Went during off season so a lot of the local restaurants, aside from what was in the hotel were closed. Also, when we were there the pool and spa were not open yet and still under construction. This was not noted at the time of the booking. Overall, hotel and staff were great and would recommend. If we were to return to Malta, this would be a definite consideration for a return stay.

Excellent stay with delicious breakfast and fantastic staff, special mention to Abishek and Angela. The hotel is very well designed with a rooftop pool and an indoor cave pool which is really nice and overlooks the bay. Lovely boutique room which is unlike any room I have stayed in before and fitted the theme of the hotel. The hotel is quite remote with limited restaurants nearby however I had a hire for the duration of my stay so this was not a problem and I believe there is public transport close to the hotel there is also a restaurant at the hotel. Parking is available outside the hotel however it can get quite busy. The only issue I had was my room was a little noisy as it was located on the side of the busy road however I believe many of the rooms face the bay. Overall an excellent stay in a unique hotel with wonderful staff and a great place to stay while exploring a beautiful country. I would recommend getting a hire car to fully explore the island, parking is also free in most locations which is a bonus.

We had a waterside room and could be in the sea with seconds of leaving the room. The enterance is just off a busy mainroad, with nightlife only a 10 mins taxi ride away. Breakfast was fresh, with a good selection. Service was mainly very good, there were one, or two minor issues at a £250 per night we would have expect a near to perfect service, however, we would definitely go back. On-the-roof pool area was very good, the views from most areas of the hotel were truly stunning.

L'hôtel est vraiment très sympa, atypique mais très sympa. Les miroirs au plafond, et autour du lit, le lit rond et matelassé, les murs insonorisés, la piscine/spa souterraine privatisable en soirée, bref il n'est pas fait pour des familles avec des enfants. Le personnel et à l'écoute et très professionnel, le personnel de ménage et aux petits soins, le resto et le pub sont franchement bien et les plats sont de qualité. La piscine sur le toit donne une vue magnifique sur la baie de San Pawl, et il y a suffisamment de transats pour tt le monde. Le seul petit point négatif et le problème de stationnement autour de l'hôtel si vous avez une voiture de location. Je recommande vivement.

We enjoyed the breakfast, ordering from the menu was nice, however we would’ve appreciated a wider choice of fruit options in the buffet section. We ate dinner once at the hotel, the portions were huge, neither of us could finish our meal - two sides each came with a lot of the main courses. The room was comfortable - it had an in room jacuzzi which we had paid extra for. On entering the room the floor was wet with condensation, it was really slippery. This was dangerous. We managed to try it out by leaving the air con on constantly which was achievable when we got a second room key, this was removed from the slot once or twice by staff and then the wet floor recurred. The jacuzzi sadly didn’t work for the first three nights of our four night stay. The hotel spend three days trying to fix it and then we were able to use it on our final night. This was a real shame and part of the reason we had selected the room. They did refund some money which we appreciated. Overall the hotel is new, the roof top pool and bar and the indoor pool are nice. Hopefully the spa will be up and running soon. We never struggled to find parking on the road outside which was handy. The staff tried to help sort the jacuzzi but it was a shame it took 3 days out of the four we were there. I wouldn’t bother with a jacuzzi room in the future, our room also led directly out to the sea with a ladder and that was far better.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at this hotel! Our long weekend was incredibly relaxing, even though we visited during the off-season—the weather still allowed us to enjoy both the rooftop pool and bar. Their mojitos are second to none, made with premium liquor brands. The cave pool in the basement on level -2 was also impressive; the water was warm, and the cavern itself was spacious, featuring side windows that offered beautiful views of the bay (no need to worry about feeling confined). The soothing sound and ambiance of the waterfall added to the relaxation. For those who love swimming outdoors, you can access the bay directly from level -3. The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping our room tidy every day. Staff members consistently exceeded our expectations with their service. In addition to the hotel's remarkable restaurants, there are two other dining options next door and more just down the street, plus a convenient store nearby. Public transportation is easily accessible with a bus stop only steps away, and we found Bolt rides to Valetta and Mdina quick and reliable. This adults-only hotel creates a peaceful atmosphere that made our trip extra rejuvenating. We definitely plan to return—it’s rare to find a place that excels in every aspect.

