I was disappointed as the wet area was closed ( pool & hot tub ) that was actually the complete purpose for my stay but oh well !

Pool & hot tub out of service, was not informed of this at time of booking stay. Informed of closure at 10 pm when checking in. Too late to find another hotel. TV in room did not work. Breakfast in the morning was terrible. Based on very poor, disappointing stay experience, requested refund but hotel refused. I will not stay at this hotel again

Pool was out of order and the elevator was out of order.

Stay was way overpriced. Hotel was dirty. Hallways were stained. Furniture was stained towels were stained. Blankets were stained. Furniture was old and used. Hot tub was broken and boarded up with a plywood pool was dirty. I would never stay there again.

Hot tub always seems to be down for repairs or is it even being repaired????

The hot tub has been closed for months now, One is to assume that they are not going to repair it. The breakfast is mediocre at best. The rooms are OK! It’s funny how these hotels take away their amenities and yet they still want full price for the stay !

Pool was dirty hot tub broken and parking lot full of materials. Looks like it’s going through remodel so many be better soon.

Pool seems to be out of order a lot at this location

The rooms were very good. There were some things when you walk in that had out of order signs on them. Either fix them or remove the item broken. The pop machine had old bottles showing as samples. Does not make it look very good. It made me wonder if the pops were good. I usually pay with cash. When we got there they did not accept cash luckily i had enough on my card. Usually they do accept cash. If they don’t it should be indicated when making reservations. The entrance was nice but seemed cluttered not professional. But it was a pleasant stay.

No hot water pool and hot tub was nasty vending machines take your money

The entire place just smells like someone’s basement. It’s unbearable. The hallways smell like mold the rooms are especially worse, to the point it took my breath away. My sister woke up all 3 nights with sore throat and stuffy nose from what we are pretty sure was mold in the stale air. The carpet felt moist from all the humidity in the room, everything was damp to the touch. It was BAD!! We also saw a roach crawling around but didn’t see anymore after we killed the one.

There was mold in various places in our room. Our room smelled of feces when we walked in. The lock on our door was broken, the breakfast was limited options and what they did have, while it was supposed to be warm, was cold.

Very dirty, Smelled, bedding was dirty and bugs in the rooms.

Hotel room was absolutely disgusting. Sheets had poop stains on them. Walls were banged up with holes and marks everywhere. Door did not shut properly. I could stick my fingers through the holes of the closed door. The lock on the door didn't work. Toilet continued to run. Floor didnt seem to be vacuumed.

Room was super hot when entering. Bathroom had ants climbing all over the tub. Beds were uncomfortable.

Tired hotel inside, pretty sure someones given up on landscaping outside. Rates jacked WAY up because of high demand for a NASCAR race. Mold on bathroom ceiling, tv remote didnt work, weird smell in hallway. Assigned room torn up w a contractor working in it so was put in a different room. Smoking station is 3' from the front door.

They had bed bugs and I was bitten twice beforei realizedwhat was happeningto my arm. They moved me to another room but i did not sleep at all after that. Literally stayed up until the sun rose for 2 nights straight. I was soo paranoid.

The room could use some updating, torn couch and worn ottoman. There was no cold water in the bathroom

The bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve slept in on a long time. We did stay during the ice storm and no one had de iced the parking lot yet which was unfortunate and the parking lot is very small with not really any parking around. The door had a large gap down the side and bottom of it to where we just put a blanket across the bottom to hide the light and sound. For the most part it was a decent stay. Close to many food places and shopping and easy to get around.

The price was right and the employees were friendly, but we will not be going back. The room smelled musty, and the walls were paper thin (we could even hear conversations in the next room). The remote control didn’t work, nor did the hairdryer. The bedding and the bathrooms were clean, but they showed their age. This was a case of getting what we paid for, I guess.

Very close to the fairgrounds where my event was located. Bed was comfortable for me. Check in was very pleasant. Nice PM staff at the desk. The temperature controls didn't work but at least it wasn't too hot in the room. No TV listing in the room.

Walking into the room it smelled very bad, mixture of cigarette smell and other smells. And clean the filters in the air conditioning unit and smell eventually went away. AC unit must not have been draining properly room got extremely humid during the night. Made for an uncomfortable sleep. Other than those two things nice place to stay would probably stay again.

On the web site it said double beds, I guess because it was two full size beds (small) expecting queen size based on pic of in website and a pull out bed. Furniture need to be updated a bit rundown. We were two adults with four children and it was a bit tight in the room but we made it work. Will not be staying there again.

The staff. The staff was the best. Friendly helpful.

Check in took 20 minutes. When we finally got checked n, there was no remote for the TV. Went to the desk, girl that just checked me in accused me of stealling the remote the night before Then, after getting a remote, found that the tv didn't work. TV wasn't fixed until the following evening

Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Staff was beyond nice and accommodating and friendly. They were slammed and had several issues (none for us, thankfully) but never once got short or nasty with the other guests. I would stay there again.

