From our arrival we were welcomed by friendly staff, our check in was very quick and easy. Our room on the 2nd floor was both clean, tidy and nicely finished and quiet when the balcony doors are closed. Facilities available were more than we needed, as we were using the hotel as our base to discover the local area. The Hotel is in an excellent position to check out some of the main attractions in the centre of Paris. We would be happy to return to Hotel Lumen in the future.

Great staff, very helpful on directions, etc. Only downside, was internet speed was terrible (at least in room 105) Measured at 1.9 Mg./sec. Staff said it varied per room and I was at end of a hall. If you have to do work well, check in advance. Location is great. Breakfast is good.

We stayed for around 5 days - two adults and a teen. The hotel accommodated us with a cot in the room for our daughter and our bed was king sized. The beds took up the bulk of the room. Not a lot of space for our luggage - we were on a two week trip so we had large suitcases with us. The bathroom was a very good size. The room was small but well appointed. It was beautiful and the view from our room was pure Parisian beauty. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The location was really good. Very close to the Louvre and to the subway. And for this trip very close to the Olympic flame which was magical at night. We travelled all over Paris by transit or walking- this hotel has you well situated for that. The only drawback is the single elevator. 4 people max in it. We were on the 5th floor. So most days we’d take the stairs down and take the elevator up. We were lucky in that we never had to wait for the elevator (got there at the right times!). The staff at the front desk really made us feel welcome and seemed genuinely interested in us and how our stay was going.

We had a fabulous stay! Laurent at the rest of the staff were super friendly and helpful. It was very convenient to everything, especially The Louvre. The rooms were well appointed with all the amenities you need including nice touches like a refrigerator, safe, robes and slippers, towel warmer, personal toiletries, coffee maker, bottled water. There are fresh pastries, fruit, and water in the lobby. The breakfast was wonderful. It is right at a metro stop. The area was safe and had lots of places in walking distance. The front desk staff will call you cab if needed. We would be happy to stay there again.

Location is excellent and most convenient due to proximity to parking and to the city center. Front desk supervisors are very professional. Hotel rating is four stars but feels like two stars. Their charges are for a 4 star facility but getting a two star room. 1. Furniture is very old and damaged, overall looks very poor, dirty and unworthy of a 4 star hotel. 2. Mini fridge was dirty, stuff inside from previous clients and very noisy, it wakes you up at night. We had to turn it off every evening. 3. Overall room floor cleanliness needs lot of improvement 4. Bathroom need better cleaning daily. 5. Bathroom sewer pipes need repair and cleaning to flush properly, everyt time you wash you hands, you keep hearing water flow noise for over a minute. 6. Housekeeping need training and supervision to make sure proper cleaning is done daily, towels are refreshed, shampoo and soap are filled and floor is properly cleaned. 7. There is only one elevator, extremely slow and inefficient, it needs major maintenence to operate properly. Note to the hotel owner: this has the potential to be a great hotel, all it needs is better professional monitoring and effort because customers need the service they pay for.

Lovely 4star hotel for my husband and I to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Pros: - Very chic - Staff was so friendly and accommodating - Location was amazing and had a bit of a soho nyc vibe but with nearby attractions like the Louvre within a 5 min walk - Comfy beds - Breakfast was simple but a nice to have - Nespresso machine in room Cons: - Not sure it’s just Paris or that we were close to the Louvre but hard to hail a cab and Ubers kept cancelling on us. (Coming from nyc was surprised by this) - While there is a bar I never saw anyone there and believe it closes early. Was hoping for a bit more lobby activity. - While our room was Paris perfection with a balcony, I wish I read the fine print as a Superior Room is under 200SF. I would have sprung for something bigger.

Perfekt beliggenhed. Dejligt hotel. Rent. Imødekommende og hjælpsomt personale. God morgenmad med stort udvalg. Gode senge, men noget støj fra vejen. Dog er der gratis ørepropper. Dårlig hårtørrer så tag din egen med. Jeg kommer meget gerne igen

This hotel is amazing! It was my first time in Paris and I wanted to stay super central. This was a lovely little home. I had a small room on the 2nd floor facing the church behind the building. The room were super clean and the bed as comfortable as mine. 1 word of caution, their standard room has glass walls around the bathroom. I am a solo traveler, but for couples or families you may want to ensure you have a room with a full bathroom. Can see everything that happens in the bathroom from the other side of the see through glass wall. I will definately come back to this hotel! A big thanks to the staff for making my first stay in paris so magical!