Upon our arrival, we were excited to enjoy the amenities offered by the hotel, including the hot tub in our room. Unfortunately, within just 10 minutes of checking in, the glass shower door in our bathroom broke. I want to emphasize that the breakage was not due to any misuse or mishandling on our part but appeared to be caused by a defect in the shower door itself. The situation was reported immediately, yet the issue was not resolved during our entire stay. The broken shower door made it extremely difficult to take a shower safely, and the delay in addressing this issue significantly impacted our overall comfort and experience at your hotel. Additionally, despite booking a room with a hot tub, we were unable to use it for an entire day due to glass shards around it. Even after the cleaning staff had attended to the room, there was still glass present, posing a safety hazard. Throughout our 3-day stay, no one from the hotel staff reached out to us to discuss or resolve these damages. Instead of offering any assistance or solutions, we were blamed for the damage. Furthermore, we were not given an option to change rooms, which would have been a reasonable and expected response in such a situation. To make matters worse, at the time of our check-out, a charge of €170 was placed on our bill for the broken shower door. This charge was applied without any prior discussion or warning.

We had a lovely stay. The hotel was very unique with a feeling of luxury. The staff was very friendly and accommodating from the moment we stepped in to the hotel. Unfortunately there was a drainage smell in our hotel room during the night time which was very unpleasant to wake up to. Apart from that, the hotel does have a lot of potential and room of improvement for the long run ! Thanks for the stay, we loved it !

This hotel was a dream to stay at. It was clean, the views from the balcony were amazing! The staff were all very helpful and personable. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. It is a bit further away from everything else but worth it. I will definitely rebook with them not one bad thing to say!

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön in der Bucht. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Hot tub und die Aussicht das ganze Zimmer war Luxus pur. Jeden Morgen aufs Neue. Die Zimmer sind wirklich gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten mit Selena im housekeeping eine ganz tolle Maid. Aber auch alle anderen waren total nett. Ich würde nochmal hin.

Super hotel, sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Lage ist in der ruhigen Ecke von Saint Pauls, was wirklich super ist. Tolle Zimmer und super sauber. Kleiner Minuspunkt bekommt leider das Frühstück. Wenn man zur Stosszeit Frühstücken geht,dauert es manchmal ewig bis man bedient wird. Was nicht dem Personal geschuldet ist sondern der Organisation. Wir würden trotzdem immer wieder kommen weil es da wirklich einfach nett ist.

We had a waterside room and could be in the sea with seconds of leaving the room. The enterance is just off a busy mainroad, with nightlife only a 10 mins taxi ride away. Breakfast was fresh, with a good selection. Service was mainly very good, there were one, or two minor issues at a £250 per night we would have expect a near to perfect service, however, we would definitely go back. On-the-roof pool area was very good, the views from most areas of the hotel were truly stunning.

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön in der Bucht. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Hot tub und die Aussicht das ganze Zimmer war Luxus pur. Jeden Morgen aufs Neue. Die Zimmer sind wirklich gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten mit Selena im housekeeping eine ganz tolle Maid. Aber auch alle anderen waren total nett. Ich würde nochmal hin.

We enjoyed the breakfast, ordering from the menu was nice, however we would’ve appreciated a wider choice of fruit options in the buffet section. We ate dinner once at the hotel, the portions were huge, neither of us could finish our meal - two sides each came with a lot of the main courses. The room was comfortable - it had an in room jacuzzi which we had paid extra for. On entering the room the floor was wet with condensation, it was really slippery. This was dangerous. We managed to try it out by leaving the air con on constantly which was achievable when we got a second room key, this was removed from the slot once or twice by staff and then the wet floor recurred. The jacuzzi sadly didn’t work for the first three nights of our four night stay. The hotel spend three days trying to fix it and then we were able to use it on our final night. This was a real shame and part of the reason we had selected the room. They did refund some money which we appreciated. Overall the hotel is new, the roof top pool and bar and the indoor pool are nice. Hopefully the spa will be up and running soon. We never struggled to find parking on the road outside which was handy. The staff tried to help sort the jacuzzi but it was a shame it took 3 days out of the four we were there. I wouldn’t bother with a jacuzzi room in the future, our room also led directly out to the sea with a ladder and that was far better.

