I routinely drive to Palm Harbor and decided to try a new hotel and stay here. The positives = Location, car charger and that it is very new hotel. Cons = 1. Rude management / we drove three hours and plugged into car charger - headed to room to take a nap while car charged before heading to family get together for mother's day. Acknowledged by inconvenienced receptionist G. R. and told check in was 3pm. We asked what time it was and we were told 2:27 PM. Note = it was Sunday and hotel was empty. We sat on couch in lobby and waited without complaining staring at the wall. I figured house keeping was cleaning, even though it was dead quiet. At 2:55 G.R. said room is ready. Unbeknownst to us our room was the door we stared at for the last thirty minutes without anyone entering. It was ready the whole time and they made us sit for nothing. I figured the employee may be new so we were pleasant and went in for nap. The next morning at check out the manager was at desk and I inquired if it was normal to not be able to check in a few minutes if early, she had the same demeanor and stated if they did it for one they would need to for everyone. They have a strict policy of no checking in even a few minutes early. And that even though it looks empty the other side is full of baseball players. Either way it made no sense and we felt like an inconvenience not one person checked in or out while we stared at wall.
