Very sweet little hotel. Love that every room has a kitchenette. Very clean and comfy. There is a train that passes nearby on a regular basis but it wasn’t bothersome. Had everything I needed to be comfortable. Great places to eat and a market within a couple of blocks. Beach access is about a pleasant walk about quarter mile north or south from the end of that road.

We had an excellent stay here. So pleased with the location and condition of the room. Amenities were great from the space heater to the toaster. Loved having a kitchenette. Loved all the dinning options within walking distance. Excellent customer service. We will stay here again with our two dogs.

Staff was very nice and access very convenient. I hate carpet and this was clean for someone with beach sand daily!! Its a little noisy from the courtyard but very clean and comfortable and I loved it. the kitchenette is money on a budget!!

This is a very comfortable, clean hotel centrally located in Leucadia, CA. The hotel staff members are just wonderful! Very accommodating and friendly. Parking is easy and available. We always ask for a quiet room in the back of the hotel and it’s always great! Le Papagayo is a wonderful restaurant within walking distance of the hotel…amazing breakfasts and dinners especially. The little grocery store next door to the hotel…Just Peachy…has great products for your stay. There are a number of coffee places and restaurants additionally within walking distance of the hotel.

Very clean and charming room with a delightful kitchenette and kind and friendly staff. Many great restaurants within walking distance and so close to the beach. What a great value! We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and had a blast. Close to cool, indie shops like Artifact Bookstore and Lou’s Records. I enthusiastically recommend!

The room was immaculate. Check-in was great and personal. The kitchenette was great and, if staying for a week, would absolutely come in handy. There was adequate parking for each room, and street parking was available if needed, without fees. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was very clean.

We loved everything about this place. The managers are very vested in the operations. He actually escorted us to our room and showed us where everything was. The room was immaculate - very clean. Very quiet. Loved the Spanish tile floor. Bed and comforter were really comfy. We would definitely stay here again. There were dining options next door, two doors down and a produce market next door. Parking on the property. Can’t say enough about this place.

Office open 9am to 5pm, very limited services. Railway just cross the street, very noisy when a train coming through. Smell in the room, see ants in bed. Will not live here again.

This was our second stay at the Leucadia Beach Inn and we are continuing to fall deeper in love with it. The flower smell comes through the window, everything is clean, short walk to the beach/shops/restaurants.. the lights at night and sound of the fountain! We were locals displaced by a flood and they made us feel at home. The manager is so nice!

Everything was clean. The chemical smell was very strong at first but I’m sure it was only because we were allowed to check in early. If checked in at the normal time it would not have been overly strong. It did not bother me to complain. One of my friends noticed it. But she was not staying in my room.

Cleanliness, towels, sheets, bathroom, all clean and smelled wonderful. Parking convenient and right outside our room. Quiet area, and late night check-in was accommodated. Very nice short stay!

It’s a good location, affordable, the hotel is cute and all ….but my queen bed was very sunken in — I just dealt with it because no vacancy… but the third night Sunday afternoon found about 6 -7 ants crawling ON my sheets and comforter! after we came back being out all day! Mind you we were very careful not eating on the bed or in the room. We had leftovers from restaurants in the fridge but why ants on my bed and not going to a fridge? And a few ants in the bathroom? ? Needless to say I stayed on my moms bed the last night even though they sprayed the room and offered new sheets it made me feel uneasy.. we wish we were offered a discount for the ant problem the last night because who would feel comfortable sleeping in that bed after seeing that ?

Property is quaint and cozy feeling despite being on a pretty busy street. Room is small, but adequate. It is awkward that there is just the kitchen sink, no bathroom sink, but it is ok/understandable given the size of the room. Only real complaint or issue was the bed and mattress were very worn out, creaky and not supportive.

I had a smaller room this time, but it worked fine for one person. The main issue was the air conditioning. It was a very small unit, tucked under the kitchenette structure. We were experiencing an unusual heat wave and this little wall unit couldn't cool the room efficiently. Luckily it was cooler my second night and I opened the windows. I would be cautious if you need a cool room to sleep in this summer.

Hotel is a cute little place right on Hwy 101 main drag where you can walk to everything. Room was clean and had all we needed. Only issue was the AC unit was fairly noisy and we had to use it because it was quite warm and humid. I used ear plugs. Somehow, I got the impression it was closer to the beach. We love this place! Always welcoming when we check in. Always clean. Perfect location, safe, and quiet. If there’s one thing I would have to suggest would be to upgrade the mattresses. They are worn out. This is the second room with them. I think it’s time. Otherwise this little gem is perfect!

A charming, vintage motel at a great price, but with some drawbacks: the bed was very comfortable, the location excellent, close to beach and restaurants, the manager friendly. However, the room we were in needed attention to maintenance such as chipped pain, missing grout, a cook-top that doesn't work right, a very narrow bathroom, etc.

