Scenic Hills Inn

The inn is older. The lower floor has an old carpet that could be replaced because it was smelly. The bathroom was so difficult to turn the water on and off. The entryway from the outside wasn’t secure anyone could just enter without a key. That was strange and made us uncomfortable since it backs up to a wooded area. Breakfast was great. For the price and location which is why I chose it it’s great. It’s in the theater district and close to the main strip.

Arrival - staff was great. Easy check in. Elevator did work, although website says there isn’t one. Our room was on the second floor, you could hear some noise from above but it honestly wasn’t anything I’d even note. Clean room. And actually spacious more spacious than some rooms I’ve spent a ton on. For the money I spent it was definitely a nice place. I will / would stay here again in a heartbeat! Breakfast was decent. Pancakes. Eggs. Biscuit and gravy. Cinnamon rolls. Toast. Muffins. Juices and coffee. We didn’t get to use the pool due to a storm and it’s outside so not open. But people were swimming in it without issues the day before.

We have stayed in this hotel twice. The price is good and the hotel is decent. Has a nice little pool outside that, unfortunately, closes at 9pm. I wish it would stay open until 10 or 11pm. It is an outdoor pool after all. The hotel is older, you can tell from the carpet and the rooms, but its clean and the beds are comfortable. They have a nice hot breakfast in the mornings. Checkout is 11am, thats a plus to me!

Pool wasn’t working looked like it was under repair. Also the room above ours sounded like a playground or someone moving furniture. I never complained to the management so that’s on me

Enjoyed the nice breakfast and very quiet rooms. Not impressed with the sloping parking for handicap people. Very hard getting in and out of our car to use walker and having to climb uphill.

We stayed 16 days at this hotel. The staff were terrific, helpful, friendly and really made us feel at home. Good hot breakfast in the morning and the breakfast room was always clean and presentable. Maid service complete with sheet and linen change was every four days without fail . The whole property was clean and well cared for, making for a very pleasant stay. After 2 weeks I feel that I can offer an expert opinion and recommend this hotel without reservation .

Avoid if you can. We were driving through and needed a place to stop and this was one of the few openings we found. No external security on the doors into the hotel. No overnight staffing. Noisy - you can hear everything from everywhere. It’s a very dated property and rooms feel humid.

Do not like the parking areas!

The pool was beautiful, the breakfast area was very clean and well taken care of. There was a good mix of food choices for breakfast. The front office was spacious and clean. My family and I were only there for 1 night but overall had a pretty good experience. We would and probably will stayat this facility again!

I booked this place based on the reviews and everything turned out to be good. The man at the front desk was super nice at check in. The room was clean with comfortable beds, a t.v., and cold air conditioning- that's all I need. One of the things I was looking forward to was the breakfast based on the reviews that everyone said was good. I was told the breakfast lasted until 9:30. We came to eat breakfast around 9:00. There were about three muffins, two biscuits, and a couple of pieces of sausage left on the breakfast bar. They were not even trying to refill anything for the people that were just now coming in. I saw several people walk in and turn around and leave. Basically, we had coffee and juice and left to go eat our breakfast at Cracker Barrel. I am just saying if you say breakfast is until 9:30 then you should keep the breakfast supply going until 9:30, even if it means you have to keep refilling it! Also, the pool was closed when it was 95 degrees outside. Over all, I would stay here again because the price of the room was good and the room was comfortable.

The room seemed damp and smelled like mildew. The tile in the bathroom was cracked and lifted when you stepped on the floor. The carpet in front of the sink was wet, the tv did not work and the bed was very uncomfortable. After our first night, we checked out and reserved a room at different hotel for the duration of our stay. We do not recommend.

I have stayed here, several times, in the past & never had a problem. This year there were roaches in our room. Staff was very accommodating & moved us to another room and we didn't see any more roaches. The rooms looked clean, but..... I will not stay here again.

Carpet very dirty. Bottom of my feet were black from walking on carpet. Holes in back lining of curtains. Old air conditioning units lying on floor near washer/dryer

There were bugs in both beds. The man at the desk said there were no other rooms. But he did move me. The room they moved me to must be under renovation. The only lights in the room were over the sink and the bathroom light. The breakfast was fair. I will never stay here again.

Everything was clean. Everyone was super friendly. Super EASY stay.

Rooms were very clean

I stayed in room 333 and I couldn’t figure out why I started breaking out with bites on my body and found out I slept in a bed with bedbugs all in it . Yes I am so upset about it ! I hope they take care of that problem so others don’t get eaten up by the bedbugs !

