Only booked the hotel for the pool overlooking the beach! No where at checking desk or at pool door did it say pool was under construction! Was never informed at checking by desk clerk. When I opened my curtain in am and saw caution tape and workers we immediately called front desk who said yes it was under construction. We immediately checked out that morning and moved to another hotel. They refunded us but since I prepaid three Expedia I was out the money for the second night! It’s too bad because my teenage daughters(13 & 15) were looking forward to the experience.

Loved the stay, nice hotel, affordable, with a great location and beach. But we had a bad experience with elevators broken. Only 2 elevators were working and we had to wait almost an hour to be able to get our things down from the 7th floor to check out because elevators were always full.

The property is very nice. Was very much bummed about the fact the swimming pools were closed and the restaurant that you could get breakfast from was closed. Valet parking was usually very busy. Staff were friendly.

Pool is not available, i wish we were told before arrival that their pool has a leak and it is closed. This would have made a big difference when choosing this property. I also feel that the room we stayed does not match the ones from the website. It feels that this hotel might be under renovation. Main restaurant advertised by hotel is closed. Leaving guest without choise of food and also no room service as advertised. Also, there is no other option for parking besides Valet. Cars are parked somewhere else and average time to get car can vary from 15 minutes to almost 40 minutes. Staff was very friensly though and pool is a easy walk from the pool location. I will not stay at this property again. Between the vallet and resort fees, this okay will cost you an extra 40 dollars per day. There is definitely better options out there if you take in consideration the final price.

The room they gave us had a balcony that was extremely dirty filled with trash. The hallways smelled like smoke. The beds were uncomfortable it was the worst night sleep I have ever had. I would not recomend it especially for the price not worth it!

Front desk staff friendly. Good location on the beach, The room was very dirty, the floor was sticky, your socks would get dirty from walking in it, a very bad smell in the bed and pillows. I don't think I would stay there again. improve cleaning please don't be so lazy and dirty. Check on your cleaners.

Checked-in late after long haul flight. Found four long black hairs on the bathroom wall. Informed the front desk early next morning and was offered a room change. Declined as we were unpacked and scheduled to go out for the day. We asked them to make sure it was cleaned. Returned later in the day to find room had been cleaned, but 4 black hairs still remained. We asked for them to be removed and returned later to find only two removed and two still remaining. This time we took the room change. No formal apology. No offer of compensation for the inconvenience.

The lobby is beautiful, then you go into your room and it’s kinda a let down. Old, outdated. It was big, and loved the balcony. Was sand in our bed and pubic hair on toilet, so not really clean.

This hotel is in poor condition. There was mould in the bathroom and in the vent over the door. The bathroom mirror was cracked, the toilet seat was broken and there were holes in the wall. Definitely not worth the money.

The room was dated but clean! They provide great dove products for the showers! The view from our room was incredible! The lobby still holds that vintage charm and the property feels nostalgic! The pool is absolutely stunning and huge! cons were the noise from renovations that sounded like the roof could fall in. They do not allow you to eat on the pool deck eating area even food from their pizza place in the hotel. The hotel staff is so friendly though! Also another con is they do not provide any chairs at the beach :/

I can't comment on the facilities as I didnt use them. Check in and check out was easy. Valet parking although busy was good, nice guys. The hotel needs updates, its old and has an 80's vibe, but the room was very clean, had a nice kitchenette and the beds were very comfortable. The hallways, surprisingly smelled good. For what we needed, it was great.

We had a dance convention this weekend and chose this place to stay because of the reasonable price compared to ones that are near the JW Turnberry (location of the convention). Plus, it was located right on the beach. You must valet when you get here and of course there is a charge for those built into the price of the stay. We understand that since there is no parking lot on premises, they use the lot right next door. They also let you know that it takes about 20 min to get your car so be mindful of the time. Checking in was easy and the staff is super nice. The hotel doesn’t offer much for eating except a pizza place and a small food café, they do have a small shop along with a barbershop on premises. The pool was nice, and they had plenty of towels. The beach is right there after the pool, which was very nice too. Chairs and umbrella were not included in our stay $20/umbrella and $10/1 chair. The room was a little dated and since they have stoves in the room, your neighbor might be cooking and there will be some smells coming from the rooms. The bed was not bad, but not excellent either. Sheets were cleaned but the chairs in the room were ready to fall apart. The thermostat in the room must be from the 60’s because I’ve never seen ones like these before. You might want to turn the fan down since it can be loud. Overall, the stay was not bad and not much you can do about the rooms being so dated.