We really enjoyed our stay here for lots of reasons. Right on St Paul’s Bay, we booked a sea view room which had a glass balcony so you could see the water from the room too. The styling of the hotel is quirky and eclectic, with its dark interiors and mood lighting. The room and bathroom is a great size with lots of storage, and a big circular bed with deep buttoning. The restaurant was excellent- really great quality food. The bar has a pool table, sports screens and a nice atmosphere. Both have great views as you are right on the water. The staff were very warm and welcoming.

My spouse and I recently checked in at Damare Resort & Spa for our honeymoon, booking a suite with beach access. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected and paid for. Upon arrival, the general upkeep of the property appeared less maintained than suggested by online ratings and photos. Our biggest issue, however, was with the room itself. We had booked and paid for a spacious suite with direct beach access. What we received was a tiny room that bore no resemblance to a suite, and no beach access. Instead, we had a small, two-foot walkout onto artificial turf, situated off a cliff, definitely not the "beach access" we were promised. We approached the front desk to address this discrepancy, explaining that the room was not what we had paid for. We requested to be moved to a suite we had booked. The staff informed us there was "nothing they could do," leaving us with no resolution. To compound our frustration, after returning to our room, a glass vase was dropped outside our door. Shards of glass then splintered and entered our room through the gap under the door. Given the significant disparity disparity between what was advertised and what we received, we felt we had no option but to check out immediately. We are extremely dissatisfied with our stay and the hotel's refusal to issue a refund despite the misrepresentation of the room and the overall negative experience.

Die Fotos sahen fantastisch aus und der Strandzugang mit kleinen Buchten, Booten und der Pool sind herrlich. Für Gäste, die sich nicht benehmen können, kann keiner was. Die Zimmer mit Whirlpool sind Mega, das Wasser wird allerdings nicht gewechselt und die automatische Einstellung dass der tub einen sechs Uhr weckt muss man ausstellen!!! Die Aussicht ist grandios. Upon our arrival, we were excited to enjoy the amenities offered by the hotel, including the hot tub in our room. Unfortunately, within just 10 minutes of checking in, the glass shower door in our bathroom broke. I want to emphasize that the breakage was not due to any misuse or mishandling on our part but appeared to be caused by a defect in the shower door itself. The situation was reported immediately, yet the issue was not resolved during our entire stay. The broken shower door made it extremely difficult to take a shower safely, and the delay in addressing this issue significantly impacted our overall comfort and experience at your hotel. Additionally, despite booking a room with a hot tub, we were unable to use it for an entire day due to glass shards around it. Even after the cleaning staff had attended to the room, there was still glass present, posing a safety hazard. Throughout our 3-day stay, no one from the hotel staff reached out to us to discuss or resolve these damages. Instead of offering any assistance or solutions, we were blamed for the damage. Furthermore, we were not given an option to change rooms, which would have been a reasonable and expected response in such a situation. Hotel was new in July ‘23 and looks still to have some teething problems, mainly with the service of the restaurant staff. Unfortunately lack of attention and snottyness from the senior restaurant person led to a bad experience on our last evening. We were left waiting for cutlery, wanting to order for over 40 mins and getting the order wrong, only for her to huff and walk away and offer no apology whatsoever. Also due to lack of communication we never knew what was on the menu or not until after ordering (I.e. ordering a pizza and 15 minutes later being told “no pizza today.”) Room however was great, apart from the disco light in the bathroom with a flashing LED above the shower, which was apparently fixed 3 times on our first day 👀👀👀 The restriction on own bought water and snack in the room is something to be aware of (it will be confiscated if you bring in anything from outside the hotel) but at the same time there is a lack of available “room water” with one <1 litre bottle you had to take to reception for a refill every time it was empty. It is a glass bottle so also cannot be taken poolside or anywhere other than drank in the room. Very annoying in the heat and especially when you have a pregnant wife who consumes more than normal. Overall we had a good stay and the hotel itself has been beautifully done however be aware of the lack of attention in the Italian restaurant, lack of communication and severe lack of empathy to any feedback.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at this hotel! Our long weekend was incredibly relaxing, even though we visited during the off-season—the weather still allowed us to enjoy both the rooftop pool and bar. Their mojitos are second to none, made with premium liquor brands. The cave pool in the basement on level -2 was also impressive; the water was warm, and the cavern itself was spacious, featuring side windows that offered beautiful views of the bay (no need to worry about feeling confined). The soothing sound and ambiance of the waterfall added to the relaxation. For those who love swimming outdoors, you can access the bay directly from level -3. The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping our room tidy every day. Staff members consistently exceeded our expectations with their service. In addition to the hotel's remarkable restaurants, there are two other dining options next door and more just down the street, plus a convenient store nearby. Public transportation is easily accessible with a bus stop only steps away, and we found Bolt rides to Valetta and Mdina quick and reliable. This adults-only hotel creates a peaceful atmosphere that made our trip extra rejuvenating. We definitely plan to return—it’s rare to find a place that excels in every aspect.

