Stay was nice and room was spacious. Staff was also very friendly. Only complaint was how uncomfortable the bed / pillows were. Outside of that, everything else was great.

I would definitely not recommend this hotel. Check-in was horrible. The receptionist was very unhelpful and basically just took our credit card. We got no information about the hotel or the Wi-Fi, and weren’t even told where the elevator was. That set the tone for the whole stay: the front desk staff didn’t seem to care at all and were usually on their phones. The area is very loud, and the hotel has several bars inside that are open to the public. There’s no restriction on who can walk in off the street and reach any floor, which felt very unsafe, especially in such a busy party district. The rooms don’t block out street noise at all, and that’s a real problem because the partying goes on all night. They also charge an extra daily fee. When I asked what it covered, I was told it was for the gym and the water in the room. Other employees said it was for housekeeping. Either way, it felt like a ripoff. I would never stay here again, especially given how expensive it is. I’m not sure where all the good reviews are coming from.

Location was great. Nice view. Rooms were clean. Staff were polite and friendly, (Jacqueline was particularly helpful on many occasions.) However there were various quirks that made our stay less comfortable and more complicated. It's advertised on hotels.com as a 4 star and feels more like a 3. There was a missing touch in the service and details during our stay. I had emailed several times in advance of our booking to request neighbouring rooms, no one responded and when we arrived we were told a day later that this wasn't possible without one of our rooms being downgraded. The lack of physical room key made our check in more difficult, as it wasn't working and on several occasions left us locked out of our rooms. There are no phones in our rooms so we'd have to go down to the front desk or pay international charges to call from our personal phones if we had enquiries for even simplest things like slippers. When checking out for a night flight there were no proper shower or changing facilities. I believe the fitness room shower was out of use, but no alternative options were provided, which is customary for a 4* location. Overall our stay was fine, but not great and we were a little disappointed.

Took a solo trip to NYC and could not recommend this hotel enough! It's in the perfect spot, walking distance to SoHo, all of the Lower East Side, and not far from the West Village. There's a coffee shop, restaurant, and rooftop bar all on-site. I didn't use the gym but took a look at it, it was very small but no one was in there, and it's underground so it was pretty dark. Housekeeping seems to come much later in the day than I'm used to, so they never ended up stopping by because I was always there. I did have to text the front desk to ask them to come while I was gone, which they responded to quickly and when I got back, everything was clean.
