We had a short stay at König von Ungarn and it was perfect. The oasis of a bar at the ground floor, the personal who gave us such a warm welcome, and a stunning room. They were super helpful with everything ranging from parking to carrying bags to efficient room service. Will for sure be back at this hotel for a longer stay next time we’re in Vienna. Thanks!

Our stay at Hotel Konig von Ungarn was 10-stars perfect in every way! Located in inner stadt along street leading to St. Stephens's Cathedral, it is a true gem - a very historic hotel decorated in classic Viennese style furnishings and has a warm & inviting ambience. Our room was of a very large size with wood paneled walls, gorgeous Classic furnishings, beautiful chandelier, and vintage paintings. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable. The room had mini bar, large tv, large walk-in closet with safe, and huge bathroom with double sinks, large tub with 2 types of shower heads. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, an excellent cleaning staff! The bedding and towels were of wonderful quality. Rooms and hallways are carpeted adding to the tranquil quiet charm of the hotel. Breakfast is served in lovely room with many tasty choices and eggs cooked to-order, coffees to-order by friendly staff. In center of hotel is a beautifully decorated covered courtyard with relaxing seating lounge and bar, and always fresh flower arrangements. The staff of this hotel were remarkable - wonderfully kind, helpful, courteous & charming - both the reception desk team as well as the breakfast servers - all were a true delight! We thank all of them for their many kindnesses and for a truly wonderful stay - and special thanks to dear Waltraud at the front desk. This beautiful charming hotel and fabulous staff made this a truly fantastic stay and we are already hoping to return!!

This hotel is so darling and the PERFECT location- the cost was great too - the value. If you have a car- there are two parking locations they have a deal with to ensure you can park- because you are so centrally located and can walk everywhere. The staff was so helpful and friendly- the hotel really impacts I think sometimes if you will like a city or not- this hotel made me fall in love with Vienna- and I can't wait to go back- it was a complete experience. The room key is so iconic- it isn't a normal key card either. Great great stay.

A wonderful oasis in the center of town, with excellent staff in all levels (front desk, restaurant, bar, housekeeping). We were very pleased with our 5 night stay here. Superb location in the center of Vienna that makes getting to all sights very easy. The bar is in an inner courtyard in the hotel and is a quiet retreat.

A great family run hotel in the center of Vienna, right next to Stefanplatz and adjoining the Mozart House (one of them at least). While the location is excellent for convenience, it is also very noisy by it's very nature of being at the center. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and moved me to a room in a higher floor and to the other side of the building after complaining about the excessive noise that lasted past the weekend. The inside courtyard is amazing and worth experiencing. Really nice breakfast also with great staff.

We loved everything about this hotel, the location was excellent, central location yet it's quiet on a street. The room and property were very elegant, well maintained and historical. All stuff members were friendly and professional. The breakfast was very good, very impressed. We would love to go back this hotel when we go back to Vienna for sure.

A nice boutique hotel in a great location that is quiet but convenient for all you want to see in Vienna. A beautiful historic building that is clean and well-maintained, with spacious comfortable rooms with the modern conveniences. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay.

The hotel is located just behind the St Stephen's Cathedral and the center yet still very quiet. It's very central so is walkable to many places. U-bahn and shopping streets are a few minutes walk from the hotel, what more do you ask for. The room is spacious with sitting area and spotless. Big bathroom with 2 washing basins. Bed is big and very comfortable. The pillows choice is perfect. I prefer the low one while my husband prefers the high one. Everyday after the room is cleaned by the team of housekeeping, chocolate on the pillows and the water is filled. These are tiny things but that makes you feel they care their customers. The bartenders are very nice and attentive. Eateries and bars are everywhere and good. We reached the hotel by taxi and took the public transport (U-Bahn and train) to the airport. Both are about the same time around an hour. We will definitely stay at Hotel Konig von Ungarn again if we come back to Vienna in the future.

