At Apple Tree there were no food options that I saw. The beds were comfortable, but the sheets kept coming off. The flooring is warped and noisy when walking on it. The TV volume was so low at 100% making it extremely hard to hear. I did not take pictures but the building need much work outside as well as inside. When we first arrived there was a 30 minute wait for someone to check us in. There were numbers to call, but NO answer to any of the numbers. When the woman did come out she was surprised that there was someone waiting to check in. This is not clean outside. I lived in Richfield for 26 years, the Apple Tree had a great reputation that is why I chose it, I am very sorry that I did.

This was the worst place most rundown place I have ever seen! From the smoke smell, dirty carpets, dirty walls, wires stick out from the light fixture, I honestly can’t even describe how terrible this place is.

It was very dirty and run down. One of the beds had dirt on the sheets. No ice machine and the hotel houses for government assistance. There was a random pitbull in the parking lot that approached us right away as we got out of our vehicle. Soon we realized that this dog was very old, but still, uncomfortable with the fact that it tried to make its way into our unit. Literally, the earliest checkout of our lives! Toilet backed up the whole time, no garbage can in the place and our feet were filthy after walking on the laminate for a couple of hours. The TV remote did not work, and neither did half of the outlets. Could not wait to get a few hours of sleep (even though we were genuinely concerned about bed bugs) and leave ASAP! I don’t believe we actually were exposed to bed buds (fingers crossed), but it’s a seriously dirty place.

I am not one to write a bad review but in this case it is needed to keep others safe. As I was checking in a man came close to the counter (whom I didn’t know-employee or not) but agent then gave me the info to my room. Unfortunately she voiced my room number as well as how to enter my room with a code. When I got to the room the door had 2 handles when only 1 was the one to get in and out while the other is just for looks. The one to get in had the code and knowing someone had that same code concerned me. When I got into the room it was clean but very outdated. Lights were not bright, tv very small, and beds did not look like the pictures. On the door with the 2 handles one was dummy lock just to pull open or closed and the other was the way to get in and out. As I was examining the door to see if I could do another side lock. No there was no slide lock or flip lock on the door. This concerned me because the only way to close the door was to push it closed and hope no one knew the code to get in. They need to work on the guest safety. Sorry this hotel reminded me of a crack hotel.

Most hotel rooms have permanent residents. People work on there cars in the parking lot all night. No locks on the doors. If they know the door code they can get in. Cats and dogs everywhere inside hotel rooms. Smelt very old. No covers on pillows stains on everything else. Blinds are from the 80s and are black. Planned on staying two nights and could left after first night. Not safe for kids. Can’t get a refund either.. find somewhere else for sure..

It was the last available place to stay during the eclipse and now we know why😂 No frills. Pretty clean but super run down and old. The bedding was thin and had stains. The plugs wouldn’t stay in the outlets. Smelled old and musty. Outside was sketch. People stomping in room above all night. Light bulbs missing in the fixtures. Etc etc.

This hotel was nothing like the pictures. For $255. I thought it would be a nice stay for my wife and I. It was run down, The bed was not made - you didn’t want to sleep on it anyway. It smelled bad. I asked for a cancellation/refund. The clerk said I had to contact Expedia. We continued driving and did not stay there. Expedia was very difficult to contact and deal with. We have a case open with Expedia. We hope for a credit on our credit card.

Room was disgusting. Smelt like urine. Laminate floor was definitely not clean, you could see where either an animal had urinated or where something was spilt. Mattress was black all around the edges. The property manager had men coming and going from her room all night long. Bathroom was so dirty, we used toilet paper to cover the seat every time we went to the bathroom. Didn’t even really feel comfortable sleeping in such a disgusting room. Didn’t feel safe leaving my car parked there over night. Watched drug deals go down all through the night. Nasty. Wouldn’t even recommend it to my worst enemy

i have been staying in hotels and motel while travelling for 7 years. And this was the worst experience. Nobody when i went to check in. there was numbers on the door to call but no one recieves. Half an hour later someone comes but sends us to a room where there is already people. i unlocked the door and walked in to someone in the room naked. Horrible! then we get assigned to another room which has dirty bedsheets and cigarette burns on the pillow. The room pictures doesnt match and i wont go to details to the amenities lol. yes i have stayed in cheap places to just sleep for the night and go to hiking. but you cant stay here

i’ve never seen anything quite like this. It was extremely dirty. Holes in the blinds, dirty, carpets, dirty towels, dirty toilet, dirty shower, ripped bed linens.. the list goes on. Bed were hard- I did not feel safe here nor did I want to touch anything.

