Quality Inn & Suites Elko

The property was dirty the outside was full of trash. The weeds around the property had taken over. The dumpster was empty but the area around the dumpster was full of trash. All the outside and inside trash cans were full and never emptied. The dog area had no bags to clean up after my pets. I used my own. There was no grass for the dogs just dirt a shovel and a box. A box??? Vending machines were empty, there was no ice machine. The coffee maker had an old coffee bag in it. The couch in the room was filthy. The white bedspread had stains on it. The back door was NEVER locked and didn't require a key to open it. I will say that the young man behind the counter was nice our room wasn't ready so he did give me the room that was ready if you can call it that.

No elevator to get belongings up to second floor

Room was comfortable and clean. Staff we interacted with was helpful and courteous. Overall the stay was fine. The ice machine was not working and the vending machines were empty and apparently not working either. When I came back from picking up dinner after dark the exterior lights and the main sign were not on, making it hard to see where to turn in.

Overall, the staff were very pleasant and the room value was great. The landscaping and parking lot need some improvement. Good value for the area. The pet rate per day is the best in town.

Asked for first floor accommodations and was told available but after checking in, the manager told us they were already reserved and could not accommodate. We therefore was placed on second floor with no elevator, not ideal for the elderly. Hotel needs some TLC however the beds were very comfortable.

Having service dogs means we are relegated to "approved dog rooms." Room 122 smelled so bad of urine or mold I was tempted to go back to the desk and say we could not stay in that room. Hubby failed to watch dogs while I unloaded the car and dogs drank from toilet. Toilet not equipped with toilet seat cover. I used a washclothe to wipe up dribbled water and it was black due to dirty floor. The carpet at the entry into the room was covered with white dog hair. Apparently they don't vacuum hallways. The was a pet firm to read, agree to and sign. One otem was to use assigned area to walk dogs and to pickup after the dog. Nice sized fenced dog park. Filled with dog poop. No bags in the holder. Passed on breakfast due to the smell of old rancid cooking oil permeating the hallways. The bathroom sink was not attached to the wall and with no safety rails for getting in and out of the shower I used the sink for balance. Not safe. The bed was comfortable. The linens looked clean but after dirty floor I wondered what conditions the sheets were really in. Also watching my dogs in case they get sick from dirry toilet water. Won't be8ng stay8ng at Quality Inns again.

We have previously stayed at this hotel several times, but were disappointed with this trip. The pet area was DISGUSTING. During past stays it was better maintained ... this time it was full of weeds and what appeared to be several days of dog mess. In addition, the low battery chirp on the smoke detector in our room started going off during the night. I tried calling the desk to see if someone was available to replace the battery ... it rang and rang with no answer. I walked to the desk and no one was there. I tried calling on the desk phone as instructed, but only got a busy signal. I made the assumption that the night clerk was asleep with his phone off the hook. We got very little sleep all night with the constant alert going off. The next morning we met the young lady who was setting up the breakfast and she apologized and confirmed that she had needed to wake up the night clerk to unlock the door and let her in for her morning shift. We had planned to stay at that hotel again a week later on our return trip, but changed our plans and will probably never use it again!

Our keys kept getting deactivated each day. The side doors did not work to get in. Toilet lid broken in 2 spots. One of the beds was horrible. Needs a good paint job. The exercise room equipment was out of service. The property needs some TLC inside and outside for sure- a lot of overgrown brush, the doggy area was scary. Broken screens on the windows.just trashy looking. Drawers were dirty. Not the property’s fault but there was an 8-hour power outage yet .2 miles down the power was on. Staff were nice. Breakfast was alright.

The hotel room was filthy that the walls by the coffee maker looked like it had burgers on it. The bathroom looked the same. The floors were also filthy and beds were squeaky

It was dirty all over not just the rooms. I dont think they ever vacuum the halls or wipe down anything. Bathroom had hairs all over the walls, duvet was dirty and pretty sure they never mop the floor. Bed was like a taco.

I liked the room, as the floor was wood-look laminate and the bathroom was ceramic tile and all was clean. The bed was comfortable and the microwave and mini fridge made choices for meals easier. The front desk was helpful yet not intrusive ( I don’t know why, but some hotel staff act like they have to know everything about me and my stay.) I will stay here again and this stay of four nights was very pleasant and comfortable. Also very affordable. Great job Quality Inn!

This place was filthy. When I got my key it took me to a room that had not been clean. Disgusting first impressions. Then they had no ice for the guests. We drove a long way for a gross stay at this location. Carpets were so gross I would never walk barefoot on them. What a waste of 125 dollars

My bed was not changed - sheets and comforter were dirty with obvious usage from previous guests - no towels in the room I had to change my own sheets and make my bed

The room was very dirty, the floors were sticky, the walls were covered in stain and the bathroom needed a lot of work and cleaning. The AC was blowing air that smelled like a dead animal was inside. Glad we were only there for a night.

The room was very clean and beds were cozy. Cleanliness is super important to me! The overall property was neat and clean as well.

The rug had not been vacuumed and it needed to be shampooed. It was very dirty. The bathroom mirror had not been cleaned and there was an electrical problem with the light. Also, the bed skirt had not been cleaned. There was dirt and hair on it closet to the headboard. The shower was good.

Smallest room I ever experienced in a Quality/Choice inn. SMALL! Less than 3ft around 3 sides of the queen size bed.

