We walked in the door and fell in love with this place immediately. It has the vibe of a rustic mountain getaway, but the decor is fresh and there are tons of nice little touches throughout. The owners have given so much thought to making it comfortable, convenient and attractive. The kitchen was well-stocked with basics as well as plenty of extras. If you're not sure, contact the owner. He was very responsive, usually answering questions within the hour. The neighborhood was quiet during our visit. Seems like there's a mix of full and part-timers. The outdoor spaces are terrific--porch with a hammock, deck for dining, and a fire-it with chairs. Beds were super comfy, as were all the linens. Great Wifi. It's a perfect place to relax and unwind. We look forward to a return visit.

Extremely clean , well-stocked, quiet cabin within short distance of fantastic hiking. Great outdoor spaces for morning coffee or evening marshmallows! Our hosts were very responsive but not intrusive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I absolutely loved our 4-night stay at the Golden Ridge Cabin. This was the best thought-out vacation rental we have seen yet. The drawers/cabinets and switches were all clearly labeled. We brought our own cookware and whatnot but didn't use them because all kitchen gadgets and doodads were already present! The furniture was comfy and just right for the space. We spent many hours in the screened porch reading and playing games. The hammock was a great idea, we're going to hang one in our own screened porch now too! There are lights and fans, was very nice out there day and night, in sunny weather and the rain. The birds and the trees blowing in the wind were quite relaxing. We would definitely come back to this cabin. Highly recommend booking a stay.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for 4 days during spring break. The cabin is beautiful and fully stocked with extra amenities to make it feel like home. The screened in porch was great for relaxing and we enjoyed the hammock. The kitchen is a good size, beds were very comfortable, the living room was spacious. We highly recommend this property! Kurtis was very attentive as well making sure we had everything we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed the "Allegheny Special" train ride (Buckingham Branch Railroad), the Nu-Beginnings Farm Store in Staunton, and the Friendly City Food Co-op in Harrisonburg. Next time we're back, we want to check out Ruby's Arcade and the White Oak Lavender Farm and Vineyard.Overall, we would highly recommend Golden Ridge Cabin!

The cabin is a gem. It's super clean and cozy, and feels really secluded. The kitchen is well organized with plenty of materials, the living room offers a variety of games and entertainment for different group sizes and personalities, and the owners are very prompt and responsive. They even included a little white noise unit in the bedroom, which we didn't use but is something that stood out as a completely unnecessary but totally fitting touch that shows they pay attention to detail. I already mentioned the cleanliness, but it really was impressive just how clean they kept the property given it's in the middle of the woods.Important note: definitely pay attention to the entrance instructions they send you ahead of time! The direction that the GPS wants to take you is a bit precarious (we decided to check it out on our way out and I don't think it was worth it). I'm very grateful they warned us ahead of time because their alternate path is much better.

This VRBO-friendly cabin was perfect for a couple (or two) to enjoy woodsy seclusion while working remotely. WiFi was fast and reliable. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and eating in, and cabin was even stocked with wood for the fire pit. During our stay, a large tree fell over the road while we were out. I contacted the owner and there was a crew there the next morning (on a Sunday) to remove it. Road leading up to the cabin was unpaved and narrow so took a little getting used to. Only letdown - neighborhood was not walking friendly and I was hoping for more trails close by (but did find one). Overall, we had a very pleasant week.

We had at great time at the golden ridge cabin. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and playing cards out on the screened in porch. We love to cook, and the cabin has most everything you could possibly need. We watched movies, and sometimes just took in an afternoon nap. It was very nice and peaceful. We are already talking about how nice it would be in the winter months. I would recommend this cabin if you want to unplug and relax.

My wife and I live in the suburbs of NYC, and we would both say we like more urban environments. This cabin was a wonderful place to disconnect from it all. From the moment we stepped through the door, we felt the warmth of the rustic but beautiful interior, including the screened in porch which provided the ability to enjoy the sounds, smells and sights of the very wooded environment without the bugs. Check in and check out process was flawless, the cabin was very clean and well stocked, and the beds and furniture very comfortable. It’s also close to whatever we needed—shopping in Harrisonburg (just 15 minutes away), or hiking in the woods. Highly recommend!

We had the absolute best time at this cabin. A small group of us wanted to get away and do absolutely nothing but curl up with a blanket, and read. We moved from the (extremely comfortable) couch, to the hammock on the screened porch, then to the chairs by the fire, it couldn’t have been more perfect. The interior was what sold me; it’s cozy, chic, warm, and perfectly tucked away in the woods. This trip will always hold a special place in my heart.