Lovely 4star hotel for my husband and I to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Pros: - Very chic - Staff was so friendly and accommodating - Location was amazing and had a bit of a soho nyc vibe but with nearby attractions like the Louvre within a 5 min walk - Comfy beds - Breakfast was simple but a nice to have - Nespresso machine in room Cons: - Not sure it’s just Paris or that we were close to the Louvre but hard to hail a cab and Ubers kept cancelling on us. We loved our stay here, our room had all the amenities mentioned, also had robes in the room which was lovely. The staff at Lumen was so kind and beyond welcoming, would stay here again! View from the room was gorgeous as well! We booked a three person room and I want to note that when booking to be mindful because if you have three people and lot of luggage you may be playing a bit of Tetris, but didn’t bother us at all :)

The property is clean, classicly French, and perfectly situated in the heart of the city. Lots of great exploring within walking distance. The staff really took it to the next level by reaching out prior to the trip to find out if we were celebrating anything special. They asked what we'd like to see while we were there and sent us customized recommendations. We were greeted personally by Alexandre upon arrival and had wonderful service the whole time. Highly recommend Hotel Lumen!

This trip was booked and paid in full as a package but this was the only hotel that charged us again for our rooms stating the money was put down was only a deposit. They said this is how Expedia does it and would not listen when we said No everything was paid in full. When you budget for a long vacation and are traveling to many different locations you do so on. Budget and having to pay double for 2 extra rooms at the end of the stay is not very good. They did not even say anything about this when we checked in. The bathrooms are not great Betty small and the showers are very weak. Would not recommend this hotel as they now seem very shady to us.

From the moment we walked into the hotel I was so pleasantly pleased! The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. The room was well appointed…although small by US standards… it was very lovely. The location was great. Just a block to the Tuileries and Louvre and the metro. I would definitely stay here again.

This property location is good. The Hotel front desk staff did not inform us at check-in that breakfast would be an additional charge. Additionally, the dining room staff did not inform us about the cost of the breakfast. We were surprised with an additional 158 euro at checkout. Upon reaching home. I received an email from the hotel that they charged my credit an additional 19.50 euro for mini bar charges that we fid not consume. This email was accusatory and unprofessional. Further, the room was very small and did noy match the picture on the site when I made the reservation. I will not be staying at this hotel again and I will not recommend it to my family and friends when they travel to paris.in the future.

Great staff, very helpful on directions, etc. Only downside, was internet speed was terrible (at least in room 105) Measured at 1.9 Mg./sec. Staff said it varied per room and I was at end of a hall. If you have to do work well, check in advance. Location is great. Breakfast is good.

We had a fabulous stay! Laurent at the rest of the staff were super friendly and helpful. It was very convenient to everything, especially The Louvre. The rooms were well appointed with all the amenities you need including nice touches like a refrigerator, safe, robes and slippers, towel warmer, personal toiletries, coffee maker, bottled water. There are fresh pastries, fruit, and water in the lobby. The breakfast was wonderful. It is right at a metro stop. The area was safe and had lots of places in walking distance. The front desk staff will call you cab if needed. We would be happy to stay there again.

Me dieron la habitación 601, en el último piso , estaba pegada al elevador, todo el tiempo se oía el motor del elevador , muy molesto todo el día , bajé con él encargado de la recepción a decirle que quería un cambio de habitación , y no quiso , que no tenía habitaciones vacías de la misma tarifa Ni siquiera mostró empatía por la situación, El baño a pesar de ser grande , solo tiene una tina con una regadera de teléfono , de los años 60, se tiraba toda el agua ….. muy viejo el hotel le deberían de dar una remodelación Pésima experiencia !! Pagar 450 euros para estar incómodo , es una lástima

It's a nice, quiet location. Steps from the Louvre, shopping, and many wonderful cafes. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We stayed on the 5th floor, and when we got to our room, and opened the door, there was a winding staircase to get to our room. We are able-bodied, so it wasn't an issue, but carrying the suitcases was a bit of a challenge. Something to be aware of! It was warm the week we were there, and the air conditioning was not that strong. We were able to open the windows at night to get a breeze, so that helped. It wasn't a huge deal, just something else to be aware of. The bar has lovely drinks, and light bites. The water pressure in the shower was great, and the towels were the fluffiest I've had at a hotel in a long time. I would absolutely stay there again!
