The room was beautiful! I loved all the different light switches and the controls for the room lights. My literal only complaint was the lack of lotion for the bathroom - everything else was perfect for the Sandman. The restaurant/bar, the Tavern had great food and drinks too!

This was a great hotel and will certainly be back. There were a few things to note though. The hot tub was not working, even though it’s a brand new hotel. The restaurant was closed for a private party and no one at the front desk told us, even asking about it at check in, which was one of the whole reasons we stayed at this hotel was for the room service ended up having to do Uber eats instead. Otherwise, everything was great and the service was wonderful!

This hotel is pretty new, could smell the newness when I walked in my room. Pool is small from what i could see. Room service is coming soon. Tavern next door is connected to hotel it offers food and drinks. Very nice place but food is pricey. Overall would stay there again there.

The location is brand new. The pool & hot tub was the highlight for me after a long week. The pool was heated which was nice. The whole facility was clean & nice. The staff was also very friendly

Amazing Hotel. Got in from a late flight and breezed through check in. Room was luscious: pillow top bed, a mix of firm and soft pillows, wonderful robe and rain head shower. Slept like a baby. Also, the Tavern restaurant was excellent. Will be back

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff is friendly, helpful and makes the stay nice. We had trouble with our tv, maintenance came, and he fixed the connectivity problem in 10 minutes. He was courteous and professional. The parking lot is well-lit and maintained with ample spots close to the hotel. There is a coffee bar cafe but we did not purchase anything from it. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable though it seemed a little warm during the night. (Maybe turn down the thermostat more next time.) Overall, the room had ample comfortable seating with a great view and enough amenities. The bathroom was beautiful with a light changing mirror. The dual shower head was perfect. The only downside was that the shower leaked a little at the bottom (overspray from the shower head) where the shower door closed and got the towel soaked, so we just used the second floor towel in the morning. We loved our stay at Sandman and will return next time we are in Irving.

I enjoyed this property and did not realize that it was still under a soft opening. We had a handicap room that was on the 4th floor, which I found odd. If there was an emergency and the elevators did not work, how would the handicap people get down from the forth floor?? Also, the pool was still under maintenance, which I didn't know about until we checked in. It was one of the reasons we picked that hotel! However, the staff was incredibly friendly and the workout room was NICE!

The blanket in the room that eas stored about the armoire was unwashed and smelled horrible. The couch could have used some pillows. We requested the room yo be cleaned and it eas never cleaned. On the other hand... the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was new and very clean when we arrived. The sex was amazing!

Hotel is new and really shines. Honestly, my room was as clean and consciously arranged as any 5* property I've stayed at. The staff were a great mix of professional and warm. I'm afraid for the secret to get out--will definitely return.

The tub was nasty and smelled like a puppy was in it and there was dried blood on the sheets. We removed the sheets and clean/sanitized the the tub ourselves. Staff was extremely nice and everything else was clean. Those were the only 2 complaints we had.

This was an amazing stay! Brand new hotel and very pleasant staff! Room was incredibly comfortable with rainfall shower head and comfortable bed with different firmness if pillows. Smart TV you could connect your phone to! They even provide comfy bathrobes. Parking was simple and they had a nice cafe downstairs. Every member of the staff that we came in contact with was kind and helpful. We had key card issues when we first checked in (which magically resolved itself in front of our eyes, haha) and the staff was helpful. It can be frustrating when front desk staff fixes your key card only to arrive back on the 6th floor and it not work. That was not the case here and it's little details like that that matter to people that travel often. The filtered water bottle station to refill my water bottle on the way out is always a nice touch. The beds were super comfortable and the robes in the room were so soft. The bathrooms were nice and the make up mirror was very convenient. Truly, my only complaint is that the water pressure in the shower could improve a bit. There are dual shower heads, really a super neat set up, but the water pressure renders the extra shower head basically useless. Overall, a great stay and I will look into staying here in the future!

The hotel was new and advertised amenities such as pool and restaurant and when I arrived both were still under construction. Also I brought my dog and was told the pet deposit was $100 then when I went to pay it was $200 nonrefundable.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff is friendly, helpful and makes the stay nice. We had trouble with our tv, maintenance came, and he fixed the connectivity problem in 10 minutes. He was courteous and professional. The parking lot is well-lit and maintained with ample spots close to the hotel. There is a coffee bar cafe but we did not purchase anything from it. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable though it seemed a little warm during the night. (Maybe turn down the thermostat more next time.) Overall, the room had ample comfortable seating with a great view and enough amenities. The bathroom was beautiful with a light changing mirror. The dual shower head was perfect. The only downside was that the shower leaked a little at the bottom (overspray from the shower head) where the shower door closed and got the towel soaked, so we just used the second floor towel in the morning. We loved our stay at Sandman and will return next time we are in Irving.

I booked this as a last minute stay before flying out. One of the best hotels I've stayed at lately. VERY clean, the night staff was responsive and friendly. I will def keep this on my list to stay again.

The room was beautiful! I loved all the different light switches and the controls for the room lights. My literal only complaint was the lack of lotion for the bathroom - everything else was perfect for the Sandman. The restaurant/bar, the Tavern had great food and drinks too!

This was a great hotel and will certainly be back. There were a few things to note though. The hot tub was not working, even though it’s a brand new hotel. The restaurant was closed for a private party and no one at the front desk told us, even asking about it at check in, which was one of the whole reasons we stayed at this hotel was for the room service ended up having to do Uber eats instead. Otherwise, everything was great and the service was wonderful!

This hotel is pretty new, could smell the newness when I walked in my room. Pool is small from what i could see. Room service is coming soon. Tavern next door is connected to hotel it offers food and drinks. Very nice place but food is pricey. Overall would stay there again there.

Sonia, the front desk person, was extremely friendly and accommodating. She welcomed guest with a smile as the entered/exited the property. This place would receive a 5 if the onsite restaurant had been open already. I would definitely stay here on business again.

We had a late check-in with two young children, and shortly after arriving, we discovered a cockroach in the bathroom of our hotel room. While I understand that pests can occasionally find their way into a hotel room, what was far more disappointing was the response from the front desk staff when we reported it. Instead of apologizing or showing any concern, the staff member told us, “There are a lot of cockroaches in the area, and I have them at home.” I was honestly shocked. That is an incredibly inappropriate and dismissive response, especially when a guest is reporting a pest inside their hotel room. There was no apology, no immediate solution, and no offer to move us to another room. We had to specifically ask for a different room ourselves before one was finally provided. I had genuinely high expectations for this hotel, which made the experience even more disappointing. The cockroach itself was unpleasant, but the lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service was what truly ruined our stay. A hotel’s response when something goes wrong says a lot about how much they value their guests. I understand that no hotel can guarantee that a pest will never enter a room. However, I absolutely expect the staff to handle a situation like this with professionalism, empathy, an apology, and an appropriate solution. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected much better.