Our room kind of smelled like mildew, but besides that everything was great. The breakfast was awesome, the room and bathroom were spotless, and the staff was great. I think if they changed out the carpet all would be great! I would stay there again!

This was my third stay this summer. Its good for a budget stay however the carpets either need a cleaning or laminate floors because bare feet will get dirty. The other issue is the air unit would not stay cool so the night would get periodically sweaty. They do have new in box units it appears they will be replacing the old ones. It does seem they are trying to make improvements. Staff is friendly, they area is quiet, and the pool was clean. I would stay again.

We stayed 2 days. We enjoyed everything except bed. Had back pain which did not happen at any other hotel we stayed at for our 9-night vacation.

Clean, comfortable reasonably priced hotel. Looks like it has been recently renovated. The room was incredibly quiet. Based on the number of cars, the hotel was pretty full, but I didnt hear any other guests. The only thing I would change would be softer pillows.

The room was spotless and very comfortable, although it does need some updating. The paint on the walls was peeling and the drapery was torn. Staff was very efficient and pleasant. Breakfast had a large selection of items and was hot and very good. Very good value for the price.

Very quiet comfortable hotel. Our room was on the back, on first floor. Entrance was very close, also laundry facilities was convenient. Hot breakfast was good. Wifi was a bit “sketchy” at times, possibly because of the distance our room was from the front desk Staff were very pleasant. We recommend this hotel

I rely heavily on reviews but these reviews do not match our experience. I realize we did not pay a 5-star rate as we were visiting family and just needed a place to sleep but not much sleep happened. The beds were not comfy, the pillows were flat, we could hear toilets flushing from the rooms around us and apparently the back parking lot is where guests go to smoke and talk on the phone which we could overhear thru the thin walls. The bathroom was so small the door barely cleared the toilet. The room was very clean and staff was friendly but for us, the rest was not 10/10 as so many reviews reported.

The motel is a little dated but otherwise it was a good stay. We were on the 1st floor and it sounded like a herd of buffalo above us when someone walked around.

Very good hotel for the price! When I booked, I thought it was a motel, but it is a hotel w/interior corridors. Staff was polite & professional. Check in was easy. Only received 1 room key, but that was all we needed, so I didn't ask for more. Outdoor pool was small, but fine for us. Never saw it busy, just a couple of occasional swimmers. Ample tables & chairs. Towels available inside. Comfy beds, A/C unit worked great. Water pressure in shower not great, but certainly adequate. Fridge in room was larger than most and the freezer portion actually kept our ice packs frozen. No microwave in room, but I saw one in the lobby that I assume is for communal use. Breakfast was adequate. Scrambled eggs, sausage links, cinnamon rolls, non-name brand cereals, yogurt, waffle maker, breads, juices, tea & coffee. Kind staff attending to breakfast. Cleaning staff will come in daily if you don't have the do-not-disturb sign on the door. They made beds, replaced soiled towels, rinsed out tub, & vacuumed. We were excited that the cable TV included TNT for the Stanley Cup playoffs, & our favorite, the Game Show Network! It would be nice if the curtains had a sheer panel to let light in without having the window totally uncovered; there was just one layer (black-out curtains). Some reviewers complained about the small bathroom, but it was fine for us. Bathtub/shower combo & toilet inside separate bathroom. Mirror & sink outside bathroom. Parking lot a bit steep, but more level spots in back.

Ok stay for price. Bed comfortable. Appreciated hot breakfast eggs and sausage , but needed fresh fruit. Could hear person walking above our 227 room before bed time. Very noisy squeaking for half an hour. Other than that the room was very clean and our stay was enjoyable.

Check in was very quick and easy with friendly staff. Room was clean although dated along with hotel, but was fine for why we were in Branson. Comfortable and quiet as well. Easy to get to and close to everything without dealing with lots of traffic and congestion. Like many mentioned in reviews I read the breakfast was good and no one left hungry. Includes sausage, scrambled eggs (were not powdery or super wet), biscuits (fluffy, soft, not dry) & gravy, plus standard hotel assortment of cereal, pastries, yogurt, coffee & juice. Even had flavored creamer for coffee which I love when places offer that instead of only half & half. It’s the small things 🙂.

For an older property, it's well kept. Their breakfast is good, would like to see some fruit. We would like to compliment on Kelly. She IS a worker. She was right there wiping tables the the breakfast area. As SOON as someone left, she was right there, not only wiping the tables, but the chairs, topside and underneath. The walls next to tables. Constantly cleaning the food area. We were VERY IMPRESSED !!! THANK YOU KELLY !!!!!

