this is a fantastic stop for the camino. It's directly across the street from the actual trail. it is beautiful from the window to look out over the ocean. what I did not like was there was no staff on-site, no real way to communicate with them. They finally did send me an email at about three o'clock. Letting me know how to get into the facility. you have to have a four digit code supplied by the hotel. But since there's no one there, you have to rely on them. Sending this to you either in your email or through your booking reservation. it's an easy walk back into town to find restaurants. That part was okay like I said the frustrating part for me was not being able to access the room easily until after being notified by somebody via email. Just a bit strange for my normal.

Nos hicieron hacer el checkin antes de llegar, siendo la reserva "cancelable", al llegar, habia moscas en la habitacion. Intentamos abrir ventanas para ventilar y sacar las moscas y no hubo forma. Se le informo por whatsapp al alojamiento y se intento que nos devolviesen el dinero. Ellos nos reenviaron a Expedia y como ya estaba el checkin hecho expedia se lavo las manos. UN DESASTRE

There was initial disagreement over how many rooms we had booked that would have been resolved quickly if a representative of the hotel were on premises. Host, who could be reached only by phone, insisted that AC worked in the hotel, when it did not. Once resolved, the AC stopped sometime in middle of night. On positive note, public spaces and guest rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the hotel is just steps from the ocean. Certainly not the fault of the hotel, but there is no Uber or Lyft service in the area, and the main part of A Guarda is up a long hill, facts to consider if you are on foot.
