What really made the stay great was the staff and the food, which was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, I had to wait a couple of hours before being able to get my room 6pm instead of 2pm. They were nice enough to invite me to a complimentary buffet dinner for compensation, which was useless as I was staying on a half-board basis. Dinner was already included. The room was a big disappointment because I was hoping for a seaview, as I had chosen the specific seaview room. What I got, was a view of the air-conditioning units of the next building, making noise and making it impossible to enjoy the balcony. Once standing on the balcony though, I was able to have a view of the sea by looking on my left... I think that there should be more room categories, because for the seaview category, you can get anything from a small room with partial view to a large room with full view. It is a lotery on which you bet the rate you're going to pay anyway. The hotel is nice, but some parts a run down and not well maintained (garden and stairs on the left of the hotel). For a 250USD night rate, I am not enthusiastic enough to recommend the hotel. If you can catch a better rate and secure one of the room with full view, then it might be a good option.

Andaman is a beautiful place to be and it’s super safe too.. and on top of that people are very nice and polite.. so scenic beauty, fresh air and with good people around you, one can’t ask for more.. the welcom by itc, this property is very well Located and the ocean view from our room made it Look more beautiful, one gets the ocean in the background from swimming pool too.. so rooms were nice, breakfast area was rather smaller for its reputation, but no complaints.. staff and their service is really nice.. the entire island is a treat for city people..

This property was very nice in location and the view of the sea very beautiful. I was surprised that the power went off a fair few times but came back on quickly. Geeta at the Travel Desk was awesome and extremely helpful in every way.

Can update the hotel a lot. Room curtains are not clean & not hung properly. The lace curtains were terrible. But the all the Staff are so good.

This was my second visit to the Andamans, and honestly, this hotel didn’t live up to the expectations. Wouldn’t stay here again.

This property was very nice in location and the view of the sea very beautiful. I was surprised that the power went off a fair few times but came back on quickly. Geeta at the Travel Desk was awesome and extremely helpful in every way.

Stayed at ITC Welcomhotel, Port Blair, for 2 nights. The staff was nice and the service was on time, but the overall experience was disappointing. We were first given Room 104, which had a clogged bathroom drain. Got shifted to Room 112 – cleaner, but no view at all, even though the adjacent rooms had a great view. What really made the stay great was the staff and the food, which was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, I had to wait a couple of hours before being able to get my room 6pm instead of 2pm. They were nice enough to invite me to a complimentary buffet dinner for compensation, which was useless as I was staying on a half-board basis. Dinner was already included. The room was a big disappointment because I was hoping for a seaview, as I had chosen the specific seaview room. What I got, was a view of the air-conditioning units of the next building, making noise and making it impossible to enjoy the balcony. Once standing on the balcony though, I was able to have a view of the sea by looking on my left... I think that there should be more room categories, because for the seaview category, you can get anything from a small room with partial view to a large room with full view. It is a lotery on which you bet the rate you're going to pay anyway. The hotel is nice, but some parts a run down and not well maintained (garden and stairs on the left of the hotel). For a 250USD night rate, I am not enthusiastic enough to recommend the hotel. If you can catch a better rate and secure one of the room with full view, then it might be a good option.

Andaman is a beautiful place to be and it’s super safe too.. and on top of that people are very nice and polite.. so scenic beauty, fresh air and with good people around you, one can’t ask for more.. the welcom by itc, this property is very well Located and the ocean view from our room made it Look more beautiful, one gets the ocean in the background from swimming pool too.. so rooms were nice, breakfast area was rather smaller for its reputation, but no complaints.. staff and their service is really nice.. the entire island is a treat for city people..

The tall thin light skinned guy at the front desk tried to scam us into inferior rooms even though we paid extra for the bay view rooms. He was racist, rude and kept shouting at my parents and I (we are of Indian origin) until my white husband showed up and then we suddenly had no trouble getting the rooms we paid for. The amount of racism I faced in a hotel in my own home country would have been funny if it did not make me so angry. Also, they have a 'Travel Desk' run by someone called Xavier that charges more than double the rate for car rentals anywhere else in Port Blair. We also ended up getting food poisoning, likely because the kitchen was unsanitary. The rest of the staff (other than ones at the front desk) were sweet and the property was pretty. Definitely not coming back, and I am considering lodging a complaint through the embassy.

We liked the services provided by the staff. All were very helpful from check in to check out. Particular mention should be done for the staff at the Bayleaf Cafe: executive chef Javed, and his assistants Saurav and Suresh. Pranjali and Anima helped us in printing out our plane tickets.

Buffet spread was very average for both dinner and breakfast, thought the staff was able to provide additional items on demand. Sea view from the room was good. Overall it wasn't a great value for money.

I use the bar and I use the restaurants. The staff was very attentive and good. The hotel needs some refurbishing! I can’t really say that it’s dirty, but it just needs some refurbishing.

It is a lotery on which you bet the rate you're going to pay anyway. The hotel is nice, but some parts a run down and not well maintained (garden and stairs on the left of the hotel). For a 250USD night rate, I am not enthusiastic enough to recommend the hotel. If you can catch a better rate and secure one of the room with full view, then it might be a good option.
What really made the stay great was the staff and the food, which was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, I had to wait a couple of hours before being able to get my room 6pm instead of 2pm. They were nice enough to invite me to a complimentary buffet dinner for compensation, which was useless as I was staying on a half-board basis. Dinner was already included. The room was a big disappointment because I was hoping for a seaview, as I had chosen the specific seaview room. What I got, was a view of the air-conditioning units of the next building, making noise and making it impossible to enjoy the balcony. Once standing on the balcony though, I was able to have a view of the sea by looking on my left... I think that there should be more room categories, because for the seaview category, you can get anything from a small room with partial view to a large room with full view.
