A beautiful 1840’s house, exquisitely refurbished. Margaret is a marvellous and accommodating host. Shared bathroom in the main house but there are two fantastic suites in a separate building. Breakfast to accommodate all tastes.

Such a lovely property and hostess! It was the perfect location for exploring the Main Street on foot…walk to stores and a choice of restaurants. There were multiple spaces to relax, inside and out. And options to cover your preferences….do you want a secluded unit in the back or prefer to be in the main house? If in the main house, there is an adorable pup and a shared bathroom, but it is massive and well situated. The breakfast was delicious….home made croissants, fresh fruit, homemade jam. I got a peek at the new studio in the back - it’s definitely worth checking out! If you are a reader there is the largest James Patterson collection I have ever seen, along with other mystery writers. And two very comfy chairs in which to sit. It is a place worth booking two nights at, to be honest!

The hostess is charming, helpful, and warmly welcomed us upon our arrival. The house is extremely clean and decorated with antiques. The kitchen is open and there is always tea, coffee, and baked goods available. The breakfast was delicious and the room very comfortable. Highly recommend this B&B.

Beautiful setting. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We stayed in the large apartment behind the main house and it was lovely. Clean and bright with comfy beds and a very well-appointed kitchen. Shops and restaurants were within an easy walk. We were only there one night but will be back for another, longer visit!

We had the loft apartment above the carriage house. It was large, bright and fully equipped with anything we could possibly need. This property is located close to Lunenberg, which is a UNESCO site that offers everything a seaside harbor town could offer.

Parking a little difficult. Otherwise, a very beautiful B&B. Owner, Margaret is very nice and showed us around the house and our room. Nice and big room and a huge patio off the room. We could help ourselves to kitchen amenities. We met several of her friends and enjoyed their company. Unfortunately we had to leave early so could not enjoy the breakfast. We would highly recommend staying at Miller House.

Margaret was a wonderful host - very accommodating, friendly, interesting and a wonderful breakfast cook! We loved the Captain’s Quarters and use of the huge private deck overlooking the backyard (or the water). Breakfast conversation with other guests was one of our highlights. We would definitely recommend Miller House by the Bay for anyone coming to Mahone Bay.
Margaret was a wonderful host - very accommodating, friendly, interesting and a wonderful breakfast cook! We loved the Captain’s Quarters and use of the huge private deck overlooking the backyard (or the water). Breakfast conversation with other guests was one of our highlights. We would definitely recommend Miller House by the Bay for anyone coming to Mahone Bay.

parking is right on site, enough room for the 4 people staying there. Room was immaculate. Bed very comfortable. The breakfast was great, anything you wanted. If you are a lighter sleeper then close the windows, it is on main street so you will hear some cars at night and early am. Margaret is a great host. From her house you can walk to everything in Mahone Bay, grocery store, pharmacy, urgent care, many places to eat. She has a small dog who is very very friendly and you can tell that she cares about the visitors, very engaging. Obviously you are in a house so if people get up you may here them. t here is a full bath upstairs and a half downstairs.. places to just sit if you want to chill out. Where she is located you dont have ot use your car in town. Easy trip to Lunenberg from there

I stayed in the Hug room which was small and cozy, great for a short stay. The house is beautiful and clean. Margaret was a very gracious host and genuinely interested in meeting people and was able to offer many suggestions for the remainder of my travels in Nova Scotia. The location is great with many restaurants in close proximity and the bay view across the street. A beautiful continental breakfast was nice to wake up to. I would definitely stay here again.

The overall property was nice and well maintained. The add however was misleading as we had no idea that we’d rented a suite in a separate building. We were excited to be staying in the house, but we were escorted to a loft in a building behind the house. It was nice but not the house. The main door didn’t lock, there was a shortage of towels (3 for 6 of us) and the coffee machine leaked water and wasn’t usable. All minor minus the non locking door. Great location.

The host was amazing. She was super nice and had a great breakfast. It was also great to visit with the other couples while we were having breakfast. The house was beautiful and in a great location. Bed was comfy and the house overall was quiet. Just a side note, there is not a private bathroom. It is shared, but was also big. Very nice. Would definitely stay there again.

The Miller House is a beautifully furnished Victorian house conveniently located in walking distance to restaurants and shops. Out hostess Margaret was gracious and thoughtful. Breakfast was a fabulous spread available whenever it was convenient. The only shortcoming was a shared bath with two other rooms. The atmosphere of Miller House was genuinely friendly.

Beautiful stay in Mahone Bay. Margaret (the owner) of the bed and breakfast was fantastic. Accommodating, kind, a great reference for local activities/hotspots; and an amazing woman with some great stories to share.

The house is beautiful and Margaret takes great care to preserve its heritage. She is very considerate of her guests and their needs. Everything was perfect for our stay, and I would highly recommend this B&B.