We where in hotel for 20 min then checked out my kids where complaining about getting bites. So we loaded up and drove rest the way home. I have never had that happen to me before.

This place was awful. There was animal feces or dead food ground into the carpet (couldn't tell which but didn't want to get too close), spiders and insects everywhere (not just one or two, there were dozens), holes in the blinds and window coverings, holes in the walls, no fridge or microwave, and my child for stabbed by a fish hook that was stuck in the blanket. By far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I'm glad I was only there for one night.

Front desk was closed, phone out of service. I knocked in one of the rooms to ask one of the guests where to get a key. Room was not clean, blankets had holes, towels were dirty, we couldn’t find another place to rest.

The first room we were given smelled of smoke and uncleanliness. We changed rooms and it smelled of weed and cigarettes. The shower water would not get hot. There were stains everywhere and the white toilet seat was so worn it was black in places. There were holes in the wall and one of the towels we were given was still damp and stained. There were a lot of seedy people hanging out by our room the whole night. I would not recommend staying here.

The room was filthy. It had a bad smell. The floor was sticky to our shoes the water ran in the shower tub non stop. There were so many flies we felt like we were there meal. We only stayed 1 hour and left. The was whole new meaning to flea bag motel. The worst place I have ever stayed. I would have never used the tub/shower stained black. Would never recommend

Considering this place was almost 1/3 the price of everywhere else we saw available at the last minute, we kind of expected worse. But we just needed a place to crash due to horrible construction delays preventing us from reaching out destination before night-blindbess set in, and it ended up being totally fine. Nice digital keypad locks, and it worked out great for us that we had a king bed plus a full bed in a separate attached bedroom, both with ceiling fans. The mattresses weren't very comfy but I don't really sleep well except on my memory foam at home anyway. And although the bathroom was a little worn down, it was very clean. We did check for bed bugs and other pests but found nothing. The furnishings and bedding were definitely bare bones, but we had brought some pillows and blankets anyway. There was a mini fridge, microwave and TV, which we didn't end up using, and the Wifi and AC worked (and even provided some appreciated white noise from the busy street nearby). We managed to clock a full 8 hrs of rest before hitting the road again. Tina who checked us in at midnight (sorry, Tina!) was VERY nice and I didn't think all of the bad reviews we saw were really accounting for the great price so we wanted to make sure and post our experience.

There was no staff at the front desk when I arrived. I could every conversation from the next room through the door. The floors were dirty. The beds were hard as a rock. The TV was small like a computer monitor and I had to play with it for 15 minutes to get any programs. Continental breakfast - hardly anything worth eating unless you like sugar food.

I am not one to write a bad review but in this case it is needed to keep others safe. As I was checking in a man came close to the counter (whom I didn’t know-employee or not) but agent then gave me the info to my room. Unfortunately she voiced my room number as well as how to enter my room with a code. When I got to the room the door had 2 handles when only 1 was the one to get in and out while the other is just for looks. The one to get in had the code and knowing someone had that same code concerned me. When I got into the room it was clean but very outdated. Lights were not bright, tv very small, and beds did not look like the pictures. On the door with the 2 handles one was dummy lock just to pull open or closed and the other was the way to get in and out. As I was examining the door to see if I could do another side lock. No there was no slide lock or flip lock on the door. This concerned me because the only way to close the door was to push it closed and hope no one knew the code to get in. They need to work on the guest safety. Sorry this hotel reminded me of a crack hotel.

The room was dirty and in terrible repair. The light switch in the bathroom was rigged to stay on but it didn’t work, the toilet wasn’t attached to the floor and moved around and didn’t flush well. Overall a terrible stay

Check in was about 40 minutes. Door code didn’t work. Room had that old musty/cigarette smell. One towel Beds are older than my grandma. Ceiling fan was about to fall off. Air conditioner didn’t work. Toilet ran all night from leaking. Needless to say this place Was not good in any way.

