There were no lights in parking lot at night. No signs for street or name of property. Requested a 2 queen bed non smoking and initially given. 1 king bed smoking room but went back to desk and they "found the room I requested.

Property was being renovated. Lots of rooms closed. Pool not usable. Room smelled like smoke had to keep the window open without a screen throughout the stay. Room was sold at bear minimum. $30 a night would be asking too much and I spent $80+. Hopefully property will be brought up to acceptable standards but for now not worth the price.

We didn’t even go inside. Sheets were on the windows, and the place was obviously under reconstruction and new management, but work hadn’t been completed.

This hotel is under new ownership and undergoing renovations. The outside has clearly not been updated, we were concerned when we arrived. Our room has new paint and beds, minimal cheap furniture, and the bathroom furnishings are mid-upgrade. It was good enough for a one night stop and has potential. The room was clean, which is our priority.

facility is terrible! Rooms old, worn, filthy, smoky to include weed, and unsafe! NO services (hangers, laundry, iron, microwave, food,...). It seems to be a tired building that is 'attempting' to work on things but a long way to go! NOT much choice in town, but will stay outside of town in future and drive 30+ mins to get in.

When I arrived at Lakewood Inn and Suites, my first impression was not good. The landscaping was overrun with weeds, the signage was faded and outdated from a previous business, and the building had mismatched paint patches. Several windows didn’t have any coverings. I was also the only car in the parking lot. A casually dressed woman was standing outside speaking to someone in a van, which felt unusual for a hotel arrival. Inside, the front desk clerk—who was polite and welcoming—checked me in and walked me to my room. Unfortunately, the room was in poor condition. There were visible dirt marks on the walls, the curtain was partially detached from the rod, the thermostat was dirty, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor from the carpet. I immediately contacted Expedia to request a refund, which the owner approved. When I returned the keys, the woman I had seen outside was now at the front desk. She offered to move me to a room with updated furniture, carpet, fixtures, and paint. It left me wondering why that wasn’t offered in the first place. This was recently purchased by a new owner. If you need a clean room with good A/C, a comfy bed, good shower and toilet at a great price then this is your place. If you’re looking for the Ritz this is not your place. Room had a frig but no microwave and some things are a bit dated. But it was clean, bug free and comfy. There was a microwave downstairs that you could use. All and all we were happy and it served the purpose.

Based off of previous reviews I had no idea what to expect. We had a great stay! Bed was comfortable and room was clean. We appreciate it being a dog friendly hotel and not having to pay insane dog fees. The place is currently under renovation. Employees were all very nice. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend. Can't beat the price!

The staff I encountered was not friendly at all and was a little creepy for a late night check-in. The garbage in the room had not been emptied and was full. There was a crumpled wash cloth on the counter by the sink, there was hair in the bathroom, there was a GIANT crack in the bottom of the tub that was letting water drain out of the tub and was a cut hazard for bare feet.

This hotel was the only game in town so it had to work for many family members in town for a wedding. Quite a few people had problems with their keycards not working. Rooms were small but fairly clean. No insulation resulted in us hearing other guests throughout the night.

Patrons above my room arguing each night of my stay, kids running up and down hallway knocking on doors and running away. Manager was very nonchalant and not helpful for the most part. I paid good money for my jetted tub room to spend Valentine's Day with my wife and neither of us could enjoy it. I actually checked out earlier than planned due to all of the craziness upstairs and in hallway. I even asked for a refund this morning because I am not satisfied with my stay or things that transpired during my stay. One good thing is the housekeeper I think her name is shanay or something like that made sure my room was clean and amenities were available for me. I can't and won't recommend this hotel ever and again I do want a refund. I spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday night listening to fighting and kids all night long,

A welcoming smile after a long day and a late check-in. Very helpful with local dining options. I will come back if the opportunity arises. A comfy bed with the basics ie Fridge and microwave .

I would like at least a partial refund! I should never have been offered lodging that is under construction. The latch on the door was falling off and there was no hot water in the shower. The staff member said someone else complained but maybe I didn’t turn it on right. INSULTING!