Nice place for the price. Ocean front room was nice. Bathroom needed some attention. No ventilation in the bathroom. Toilet was like a rocking chair. AC Tstat was confusing. Could not set temperature. It was either On or Off. Beds were clean and comfortable. It’s an older hotel so there’s that. Only so much you can do other than a remodel. I would definitely stay again. I’m not too picky.

Clean room! Very spacious. It had a decent sized refrigerator (not a dorm fridge), a stove top, dishes. It was a mini studio apt. And the price was perfect. It was reasonable for a place right on the beach. It is older & only12 floors- not a highrise. But the history of the place makes up for that. I loved thinking about how the hotel was hear long before all the others and it is still going strong!

This property is at a great location, it’s literally right on the beach. They have been remodeling and it shows. Very nice floors and counters in the kitchenettes. The walls are PAPER THIN, however and it sounds like the loud people walking in the hall @3AM are in your room screaming. We heard the neighbors on both sides of us (even at 3AM). Bathrooms could use new doors as the bottoms look like the original door that was just repainted. The beds are firm and pillows are soft. This is not my 1st stay however noise wise this has been the worst.

Awesome views from room but problems with air conditioner making strange loud noises that could not be fixed by service, and elevator problems causing crowded elevators. The service elevators were not functioning, consequently, this exacerbated the problem.

The location was amazing… We had a few issues with late room cleanup and service so we ended up with two nights with no bedding, change or towels… The staff were OK. They charge you for parking a car if you have one… You do have access to the beach, but you have to pay for Lounges and umbrellas on the beach…

Let’s start here… Front Desk staff are the worse! We got there and didn’t receive what we booked/paid for. George Martinez was very nonchalant and condescending. He walked off and disregarded my concern. He changed his tone once my male friend politely asked him would he let his wife sleep on a rollout while he’s on a bed. This was what Mr. Martinez had suggested that WE do because THEY didn’t provide the 2 Queen sized beds. His attitude was atrocious and unacceptable. They changed our rooms in an attempt to “compensate” but with each change, just got worse. Everyone seemed preoccupied when you asked for help. The only staff we encountered pleasant and professional was a Hispanic young lady with glasses and an Afro-American young man with Locs. The hotel itself needs some work. If you’re the type that’s just looking for somewhere to lay your head and don’t care about anything… this is for you. If you’re a “neat” person…. This isn’t for you. They need work!!!! Well at least the rooms they gave us. 3 elevators and only 1 worked. We were on the 10th floor. The valet parking is a mess!!! But unfortunately you’ll have no choice because there aren’t any other parking options. We didn’t utilize their pool so I can’t comment on that area. It Looked nice but we were so over our stay because it sucked from the moment we realized they didn’t provide the service paid for AND being disrespected by George. You Don’t get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression. NEVER again!!!!!!!!!

I have stayed various times at Marco Polo and never had a bad experience. This time around it was a real nightmere as my family and I travelled for a wedding and tecnically I almost missed it because of the bad judgement of the valet parking group. I came to the lobby to request for my car to be brought and the response was less than welcoming as I was told that since I didnt reqiest the car via the phone it would take from 20 to 30 to get it. I explained the situation that I need it rigjt away as I had to be at the court house to sign as a witness to the wedding. The valet service told me that it wasnt their problem and that they would get to me when it was my turn. As a result my cousins had to ask the judge to delay the ceremony and I had to end up paying a penalty for the delay. Also the following day I requested towels to my room and it took four calls and me having to go to the reception to pick them up. When I got home upon looking at my bill I noticed that I was billed for 3 extra night of valet parking and local taxes.

