The hotel was beautiful. The atmosphere was great and the room was very nice! However, I did book strictly on the hot tub and when we got there, it was absolutely disgusting. The water was green with brown the rim. We spoke to the front desk and they said it is cleaned every day, but there’s no way it is other than that. Everything was great.

We had a 2 complications. Our room was hot on arrival and when I moved my pillow I found a live spider on the bed. Went down to see what could be done about the room and the manger gave us a new room thankfully. Other than that the hotel is great! Nice little restaurant on the bottom. Nice big pool on the inside. Lots of parking. There is a little market/store on the inside as well. Will most likely come again.

Love this hotel! Stay here quite often! Staff is great! It is very clean. Easy parking. Best food and drink at Bar Louie in the hotel. Love that they have a clean pool and hot tub.

No parking, they had an event going on and after I got back from a dinner I had to drive around for hours waiting on the event to end so I could park near the hotel. Hotel room was hot couldn’t get it to go below 74 degrees. Staff not very engaged or friendly.

They are doing renovations so it will look nice some day. I liked how all the room face in doors- problem - no window to outside. The fire alarm went off - false alarm but still need to wear warm clothes at 11 pm to go outside. Overall it was good

The property was a good price point for the distance from Chicago and conditions of the room (things could be a little more updated/cleaner). The hot tub and pool were very relaxing! The staff was attentive but could have been a bit more pleasant with their interactions. Overall good experience.

Room was ok, could have been cleaner. I noticed dust on the baseboards and sink. I feel like this hotel wasn't at the usual Holiday Inn standards. However check in and out was easy. Also coffee and tea should be available in the lobby. The machine in the room was dirty and didnt work and i wasnt able to get any.

Our first room was dirty, there were blood stains among other stains in the bed. When we called the front desk they came to the room with a sheet and handed it to us to change the bed. We asked they come and see the bed. When they saw it went to the mattress, they offered us another room. We stayed for 3 nights. Two of the three nights the fire alarm went off and we had to exit the hotel in the middle of the night. It has been days since we checked out and we still haven’t received our incidentals charge returned or the credit they said they would give us for the dirty room. I have called twice now and they say they will call back, yet no one calls back. Do not recommend!

The customer service was not there at all people waiting at the desk for 20 mins then room had bugs in the bathroom under the sheets roaches in the hallways had to get new keys 3times cause they would stop working had to check out at 1 am due to the bugs in the room and they are very rude I would not recommend staying here thought it would be nice just to come for a concert but I was wrong the health department needs to go check this place out

The room was kind of dirty and the upgrades are cheap. The floor was dirty and hair was in the bathroom. The staff was nice and the beds were comfortable. The location was great close enough to the city but enough of stuff around it so you don’t have to go to the city.

I don’t know how to start with this review I was looking forward for a relaxing couple of days but the hotel made that impossible. First I gel or like I was catfish with what the picture on line it’s definitely doesn’t look like that after you check in. The pool is tiny and constantly lots of people in it, children yelling playing which is fine but if you’re looking for relaxation. It’s not gonna happen. I booked a two queen bed but they gave me a single queen bed on 1st floor on a handicapped room so taking a shower was hard because the shower was really low I had to bend down to take a shower, then after you shower all the water gets outside even with a curtain and doesn’t drain all the way so halo of the bathroom is flooded and wet. Third they out chairs and tables right in front of the rooms so when people sit and talked you can hear all the conversation inside your room it’s so noisy you can even hear the yelling of the kids all the way from the swimming pool. I asked for a different room but they didn’t have any they said, because the sheets has lots of hairs inside and they’re is a blood stained in one of the pillow cases. They had to changed all the linens but house keeping manager didn’t not even apologize and just gave me a cold look like i inconvenience them for having to change the sheets. I checked out one day early because of all these experience. I will not come back I wasted my money here. I wish I can post the pics here of the sheets with blood and hair.

The property is not at all what the pictures online on Expedia showed. My room had ceilings that were peeling , holes in the walls and a continually running water in the bathroom tub. If I hadn't arrived at such a late hour from my flight, I would have left even earlier than 7a the next morning. Thankfully I was able to book another hotel which was way better than this one. I barely slept at all. The bathroom was very small and it was a little noisy in the middle of the night. The customer service was nice, much much nicer than the room.

