The Royal Metropolitan Near IGI Airport Delhi

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The check-in experience was terrible. Despite having a fully prepaid booking, our room was not ready upon arrival, and we had to wait nearly 30 minutes before we could even begin the check-in process. To make matters worse, we then spent another hour trying to prove that the booking had already been paid for. Even after providing the necessary information, the property manager repeatedly kept asking us for payment, causing unnecessary stress and frustration. When we finally entered the room, the problems only continued. There was a strong dead rat smell throughout the room, making it very unpleasant to stay in. We immediately reported this to the staff, but they showed little interest in helping or resolving the issue. The toilet was already broken when we checked in, the bed linen was visibly dirty, and no towels had been provided in the room. These are basic standards that any guest should be able to expect, yet they were completely overlooked. Unfortunately, there were several other issues during our stay, but listing them all would make this review even longer. Based on our experience, this property fell well below acceptable hospitality standards. Poor cleanliness, lack of maintenance, unhelpful staff, and an unnecessarily difficult check-in process made this one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. We would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.
