motel, not a hotel...old property updated room, clean. owned by carousel group. on main drive, noisy. close enough to beach to walk. decent part of ocmd. Breakfast "on the go" is a joke. coffee sucks. pool is size of a big hot tub in front of road. elevator old and slow. budget motel 2 star type.

The price was great for a convenient location to the beaches, stores, events and others. Very simple hotel that had basic things, small pool, little gym and arcade. The free breakfast was basic bagels, coffee, juice, muffins and fruits. The rooms are comfortable with great air conditioning, clean and simple set up. I would go back, we were out most of the day and this worked out great.

The room itself was very clean and located very close to the beach. I found the common areas, walkways and elevators in need of a thorough cleaning. The washing machine and dryer were older and could use replacement and the light in the laundry room was out.

Poor is a bit harsh but I didn’t want to say average either. Location is great! Steps to the beach. Pool was clean and the kids loved it. Staff was very very nice BUT if you are squeamish about upkeep, this is not for you. Room is clean at first glance but they do not mop!! The floors are hard (makes sense for sand and such) but we spilled a water bottle and wiped it up and the cloth was black! We spent the entire week playing the floor is lava, never letting our bare feet touch the floor. The maids have no mops on their carts. Only vacuums. Shower and toilet was clean though as were the sheets. My daughters room was the same except a piece of the popcorn ceiling came down, the patio door was a bit wonky and one of the mattresses had a huge brown stain on the corner (looked like dried blood) A dirty washcloth stayed at the bottom of the stairs for 5 days and bleached out chicken bones were seen near the AC units on the second floor landing of building C. The grab and go breakfast was fine and coffee all day was great. Supplying beach chairs to guests was awesome. When we were leaving, we did see a whole new staff coming in for orientation. Maybe they were short staffed and couldn’t clean the property sufficiently. Hoping this takes care of these issues. Biggest thing? Mop the floors guys! And get mattress covers when you hopefully replace old mattresses.

The elevator needs to be worked on for sure. The pool could be better and the bottom hurt my feet. Also the one bag of ice per room per day is absolutely ridiculous. We pay enough here to get more than that.

Hotel needs an upgrade and a really good top to bottom clean. The main door had many cracks and didnt lock properly as well as the linen was never changed and it was very hard to get extra towels as they normally had a wait time. Parking was very limited at times resulting in having to walk through the smoking area to get to the room and the smell of weed was awful. I dont recommend this hotel.

When we checked in, we noticed that the beds were slightly dirty… a few hairs a grain of sand here or there. Every time I check into a room I peel back the sheets and search the room for signs of bedbugs before even bringing my bags up to the room. When I did this, I found that the space between the top sheet and the mattress cover was quite dirty a good amount of sand and dirt and lots of hair. I went to the front desk and explain the situation and the Desk clerk offered to have somebody come switch it all out right away and clean the beds. We agreed. I did have to call a second time as they did not come up right away. It was over 25 minutes. When they took the mattress cover off the second bed, the mattress showed a huge stain. The person cleaning pointed out the stain about the same time that I noticed it. He immediately offered us another room. I looked closely at the stain and then smelled it, and it turned out to be what we believe was just juice. The room was a little bit rundown and I was so focused on the bed so I didn’t notice that the bathroom walls were dirty, particularly in the area right behind where the door opens so it’s somewhat that a cleaner could miss it. The hotel‘s policy of only cleaning every few days is definitely coming back to bite them. The air conditioner was dusty and the filter on it definitely needed changed or cleaned. The safety door latch was coming unscrewed. The price view and location were great and the staff was friendly.

The room was dirty - towels had stains and hair on them along with sheeets. Called to have things addressed and was told the bathroom had to be dealt with in the morning but the front desk girl did come to change the sheets. Still was disgusted and did not enjoy the stay

Check in at 4:00pm. Arrived about 4:30. Arrived to a room we were told was ready but the bathroom was filthy. Long black hairs all over the place and even on the folded "clean" towels. We have light hair. Floor not washed. Tub was dirty. Cabinet had stuff all over it. Walls had mystery splatters. When they restocked towels and toilet paper they left used towels that were on the floor. After feedback the black hair was still in the bathroom and floor unwashed. Very loud with road out front. Sounded like the door was wide open. We left a day early even though the room was paid for. Cheap hotel but did expect basic cleanliness.

This hotel was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The first room they originally gave to us was so dirty I requested a different room and the second one they gave was just as bad. There was hand prints all over the fridge, glass, microwave and mirror. The toilet had what appeared to be vomit or fecal splatter on it and down the side of the tub. Floors still had sand, hair and dirt on them. The previous people must have left their razor and it was still there. I had to go out and buy cleaning products to clean it myself. I wouldn’t ever recommend this place. So unsanitary!!!

