Hotel Lapad

A lovely hotel near the water. It's a 20-minute walk to restaurants northwest of the hotel, where you can get great food. There's a pool, too.

The Hotel Lapad was lovely. The staff was great at check in, however I did have to ask for my VIP perk the next day (bottle of wine.) The pool area is beautiful, but they put the loungers away at 7pm. Also, if you want a lounger (sun bed), get to the pool early since there aren’t enough considering the size of the hotel. The hotel is in a lovely area, but it is a €20 taxi ride (one way) to the old town. Parking is very convenient, with a gated lot next to the hotel. The breakfast buffet is large and has many options. They do have complimentary sparking wine, so you can make your own Bellinis Overall a great stay

Liked the location. Breakfast was great. Lots of selections such as eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit, coffee and even sparkling wine:) pool looked nice but didn’t end up going and live music each night. Parking on location which I liked and always a spot. Close to port for boat trips

Great experience and a lovely breakfast spread. Professional staff. Got a massage at the inhouse spa and it was wonderful. Across the street from the inlet to the port, lots of walkable restaurants.

The property in general is nice and in a good location. Once again I never received any VIP benefits. Finding your room is difficult as the rear building (which is not shown in any pictures) is a rabbit warren. The restaurant and bar/pool areas are very nice.

The staff were very friendly and my room was very clean. The pool area is a bit small so I couldn’t get a chair unless I went first thing in the morning. They had live music performed by the pool several nights a week and I loved it (Trio Gravosa was really good!)

Fabulous accommodation away from Old Town. Grand century old building with lovely pool area including bar / lounge. Great breakfast buffet with many choices & staff very hospitable & friendly. Only downside was harbour promenade construction works outside which is not fault of hotel

Great hotel - perfect stay. There is hardly anything I can think of that they could improve on. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The pool area is lovely and we never had a problem finding a sunlounger in the area of our choice i.e. sun or shade. The staff at reception were super helpful and friendly.

I thought it was just my room that was dirty with dirty glasses and linens but then it turns out my daughter’s room was even less clean. This property is in a great area but absolutely needs an overhaul and better management

Lovely property away from the busy town centre. Bus stop short walk away (Studenac market - Nikole Tesle) Area around is beautiful with a few restaurants nearby to eat at. Would recommend an upgrade of a balcony and the rooms can be a little dark. Breakfast was good also, good options. Had to ask a few times for my free wine to be delivered to my room but it eventually was sent.

Getting to the room was literally complex. By elevator it took going to the fírst floor, exit, walk 60m and get into another elevator to reach the actual floor to then look for the room

Lovely hotel in a lovely location. Food and service were very good. Only annoyances were the shower pressure was low, wifi signal was poor and pool was very cold! But these are relatively minor issues.

Really nice property with outdoor pool located just outside city limits on the marina. Well situated for walking into city or uber to old town. Drogan was a pleasure and very helpful. Reasonably priced. The only odd thing was that there are two towers and we had to work through 3 elevators to get to our balcony room which was disappointing but not an epic issue. Overall I would go back

The room is clean and cozy. Perfect for us (2 adults 2 kids). The location is quite good too. Few minutes taxi to old town. The only complain I had was that the water is too slow.

The room in the front section was very nice . Double sinks and high ceiling made the room feel very spacious. The Manager was great ! The buffet breakfast had multiple choices of hot and cold and fabulous fresh fruit .

Plenty of choice at breakfast, gorgeous pool area. Nightly entertainment around the pool or outside on the terrace. Rooms are a little dated but comfortable and clean. Lovely view over the harbour from our room. Beautiful location opposite the harbour with several restaurants all along the front with flat walking from the hotel. Male staff were friendly. Female staff were rude :-( Still, I would happily stay here again!

The best part about Hotel Lapad is the staff- specifically Goran at the front desk who went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The hotel is perfectly located, and staff gave us great recommendations for going to see the Old Town. I had forgotten my things at our last hotel on Lopud and Goran went above and beyond to help me get my belongings back, thank you a million times Goran! I highly highly recommend staying at hotel Lapad.

