We requested refund after 15 minutes, as the parking area wasnt as described. And we changed the otel with better parkering space, as we werent able to park close to the hotel as described in description. They refused to refund.

Very cozy and cute boutique hotel. The staff are very welcome and accommodating. There’s a few stairs to climb but very much worth it for the most breathtaking views. This place is truly a gem. The staff and owner were very kind.

You are family here in the best way possible! Maran House is absolutely incredible. I fell in love with my beautiful room from the first minute. The beds and pillows are so comfortable, there is plenty of hot water, the breakfast is generous and tasty, the views are amazing, you're walkable to so much great stuff (food, shopping, historical churches and mosques, etc), and most of all, the proprietor and the staff are the most beautifully kind people you'll meet in your life. Thank you so much Omar and all of the staff, you're the best!

Amazing and very helpful staff in a beautiful boutique hotel.

The hotel is located on a very steep slope with many steps to reach it, so it is definitely not suitable for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues. However, the view was amazing, looking down over the valley of Mesopotamia. Our room rate included breakfast, but unfortunately my son has a gluten allergy, so he could not eat any bread and the breakfast choices were already quite limited. When we asked if they could prepare some fried potatoes (chips) for him instead, we were told there would be an extra charge. They ended up charging nearly £6 for a portion of chips, which is one of the most expensive chips I have ever paid for. Considering we had already paid for breakfast as part of the room rate, and my son could not eat the bread options available, it was disappointing that they still charged such a high price instead of accommodating a guest with an allergy. Because of this experience, I will give this property a 3-star review and would not stay here again. It is not about the money — it is about the principle. It is a shame that for the sake of £6 they could not accommodate a guest with dietary allergies.
