which are expensive for the average family. That said, despite the Adirondack Park Agency’s best efforts, the Adirondacks are still an awesome sight in all weathers.

Room was clean but we were short on towels, toilet paper and coffee supplies. Seems like we were constantly asking for something at the front desk and we were only there 2 days. Our mean issue was with the pool, both hot tubs were empty and out of order. The pool was down at least a foot of water and was not circulating, even though they said it was open no one ever used it. Location was nice and quiet but lawn wasn't mowed and chairs in the courtyard were quite old and unstable.