Fabulous hotel, great location with short walk access to bus stops direct to the old town. The buses are frequent and always on time but can get quite busy. Staff at the hotel were lovely and accommodating. Food at the hotel was very good. Overall, a fantastic hotel in a great location.

We stayed at 6 different hotels during our trip to Croatia and this was the last stop. Compared to the other phenomenal properties we stayed at, Hotel Lapad was disappointing. It’s located quite far from Dubrovnik Old Town. The nice thing is the parking is easy and discounted for hotel guests. But the staff was very unhelpful when we asked for options on how to get to Old Town. They were unfriendly and unwelcoming compared to the wonderful hospitality we experienced elsewhere in Croatia. No one seemed happy to be working there. The hotel itself is clean and well kept, but the rooms look dated.

Some of the staff at the reception desk were not exactly hospitable to some members of our party. 2 couples of our group booked rooms months in advance and one couple booked later. The couple that booked late received an upgrade to a suite. We received a bottle of wine and the others did not. One of the couples received no extra perks and when they inquired about it-one of the receptionist was rude in answering.

Hotel Lapad offered a lovely, elegant setting and fabulous service. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Loved our stay here. Hotel and facilities are great and the staff are outstanding the customer service can not be faulted. Staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is stress free and as enjoyable as possible. Currently the area directly outside has road works but they can be easily avoided by using a different entrance/exit in the hotel. staff at the hotel will also drive you through the construction area if you ask them. Location is about 10 min bus journey from old town, bus stop is five min walk from hotel and easy to find. Local area is scenic with lots of restaurants, beach, promenade and harbour Would happily stay here again.

Staff is extremely unwelcoming and rude. We were absolutely shocked.

My stay in October 2024 was very good. I likely would stay here again. The breakfast was good and there were restaurants nearby. But, it did require a bus or Uber into the old town. It was not walkable. Also, the hotel seemed a little tired, in need of some updating. The rooms were clean, but not spotless. Also, the staff, though professional, were not particularly friendly. When asked a question, it seemed their goal was to get rid of me.... rather than to be friendly and conversational.

Beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Dubrovnik, walkable to the old town but a long walk. Probably 45 minutes enjoying the amazing views of the ocean and rocky beaches above. The grounds are lovely, amazing pool area, nice breakfast. It’s in front of the marina and bus stop right across the hotel. By bus 10 minutes to the old town

The area outside of the hotel is under construction and has been for 2 years. We are informed another year of construction is ahead. It is poorly lit at night and the road is rubble. There are large holes along the way. Taxis etc have trouble with access. We ordered an Uber, after waiting 15 minutes it got cancelled as they could not reach us so we hd to walk to the end of the road and order again. Making us worried we would miss a trip. We were not fully informed of this before we went. When it is finished I’m sure it will be beautiful. The hotel is clean and the rooms cleaned every day, chambermaids are friendly. Staff in the restaurant, reception, at the bar etc barely want to acknowledge you, almost a little unfriendly at times! The evening entertainment put on by the hotel is good, live music. The pool area is quiet (apart from the sound of the construction at times) and there were always adequate sun loungers and umbrellas. The breakfast is varied and plenty of it.

This was a beautiful property in the Lapad area of Dubrovnik. Note, though, that that means it’s a 20-minute bus ride from the old town. Busses are frequent (every 10 mins), though, drop off very close to the hotel, but pick up about 10 minutes walk away, which may not suit travellers with mobility issues. The property had a nice pool, restaurant and bar, and service and breakfast were excellent. There was poolside entertainment some evenings, and pool rules meant it was possible to get a lounger during the days, if required. Note, though, this was very much an ‘in town’ hotel, The bar and restaurant had views of the pool, and the pool, therefore, was just encircled by a wall and the hotel’s buildings. It was nice enough, though. Some rooms would have had harbour views, but the majority of communal areas did not. Our room was clean, and had everything we could require. Note, though, that it was in a modern extension to the hotel and, in our case, it was three lifts and a long walk from reception. It had a small balcony and, technically, had a side-view of the harbour, but from quite some considerable distance! The most disappointing part of our stay, though, was the unlimited buffet evening meal. Options were limited and just weren’t that appetising and, while it was cheap, it just wasn’t that good. Overall, though, a good base for visiting Dubrovnik, as accommodation options in the old town itself are very limited, if not non-existent.