Front desk receptionist was very nice. The keys would not open the exterior door we were told to go through to get to the room. Once in the hallway the overwhelming smell of fresh marijuana was everywhere. The bedding was clean but the room looked like it had been robbed. There were holes in the walls where photos had been before, we turned the AC unit on and the musty smell that came out was pretty bad. The hotel sign said newly renovated, but I think they still have a VERY long way to go. We opted to not sleep there and ate the cost of the room and left after 15 minutes in the facility.

We did not know the property just changed hands a few weeks ago. Here for a near by wedding. We were just at about the only ones there. No free breakfast. Front desk women was nice. Almost charged twice for rooms. I had paid on Expedia and she was going to charge my son and I again. She did clear it up after speaking to her manager.The beds and bedding were nice.

I paid good money for my jetted tub room to spend Valentine's Day with my wife and neither of us could enjoy it. I actually checked out earlier than planned due to all of the craziness upstairs and in hallway. I even asked for a refund this morning because I am not satisfied with my stay or things that transpired during my stay. One good thing is the housekeeper I think her name is shanay or something like that made sure my room was clean and amenities were available for me. I can't and won't recommend this hotel ever and again I do want a refund. I spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday night listening to fighting and kids all night long,

There were no lights in parking lot at night. No signs for street or name of property. Requested a 2 queen bed non smoking and initially given. 1 king bed smoking room but went back to desk and they "found the room I requested.

This hotel was the only game in town so it had to work for many family members in town for a wedding. Quite a few people had problems with their keycards not working. Rooms were small but fairly clean. No insulation resulted in us hearing other guests throughout the night.

We didn’t even go inside. Sheets were on the windows, and the place was obviously under reconstruction and new management, but work hadn’t been completed.

This hotel is under new ownership and undergoing renovations. The outside has clearly not been updated, we were concerned when we arrived. Our room has new paint and beds, minimal cheap furniture, and the bathroom furnishings are mid-upgrade. It was good enough for a one night stop and has potential. The room was clean, which is our priority.

facility is terrible! Rooms old, worn, filthy, smoky to include weed, and unsafe! NO services (hangers, laundry, iron, microwave, food,...). It seems to be a tired building that is 'attempting' to work on things but a long way to go! NOT much choice in town, but will stay outside of town in future and drive 30+ mins to get in.

When I arrived at Lakewood Inn and Suites, my first impression was not good. The landscaping was overrun with weeds, the signage was faded and outdated from a previous business, and the building had mismatched paint patches. Several windows didn’t have any coverings. I was also the only car in the parking lot. A casually dressed woman was standing outside speaking to someone in a van, which felt unusual for a hotel arrival. Inside, the front desk clerk—who was polite and welcoming—checked me in and walked me to my room. Unfortunately, the room was in poor condition. There were visible dirt marks on the walls, the curtain was partially detached from the rod, the thermostat was dirty, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor from the carpet. I immediately contacted Expedia to request a refund, which the owner approved. When I returned the keys, the woman I had seen outside was now at the front desk. She offered to move me to a room with updated furniture, carpet, fixtures, and paint. It left me wondering why that wasn’t offered in the first place. While I understand the property is under new management, the state of the room I was given made me uncomfortable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying here.

We did not know the property just changed hands a few weeks ago. Here for a near by wedding. We were just at about the only ones there. No free breakfast. Front desk women was nice. Almost charged twice for rooms. I had paid on Expedia and she was going to charge my son and I again. She did clear it up after speaking to her manager.The beds and bedding were nice.

The rooms were filthy. Hair and dirt were in the tubs and corners of the bathroom. The toilet ring was etched badly. There was half a roll of toilet paper and no refills. Dust was on every surface. The resident next to us was smoking marijuana until 3am and the smoke alarm batteries started to die in the night so it was beeping loudly. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to a homeless person.

The lock on the room was broken and when we asked to change rooms they said they were sold out, but that night there was less than 20 cars in the parking lot. Our door (126) looked like someone to an axe to it to try to get in. We asked for extra pillows because we were given three and had three people but told they didn't have any. Whenever we went to the desk, no one was there and had to call a cell phone to talk to anyone. The stairwell smelled like weed really bad. The entire hotel was not kept up, holes in the walls, paint chips, just really ran down.