El servicio de habitaciones arruinó nuestra estancia el día de check out. A las 11:05 nos echo de la habitación y eso que estaba el cartel de no molestar y ya estábamos por salir. El chico de la piscina y la recepción, en cambio, fueron geniales.

Excellent stay with delicious breakfast and fantastic staff, special mention to Abishek and Angela. The hotel is very well designed with a rooftop pool and an indoor cave pool which is really nice and overlooks the bay. Lovely boutique room which is unlike any room I have stayed in before and fitted the theme of the hotel. The hotel is quite remote with limited restaurants nearby however I had a hire for the duration of my stay so this was not a problem and I believe there is public transport close to the hotel there is also a restaurant at the hotel. Parking is available outside the hotel however it can get quite busy. The only issue I had was my room was a little noisy as it was located on the side of the busy road however I believe many of the rooms face the bay. Overall an excellent stay in a unique hotel with wonderful staff and a great place to stay while exploring a beautiful country. I would recommend getting a hire car to fully explore the island, parking is also free in most locations which is a bonus.

The only issue I had was my room was a little noisy as it was located on the side of the busy road however I believe many of the rooms face the bay. Overall an excellent stay in a unique hotel with wonderful staff and a great place to stay while exploring a beautiful country. I would recommend getting a hire car to fully explore the island, parking is also free in most locations which is a bonus.

We had a waterside room and could be in the sea with seconds of leaving the room. The enterance is just off a busy mainroad, with nightlife only a 10 mins taxi ride away. Breakfast was fresh, with a good selection. Service was mainly very good, there were one, or two minor issues at a £250 per night we would have expect a near to perfect service, however, we would definitely go back. On-the-roof pool area was very good, the views from most areas of the hotel were truly stunning.

This hotel is lovely with luxury facilities however the area doesn’t have many things to do but a 30 min Uber can take you to any city - my only recommendation for this hotel is to add 2/3 table tennis tables for people to play

We checked in with Marija and she was great. She even showed us our room and how everything worked. The room itself was really nice. The view was unbeatable and it was spacious enough. It would have been nice to have a table on the balcony. Hotel location was nice but there wasn’t much to do in the area, which also lacked places to eat. You’d have to walk about 40 minutes to get into St Paul where most of the restaurants are. We loved the hotel’s direct access to the sea and the infinity pool on the roof. Service was great from daily cleaning to the waiters/waitresses everywhere in the hotel. The breakfast in the morning was very generous but the quality of the ingredients was questionable. You would have the same experience at dinner. Both the pub and Apulia’s dishes were generally abundant in size but they lack in quality of ingredients. You can tell the chefs are trying to work with what they have. Another thing I didn’t like but that might be a very minor point to most people, was the music they put on in the common areas. It was always cheap song covers which didn’t give a nice vibe.

This hotel is absolutely fab so modern and staff so friendly and very helpful and hotel so clean however the location around the hotel was so quiet and no shops bars restaurants to go too apart from1 lovely Indian restaurant next dr but other than that you would need to get a bus or taxis to anywere, just a bit too remote & outa the way for us we did go walking to see what was around but we didn’t find anything within walking distance I’m afraid

Contemporary modern small hotel with Italian themed restaurant and good bar, situated on edge of Bay with rooftop pool and sea view rooms with balcony. The dark decor in the staircase did pose a slight problem for those of us not so young. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