The hotel is in a prime location, directly opposite the Marina Frappa. The street is quiet, a few cars drive by, but it is very pedestrian friendly. There are a wide range of restaurants in the street to choose from, including the hotel itself which has an excellent buffet (morning and night). Restaurants outside range from fine dining, to gastro pub, to a top quality pizza restaurant. There is something for everyone. There are bus stops for buses to the old town around 10 to 15 minutes walk away, at the end of the road, and a pleasant stroll to Lapad Station behind the hotel. I stayed in a single room, 601, and it was modern, clean, and air conditioned. The bathroom is also modern, with overhead rain effect shower head, etc. There is also poolside entertainment at night, and plenty of options outside. Beach Bar Ponat is a pleasant 20 to 25 stroll along the waterside path, and the promenade is just next to Lapad Station bus stop, behind the hotel. All staff (front desk, dining room, bar, and room servicing) were extremely helpful, and friendly, perfect English is spoken. it is an excellent hotel, whether you want to sunbathe poolside, walk around the Lapad peninsula, or visit the Old Town (about 20 minutes bus ride away).

For the price we can't fault the hotel. A shower room after checking out and earlier check-in could be improvements. There's some great restaurants nearby, a short walk to the Sunset Beach area and a bus service into the old town.

The hotel itself was fine and staff was pleasant. However there is MAJOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION on the entire street in front of the hotel and they wait until the day before you check in to tell you that there is SOME construction. I asked neighborhood restaurant and was told this has been going on for THREE YEARS!!! the hotel should be required to disclose the information before someone books the hotel. Not cool.

Excellent hotel, with garden and harbour view from room. Pool still open late October. Fantastic breakfast, friendly staff. Car Park with plenty of spaces. Within walking distance of bus stop for Old Town. Sunset Beach also walkable. Stones throw from start point of 3 Island Boat Trip.

Great hotel. The only downside was that there was infrastructure construction around the hotel that inhibited car access. When the city finishes the construction this will be a premium location.

The hotel was lovely. I stayed in April 24 not everywhere was open locally for the season. But i did find some lovely places for eating and drinking. The hotel was a 10 min walk to the bus stop which was then a 10 min crowded bus ride to old town. Not a 10 min walk i had been advised. I was on a city break so didnt use the pool area at the hotel but it looked lovely

This was a return visit to this beautiful hotel, (a previous trip in July 2022). It is a quiet and tranquil place to be, with an excellent and varied buffet breakfast, and now offering an excellent, great value, evening dinner buffet as well. The staff are helpful and very efficient, and excursions can be booked at the front desk. Outside, the pool is great too. Would thoroughly recommend

We were looking for a place close to the beach that was more affordable than the President Hotel where we stayed in the past (Iwould highly recommend that hotel over this one if you have the money). This was about a 20 minute walk to the beach. The area around had some bars and restaurants with others about a 15 min walk away. At night they have live music by the pool. I only gave it four stars because you could never get a drink at either bar as the service was so horrible. Also, they just renovated and didn’t think through a couple of things when adding on so we had to take THREE different elevators to get to our room on the eighth floor.

Breakfast buffet was great, plenty of hot and cold options, even a little bubbly as well if you wanted. Transport options just right outside your door, buses easily accessible. Didnt have the best bedroom view, but had everything you could ask for. Great stay

Great place to stay. Uber will take you to Old Town, the breakfast is amazing, mimosas are free, and it has anything you might want to eat. Pool is fantastic, it has outdoor shower and facilities to change if you are on a later flight.

We loved our stay at the hotel. Despite not being half board, we added dinner one night however the choice wasn’t what we expected and the food wasn’t hot. All in we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff were more than welcoming. We would stay again.

This hotel is very good, staff were great and very helpful. being a brit I like a full English breakfast and the hotel tried but it wasn't quite up to scratch, lots of other options available that are delicious. close to lots of restaurants, shops and bars. bus to the old town is 1.99eu so i shall give this hotel a solid 9.9/10