Our second stay at this hotel having been previously in December 2024. Fabulous location right by St Stephen’s cathedral. Easy walking distance to restaurants, cafés, the main sights and public transport easily available to those that are a little further out (e.g. Schönbrunn Palace). Hotel is clean comfortable and very charming. Great breakfast. Highly recommend.

I can't sing enough praise about this hotel. My teenager and I had the most pleasant stay here. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and every piece of furniture and decoration adds to the charm. We stayed here twice during different legs of our trip and both rooms were spacious and spotless. Can't beat the location; right in the city center and walking distance to most sites as well as subway station, and yet very quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff are so kind and helpful. And the breakfast was terrific. There is no point looking further, this hotel is a steal for the price.

It was a very classic property with a real old world feel. Just enough off the Stephanplatz Square to feel private, but steps away from a most beautiful city center. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful, with the possible exception of the bartender. The bar was supposed to be open until 11 and when we came in at 10:30 he seemed annoyed. The bar itself was cozy and charming. The rooms and beds were very comfortable but I would much prefer a stand up shower to the tub/shower arrangement that was quite awkward for my arthritic hip to negotiate access to. Breakfast was very good and nearby restaurants were plentiful. We of course had to have schitzel at Figlmuller, which was great, but really enjoyed the Israeli Resaurant Miznon which was 50 meters from the front door. Quirky and casual but really fun with uniquely great food. In general a great place to stay and when I go back to Vienna I will definitely look to stay there again.

Plus, the air conditioning did not work because it was central air conditioning and set too low. The breakfast was also not great quality, and the waiter serving breakfast was borderline rude all the time. It’s a shame because there were so many other great things about the property.

I thought this was a lovely hotel. While visually the colors in the rooms appear a little outdated, it fits in with Vienna and everything was clean and the bathrooom was more modern. The only drawback is that you don’t use a card to tap to enter your room you have to use a key to both lock and unlock your room.

Great location, easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. We had a maisonette which was palatial in size, never had so much room in a hotel before. Yes, the decor of our room was dated but the whole place was clean, beds comfortable, the ac worked and the breakfast was good. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Michael saved us and went above and beyond to help us when we forgot our passports in another city. Kamal pampered us. Service was outstanding in every way and the breakfast was delicious. You can’t beat the location. Many walkable sites, shopping and restaurants. The lounge area furniture is a little dated but clean and well-kept. Loved the flower arrangements. It would be nice to have accessible plugins in the room for our devices. Lamps with device plugins by the bed would solve this. The internet did not work in our room but we were given another room right away when the issue could not be resolved. It was nice to have a carafe of fresh water on the table in our room.

I had two nights at this lovely hotel. The location cannot be beat. It is beautiful, with a comfortable atrium lobby for coffee or wine. The room and bathroom were fantastic, spacious. All of that would have been fantastic, but the hotel staff, Siri in particular were amazing. My wallet was stolen at a train station prior to Vienna. I arrived upset and very stressed out. Siri offered and then walked me to the nearby Police Station to file a report. That care and kindness went a long way after an awful experience. The staff was kind and attentive - makes a difference. I'll be back to this beautiful spot!

Our second stay at this hotel having been previously in December 2024. Fabulous location right by St Stephen’s cathedral. Easy walking distance to restaurants, cafés, the main sights and public transport easily available to those that are a little further out (e.g. Schönbrunn Palace). Hotel is clean comfortable and very charming. Great breakfast. Highly recommend.

While the location is excellent for convenience, it is also very noisy by it's very nature of being at the center. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and moved me to a room in a higher floor and to the other side of the building after complaining about the excessive noise that lasted past the weekend. The inside courtyard is amazing and worth experiencing. Really nice breakfast also with great staff.