Margret and Susan were fabulous hosts. They are so welcoming and look after all the details. It’s like a home away from home. Oh I forgot about the most important part of the stay, “Chevy” you are a heartbreaker. 💔🐾
Margret and Susan were fabulous hosts. They are so welcoming and look after all the details. It’s like a home away from home. Oh I forgot about the most important part of the stay, “Chevy” you are a heartbreaker. 💔🐾

We had an amazing stay with Margaret; she was so kind and helpful. The house was amazing, comfortable and right in the middle of Mahone Bay, so everything was walkable from the B&B. We also got some snuggles from the cutest pup ever Chevy. We can't recommend this place enough!

Margaret was a warm and welcoming host! The B&B is located on the main strip of the super cute town Mahone Bay, which is a convenient ~12 minute driver from Lunenberg. The house location is perfect for exploring the town, but was still quiet at night (we slept with the windows open and didn't have any issues with noise!). The house itself is a beautiful, historic old house. Would recommend!

Miller House is located on Main Street with convenient parking at the rear of the house. The house is set back from the street in a beautiful lot with a private sitting area in the back. The hostess is charming, helpful, and warmly welcomed us upon our arrival. The house is extremely clean and decorated with antiques. The kitchen is open and there is always tea, coffee, and baked goods available. The breakfast was delicious and the room very comfortable. Highly recommend this B&B.

The Miller House was a perfect location for us during our recent stay. The walking and driving options were just what we were hoping for. Breakfast and the accommodations were lovely, comfortable and impressive. Miller House is a large, grand house but with Margaret’s warm presence, it becomes a welcoming home away from home. Definitely recommend.

parking is right on site, enough room for the 4 people staying there. Room was immaculate. Bed very comfortable. The breakfast was great, anything you wanted. If you are a lighter sleeper then close the windows, it is on main street so you will hear some cars at night and early am. Margaret is a great host. From her house you can walk to everything in Mahone Bay, grocery store, pharmacy, urgent care, many places to eat. She has a small dog who is very very friendly and you can tell that she cares about the visitors, very engaging. Obviously you are in a house so if people get up you may here them. t here is a full bath upstairs and a half downstairs.. places to just sit if you want to chill out. Where she is located you dont have ot use your car in town. Easy trip to Lunenberg from there

Such a lovely property and hostess! It was the perfect location for exploring the Main Street on foot…walk to stores and a choice of restaurants. There were multiple spaces to relax, inside and out. And options to cover your preferences….do you want a secluded unit in the back or prefer to be in the main house? If in the main house, there is an adorable pup and a shared bathroom, but it is massive and well situated. The breakfast was delicious….home made croissants, fresh fruit, homemade jam. I got a peek at the new studio in the back - it’s definitely worth checking out! If you are a reader there is the largest James Patterson collection I have ever seen, along with other mystery writers. And two very comfy chairs in which to sit. It is a place worth booking two nights at, to be honest!

We stayed in the larger loft suite, which is actually above the garage and not part of the main house. Things were clean and comfortable. Assumed it was a B&B from the name but were never invited into the house or informed of any breakfast. Also, the door to the bottom suite did not lock from either side, making the stay a bit uncomfortable. Someone doing renovations left the tv on in the bottom suite all night at max volume as well.

The Miller House is a beautifully furnished Victorian house conveniently located in walking distance to restaurants and shops. Out hostess Margaret was gracious and thoughtful. Breakfast was a fabulous spread available whenever it was convenient. The only shortcoming was a shared bath with two other rooms. The atmosphere of Miller House was genuinely friendly.

The owner Margaret was a real charm! She welcomed us into her beautiful vintage home with open arms and made us feel right at home. Our room was very spacious and the common washroom area was nothing short of excellent. Our breakfasts were top notch and conversation time with other guests made the whole experience outstanding! When and if we return to Mahone Bay, we will be staying at Miller House if possible. Thanks Margaret....we had a fantastic stay!!

Wonderful home, with a wonderful host. She made us feel welcome right from the start. The room was spacious and well-decorated, and the bed was comfy. All was going well until Nova Scotia Power turned off the electricity @ 23:00 for work elsewhere. Elecricity was supposed to be back on @ 07:00, and we awoke to the smell of yeast - so something was happening in the kitchen. Alas, the power wasn't restored until some time closer to 09:00 IIRC, so the croissants were baked after we'd had our breakfast of cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. Guests were sent on their way with croissants 'for the road', but we somehow forgot grab ours. Shucks. LOL Highly recommended for those looking for a place to stay in the area. BTW, Mahone Bay is very scenic and we got some nice photos.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The room and shared bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and there was Keurig coffee and a large selection of tea. We didn’t use the hot tub but the patio was nice. The room we stayed in does not have A/C but the window fan kept us cool. I would recommend the Miller House to couples looking for an authentic Bed and Breakfast experience in a historic home.

What a wonderful place to stay! We were so sad we hadn’t set aside more time to stay at this lovely B&B in a sweet town— just to slow down and enjoy the place itself. Margaret is a delightful host and inn-keeper and we are already thinking about our next visit.