What a lovely cabin only 15-20 minutes from Harrisonburg. The cabin is rustic (in the way you want a cabin to be rustic) with so many charming details- from the little coffee nook to the outdoor string lights. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. We hope to book again!

We had a totally wonderful stay at Golden Ridge Cabin! The cabin is so thoughtfully appointed; every detail is charming! It was stocked with all things we needed to make our time there comfortable and it is one of the cleanest rentals I have ever stayed at--not a small feat in the woods! The Rawley Springs location is perfect. I loved being walkable to the springs and having sweet Harrisonburg just a short and easy drive away. I hope we will be back!

Took my wife and 3-month-old here for a two night stay. We loved the cozy feel and the gas fireplace was a winner. Everything was clean and really well curated. Appreciate the attention to detail. Looking forward to coming back!

This was the perfect weekend getaway that we so needed! The cabin is cozy, welcoming, and quiet while still offering "creature comforts," such as TV, WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, etc. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, flatware, and cookware, and the gas stove is fabulous. Whomever decorated the cabin has great taste! Kurt, one of the hosts, was very communicative and helpful before, during, and after our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the "Allegheny Special" train ride (Buckingham Branch Railroad), the Nu-Beginnings Farm Store in Staunton, and the Friendly City Food Co-op in Harrisonburg. Next time we're back, we want to check out Ruby's Arcade and the White Oak Lavender Farm and Vineyard.Overall, we would highly recommend Golden Ridge Cabin!

My wife and I live in the suburbs of NYC, and we would both say we like more urban environments. This cabin was a wonderful place to disconnect from it all. From the moment we stepped through the door, we felt the warmth of the rustic but beautiful interior, including the screened in porch which provided the ability to enjoy the sounds, smells and sights of the very wooded environment without the bugs. Check in and check out process was flawless, the cabin was very clean and well stocked, and the beds and furniture very comfortable. It’s also close to whatever we needed—shopping in Harrisonburg (just 15 minutes away), or hiking in the woods. Highly recommend!

Took my wife and 3-month-old here for a two night stay. We loved the cozy feel and the gas fireplace was a winner. Everything was clean and really well curated. Appreciate the attention to detail. Looking forward to coming back!

We had the absolute best time at this cabin. A small group of us wanted to get away and do absolutely nothing but curl up with a blanket, and read. We moved from the (extremely comfortable) couch, to the hammock on the screened porch, then to the chairs by the fire, it couldn’t have been more perfect. The interior was what sold me; it’s cozy, chic, warm, and perfectly tucked away in the woods. This trip will always hold a special place in my heart.

We had a totally wonderful stay at Golden Ridge Cabin! The cabin is so thoughtfully appointed; every detail is charming! It was stocked with all things we needed to make our time there comfortable and it is one of the cleanest rentals I have ever stayed at--not a small feat in the woods! The Rawley Springs location is perfect. I loved being walkable to the springs and having sweet Harrisonburg just a short and easy drive away. I hope we will be back!

The cabin is a gem. It's super clean and cozy, and feels really secluded. The kitchen is well organized with plenty of materials, the living room offers a variety of games and entertainment for different group sizes and personalities, and the owners are very prompt and responsive. They even included a little white noise unit in the bedroom, which we didn't use but is something that stood out as a completely unnecessary but totally fitting touch that shows they pay attention to detail. I already mentioned the cleanliness, but it really was impressive just how clean they kept the property given it's in the middle of the woods.Important note: definitely pay attention to the entrance instructions they send you ahead of time! The direction that the GPS wants to take you is a bit precarious (we decided to check it out on our way out and I don't think it was worth it). I'm very grateful they warned us ahead of time because their alternate path is much better.

It was everything we expected, peaceful, relaxing; just what was needed for my daughter and I to unwind and reset ourselves. Our first night we had a small problem with the power, but our host responded in a timely manner and checked in with us to make sure we didnt have any other issues. This VRBO-friendly cabin was perfect for a couple (or two) to enjoy woodsy seclusion while working remotely. WiFi was fast and reliable. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and eating in, and cabin was even stocked with wood for the fire pit. During our stay, a large tree fell over the road while we were out. I contacted the owner and there was a crew there the next morning (on a Sunday) to remove it. Road leading up to the cabin was unpaved and narrow so took a little getting used to. Only letdown - neighborhood was not walking friendly and I was hoping for more trails close by (but did find one). Overall, we had a very pleasant week.

We found the cabin as described, very clean, comfortable beds, lots of games, plenty of basic household items supplied. Two problems: we couldn't find the turn off from Rt 33 and called Jessica who guided us in - hopefully owner will correct that. Secondly, we were told the cistern system (water) was low and to bring drinking water. There was no running water at all. The owner comped the first night and said water would be coming. When we chose to leave in the morning, owner refunded all and was very nice about it. We're sorry we had the misfortune to experience this.