Location was amazing, Staff was very friendly and helpful. My room view was great as I chose the oceanfront. Pool, Pool side bar and access to beach was perfect. My kids had great fun both in pool and the beach. Dining options were very limited. Pizza i ordered from the cafe was not great as well. Outside street was walkable with kids, so couldn't explore a lot, beach side was fine. Self parking was not available and got to inform 20 minutes prior before leaving for the valet parking. Though room was good but bathrooms were very old, definitely need a renovation. Overall, experience was good.

I liked this place . It is a 60s style place and it is a bit dated. The pool is great and the people were super nice. There is no real food option and there is not much near it. Its location is fine. At the north end of Sunny Isles, but there is nothing to walk to. Resort fees and so forth were reasonable and the room was nice with a good view and decor. I’d stay again.

We had a dance convention this weekend and chose this place to stay because of the reasonable price compared to ones that are near the JW Turnberry (location of the convention). Plus, it was located right on the beach. You must valet when you get here and of course there is a charge for those built into the price of the stay. We understand that since there is no parking lot on premises, they use the lot right next door. They also let you know that it takes about 20 min to get your car so be mindful of the time. Checking in was easy and the staff is super nice. The hotel doesn’t offer much for eating except a pizza place and a small food café, they do have a small shop along with a barbershop on premises. The pool was nice, and they had plenty of towels. The beach is right there after the pool, which was very nice too. Chairs and umbrella were not included in our stay $20/umbrella and $10/1 chair. The room was a little dated and since they have stoves in the room, your neighbor might be cooking and there will be some smells coming from the rooms. The bed was not bad, but not excellent either. Sheets were cleaned but the chairs in the room were ready to fall apart. The thermostat in the room must be from the 60’s because I’ve never seen ones like these before. You might want to turn the fan down since it can be loud. Overall, the stay was not bad and not much you can do about the rooms being so dated.

My son was excited about the pool only to find out that it was closed beyond our stay. The bathroom/ shower is outdated and small. They claim to have "breakfast" but its a very small kiosk stand in the middle of the lobby (and they didnt even have milk!!!!!!). Furthermore, I've never been to a hotel that makes you fill out paperwork just for 3 towels. None of these things were known before checking in. This place is not worth half of what they're charging. And they're only getting away with charging that much because of the beach access. Find another hotel or save your money. This place is VERY misleading.

The property is very nice. Was very much bummed about the fact the swimming pools were closed and the restaurant that you could get breakfast from was closed. Valet parking was usually very busy. Staff were friendly.

Restaurants weren’t fancy but tasty and affordable. Manager Whitney and front desk clerk John were very friendly and accommodating as well as other service employees on the property.

Ramada was good, the property it self seems a bit outdated, but it is clean. No good restaurant in the hotel but there is a lot in the area with walkable distance. The price was fair if compare it to the hotels in the same street. Not fancy but good enough. I saw some rooms renovated but we got an old one. The staff was friendly.

I dunno what ppl are talking about with some of the lower ratings. This place was awesome for the price in this area. You can tell its an older building but its pretty well upkept. The rooms are big and comfortable with some upgrades but even the older parts are fine. A FULL kitchen with comfy beds and good AC. The pool is awesome, the staff are friendly and helpful, the valet parking was smooth and effortless and very handy, front desk staff and pool staff were amazing. This place has everything you could need and is clean and safe. And who can beat the view of a thunder storm over the ocean from the 10th floor here. AND the bonus is they have the best pizza in the WORLD in the lower lobby level. Its an awesome crew of cute italians and usually pizza makes me sick but this pizza was not only delicious but not even a little bit of gut issue. I feel bad for anyone who hasnt tried this pizza honestly. This hotel was a great stopover and worth the money…

Went to my room immediately smelled marijuana. We had booked for a king room with an ocean view. There was only a queen bed with a partial side view of the ocean. I was only there for one night. There was no apologies or thoughts about my concerns from the staff. Second room at least did not smell like marijuana. The hotel says that it is smoke free, but there is a smoke and vape shop inside the hotel so that made no sense to me. The hotel is in disrepair. It is old and smelled musty. Marijuana smell smells throughout the hotel and elevator. The pool was under construction and had boarded up view of the ocean from their pool. Did not feel comfortable there would not recommend staying at this hotel.
