Nice spacious room, but quite warm and hard to cool (no AC). Quiet room, great bar for evenings, excellent breakfast, nice front desk staff. Room wasnt always completely cleaned and only 1 of the 2 saunas were working. Location was excellent.

This small hotel is located within walking distance of Central Station, Gran Place, the National Cathedral, and many other sights. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The common areas are comfortable and there’s a small courtyard to enjoy a drink on a pleasant evening. We were unable to connect to WiFi the first night and couldn’t reach guest services because the room phone wasn’t working. The room itself was small, but well appointed, with plenty of space to sit and relax. The bathroom lighting was not very good for me to apply makeup.

Highly recommended place to stay for both business and personal. Nice to have a decent gym and wellness experience. Staff were super helpful and accommodating. I’ll go back for sure .

The staff here were absolutely exceptional, very kind and accommodating. Seems like a small thing but the water in the hallways was such good quality it was so nice! :) Only reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is that the 'gym' was a real pull for me. The website makes it sound quite large and well kitted out. It is quite the opposite; a few cardio machines, randomly a punching bag, and some very very light weights. I was happy with the experience anyway but part of the reason I chose this hotel was for the 'gym' so it was a little dissapointing.

Great location, an easy & quick walk to the Grand Place, the restaurant in the hotel is very good and the bar is awesome. Love the patio in front when the sun is out. The hotel entrance is on a street that is pedestrian only and it’s directly behind the opera house. Chez Jules is a great restaurant on Rue de L’ Ecuyer that can be seen from the front of the hotel. Don’t bother with Ricotta and Parmesan restaurant next to Chez Jules. Our favorite place to eat is Maison du Cerf on the Grand Place next to Godiva. The hotel staff is very friendly. The room interiors are clean and well appointed but they will need a slight refresh soon. Nothing deterring, but I was surprised to find some peeling wallpaper on our last visit, and one of the stair treads popped off, but nothing beyond regular wear and tear that one regularly finds in every other hotel, and did not change and otherwise comfortable and clean room. Only the executive loft rooms have stairs in them, so easy to avoid. Neither would prevent me from returning and I plan to stay again. It’s a beautiful, clean, reliable boutique hotel with a very friendly and attentive staff and a luxurious atmosphere. The best hotel for walking access to shopping, the Grand Place, Brussels Central train station, the Brussels metro/underground/tram stations, multiple nearby SAFE parking lots, and the Sablon antiques district. Super easy to get to by train to and from the airport. I always stay at The Dominican and always will!

When I accidentally left my passport and wallet in the room’s safe, the staff acted quickly and expeditiously in getting it to my next destination (even called my next hotel to tell them the post was coming without me having to request so). Friendly, helpful and EXCELLENT staff!! The bar and restaurant are both beautiful and wonderful. All of the amenities are thoughtful, playful and plentiful. The room and area are gorgeous, definitely recommend a stay at The Dominican! Shoe buffer/shine machines on each floor landing are a “hidden” treasure!

Overall - it delivered barring one thing. Central. Good bar. Good restaurant. Comfortable bed and room. The biggest let down is the gym! Do not book the hotel if a good gym is part of your traveling needs

La habitacion grande y confortable, solo falto un poco el tema de la limpieza, las tasas de cafe durante nuestra estancia nuncalas cambiaron y la tetera estaba sucia, tambien considero que el servibar deberia contar con productos para el consumo. El gym muy basico, el servicio en general muy bien. La ubicacion es excelente.

I stayed in room 214 there was thick dust on the skirting boards near the window. They had no butter for toast at breakfast on our second morning which was dissapointing. Lady on breakfast checking in was a little abrupt on the first morning but was better on the second morning. Overall enjoyed my stay.

We rented 2 rooms for 4 nights. Housekeeping didnt show up on one of the days. Had to call multiple times just to get fresh towels. Next day, they did show up but left the room smelling of sewage. Had to make many calls and trips to front desk just to have housekeeping come back and spray deodorant in the room. Both our rooms had mildew in showers, toilets and on showerhead, which was not addressed during our stay despite our complaint on the first day.

Excellent location & clean hotel.

