The room was very clean and comfortable and the amenities are relaxing especially the pools

We've stayed here before and it is a lovely location. The bar in the hotel never seems to be open though and no room service, so you have to go outside the hotel for everything food and beverage. Definitely room for improvement in the cleaning aspect, no internet or foxtel in the bedroom for the tv. And really dislike the shutters for the bathroom. No one wants to listen to the other person using the bathroom. The onsite complimentary parking is great.

Great property within the Salt complex in Kingscliff. We had a 2 bedroom dual key room which was great with 4 adults. The rooms were clean , living are a bit small however it had a balcony with extra chairs and tables. There was secure parking as well as plenty of off street parking, great pool, walking distance to beach,restaurants and shops. Staff were fantastic . We utilised the nearby bike and walking paths into Kingscliff town centre, tennis courts and pool. Would recommend

Stayed here more than once great location right on the beach. Has a great walkway from Kingscliff all the way past Casarena Beach can walk for miles. Well lucky enough to be here while whales were passing and got to see them up close and very personal on the beach amazing to pop out and see the majestic animals passing by. Heaps of restaurants around cafes as well hotel is very well situated. All unit are fully self-contained or the studios have a kitchenette. Would recommend staying here. Don’t really need to leave during winter. There is one heated pool but it is a very small pool. I would imagine. The large pool would be very crowded in summer because there are a lot of units for the size of pool.

All good but some details can be improved : maintenance level of room facilities below expectations . A little bit over priced restaurant and very shallow swimming pool . Staff too young missing some guidance for flawless service Location is perfect far a part from the crowd .

Beautiful gardens and lovely pool. Near beach. Plenty of eating and drinking options. Our apartment was facing south and the aircon/heater warmed the living area but not the bedroom and the one blanket was old and flimsy and the bed throw was also not up to much so I was cold at night. The bikes were in bad repair too rusty to use. The gym was rather basic. No free weights.

Everything you need here at Salt, Kingscliff. A variety of restaurants and food options. Patrolled beach, pool, tennis and great walking / cycling path. Our room was freshly painted and clean. We chose the breakfast option and the buffet had a great variety.

Property itself was lovely. Not really a good selling point to have to go to Peppers Resort for breakfast. Bar had no short order snacks, so you had to leave the pool area to obtain for example hot chips, as there was no kitchen. Limited variety of packaged snacks from the bar. Went to hire a bike. They were complimentary. Seriously bad rusted, no ladies bikes. They were ready for the tip. Mantra should remove them. We were told new bikes were coming. Mantra would be better off for the time being doing a deal with the bike hire in the village and just getting rid of those old bikes. Brought Mantra’s standards down. Pool towels, they could be on a portable table, not ideal having to hunt them down and find them at reception.

The mantra main areas and our room were immaculate and staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful pool and close Walk to the beach -such an enjoyable stay! We will be back

The place is tired Dated. Smells of mould Needs a complete renovation Unpleasant to come back to each night Staff were lovely outdoor facilities good but the apartment felt dirty Feels like things get wiped over but not cleaned. Hallways were also not good

The surrounds were fantastic, good range of places to eat and a beautiful coastline but that's where it stops The book in was with a arrogant young man that didn't want to be there ,you offered us a room with no facilities and the room had two separate lots of human hair I hope left in the shower which I took photo's of . Just disgusting and so was the book out

carpet was very dirty. And very dusty. my white socks were filthy after walking around. very unhygenic.

We were told our room is not ready at check-in and they will give us a call when it's ready to come back. we never receive any calls from the reception/staff. Once we in our room, we found the bath towels are a bit damp and there's hair still attached to it (Disgusting). The toilet seat was loose as well. Not a nice experience.

Beautiful piece of property needing some updating. My unit was nice, but grossed out with someones long hair and crumbs in carpet. My white socks were black from walking around in room. Staff friendly when asking questions.

The room did not feel clean. Carpet is soiled and I assume the bathroom walls had not been wiped I could see handprints. The toilet seat was chipped enough to not be cleaned properly.

Nice quiet relaxing location, good pools and close to beach and dining options. No air con in the bedroom was a problem. The ocean view is very poor and not worth the extra money.

Good location close to the beach and nice pool area and public spaces. No in-house restaurant facilities open for breakfast or dinner. Lobby bar was open for drinks and bar snacks. Luckily there are stand alone restaurants within a short walking distance. Rooms are spacious and king bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the room needs a renovation as bathrooms and small kitchen are out of date with old taps that sprayed everywhere and the room had old furniture and decor.

Staff fine. Need to check appliances etc. the dishwasher wasn’t working and there was no phone line working.

Room needs upgrade for price per night. No cable TV as advertised. Pillows need replacing, shower pressure poor. Location/facilities and staff are amazing.

Very dated. The TV was not even a flat screen and very small, the oven looked dirty.