Hotel was easy to find, although there was no signage on the building itself so I had to double check the address to make sure I was at the right place. The room was ok, the shower head had a part that was falling off the wall, there was a small stain on the bed sheet, and a loose bandaid on the bathroom floor (full disclosure, I thought it was my kid's at first but as we were getting ready to leave, I told them to pick it up and put it in the trash and they told me it wasn't theirs so that grossed me out.) The common areas were well kept and the staff was very nice.

The first room we were in smelled of mildew and resembled something like a motel and not the high quality hotel we thought we booked. The lobby looked better than the room. We were finally moved to a different room, this room had black mold in the bathroom, central AC did NOT work and my partner was bitten by bedbugs. The next day we were moved to another room. That’s 3 rooms in two days.

The rooms were not clean at all. It was disgusting, the shower clearly wasn’t cleaned out after the last visit. It has hair, dirt, and some sticky stuff in it. When you shower the tub fills even with the drain open. The room smelled like cigarettes and sweat . The toilet had sticky residue on it. I booked a king bed and they only had a room with 2 double beds. The directions to the room were unclear and the building is a maze!

It wasn’t terrible. We did find a couple socks from prior people who stayed there underneath the bed, along with a bottle of some sort & a hot fry. Also, the top covers were stained or dirty and had a burn hole in one of the beds sheets.

Our 4-night stay was great. The property and room were clean, and the staff were nice and friendly. We were understanding that there was a bit of a cooling issue due to the high heat and humidity outside, but other than that, everything was pleasant! The area felt safe and plenty of stores and food in the area for variety.

The room was very clean and comfortable but the listing did not say that it overlooked the pool. While the pool closed at 9, loud people and screaming kids were out on the patio area near the pool until quite late. But the room was very nice.

Front desk agent nice on arrival. However, did not give a map or directions to the room. A/C in entire public space not working, so it was 102F inside. The indoor Pool appeared greenish due being really warm and probably algae growth. Once in room, next door guests were playing rap music really loud and smoking Marijuana until 3:30AM, when I finally called the front desk. F/D agent called the room next door and told them that we complained instead of keeping it anonymous. We immediately heard the people next door talking crap about us through the wall. We finally changed rooms at 4AM. Once in the new room we found that there was no jackstand for luggage, no pen/paper to take notes on our experience, and to beat us down even further, the TOILET WAS NOT WORKING! Also, we initially reserved a single king room, but we were moved to a room with 2 single beds. The night f/d agent told us that the people smoking weed (this property is advertised right at the front desk as non-smoking!)and blasting music were the children of "diamond members" as if that makes it ok. In the morning we told a f/d agent that this horrible experience and failure to deliver on what they are supposed to provide warrants a full refund. They called later and said they would compensate us 20%. Unacceptable! We will be contacting Orbitz, who we booked the hotel through. If they cannot rectify it, we will dispute the charges with our credit card company. We recommend avoiding this property!

The night f/d agent told us that the people smoking weed (this property is advertised right at the front desk as non-smoking!)and blasting music were the children of "diamond members" as if that makes it ok. In the morning we told a f/d agent that this horrible experience and failure to deliver on what they are supposed to provide warrants a full refund. They called later and said they would compensate us 20%. Unacceptable! We will be contacting Orbitz, who we booked the hotel through. If they cannot rectify it, we will dispute the charges with our credit card company. We recommend avoiding this property!

Nice clean place. With that being said, we stayed in room 212 and the door was hard to open and very loud, you had to push on it super hard! The room temperature would with be too hot or freezing, no in between, didn’t sleep well because of that. Bed was very comfortable though.

Location to Skokie was good. The staff were less than friendly with attitude of “if you can do it, why are you asking me to do it?” Example: we needed some more towels since we were staying for two days. We asked for two more towels for a suite we were paying several hundreds of dollars. The front desk told me to dial housekeeping, if I wanted their number? I was shocked to be treated like that, maybe it was my color? Anyway, I could give several examples but I would assume you get the attitude of which I speak. Also, breakfast both days, ran out one hour before it closed. Not a good choice esp. for the money spent.