We enjoyed the breakfast, ordering from the menu was nice, however we would’ve appreciated a wider choice of fruit options in the buffet section. We ate dinner once at the hotel, the portions were huge, neither of us could finish our meal - two sides each came with a lot of the main courses. The room was comfortable - it had an in room jacuzzi which we had paid extra for. On entering the room the floor was wet with condensation, it was really slippery. This was dangerous. We managed to try it out by leaving the air con on constantly which was achievable when we got a second room key, this was removed from the slot once or twice by staff and then the wet floor recurred. The jacuzzi sadly didn’t work for the first three nights of our four night stay. The hotel spend three days trying to fix it and then we were able to use it on our final night. This was a real shame and part of the reason we had selected the room. They did refund some money which we appreciated. Overall the hotel is new, the roof top pool and bar and the indoor pool are nice. Hopefully the spa will be up and running soon. We never struggled to find parking on the road outside which was handy. The staff tried to help sort the jacuzzi but it was a shame it took 3 days out of the four we were there. I wouldn’t bother with a jacuzzi room in the future, our room also led directly out to the sea with a ladder and that was far better.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at this hotel! Our long weekend was incredibly relaxing, even though we visited during the off-season—the weather still allowed us to enjoy both the rooftop pool and bar. Their mojitos are second to none, made with premium liquor brands. The cave pool in the basement on level -2 was also impressive; the water was warm, and the cavern itself was spacious, featuring side windows that offered beautiful views of the bay (no need to worry about feeling confined). The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping our room tidy every day. Staff members consistently exceeded our expectations with their service. In addition to the hotel's remarkable restaurants, there are two other dining options next door and more just down the street, plus a convenient store nearby. Public transportation is easily accessible with a bus stop only steps away, and we found Bolt rides to Valetta and Mdina quick and reliable. This adults-only hotel creates a peaceful atmosphere that made our trip extra rejuvenating. We definitely plan to return—it’s rare to find a place that excels in every aspect.

We really enjoyed our stay here for lots of reasons. Right on St Paul’s Bay, we booked a sea view room which had a glass balcony so you could see the water from the room too. The styling of the hotel is quirky and eclectic, with its dark interiors and mood lighting. The room and bathroom is a great size with lots of storage, and a big circular bed with deep buttoning. The restaurant was excellent- really great quality food. The bar has a pool table, sports screens and a nice atmosphere. Both have great views as you are right on the water. The staff were very warm and welcoming.

Super hotel, sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Lage ist in der ruhigen Ecke von Saint Pauls, was wirklich super ist. Tolle Zimmer und super sauber. Kleiner Minuspunkt bekommt leider das Frühstück. Wenn man zur Stosszeit Frühstücken geht,dauert es manchmal ewig bis man bedient wird. Was nicht dem Personal geschuldet ist sondern der Organisation. Wir würden trotzdem immer wieder kommen weil es da wirklich einfach nett ist.

The rooms with access to the sea are the best thing about the hotel. It’s easy to go for a dip if you don’t mind boats moored up around you. The breakfast is also first rate and the staff are super friendly. However, this hotel is not really a Spa, there is no onsite therapists and no gym!! I’m glad I only stayed two nights, which is probably about the right length of time to spend in this hotel. It’s 6 out of 10.

Hotel room was lovely, large space. We had a hot tub but only used it once. View from room over the harbour was beautiful. Not much around the area but this was ideal for us as we were spending 2 nights to relax before moving on to Sliema. Restaurant was lovely, breakfast menu there was loads to choose from and plenty of it. Pool was lovely with music and comfy beds. Vibe was relaxed and just what we needed. Perfect hotel for relaxing, not sure if you wanted to walk where there is but would recommend. Indoor pool looked great, although the floor was covered in algae but I think it was down to the natural rock.

We had high hopes, our first trip away without the kids since our son was born 11 years ago! The hotel exceeded all of our expectations. The breakfast offering was incredible, and the on site restaurant had a wonderful selection of freshly cooked food. The location was perfect for us, a quiet little bay, and the roof top pool was stunning. Our favourite place to sit was by the sea, listening to the waves lapping at the shore. The sea was warm to swim in. The air conditioning in the room was artic (in a good way!) Staff were friendly and helpful, we'd love to come back - highly recommend a stay here

One thing … allowing external clients to come to occupy pool and beach side sunbeds… means you cannot maybe find a place as a hotel paying guest. These people come, leave towels on sunbeds and disappear for the day… that needs to be monitored better for paying hotel guests. Otherwise recommend the Hotel.