There were several large chips in the bath. I changed room and when my colleague checked in he was given the cracked bath. The breakfast was also of very low quality.

At first glance hotel seems nice... but unfortunately our stay of 2 nights... the first room was not clean... there was an actual face cloth sitting on the desk when we got in...I took it as cleaner just left it by accident but i still used my own Wipes to ensure clean but after a bit of time i noticed filth on the upholstery of the chairs and bed... the washroom also smelled of urine... the last straw was when we came back to room it smelled of dirty shoes...needless to say i asked for a different room and they did upgrade us to a much nicer room which was clean.... but then we had noisy neighbors but that is not the hotels fault but maybe needs better room sound insulation....

This was an OK property that with a little attention could be great. The lobby and bar and dining are great. The front desk staff is wonderful - but then you get to the room. Carpet is tired and dirty looking. There was quite a bit of mold and mildew around tub fixtures and tile. The maid was very ambivalent about fully restocking the room each day. We staid 4 nights. While there, we were lucky to get the room refreshed by 3 or 4. The day we checked out she was hovering in the hallway by 9. For the price - the room was fine but definitely not up to luxury standards.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit angenehmer Atmosphäre und freundlichem und zuvorkommendem Personal. Tolle Bar mit qualitativ hochwertigen Cocktails. Frühstück bietet alles man braucht und einiges mehr. Wir waren sowohl über das Angebot als auch die Qualität begeistert. Wir hatten von Freitag bis Sonntag ein Executive-Loft in der 2. Etage gebucht. Generell hat uns das Zimmer gut gefallen. Kleinere Reparaturarbeiten sind dennoch notwendig. Im Bad blättert etwas die Farbe von der Decke, der Ablauf des Waschbeckens war kaputt, der Kühlschrank der Minibar hat nicht gekühlt und das Licht darin war defekt. Das sind aber alles Kleinigkeiten, welche leicht zu beheben sein sollten um die Qualität und die Atmosphäre zu halten. Was allerdings meines Erachtens ein absolutes No-Go ist, sind die beiden Verbindungstüren in die daneben liegende Suite und das danebenliegende Loft, vor allem bei solch einer Zimmerkategorie! In der Expedia Beschreibung sind die Zimmer als „schallisoliert“ ausgewiesen. Dies ist definitiv leider nicht der Fall! Sowohl die Musik, die Badezimmergeräusche und natürlich auch die Beischlaf Angewohnheiten der Nachbarn sind deutlichst zu hören. Wir waren gefühlt „mittendrin statt nur dabei“. ;-) Es hat uns zwar nicht sonderlich gestört, dennoch wäre es ein Grund, diese Zimmerkategorie nicht mehr zu buchen.

The property is nice enough but the room was very hot. Had to call desk at 3am and they brought us a fan. The guy said if cold outside the air conditioner does not cool the room. The fan was OK but lack of sleep from having to deal with poor cooling was bad experience.

Great staff, great location. My main gripe is the room temperature - even with the air con temp turned right down off it was still too hot and stuffy - i hate air con at the best of times so we switched it off, didn’t make the room temp better though!

Un tres bel hotel mais si vous y allez pour dormir passez votre chemin. Si votre chambre donne sur la rue et que c’est vendredi ou samedi impossible de dormir. Bruxelles es devenue NYC et ca hurle toute la nuit dans la rue piétonne. Dommage l’hôtel est canon ou alors il faut exiger chambre sur cour

Wall seems thin and voice of next door and upper floor was so annoyed and could not sleep at all Outside was noisy every night until 2 or 3 AM

We stayed in courtyard facing room. The room was quiet with comfortable bed. The hotel location is excellent. Will stay again .

Phenomenal hotel to stay and a staff that will go out of their way for you.

Staff wonderful with the exception of one of the bar staff who was unbelievably awful, rude, aggressive and completely ruined our stay. Not through anything we had done, she just chose to bang chairs around, kick off with her colleague and then be rude to customers. If you are wondering if it’s a one off, no, she was the same the following night. Sadly, management didn’t seem to want to tackle her behaviour and instead gave us a bottle of champagne. We didn’t want the champagne, we refused the champagne, they still gave us the champagne….. and no, we didn’t drink it. Such a shame, beautiful building, otherwise great staff and could be amazing. Rooms could be cleaner. Lots of money for an aggressively average stay.