The management of this hotel is incredibly rude. I did not appreciate them being rude to me and also making my 12-year-old cry just because he needed a key management told him they would not be opening the door or giving him a key and he could not get to his room

We have stayed here a few time. This stay we didn’t arrive until almost 1am from our travels. The hotel made sure to arrange a way to get in our room quickly when we got there. The front desk staff is always the kindest! We will continue to come back.

I stay here more than any other hotel in Branson. The owners are very nice, the hotel is clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast is good. I highly recommend.

This place is great for the budget minded traveler. You can stay in Branson for not a lot of money and every attraction is pretty much nearby. It is in a great location. The pool is also very well maintained and clean. Parking is super easy, and there are lots of parking spaces. Check in was easy with a friendly desk clerk. Breakfast was great and also had a very friendly and helpful attendant. We had an issue with our door not latching shut and they came and fixed it right away, with no delay. It was very quiet- we heard no noise from the hall or from other rooms or guests. We had easy access to the room. The room was stocked with clean towels and soap, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and clean. Pillows were great. We experienced two issues though- our daughter was near foot and her feet turned black from walking on the carpet, the carpet was not clean, we had to wear shoes to go to the bathroom at night. Also, one morning about 9:30, we had the do not disturb sign on the door, and house keeping knocked, and then unlocked the door and tried to come in! With the do not disturb sign on the outside of the door! My minor daughter was in the process of getting dressed in the room while I was in the bathroom at that time. Not cool. We had the inside lock latched so they were not able to open the door thankfully, but that was scary to be in an indisposed position and people trying to come in with the do not disturb sign on the door.

I'll be honest. I didn't actually stay here this time but I have several other times. I however did pay for it with a non-refundable reservation. I would say it is an average economy hotel which is why I gave it an average score. But, the day we were supposed to leave to come to Branson a family member passed away. I contacted the hotel as soon as I found out. I then received a call later that day asking when my estimated arrival time would be and I again explained that we had a death in the family and would be unable to come. I understood that it was nonrefundable but was there any way we could change our dates? They said since I booked with Hotels.com I would have to contact them. I did contact Hotels.com and they were super nice and understanding they said they would call the Hotel on my behalf and see if there was any way they could wave the penalty and get my trip rescheduled. Well they did call and said that they unfortunately couldn't get the hotel to budge and that I would be billed for the entire stay. Again, not saying I wanted my money back but to refuse to reschedule even if they billed the 1st night was ridiculous. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times but it will go to the bottom of my list as there are so many really great hotels in Branson. Just know that when tragedy strikes they do not care!

We accidentally misplaced our key. As I was looking for the key, I had my 12 year-old go call the front desk as I searched in our car nearby. I then found him crying. He said the front desk lady who he called said we would not be getting a key they weren’t there on site and was so rude. He started crying. I then called the front desk. They were extremely rude. Then they ended up charging me for not one but two keys just for borrowing it, I travel quite a few places and I’ve never experienced such rudeness at a hotel.

Besides the well-kept condition of this motel and the excellent hot breakfast, I like the location - very close to Sight & Sound Theater, which is my main reason for coming to Branson!

I really liked the location of where the hotel was not to far from everything but yet far enough from all the noise & crowds. I really appreciated that when we had an issue of noise from ppl above us it was addressed immediately.

Nice hotel on outskirts of Branson. Not too far to go in a taxi and reasonable price, less than staying downtown. Decent check in and room. Not much around the hotel itself, there was a sports bar just down the hill but it looks recently closed down. Would stay again.

Close to the sight and sound show

We love staying here! Staff is always friendly rooms clean and it’s a lil off the beaten path but still close to everything. The breakfast is amazing!

Convient to all the events

Property is at the west end of the main strip. Easy access to Silver Dollar City, Shepherd of the Hills and Tablerock lake.

The free breakfast was nice and saved some money. Also, we were very close to the Amish store and Sight and Sound along with some other attractions. A good value for the money.

This property was great for the price. They had hot water, great mattresses, NO BEDBUGS, and a delicious hot breakfast with homemade cinnamon rolls. It was not a continental breakfast either.

Pancakes were good. No fresh fruit. Very few items were available with 2 hours still to go.

Everything was fine, especially for the price. Not sure if I would book them for a long stay, but they were great for our quick overnight trip. The breakfast attendant was very nice and was working very hard to keep everything stocked.

Room was cold when we arrived. Breakfast was disappointing. Gravy was very watered down. Eggs were watery. Cinnamon rolls were very good. Appreciated House Keeping came every day with new towels and emptied trash.