Rooms were ok... basic and what we needed. Breakfast was decent and enough. Beach chairs provided was a great touch we didnt realize ahead of tjme. Only major complaint is the dirtiness of the floors. Our feet were black from walking in our room. Definitely didn't seem like they'd been mopped or cleaned at all. Used towels to walk on and they turned black as well. No exaggeration.

We recently stayed here and I have to say, the staff were absolutely wonderful and very accommodating people. Their hospitality really stood out and made us feel welcomed. We booked a suite, and while the layout and idea of the room were great, there were a few things that left us disappointed. The room itself could use some extra attention to cleanliness and maintenance. The carpet left our feet dirty, and we noticed stains (very yellow) on the pillows and mattress (thankfully, we had brought our own pillows). There was also a large gap under the exterior door, which allowed rainwater to come inside and soak the floor during our stay. For safety, the sliding glass door to the balcony didn’t lock, which worried us since we had our little one with us. The safety latch on the main door was also close to broken. Overall, the staff were truly excellent, but the suite itself needs some refreshing and a little extra care to match the warm service. With some updates, this place could be amazing.

It was dingy and dirty. Walls & doors dirty, floors not clean. Base boards falling off. Beddings, especially pillows not fresh. Towels were stained and didn’t look clean. Found used tooth brushes and paper in drawers from previous occupancy. property should be gutted out and completely updated. I did like that it spacious and close proximity to the beach.

The sheets were dirty with stains and hair. I asked for housekeeping to clean the unit but was informed that the units are only cleaned in between guests. The front desk gave me fresh sheets and I had to remake the beds myself. I also went to the store to buy cleaning supplies to clean the unit. The AC units were full of dust. The curtains were filthy. The shower curtain was dirty. The unit was gross.

Went away for a quick weekend. You will get what you pay for here. Lady at the desk had an attitude problem at check in and the second day when I went to ask where they kept the ice. Property has no smoking signs up all over but people smoke constantly. First night we had kids banging on our door and running away up to almost 11 at night. Went to the desk to say something and there was no one anywhere there to be found. Beds are like sleeping on a concrete floor. Showers have no water pressure. I had to fix our showerhead and faucet in the tub because both were loose to the point where they were coming off. Hallways were dirty. Hotel was dirty in general. Only positive was our balcony with a partial ocean view. Just don't book with high expectations as you will be disappointed and the attitude problem at the desk capped it. They know they have issues here, they just aren't interested in fixing them. We go to OCMD yearly and we won't be back here and definitely will not recommend it to anyone.

The ONLY highlight of this hotel was the view of the ocean from our balcony. Our room was dusty, the bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in awhile, stains on the towels and blanket and long hairs found in one of the beds. The phone in our room did not work, and we had to unplug the clock because it was making a weird static like noise throughout the night. We had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper since daily service of our room was nonexistent. When we asked at the front desk, one employee told us that there should be someone cleaning the room every day, yet another employee said we only get service if we request it. The street noise during the night was unbearable and kept us all up. The sound of trucks and motorcycles racing up the street was so loud that it felt like we were camping outside. One night around 2:45 a.m., we heard 6 gunshots outside (also heard by guests next door to us.). The beds were extremely uncomfortable and felt like we were sleeping on the floor. We did NOT feel safe at this hotel at all. We would NEVER stay here again and would NOT recommend this property to anyone.
The ONLY highlight of this hotel was the view of the ocean from our balcony. Our room was dusty, the bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in awhile, stains on the towels and blanket and long hairs found in one of the beds. The phone in our room did not work, and we had to unplug the clock because it was making a weird static like noise throughout the night. We had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper since daily service of our room was nonexistent. I looked for a room precisely with a sofa bed because of the amount adults traveling with us. The sofa bed mattress was not great! We could feel the bed springs. We did not sleep comfortably. Will not be coming back.

Room was very noisy as our door was facing the Main Street. There was a lot of sand in the bathroom when we arrived. But the rest of the room was fine. Front desk and housekeeping staff were very nice and accommodating.

The check in person was unaware that as she checks people in, for the safety of a single female guest, to be a bit more discreet. She was loud asking if anyone else was staying with her and announced her room number for those of us standing there to hear. It was obvious that it made the woman who was checking in prior to me uncomfortable. Then she did the same with me, in front of others. She also inadvertently wrote my wrong room number on my key card. When I called to say I wasn’t able to get in, she informed me that she forgot to give me my DL back during check in. The property location was good, short walk to beach, Nice restaurant next door. Mgmt, Please check that each room has a working safety lock on each door.