Wonderful hotel right in the heart of Brussels. Everywhere is walkable and the hotel staff are excellent. Lovely comfortable rooms and nice bar/eating areas - 100% recommend.

Very courteous staff

The hotel was beautiful. The staff were great. The gentleman on reception, when we arrived, noticed that it was my birthday from my passport and was so kind making the stay special. We had dinner in the restaurant that night as we arrived quite late. The food and service were first class. The best birthday! We loved the hotel and Brussels.

We enjoyed our Christmas stay at The Dominican. The location was perfect, as we wanted to be able to walk about the town without undue reliance on the transportation system. Nice hotel in an historic structure, nice room. Clearly deserving its four star status. The only drawback we encountered was extremely slow service in the restaurant and bar. It appeared that the problem was a lack of staff rather than the pace of the service providers. At one point, a single person was tending the bar (for both the bar and restaurant), as well as servicing the tables. She was working at quite a pace, while remaining friendly. But to be the bartender and table server for about 10 to 12 tables was too much to ask. Perhaps the Christmas season traffic was too much for the hotel to handle and had no capability to add additional staff. Would we return to the Dominican? Probably so, given its location and physical attributes. We would just depend more on the many other choices for our dining and drinking.

Staff is exceptional.

Great location. Walking distance from the metro, which we took from the Brussels Midi train station. The staff was welcoming and the check in process was easy. We stayed in Brussels for only one night, but we were able to walk to all the things we wanted to see, including Grand Plaza. The room was quiet and spacious and breakfast had many delicious choices. Definitely recommend asking reception to call a taxi for the airport because it's a flat rate, and stress free. I highly recommend The Dominican!

Very classy hotel, grand public areas, good facilities and a great location.My wife was very impressed with the Dyson hairdryer in the room. Breakfast is pricey but luxurious and delicious in a beautiful space.

Great location and the room was very comfortable but lots of small issues added up to a less than great experience. Service and food for dinner was off, they kept telling me items were gluten free when they obviously weren’t. We did breakfast the first morning and for the price and quality of hotel, it was not to the level expected. The eggs were powdered eggs! Would not pay for the breakfast. The elevator was also broken so we had to climb stairs and the AC did not really cool the room at all. Great location and very comfortable beds but eat elsewhere.

We only stayed at the hotel for a night, but really enjoyed the space and vibe. The room was spacious, quiet and comfy. The breakfast buffet, though expensive, was excellent. I enjoyed that it was off of a major street, keeping the noise down.

A new twist on a classic home away from home. The rooms are still excellent, only the bathrooms are showing signs of decay. One day I enjoyed a hot shower from a full-flow rainfall showerhead not limited, the next there is no hot water in the entire hotel. The breakfast was cold as well. And vegetarian. No more bacon and eggs, sausages or meatballs, or some warm potatoes. One could order an omelette with ham, it took under half an hour to arrive. Yet, always a professional hotel, The Dominican offered a free glass of champagne to make up for the cold shower. The guests showed class as well by not starting to drink alcohol at 8 a.m. The front desk could be persuaded to waive the cost of the breakfast from the bill. OK, a boiler breaking down could be written off as bad luck, but I expect a hotel to have redundancy. The cold vegetarian breakfast was an unexpected cost-cutting measure unworthy of the hotel. I could buy fresher croissants, yoghurt and coffee at the nearby subway station for far less than the price at the hotel. I'm not sure I'll be returning to The Dominican. I expect continental breakfast, I expect working barhrooms, and above all I expect hot water.

Le petit-déjeuner est décevant pour un 4 étoiles: très peu de choix et pas forcément qualitatif. Quant aux chambres, elles mériteraient d'être remises au goût du jour - pas très chaleureux. Également, peut-être serait-il opportun de prévoir deux personnes à la réception et des ordinateurs qui fonctionnent, nous avons dû attendre une vingtaine de minutes avant d'être pris en charge.