It was the last available place to stay during the eclipse and now we know why😂 No frills. Pretty clean but super run down and old. The bedding was thin and had stains. The plugs wouldn’t stay in the outlets. Smelled old and musty. Outside was sketch. People stomping in room above all night. Light bulbs missing in the fixtures. Etc etc.

I waited for at least 15 minutes in the office for someone to check me in. The owner/manager couldn't be found. No Internet, most of the channels on the TV weren't subscribed for. The sheets had actual holes in them. Only one bath towel,no wash cloths,no hand towels. The rest of the staff seemed nice but the property needs serious work. Way too expensive for what you get.

At Apple Tree there were no food options that I saw. The beds were comfortable, but the sheets kept coming off. The flooring is warped and noisy when walking on it. The TV volume was so low at 100% making it extremely hard to hear. I did not take pictures but the building need much work outside as well as inside. When we first arrived there was a 30 minute wait for someone to check us in. There were numbers to call, but NO answer to any of the numbers. When the woman did come out she was surprised that there was someone waiting to check in. This is not clean outside. I lived in Richfield for 26 years, the Apple Tree had a great reputation that is why I chose it, I am very sorry that I did.

Literally the only hotel in the southern half of Utah with availability due to the eclipse occurring the next morning. Drove an hour out of the way but needed somewhere to sleep. Looked sketchy outside when we arrived, the lobby had strange decor but it appeared clean. Checked in and received a hand written paper with our room number and a code. The code is the key to open the room door. Hauled all of our stuff up the rusty stairs and opened our room door to find people already using the room. Fortunately, they were very kind and understanding. After sincere apologies we received an empty room. The deadbolt didn’t work and the chain lock was missing the chain so we felt unsecured. It appeared our room was subject to a previous flood as there were water marks and mold up over the baseboards. The box springs under the mattresses were exposed and looked like they were drug in from an abandoned field. Holes were punched in the walls and bathroom door. Cigarette ash was floating in the toilet. Two stained hand towels were the only towels available. Hair dryer was ripped off the wall and missing. Everything was filthy. Sketchy people wandering around the parking lot. It appears it’s probably a rent by the hour motel.

i have been staying in hotels and motel while travelling for 7 years. And this was the worst experience. Nobody when i went to check in. there was numbers on the door to call but no one recieves. Half an hour later someone comes but sends us to a room where there is already people. i unlocked the door and walked in to someone in the room naked. Horrible! then we get assigned to another room which has dirty bedsheets and cigarette burns on the pillow. The room pictures doesnt match and i wont go to details to the amenities lol. yes i have stayed in cheap places to just sleep for the night and go to hiking. but you cant stay here

Front desk closed early, we had to wait for someone to open the office to do the check in. Poor service from the staff. There’s no front desk service in the morning also. No breakfast. No hot or warm water in shower. Imaging that during winter time.😒

Arrived at the motel, no one at the front desk. Sign said to call these numbers, both phone laying on counters. Finally got to room. Room decent no complaints. Tried to check out only to discover office didn’t open until 9 AM. Had to call again

Considering this place was almost 1/3 the price of everywhere else we saw available at the last minute, we kind of expected worse. But we just needed a place to crash due to horrible construction delays preventing us from reaching out destination before night-blindbess set in, and it ended up being totally fine. Nice digital keypad locks, and it worked out great for us that we had a king bed plus a full bed in a separate attached bedroom, both with ceiling fans. The mattresses weren't very comfy but I don't really sleep well except on my memory foam at home anyway. And although the bathroom was a little worn down, it was very clean. We did check for bed bugs and other pests but found nothing. The furnishings and bedding were definitely bare bones, but we had brought some pillows and blankets anyway. There was a mini fridge, microwave and TV, which we didn't end up using, and the Wifi and AC worked (and even provided some appreciated white noise from the busy street nearby). We managed to clock a full 8 hrs of rest before hitting the road again. Tina who checked us in at midnight (sorry, Tina!) was VERY nice and I didn't think all of the bad reviews we saw were really accounting for the great price so we wanted to make sure and post our experience.

