Beautiful little hotel tucked in the peninsula region of Lyon. Super close to bridge to Old Town Lyon, a walkable trip in 10 minutes. Just blocks from all the high end and local shops, as well as Michelin star restaurants. Building has an elevator so no hauling suitcases upstairs. Friendly and helpful desk staff. Would stay here again!

The front desk staff were very welcoming. The rooms were good size, modern and the AC worked well on days that approached 100F. The location can't be beat, on a quiet street, and within walking distance of old town and many restaurants.

Right across from Theatre, in the midst of high end ahopping and easy access to everything. Parking across the atreet underground is safe and reasonable. Staff very helpful in restaurant area suggestions. Typical Parisian style room with smaller space but the location is ideal.

The property is solid, clean, well run with a very good breakfast serving products from local merchants (jams, bakery items, charcuterie, fromage, etc.) The breakfast room staff is stellar, fast and efficient. The front desk staff is both friendly and efficient. There is always someone on the desk and you are buzzed into the front entry. There is a lift! The rooms vary in size but ours was fairly spacious for 2 people. There was a separate W.C.and a double sink in the bathroom (lovely!) It had both good air conditioning and double paned windows. This kept the room quiet and insulated from both the warm weather and any noise from the Place Celestin right across the street. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Lyon!

I only have one negative comment. The hotel provides a key with a heavy metal object to carry around while in the hotel. You must give it to the hotel reception before you leave the hotel. The front door is always locked and you have to buzz the bell to be let in, then you have to ask reception for your room key each time they buzz you in. This is an annoying procedure, I like the freedom to come and go without reporting to the front desk each time I come and go. For this reason, I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. It was good in all other aspects though I stayed for 11 nights, and didn't like this. Other hotels give you card which allows you to enter your hotel and room with the card, they should modernize to that system.

Joli hôtel, très bien situé. Le personnel à l'accueil est très poli, aidant. Par contre, télécommande Tv ne fonctionnait pas. J'ai demandé à minuit au veilleur qui m'a changé les piles (il n'était pas sûr d'en trouver.....). Pommeau de douche qui ne tenait pas. Lorsque que j'ai voulu le mettre à ma taille, l'ensemble m'est tombé dessus. Le sèche serviette ne fonctionnait également pas, le boîtier de contrôle ne s'allumait pas. J'imagine là aussi pile HS . Le petit déjeuné, est parfait. Petit mais répond parfaitement à notre attente. Le Monsieur qui s'occupe de nous est charmant. On se croirait dans un petit déjeuner de grand hôtel.

Positive: Despite the central location, the hotel is very quiet. Amazing to sleep. I found the beds very comfortable and the room was also big enough. I didn’t try the breakfast so I cannot say anything about it. The staff was also very nice. What I didn’t like was: I was confused about the room service. I never knew what the cleaning team would clean or replace. It all seemed random. Sometimes I would get a new towel for the floor but not a new one for my body. The protection glass in the shower was too narrow. The floor was always wet.

Spent 5 nights. The hotel rooms are very basic. However, our room was spacious for European standards and clean. The hotel was quiet. Lots of eating options in the area. Easily walkable to Old Lyon. Breakfast buffett was typical and just fine for my husband and I. They saved the day one morning with carry out coffee as we had an early train to catch. Hotel staff was friendly and helped schedule taxis and provided good advice on how long to give ourselves to catch trains and getting to the airport.

Great hotel. I don't think I've been in a better one in France. Beautifully decorated, immaculate, centrally located for easy walk within the peninsula, along the Saône River (Sunday St. Antoine Market just feet away), and the Old Lyon. The room was huge by French standards, with a walk-in area with a refrigerator and electric teapot. The beds were very comfortable with wonderful seemingly new white quilts. The bathroom had quality fixtures and a wall-to-wall shower. I hope to return to the Hotel des Artistes and will recommend it in the highest terms to everyone.

the hotel is impeccable, the location is great and the staff is very attentive and efficient. They offer a great breakfast daily at a reasonable price. Overall the place is quiet and the double windows keep any outside noise out I would recommend this hotel highly.

