This is a small hotel/motel that was recently renovated. The owners were fantastic and accommodating. The room was clean and quiet enough since it is located on a busy street. There is ample parking and is located near many restaurants. The room was on the small size and there was no microwave therefore the 4 rating for comfort. Would definitely stay again!

West Coast surf and stay is awesome!! Perfect little place! Super close to shops and food and the beach! Was fun to walk around at night and have a cozy little place to come back too. Super clean rooms and bed was comfortable and ac is so good! Dave was super nice! Great people and great dog! Got to meet Harvey cutest big fluffy dog! Thanks for the awesome time Dave and San Clemente!

What a fantastic gem! We were greeted by the owner and his dog. We loved staying here, rooms are updated and super clean, bed is comfy. It's the perfect little place to stay.

The owners were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The place was built in the fifties and brought back a lot of nostalgic memories from childhood. Very neat and clean and quaint. Nice experience.

Excellent property. Owners are on site and you can really tell they put their heart n soul into the hotel. Everything was spot on. Dave was very friendly and available to make sure we were taken care of. One of the best options in the area. Clean and comfortable. Recently upgraded so a lot of the things were new and in great shape.

This place is charming, clean, and comfy at an affordable price, and the staff kindly let us check in slightly early so we could drop off our bags and make it in time to a family memorial. It's also conveniently located to shopping, dining, and beaches. Highly recommend for travelers on a budget. Although the room's smallish, slightly worn with age, and could use a bathroom outlet - it served our simple needs perfectly! I'd definitely come back.

We had a great overnight stay at West Coast Surf and Stay! The place is in the old side, no outlet in the bathroom but Dave is very accommodating and lent us an extension cord. We love the friendly vibe and neighborhood feel. Lots of places to eat that you can walk to. We will stay here again!

Management was very accommodating. Many surfers here so, early to bed, early to rise is a common theme. It's a few blocks from the interstate so there is some street noise but it's more relaxing,white noise rather than disturbing. Bed is very comfortable.

If you’re looking for a quaint and inexpensive place to stay, with super comfortable beds and the best shower water pressure, and close to the ocean and endless dining choices, look no further! Owners are awesome and we enjoyed chatting with them. Will be back!!

The hotel was good enough for a one night stay. The closet and bathroom doors don’t line up so they don’t close, not an issue for us but might be for some. We couldn’t get our personal devices to connect to the WiFi but it wasn’t a big deal for us. Dave was super nice and met us at our arrival. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep that’s budget friendly, this fits the bill.

This motel was a great value for the price, with a spotless room at check-in that, while small, made excellent use of the space with some amenities like a mini fridge and small coffee setup. Internet was strong for phones and streaming. The TV had some apps available like Hulu and Netflix that would could sign in to if you have an account. The twin beds were comfortable, and the room stayed cool thanks to a strong A/C, though it was just as pleasant with the windows open. The owners were incredibly kind, quick to help, and offered great local knowledge that made the stay even better. There are several food options within walking distance of the motel. 10/10, would stay again.

Great location for everything San Clemente. The owners, Dave and Ann Marie, are kind, engaging, and super helpful. The bed was amazingly comfortable and though the rooms are small, they are ideal for people spending most of their time out and about (like at the beach!). We will, 100%, stay here again next time we are in the area.

If you’re just swinging through town, or staying for the surf, this place was perfect. The owner was welcoming, Dave, and he was always checking on us to make sure we were loving our stay. Also, ask about the coffee he has in the room, a great story of why they serve it.

If you’re just swinging through town, or staying for the surf, this place was perfect. The owner was welcoming, Dave, and he was always checking on us to make sure we were loving our stay. Also, ask about the coffee he has in the room, a great story of why they serve it.

This motel was a great value for the price, with a spotless room at check-in that, while small, made excellent use of the space with some amenities like a mini fridge and small coffee setup. Internet was strong for phones and streaming. The TV had some apps available like Hulu and Netflix that would could sign in to if you have an account. The twin beds were comfortable, and the room stayed cool thanks to a strong A/C, though it was just as pleasant with the windows open. The owners were incredibly kind, quick to help, and offered great local knowledge that made the stay even better. There are several food options within walking distance of the motel. 10/10, would stay again.

This place is charming, clean, and comfy at an affordable price, and the staff kindly let us check in slightly early so we could drop off our bags and make it in time to a family memorial. It's also conveniently located to shopping, dining, and beaches. Highly recommend for travelers on a budget. Although the room's smallish, slightly worn with age, and could use a bathroom outlet - it served our simple needs perfectly! I'd definitely come back.

The owners and managers went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Close to excellent cafes and diners. Close to the beach. Close to I-5. Quiet, friendly place.

Amazing stay at Dave's place! Bed is comfy and Dave is full of advice regarding surfing in the area. I definitely recommend to stay there if you are at San Clemente

We had an incredible stay at west coast it was a réal highlight of our trip and we wish we could have stayed longer ! The room were big, clean, bed super comfortable and super quiet. The hôtel is very convienently located if you want to enjoy SC or surf. Big shoutout to the hosts that are incredible people and helpful and their dog Harvey is adorable.