This hotel has not gotten the memo about behaving like a low-cost airline and it is so good for it! The building is ancient and centrally located right behind the Stephansdom. They stand out by a beautiful glass-covered inner courtyard inbetween the 4 sides of the hotel. I got a classical room. One gets the impression of following history as they have exhibited famous signatures from their guestbook on the walls. The room was extremely spacious, with a huge bed, two desks, even paper and postcards! Coffee / tea, as well as a minibar were in the room. Little attentions like a shoe-polish glove and chocolate on the pillow made the experience sweet. The bathroom was very modern and perfectly fitted for all ages (including his-her sinks, chair, bathtub with shower glass etc), and with proper (local, own-brand, partly hand-made) toiletries. Breakfast is also classical: cold options (sandwich and muesli mostly, and juices) are self-serve. Hot dishes (and they have about ten, including omelette and goulash; as well as coffee -tea) are made to order (included in price). The staff is super-friendly and pro-actively invites you to order the warm dishes. All in all, I did not think that after living in Vienna many years there was still such a gem to discover. I will return!

Our stay at Hotel Konig von Ungarn was 10-stars perfect in every way! Located in inner stadt along street leading to St. Stephens's Cathedral, it is a true gem - a very historic hotel decorated in classic Viennese style furnishings and has a warm & inviting ambience. Our room was of a very large size with wood paneled walls, gorgeous Classic furnishings, beautiful chandelier, and vintage paintings. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable. The room had mini bar, large tv, large walk-in closet with safe, and huge bathroom with double sinks, large tub with 2 types of shower heads. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, an excellent cleaning staff! The bedding and towels were of wonderful quality. Rooms and hallways are carpeted adding to the tranquil quiet charm of the hotel. Breakfast is served in lovely room with many tasty choices and eggs cooked to-order, coffees to-order by friendly staff. In center of hotel is a beautifully decorated covered courtyard with relaxing seating lounge and bar, and always fresh flower arrangements. The staff of this hotel were remarkable - wonderfully kind, helpful, courteous & charming - both the reception desk team as well as the breakfast servers - all were a true delight! The staff at the front desk were very nice, but there were no blackout screens for some of the windows, which was a real problem in the mornings. Plus, the air conditioning did not work because it was central air conditioning and set too low. The breakfast was also not great quality, and the waiter serving breakfast was borderline rude all the time. It’s a shame because there were so many other great things about the property.

I can't sing enough praise about this hotel. My teenager and I had the most pleasant stay here. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and every piece of furniture and decoration adds to the charm. We stayed here twice during different legs of our trip and both rooms were spacious and spotless. Can't beat the location; right in the city center and walking distance to most sites as well as subway station, and yet very quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff are so kind and helpful. And the breakfast was terrific. There is no point looking further, this hotel is a steal for the price.

Nice small hotel in the absolute best location imaginable in central Vienna. Nice, quiet room with a very nice large and recently renovated bathroom. Otherwise .. decor a bit dated, and whole hotel has a bit of .”patina”. Front desk very friendly and helpful, breakfast good for the price. We will stay there again.

This hotel has not gotten the memo about behaving like a low-cost airline and it is so good for it! The building is ancient and centrally located right behind the Stephansdom. They stand out by a beautiful glass-covered inner courtyard inbetween the 4 sides of the hotel. I got a classical room. One gets the impression of following history as they have exhibited famous signatures from their guestbook on the walls. The room was extremely spacious, with a huge bed, two desks, even paper and postcards! Coffee / tea, as well as a minibar were in the room. Little attentions like a shoe-polish glove and chocolate on the pillow made the experience sweet. The bathroom was very modern and perfectly fitted for all ages (including his-her sinks, chair, bathtub with shower glass etc), and with proper (local, own-brand, partly hand-made) toiletries. Breakfast is also classical: cold options (sandwich and muesli mostly, and juices) are self-serve. Hot dishes (and they have about ten, including omelette and goulash; as well as coffee -tea) are made to order (included in price). The staff is super-friendly and pro-actively invites you to order the warm dishes. All in all, I did not think that after living in Vienna many years there was still such a gem to discover. I will return!