Pros: Really really cute updated 1950s property. 12 units..mine had tiny kitchenette with table for 2, large bath tub. Good towels, good queen bed. AC is older wall unit...works well. 2 plates, bowls, cups, glasses provided....all re-usable. Microwave. Refrig. 2 burner stove. Excellent restaurants nearby. Recommend the FRENCH Bakery...the quiet one 3 blocks away for excellent almond croissants. Cons: no Kleenex. No paper towels but there is a cloth dishtowel. Well...the Coast Highway and tourists are 5 ft from unit 12 on sidewalk. The FAST train is 150 ft away and runs all night. I slept well anyway

Bed was really hard, I thought it was going to be a little nicer than what it was. Did the job, bathroom was tiny. Owners were good folks though.

Staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming! Room was clean and everything worked as it should. Parking is a bit tricky in the front, but there are spots out the back as well. Great location for everything we wanted. Would recommend!

Best spot in Encinitas for location, comfort and easy access driving or walking. Close to Coaster Station too. Kitchenette makes it perfect for budget meals too. The folks here are the best and strive to make your stay a nice experience.

Receptionist didn't seem to believe me when i called him to tell him I wasn't receiving emails from their hotel. I had to call 3 times to check in because the office considers anything past 5pm an "after hours" check in. He didn't seem to care to much, or consider it my fault I didn't get the email. Never saw any staff on duty. Bathrooms were small everything else was just ok. Nothing spectacular.

The guy who checked us in was a serious creep who insisted on showing us how the security cameras see everything on property and then came into our room after we had checked in claiming that he wanted to make sure the room was clean. For some reason he also decided to start flipping channels on the tv then gave us a lecture about not being too loud, smoking “sage”, or slamming the door. All on arrival. Big nope.

Stayed for a couple of days while in the area for an event. The motel is cute but lacks parking. Nice to have a kitchenette but there are no paper towels or a dedicated kitchen towel to wipe up the counter. While it's a pet friendly place, we had our dogs with us but they stayed in the car. We were very put off by a manager's comment to us, " you tried to get us to believe your dogs didn't come in the room." Yes, they did stay in the car, and that comment was unnecessary and rude. Kate was lovely and accomodating when I called to let her know our arrival was later than the 5:00 pm in person check in. Nice area with lots of choices for food and drink.

Hotel is a cute little place right on Hwy 101 main drag where you can walk to everything. Room was clean and had all we needed. Only issue was the AC unit was fairly noisy and we had to use it because it was quite warm and humid. I used ear plugs. Somehow, I got the impression it was closer to the beach. Staff should let folks know they have beach towels to borrow from the office. Everyone that works there is very nice.

Great location and a great deal a value for the cost. There is a train track nearby and some big trains go by but after the first night, we didn’t even hear them the second night. The hotel has just enough parking spaces for all the rooms which is a bonus as parking is at a premium is close to the beach. Room had a real half size refrigerator with a real freezer and a great little grocery store 40 yards away. All in all the great time thanks!

I stay there years ago. Happened to be in town for an event. And remembered it was a nice place by several good dining options. I remember years ago the paper reviewed this place in the travel and leisure section. Charming boutique hotel. It has everything for me, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and even a cooking stove. Staff is great, fair prices. Some wear and age in the rooms, nothing bad. Comfortable bed, the only thing that may bother you is traffic noise especially motorcycles on PCH and occasional train coaster going by. That's about it, great place to stay in a small beach city

I enjoyed my overnight stay. My room was very clean, which is extremely important to me. The staff was very helpful, which is a big plus. AND, the facility was conveniently located for my visit to the San Diego Botanical Gardens. When I next visit Leucadia/Encinitas, I plan to stay here again.

My sister and I loved the Leucadia Beach Inn. Great room with a kitchenette, location couldn't have been any better. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Will definitely come back and stay.

Room was nice. Todd and Mark were very helpful in helping us extend our stay last minute. Nearby restaurants were reasonably priced and the food was good.

This is a very comfortable, clean hotel centrally located in Leucadia, CA. The hotel staff members are just wonderful! Very accommodating and friendly. Parking is easy and available. We always ask for a quiet room in the back of the hotel and it’s always great! Le Papagayo is a wonderful restaurant within walking distance of the hotel…amazing breakfasts and dinners especially. The little grocery store next door to the hotel…Just Peachy…has great products for your stay. There are a number of coffee places and restaurants additionally within walking distance of the hotel.

Very clean and charming room with a delightful kitchenette and kind and friendly staff. Many great restaurants within walking distance and so close to the beach. What a great value! We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and had a blast. Close to cool, indie shops like Artifact Bookstore and Lou’s Records. I enthusiastically recommend!

Perfectly special spot for Encinitas every time. We’ve stayed here over the years and the folks running this place consistently deliver a clean, comfortable room and are always happy to welcome guests. Easy access to beaches, fresh food nearby to please everyone. Easy free parking. Thank you so much!

We loved the 1920s style, yet it's been updated very well without losing the charm. Our unit was very clean and the kitchenette very well equipped. Very cool, walkable location with restaurants, shops, and a store nearby.

The inn is located near restaurants as well as you can walk to the beach if your mobility is healthy. Can't beat the price for location. Rooms are small and no air conditioning.

We love how we were treated and greeted. However the big hole in the shower wall where the curtain is attached wasn’t good. There’s a tile missing by the small fridge with what appears to be a little moldy and the toilet would clog twice a day. We will comeback of course just a few things to tidy up.