The receptionist thought we stole the canteen water bottle that they let us borrow during our stay. We returned it to another receptionist and told her that but she continued to ask and question us as we brought a very similar water bottle from back home and she thought it was the hotels. It was not - it’s ours and we didn’t appreciate this. Terrible.

This property was very close to vieux Lyon. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area. The room was comfortable and the hotel staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a lovely, quiet hotel conveniently located in the centre of Lyon. Ideal for visiting the city and close to many excellent restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Right across from Theatre, in the midst of high end ahopping and easy access to everything. Parking across the atreet underground is safe and reasonable. Staff very helpful in restaurant area suggestions. Typical Parisian style room with smaller space but the location is ideal.

Just between the 2 rivers, very close to restaurants and shops. The staff were all very helpful, especially Lili. We probably won't be back to Lyon, if we are, this will be our place to stay.

Mitten im Zentrum, sehr gute Anbindung an den ÖPNV, Metro Station gleich um die Ecke. Viele sehr gute Bars und Restaurants in der unmittelbaren Umgebung, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar. Nächstes Mal wieder!

the hotel is impeccable, the location is great and the staff is very attentive and efficient. They offer a great breakfast daily at a reasonable price. Overall the place is quiet and the double windows keep any outside noise out I would recommend this hotel highly.

Excellent location. Very walkable anywhere. Food was great. Recommend restaurant Le Meredien. Nice and helpful staff. Good rooms Breakfast cost 17 euros but was worth it

Joli hôtel, très bien situé. Le personnel à l'accueil est très poli, aidant. Par contre, télécommande Tv ne fonctionnait pas. J'ai demandé à minuit au veilleur qui m'a changé les piles (il n'était pas sûr d'en trouver.....). Pommeau de douche qui ne tenait pas. Lorsque que j'ai voulu le mettre à ma taille, l'ensemble m'est tombé dessus. Le sèche serviette ne fonctionnait également pas, le boîtier de contrôle ne s'allumait pas. J'imagine là aussi pile HS . Le petit déjeuné, est parfait. Petit mais répond parfaitement à notre attente. Le Monsieur qui s'occupe de nous est charmant. On se croirait dans un petit déjeuner de grand hôtel.

Spent 5 nights. The hotel rooms are very basic. However, our room was spacious for European standards and clean. The hotel was quiet. Lots of eating options in the area. Easily walkable to Old Lyon. Breakfast buffett was typical and just fine for my husband and I. They saved the day one morning with carry out coffee as we had an early train to catch. Hotel staff was friendly and helped schedule taxis and provided good advice on how long to give ourselves to catch trains and getting to the airport.

The property is solid, clean, well run with a very good breakfast serving products from local merchants (jams, bakery items, charcuterie, fromage, etc.) The breakfast room staff is stellar, fast and efficient. The front desk staff is both friendly and efficient. There is always someone on the desk and you are buzzed into the front entry. There is a lift! The rooms vary in size but ours was fairly spacious for 2 people. There was a separate W.C.and a double sink in the bathroom (lovely!) It had both good air conditioning and double paned windows. This kept the room quiet and insulated from both the warm weather and any noise from the Place Celestin right across the street. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Lyon!

The property is quite convenient if you like walking either to the Old Lyon or to the area around Bellecour, or along the Saone. The staff is quite pleasant and ready to help. The buffet would benefit from having some eggs other than boiled with some vegetables.

Petit hôtel en plein cœur de Lyon très sympathique Chambre agréable plutôt bien équipée Le seul petit point à améliorer serait l’attention sur le ménage. Il y avait quelques cheveux et poils dans la salle de bain.

In the first room, the aircon did not work. In the second room, the bathroom was tiny and I did not take a shower as I thought it was too difficult to get in and out of the bath. The third room solved those problems, especially with good sized walk-in shower. It was disappointing that the TV only had a selection of French channels. Other hotels had Eurosport, CNN&BBC available. (I would have liked to have seen the US Open tennis matches). The courtesy tray only offered tea infusion - some hotels have Nespresso machines but even the coffee packets would have been welcome. The hotel was in a quiet location but close to metro, restaurants and centre of town. Expensive breakfast but nice coffee and croissant just round the corner for 3euro.