So the facilities were excellent however getting any staff to respond was a nightmare. I booked a 2 queen standard room for 4 adults and was inly provided with 2 towels. When I politely asked for a few more I was told that "they didn't have any". I asked again and got somewhat of an attitude. After asking for a third time, I was finally provided with them quite a bit later. There were no towels at the hot tub or pool and there were unattended children there with no oversight from staff. We tried calling the front desk before our checking to see if the rooms were ready (as we were coming in from out of town for a funeral) and couldn't get anyone to pick up. 3 calls later someone answered with no clear answer if our rooms were ready. They just told us to come in and see. Finally, the toilet in our room clogged and yet again, no answer from the front desk. It was hours before someone came to the room to fix the toilet. I'm usually not a picky person and the hotel was in great shape but it seems like the place was either severely understaffed or the staff just didn't care. Sorry to say it but I was disappointed in our stay.

They told him they didn’t have any and basically we were SOL. I’m not happy about this. What do they expect us to do? Dry off with hand towels. Finally the guy brought us some but with the worst attitude. Not only did he roll his eyes, he walked away as I was thanking him. So, we head out and spend the day in Chicago. I want to note that before we left I ENSURED there was no any indications that we didn’t want our room cleaned. This is our 4th night here and we haven’t had a problem. Well we came back after 9PM and our room hadn’t been touched. It was exactly the same as we left. I can 100% tell it it was that rude housekeeper that was trying to “stick it to me.” So I called the front desk and she said there was nothing she could do but she told me they would come tomorrow. We paid extra for a room with two queen beds. My wife and our two kids were going to sleep two to a bed. We've done this the three other times we stayed at this hotel. Instead, they gave us a room with two standard beds. It was very uncomfortable and hard for us to sleep. We contacted management immediately after arrival, but they were no help. We contacted them five times about the issue and they were reluctant to resolve it. Apparently, there were no other rooms available, but we were seeking a price adjustment / refund for the queen beds that we did not get in our room. We also had a room that did not have an outside window, and that was unexpected. We spent most of our trip trying to communicate with management about the issue, with no resolution. That definitely made the trip less relaxing and fun than it should have been. Our last communication, they told us the manager was coming to the property, but they would not let us speak to the manager, and kept insisting that they would contact us. They never did. They told me again they would call me 15 minutes later, and I have yet to hear back hours later. We won't be back again.

I stayed 2 nights as part of a longer trip. I don't recommend paying $10 for breakast it was not good. There are several dinning options across the street or that shar the same parking lot. The fire alarm went off at 5 am on my last day. The hotel offered no apologies. They just acted as nothing happened. At minimum they could offered a free aforementioned crappy breakfast.

It is super hard to get a hold of staff when calling by phone. We got stuck in the elevator for about 10 minutes. When I notified the front desk, they just said “oh it’s fixed now”. No apologies, no check in, nothing. Housekeeping only drops off fresh towels: no beds made or anything wiped down. Bar Louie attached to it, poor quality food that is overpriced. We got chicken nuggets that were dried out, spinach artichoke dip was cold, and fries were season less. In my opinion, for the price per night, not worth it. You additionally have to pay for breakfast at the restaurant, so being breakfast or be ready to pay at least $13/person

The heat & smell from the indoor pool as walking to the elevator (a significant walk with luggage) was long & warm in summer. Beds made nicely, appreciated the room fridge. NO shower curtain which we report at night but did receive until after we showered in morning!

I would stay here again if visiting Chicago. The location was about 20 min from downtown Chicago, and there is a lot of things to do locally in Skokie. The hotel room was unseasonably warm even though we had the AC set to 67 degrees. We were still very warm in the room. The room location and parking was very good and the staff even walked you to the room with the different turns to get there. Bar Louie in the hotel was a bonus, we did not have to leave for entertainment. If you stay here I would recommend getting the breakfast added on to make things easier for you. We had pancakes, wraps, french toast, sausage, eggs, potatos, fruit, yogurt, a large array of pastry, oatmeal or cold cereal options, coffee and OJ daily.

Easy access to and from 94. Bery clean rooms, no mold, no mildew, no build up in corners or the bathroom. Very quiet, and rooms come with mini fridge and plenty of space for clothes. Beds were a little hard for my personal taste, but I slept well.