This place was very clean, but the room was quite small. The toilet was very low to the ground, and felt like a toddlers potty seat. The complementary breakfast was very nice. The one girl working was extremely sweet, but appeared over worked as she attended the front desk, as well as the breakfast area.

Freshest fried potatoes that we have had in a motel breakfast. Our room was the smallest that we have ever had in a motel. Would recommend that room to be used for a single traveler or cheaper rates. However the bed was comfortable and we slept good. I would recommend physically looking at the room before checking in (not just online pictures).

I had an issue at check-in and the staff was SUPER helpful in hearing me out and helping with my needs. 10/10 recommend.

The young woman at the front desk was very polite, kind and well mannered. It was such a pleasure walking into a hotel and being greeted with a kind smile as well as going out of her way to help us.

I was given a room key to another persons room when I checked in. I walked in on another person in the room watching tv. I immediately ran out and demanded a different room. The room that I stayed in had the clothes of the previous customer still in it. The rooms are obvious not cleaned in depth.

Check in with Ash was.perfect. Very friendly and knowledgible. Tinatia was a great support when the tv would not work. She solved the problem even with a full hotel to deal with. A BIG THANKS to both.

Manager was rude at the end after checkout. I had issues with the communication between Expedia and the property. Miscommunication from the manager. I will not go back!!

Reservations were lost. Finally corrected. After 3 phone calls to customer service. Room was dirty. Phone and tv didn’t work. Breakfast was provided but over 50% of items were out at 0700.

Desk manager was an incredibly friendly individual and made my stay enjoyable.

I booked a particular room and was told that room was going to cost me $69.00 more a night. They put me in a much smaller room that had a cracked window. Same thing happened on my return visit 4 days later. My position is that they were using the bait and switch scam. Did not get the room I booked for both visits. Very disappointing. I am requesting that you refund me for both visits. I will never book with you or their hotel again!

Well...I prepaid for the stay. I now have three additional pending charges. They had my last name and other personal information correct, except the first name was not even close. I reserved a room with two queen beds, and I was assigned a room with a single queen bed. This did get fixed but my friend had to wait with our luggage while I worked with the desk attendant. No elevator. The toilet seat was loose and we could not tighten it. I informed them of this and he responded that management is coming next month to replace all that. It is likely that a heavy person could easily cause it to break. We had to be very careful ourselves. Nice hotel, not so great administration. Hopefully, the charges will resolve without too much effort on my part.

Decent location for a one night stop along a main route. Comfortable bed and good shower pressure.

It is at the convenient location to our business meeting and highway I-80. The general condition of the hotel and room is well kept. The staff for our check-in and free breakfast services are very friendly and professional. The only thing can be improved is the heater in the room, too hot when turning on even on low, too cold when turning off.

Older hotel with good rooms and a good breakfast. Very convenient to I80. Some highway noise from road very close to the hotel.

Right off the highway. Easy to get back on. Comfortable, peaceful, clean.... What more can one ask for when passing through....

STAYED 2 SEPERATE NIGHTS 1 ON WAY TO IDAHO AND 1 RETURNING BOTH MORNING HOT BREAKFASTS WERE COLD THE FOOD WARMING PANS WERE NOT WORKING VERY WELL BANANAS WERE VERY OVER RIPE THE FIRST MORNING AND NO BANANAS SECOND MORNING.

Clean and quiet except for the fridge which was a bit noisy. Good breakfast. Excellent value for $$$. Would stay here again

In bad need of dusting toe board, piping under bathroom sink, hair dryer etc. Every light switch is just nasty. Went for breakfast at 0800 both days. Day 1, only a couple of sausages left. Day 2, a few sausages and a scoop of fried potatoes. I ended up eating down the street. I come to Elko often but will not stay here again.

Best part is the waffle maker at breakfast…Hotel is convenient and affordable, you get what you pay for.

I was alright they ran out of eggs and sausage at 8:15 am and where not going to make more until they had multiple complaints and then they changed their mind

Unfortunately, the property shows its age, though clearly the place has attempted upgrades. The plumbing is very loud (if one of your guests showers early while the other is sleeping in, well, the other won't be sleeping in). The beds and bedding were comfortable and clean, more than ample pillows of varying descriptions so there's like one you'll like, clean towels. The hot breakfast with multiple options was pretty decent: waffle machine, coffee machine, canned gravy to go with the sausages, biscuits and fluffy insta-eggs, three kinds of cold cereal, toast, PB&J, apples... The place would be well served in heating its gravy before plopping it in the serving dish cold - what a bummer for the guest who didn't realize it then had no way to heat it as there's no microwave out there. Our refrigerator was unplugged when we arrived. We learned why when we plugged it in. It stank of mildew and was very loud, probably kept some previous guests awake. On top of that, take heed: the place is not ADA accessible. We requested a downstairs room after one in our party was injured days before our arrival. She had a very difficult time managing stairs to our room. They had no downstairs available (wouldn't transfer us to a downstairs room) and have no elevator. The on-site manager throughout our stay must live in the foyer. He was friendly and hard-working, clearly caring about guests and the place.

It was a place to stay. Breakfast was ok except eggs were the worst eggs since college cafeteria 45 years ago.

Although they offered breakfast, it was minimal and long gone within the first hour.

This is a very good hotel, clean, quiet and convenient. The breakfast options were many and much better that at other comparable hotels.