We enjoyed our week at Golden Ridge Cabin. It’s rustic but has been renovated to include modern amenities and furnishings. The cabin was very clean, a comfortable bed, and the area was very quiet. A short walk or drive to the bottom of the neighborhood takes you to a great river for swimming and a short trail into GW National Forest. Other trails, attractions, grocery stores, restaurants, etc are at least a 15 mile drive but the surrounding farmland makes the drive pleasant.

After an exciting holiday season I was looking forward to spending a few days alone in the quiet woods. This cabin was the perfect place. My only recommendation to anyone else, if there is a heavy snow then you will need a truck to get to the property because it is on the top of a hill. You can park at the bottoms of the hill and walk .2miles up, but the neighbors are pretty protective of the space and threatened to two my car. After explaining that my car belongs there, they were nice enough to let it stay :)

What can I say? We loved our weekend stay at the Golden Ridge Cabin. The house is better than advertised, filled with great taste and a delightfully cozy mountain vibe. Oh, and a fully stocked kitchen! What more can you ask? We will be coming back and recommending it to friends and family. We are so happy that we have found this gem. Thank you for everything!

Husband and I went up with our goldendoodle, Cheryl and had a wonderful stay at the Golden Ridge Cabin. They had all the necessities there from Coffee to Toiletries. We had a wonderful time as it is close to many of the towns, hiking trails, and scenic views. The beds were comfortable and amenities are refreshing after a long day of adventuring in the great outdoors. Very nice kitchen set up, so if you decided to do a staycation at the cabin you could 100% cook all your meals at the cabin too. Would highly recommend checking this place out, but you definitely need an SUV or All-Terrain vehicle as the entirety of the roads to access the cabin are gravel, just as an FYI.

We brought our own cookware and whatnot but didn't use them because all kitchen gadgets and doodads were already present! The furniture was comfy and just right for the space. We spent many hours in the screened porch reading and playing games. The hammock was a great idea, we're going to hang one in our own screened porch now too! There are lights and fans, was very nice out there day and night, in sunny weather and the rain. The birds and the trees blowing in the wind were quite relaxing. We would definitely come back to this cabin. Highly recommend booking a stay.

The kitchen was well equipped, and we especially appreciated the bottle of olive oil on the counter, since we’d forgotten ours! There was plenty of space, both indoors and out. We thoroughly enjoyed the "Allegheny Special" train ride (Buckingham Branch Railroad), the Nu-Beginnings Farm Store in Staunton, and the Friendly City Food Co-op in Harrisonburg. Next time we're back, we want to check out Ruby's Arcade and the White Oak Lavender Farm and Vineyard.Overall, we would highly recommend Golden Ridge Cabin!
This was the perfect weekend getaway that we so needed! The cabin is cozy, welcoming, and quiet while still offering "creature comforts," such as TV, WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, etc. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, flatware, and cookware, and the gas stove is fabulous. Whomever decorated the cabin has great taste! Kurt, one of the hosts, was very communicative and helpful before, during, and after our stay. The cabin is a gem. It's super clean and cozy, and feels really secluded. The kitchen is well organized with plenty of materials, the living room offers a variety of games and entertainment for different group sizes and personalities, and the owners are very prompt and responsive. They even included a little white noise unit in the bedroom, which we didn't use but is something that stood out as a completely unnecessary but totally fitting touch that shows they pay attention to detail. I already mentioned the cleanliness, but it really was impressive just how clean they kept the property given it's in the middle of the woods.Important note: definitely pay attention to the entrance instructions they send you ahead of time! The direction that the GPS wants to take you is a bit precarious (we decided to check it out on our way out and I don't think it was worth it). I'm very grateful they warned us ahead of time because their alternate path is much better.

We had at great time at the golden ridge cabin. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and playing cards out on the screened in porch. We love to cook, and the cabin has most everything you could possibly need. We watched movies, and sometimes just took in an afternoon nap. It was very nice and peaceful. We are already talking about how nice it would be in the winter months. I would recommend this cabin if you want to unplug and relax.

We loved this cabin and would definitely return again. The hosts were very communicative and the cabin is well-stocked. We watched the sunrise from the screened in porch and had lots of cozy time in front of the fireplace. A perfect getaway for us and our nature-loving dogs!

My trip started off rough — I was in a car accident on the way to the cabin — but the hosts at Golden Cabin Ridge were so kind and understanding. The cabin was peaceful, beautifully designed, and perfectly tucked away for a relaxing escape. Despite how it began, the weekend turned into exactly what I needed. I’ll definitely be back — this place might just be my go-to getaway!