I wish I could give negative stars for the staff, one of the maids that cleaned our room stole my wife’s $300 bio ionic 10x pro styling iron (hair straightener/curler) a police report was filed but I’m sure nothing will come of it. Be very curious about staying at this property or any other properties affiliated with this property for that matter. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya

Love the room setup, balcony, and location! Ladies at the front desk were very helpful and kind. Sleeper sofa when opened was full of sand. Housekeeping did not clean our room during our stay. We did ask, however the young lady spoke little English. Love the amenities included with our stay. We will definitely be staying again!

The hotel staff was very friendly and went above and beyond during our stay. We were there for the oceans calling festival, and during the show, my car alarm malfunctioned at the hotel. They troubleshooted with me over the phone and were kind and patient. I was grateful for the support they offered, and we didn’t need to leave the show.

I wanted to stay here again since we stayed last year. This year was very different. The first room we had was a suite, room 522. When we walked in, there was a smell, the sitting chair leather had been peeled off and there was a bug flying around in the room. My daughter didn’t feel comfortable so I went to ask if we could move. The guy was very understanding and moved us to a 2 bedroom, room 511. This room was MUCH better, felt cleaner and smelled better. The next morning, I went to turn in the cards for the previous room and the older woman seemed to had an issue with us having to move. I wish she had the same customer service etiquette as the young man did the night before.

They refused to clean to the room, and we're lucky we even got fresh towels. Getting them to change the sheets was nothing short of a minor miracle, and the only reason we didn't run out of soap was because we took some extras from the housekeeping cart (we asked for them several times and- shockingly- never received them). Location is great, but the staff are somewhat rude and generally unhelpful. Find another place to stay.

As always, Coastal Palms was great! Quieter location away from the craziness of the Boardwalk. Fantastic beach access, and pool was a plus! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and rooms were very nice - don't let the outside of the building fool you!

The hotel room was clean. The bathroom was smaller than we are used to but Lee managed. The elevator is very very slow and there was only one luggage cart for everyone to use however they said they were getting in six new carts the day we were leaving. I thought they had a free hot breakfast but it was a grab and go breakfast with muffins, Bagels, juice and coffee. Overall the stay was good. The beach was close by the hotel.

The location was amazing really close to the beach. Lots to do in the area. Suite was a good size and it was nice having a balcony. There were two outdoor showers to rinse off coming back from beach. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are large and clean. We have three young kids ages all under 9 so the pool was perfect. I liked the fact that we could park the car when we checked in and walk everywhere. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, convenience stores. The free breakfast was an added bonus. Nothing fancy just quick options muffins,bagels,breakfast bars,fruit. Most importantly there was coffee! The walk to the beach was short. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall the hotel was nice ! We had great time. Was dissapointed at the breakfast it was on-the-go breakfast only muffins & banana, apple, coffee, juice (most of them were empty). U gotta go early to get some donuts lol. Overall okay.

motel, not a hotel...old property updated room, clean. owned by carousel group. on main drive, noisy. close enough to beach to walk. decent part of ocmd. Breakfast "on the go" is a joke. coffee sucks. pool is size of a big hot tub in front of road. elevator old and slow. budget motel 2 star type.

I spend a wonderful night for a very reasonable price. The room appeared to be recently remodeled and had brand new mattresses. There is nothing better than a good night's sleep followed by complimentary coffee and muffins to start the day.

Pros: Good location, parking, easy beach walk Cons: Included breakfast consists of a banana, packaged muffins, and bagels (there is no sitting in to eat and not even a bathroom or real lobby; feels like a motel setup not a hotel). Pool is very small. Shower in our room reached scalding level on its own and had to be adjusted constantly. Pillows are not supportive and feel thin and cheap. Despite signs warning of no smoking allowed the elevater smelled of smoke, including Marijuana. Expected more from a 3-star hotel..

Great location great staff. Perfect Beach location.stores are close Wawa and Dunkin next door. The restaurant connected was amazing get the crab stuff lobster. Pool was great,room was big. It was as clean as a beach hotel with that kind of turn over is expected to be.

Very nice property and close to the beach. Bus transportation is available for $4 all day & easy to get around. Only problem was the sink in bathroom water came out very slow. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, the Crabcake Factory next door crabcakes were delicious. I would stay here again.

Stayed here for a music festival that was canceled due to the Nor'easter in Sept of 2026. We couldve asked for a cancelation of the stay but decided to stay in Ocean City for the weekend anyways. Good view of the ocean, great location for our needs but like any beach town hotel, its not going to be a luxury 5-star place but this was actually better than what I thought it would be. Taking away the price raising for events, it definitely was not worth $250 a night and even non event off season rates are $198ish...

Room was clean and stocked. Blanket had a lot of stray strands of hair and sheets had thinning areas from overuse. Staff can just be mindful of those things, they did not negatively affect my stay. We always stay here while in ocean city because the rooms are spacious and a block from the beach front.

Would have probably been great but they would not budge on refunding our money since we could physically not get there due to a Nor’easter. Several roads into OCM were closed. Example: Route 1.