We stayed in a one bedroom spa suite, which was compact and a well planned space. The kitchen had oven and microwave, however there was nothing to use in the microwave to cook/heat meals, and nothing to use in the oven, there were enough pots and pans for the stove top. The bathroom was very nice however the partition between the bathroom and bedroom was not sufficient to block out sounds (slats, no glass). The bed was comfortable it was a cold weekend, we had to ask for a blanket as none were supplied initially. The position of the windows was great and meant you can look out from the seating and the bed. The balcony had room for a little round table and 2 chairs and two sunbeds. Our view was over the local neighbourhood with a view of the ocean in the distance. It was quiet in August. There are airplanes flying over occasionally. The Resort with its lovely pool area, and gardens with sunbeds and shade is nicely thought out and we would have spent more time there if it hadnt been so cold. We planned to use the Bbqs but it poured with rain. We had a bit of fun playing table tennis. The restaurants are in Peppers Resort. The coffee/bar in the reception area seemed to be closed most of the time. There is a very short walk around the side of the resort to a coffee shop, fish shop, mini mart, icecream and clothing shops. There is a large bar and restaurant there as well. We walked along the path to Kingscliff and back approx 3 km each way. The scenery was really beautiful.

Checkin staff were a bit frazzled. Rooms getting a bit tired over the years. Still good location. Would probably stay again.

Really nice suite with lovely furniture and fittings. Well priced. Really wanted an ocean view room as was advertised, but couldn't see much unless you stood on your toes and peered over the trees!! A really pleasant stay at a very relaxing location, thanks!

The reason for my very poor review is simply I tried to get a refund on my accomodation a week prior to my stay and No luck... 2 night minimum $664. To be told by the manager Emily No Sorry. This is just a poor attitude and leaves a sour taste in my month. People be careful when you book as they have no empathy if something goes wrong, they will not refund your stay. She just shut it down. Very Very disappointing.

Checkin, room wasn't ready at 2.05pm. Girl at reception would text us when ready. She didnt, we wrnt to reception 1hr layer to check and ot was ready, asked why she didn't let us know, no response, asked sgain no response. She said she would arrange extra sheets, didnt happen, had to contact housekeeping. We booked breakfast for Seasons, got there, nobooking altjough ot had neen charged, we were suppose to get vouchers and girls at reception didn't even talk about vouchers, just said she would book for us. This was all the same girl on reception.. got to room, cards weren't coded, so couldn't access room. All other staff were amazing especially the restaurant manager at breakfast. After the checkin dramas it was a lovely stay, however ckeaning needs to be better.

Nice property in a lovely location. However, customer service was absolutely terrible! Had an issue in our room and they did not seem in the slightest interested in helping us to resolve. Even after consulting with the manager, he didn’t even try to help. Getting a taxi was also difficult and again staff seemed reluctant to help. Also, most on site facilities seemed closed. We understand it was off season but there was no warning of this before arrival. Only interested in your money and not your experience. Would never stay there again

We absolutely loved our stay at Mantra at Salt Beach. Staff are lovely, parking is underground, pool is huge and accessible, and beach is metres away. Very convenient, great services, clean and well appointed room and a set up port a cot for our use. We will be back for sure!

Was very dissapointed with the service at reception. One gentlemen was extremely rude. Not accomodating or helpful at all. Checking in took about 20 minutes (not waiting in line just at the desk waiting for it to be processed) our keys did not open the second bedroom door so i had to go back downstairs and get them to fix the cards. Was treated very rudely when i did this even though it was their mistake.

Lovely accomodation, great facilities and overall beautiful to be at. I also want to do a special shoutout to them as I was on a business trip which the rain cancelled, so they allowed a complimentary late check out for me so I could continue working from my room until I could check in to my next place. Great service

Great facilities for families. Staff could be more helpful. More information on the hotel facilities and general area would have been good. An in room food service would be good or at least information on how to dine in.

Check-in was first class. Raj was very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay but there was an obvious staff shortage- no bar or pool service, no housekeeping during a three day stay.

Comfortable rooms, great location and good facilities. Gardens are beautiful and there is a lot of food options in the Salt village.

We had a garden view one bedroom unit. It was very quiet & the outlook was lovely. Unit was well equiped with kitchen, washer & drier & large balcony. Beach was only a stroll away as were restaurants & bars. 2.5 kilometre walk to Kingscliffe via a pathway along the beach. There was ample undercover parking for guests & also plenty of outdoor parking for visitors.

What an awesome hotel !! Amazing and can’t wait to go back again. Great location to restaurants, IGA and Liqour store. A great beach and a amazing pool… Steve H. (Canada)

This property is spread over a large area and has a mixture of hotel accommodation. We had a bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool itself was clean having various depths of water suitable for children and those wishing to swim. Plenty of sunbeds and substantial sunshades. Lovely variety of restaurants which all had a takeaway facility. Mini mart for those with self catering accommodation and some clothing shops. The beautiful beach and sea is within 5 minutes walk. Would certainly recommend this hotel .

The suite we had was clean but very dated and in need of a refurb. We were very surprised to learn that you had to pay for WiFi and that we had to go across the Rd to another location for breakfast. The outdoor areas pool etc were very nice with lots of sun loungers.

We enjoyed our stay here mainly due to the pool area and outside seating areas. The reception area is nice but as a whole the place needs an upgrade. The room had a musty smell, there was no fan in bathroom, the bathroom had no sound-proofing with slatted doors/window. The balcony door didn't have a fly screen. One of our party seriously hurt their foot on the one inch step into the bathroom with others of us kicking it numerous times. It did the job but the place could do with a good deep clean and new carpets. We enjoyed the close proximity to the numerous restaurants and cafes.

Room was fine but the deal included full buffet breakfast but all the food was cold which was pretty disappointing.

The room/mini apartment was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was great - except when I arrived at 8.30pm there was no food available (restaurant was closed). This should be made clear as I had nothing to eat! Not such a big deal for me but if you were travelling with hungry kids...... Other than that a great stay!
