Terms & House Rules
1. Check-in & Check-out
Check-in:- 2:00 PM onwards
Check-out:- Before 11:00 AM
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
2. Payment & Cancellation Policy
Full payment must be made at check-in. We accept cash, UPI, and major digital payment methods.
Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before check-in. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged for the first night, subject to the cancellation policy of the booking platform used.
3. Guest Policy
A valid government-issued photo ID is required at check-in. International guests must provide a valid passport and visa/travel documents as required by Indian regulations.
Guests must be 18 years or older. Minors are permitted only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and where allowed under the property's accommodation policy.
Outside guests and unregistered visitors are not permitted inside dormitory rooms.
4. Contact Number Required
Please make sure to provide a valid contact number when making your booking.
We may need to contact you regarding your arrival, directions, check-in, or important booking information. If we are unable to reach you due to an incorrect or unavailable contact number, we may not be able to guarantee arrangements related to your arrival.
5. House Rules
Quiet Hours:- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Please respect fellow travellers and the surrounding community.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside rooms and indoor common areas. Designated smoking areas are available.
Drugs & Illegal Substances:-
Possession, consumption, or use of illegal drugs or prohibited substances is strictly forbidden on the premises. Any violation may result in immediate eviction from the property.
6. Dormitory Etiquette
Please keep noise levels low and respect shared spaces and fellow travellers.
Each guest is assigned a bunk and designated storage/locker space. Please use only the space assigned to you.
Visitors and unregistered guests are not permitted inside dormitory rooms to protect the privacy and security of all guests.
7. Liability & Safety
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Lockers are provided for convenience, and guests are strongly encouraged to use them.
Guests may be charged for damage to hostel property caused by them during their stay.
FREEDOM HOUSE, Munroe Island – A Backpackers Hostel is not responsible for disruptions to travel plans caused by circumstances outside the property's reasonable control, including severe weather, transportation disruptions, or other unforeseen events.
8. Activities & Experiences
Activities may include kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), canoeing, cycling, fishing experiences, island exploration, community cooking, and other local experiences.
Guests must follow all safety instructions provided by the activity organiser or guide. Life jackets must be worn during applicable water activities.
Outdoor and water-based activities are subject to weather, water conditions, availability, and safety considerations. Activities may be cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled when conditions are considered unsafe.
9. Management Rights
FREEDOM HOUSE reserves the right to refuse service or ask a guest to leave the property if they seriously violate hostel rules, threaten the safety or comfort of others, damage property, or repeatedly disrupt the community environment.
Rates, activities, facilities, and policies may be updated from time to time.