Dirty , the room smelled like an ashtray and there are several people wandering around that are making me scared. I think i will just leave and go sleep in my car somewhere i will feel safer. Also the whole place is in verybad shape.

We drove into the parking lot of the property and there were a few people outside that made my wife uneasy. One looked like he had a collection of belongings near him as he was using an electric grinder to cut metal. We drove away and we were unable to get a refund. They said that only two rooms were available, but most of the parking lot was empty, with the exception of the visitors we saw tinkering away out front.

I showed up at 2 am to get my room with my daughter . Called all 3 numbers listed on the door. No answer. I started to drive and got a call back from a lady that was sleeping. I had already drove 20 minutes. Was not going to turn around. Besides there was a couple scary looking guy’s hanging out in the parking lot

Most hotel rooms have permanent residents. People work on there cars in the parking lot all night. No locks on the doors. If they know the door code they can get in. Cats and dogs everywhere inside hotel rooms. Smelt very old. No covers on pillows stains on everything else. Blinds are from the 80s and are black. Planned on staying two nights and could left after first night. Not safe for kids. Can’t get a refund either.. find somewhere else for sure..

The first room we were given smelled of smoke and uncleanliness. We changed rooms and it smelled of weed and cigarettes. The shower water would not get hot. There were stains everywhere and the white toilet seat was so worn it was black in places. There were holes in the wall and one of the towels we were given was still damp and stained. There were a lot of seedy people hanging out by our room the whole night. I would not recommend staying here.

Located in the middle of Richfield Utah The Apple Tree Inn is ideally placed for a comfortable and quiet night sleep in close proximity to a grocery store a convenience store and several other local businesses. With very reasonably priced rooms with air conditioning and Wi-Fi and television this is an excellent choice for anyone traveling through town or planning to stay in the area and see the sights for a while. The rooms were clean simply furnished and the bedding was also clean there were no bugs in the room nor were their bed bugs. The staff are exceptionally friendly professional and willing to help.

There were bugs crawling all over in the bath room, I videoed the bugs. Room lock was unsafe, befd very old and uncomfortable. No breakfast served, and cup of coffee offered "after" 9:00. Esperienza negativa, abbiamo prenotato questa struttura per un determinato giorno da casa(in Italia) una volta che siamo arrivati in America per svariati motivi abbiamo fatto ritardo e siamo arrivati in struttura un giorno dopo. Abbiamo spiegato la situazione alla signora della reception e lei ci ha detto che loro non potevano darci la stanza che avevamo prenotato il giorno prima senza farci pagare niente. Abbiamo dovuto pagare un’altra stanza per dormire quella notte, ma la proprietaria ci aveva espressamente detto che ci avrebbe rimborsato la stanza che avevamo prenotato ma che non abbiamo utilizzato. Oltretutto nella stanza c’erano anche tutti gli asciugamani sporchi.

It was in terrible condition.The bottom of my feet were black from going barefoot inside our room. The towel bar in the bathroom fell off the wall when I removed a towel. The TV box was bad. The staff originally said we didn't have a reservation but then found it. A window was cracked and held together with tape. We asked for maid service which was done. The bed was left without the bedspread. The staff was very helpful with all of the issues.
It was in terrible condition.The bottom of my feet were black from going barefoot inside our room. The towel bar in the bathroom fell off the wall when I removed a towel. The TV box was bad. The staff originally said we didn't have a reservation but then found it. A window was cracked and held together with tape. We asked for maid service which was done. The bed was left without the bedspread. The staff was very helpful with all of the issues.

This should be taken off of hotels.com. Don't stay here. It's horrible. We read the reviews and risked it...its not worth the price of admission. Stay away.

The room was absolutely disgusting. The grossest room I have ever entered. Toilet didn't work. Bathtub was filthy. Hair everywhere. Bed Spread tattered. Chairs disheveled.

We didn't even stay. Burned the money we spent. They charged us twice. Couldn't get nobody at the front desk when we wanted to check in. When we did they were not a comfortable staff. Will never ever recommend!! The environment was not a comfortable place! My wife and daughter wouldn't even think about staying there!!