The owner/manager is the absolute worst type of person to be in his position. Hangs up on customers and refuses to take phone calls. He will not help solve issues or even attempt to have a conversation about issues. Absolutely the worst hotel i have ever come across in my life!!! Choice hotel brand should be ashamed to be associated with this gentleman!!

The staff was professional and helpful

I paid extra for a suite with Two beds and a couch and they out me in just a regular room . The door bell they have for after hours doesn’t work and when you call the hotel no one answers . This hotel used to be a great value and a decent pace to stay but I think it has changed hands and they just don’t care anymore .

We were provided a key to room, went to open room and someone was already in the room. The people there had a dog and the dog attacked my elderly grandmother. The owner of the pet was upset at us because we were able to access their room, but it was not our fault. The owner of the pet thought we were trying to get their pet put down, was yelling at us and staff. All we wanted to as our room. Staff had to accompany myself and my grandma to another room to make sure it wasn’t occupied. Staff was apologetic, and tried to make sure things went smooth, but the process itself was super inconvenient and dangerous. You never know how people are going to react if you are able to access occupied rooms due to faulty systems.

I have mixed emotions about this location, but overall the new staff is pretty professional and well trained.

This is exactly what I look for in a budget hotel. No bells and whistles, but they do the basic stuff really well. Clean, efficient staff, and good plumbing.

Exceeded my expectations. Location to State fair excellent. Enjoyed having a safe. The pool pleasant. Overall, the hotel could have a refresh updated look, but I found it perfect, as was the staff.

We could not find the entrace. We had to walk around the building to find it should have had a entrance sign. It is an old old building needs updates. Rooms were okay the lampshades were extremely dusty very noticeable. But the bathrooms were clean and the overall cleanliness was okay. The motel was right across the street from the fairgrounds so that was very convenient for us so we were able to go to the fair and enjoy the day. Easy check in and out.

It’s a non-smoking hotel but the rooms week of smoke. Hotel is old and rundown and not well cared for anymore. There were people hanging out in the hallways. Cleanliness is not well-maintained throughout the hotel. Elevator is old and creaky. Did not feel safe outside in the parking lot. There were only two good things about the hotel – its location to where I needed to go was convenient. And they had a cat that they take care of right outside the front entrance of the hotel. The cat looks to be well taken care of, the staff care about him. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Everything was great. The breakfast was good, BUT we didnt get to enjoy it on outlr second day (Saturday) because she was 30min late setting up. Only other complaint is please get a second mirror in rooms. When mire than one person need to get ready for the day only having ONE mirror INSIDE the bathroom is nit conducive.

The beds were horribly uncomfortable. The free breakfast was a joke. Got down there to eat and the gravy in the crockpot was cold. We were going to just microwave it instead but the microwave didn't work. There was a sign hung up on the wall stating where the fuse box was located and what fuse to turn back on. I couldn't find this fuse box. Another couple was there and went and got staff and he came out but had no idea how to fix it. We ended up having to go to another place to get breakfast. We chose this place due to the convince of breakfast, so that was pointless.

Good breakfast for a budget stay. Clean but older facility. Surprised to hear noisy trucks and motorcycle during the night.

The staff was extremely friendly and the room was clean along with everything working as it should. The pool and hot tub where available until 10pm which was super convenient and breakfast was delicious!

I called before booking to make sure pool was working. When I went to check in there was a sign stating pool was closed I told them to give me a minute to see if I could find another place to stay so I walked to my car and checked my bank account and they had already put a hold on my card for the 4 day stay so I went back in and told the guy.i was like um I never checked in and you already put a hold on my card now I can’t look for another place to stay cuz I can’t access that money I was told o sorry. So I’m pissed and said it looks like I have to stay now and was told don’t worry we will credit you back half your money,,well there were tons of other issues with bugs,ants, mold and the pot smoke that filled the whole hotel. Again when checking out I was told give them till Monday afternoon to refund me half my money back and to call if I didn’t see the refund,,,well guess what no refund made several call over the week and finally got word that the big boss said he would be nice and give me $50 back, which I still have not got and it’s been a month, I only book this hotel cuz of the pool and location cuz we’re celebrating my daughter birthday and attending the Iowa horse fair, so I had 3 very disappointed teenagers that couldn’t swim.. I could go on and on about this place I’ve stayed here for 3 years in a row but I guess it’s under new owners and I guess they don’t care, even served cold,rotten food at breakfast so sad

The room was clean, but old. The bathroom was clean. The breakfst the next day was excellent. The staff wss very friendly. It needs updating, but it was a good motel for us.

in-ternet showed a hot tub but it was permanently closed and had very little at breakfast they said bigger breakfast was only on weekends very very disappointing
