Great location. Staff are really nice. Love the rooftop pool. The downstairs pool is nice and cold, with swim up bar. Room where big and bathrooms too. Breakfast as ok but filling. Would stay again. Very convenient with own shop and all.

Good location, needs some renovations/maintence. Staff always friendly and helpful. Music in bar area needs to be a little softer as too loud for small area and cannot talk without shouting.

Room was spacious and bali clean. Good shower with hot water. Room cleaned daily with fresh towels. 2 pools upstairs and down. Staff very froendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. For the price i would recommend

The Champlung Mas hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of Legian, near to a varying type of facilities such as shops, deli's, restaurants, money changes, bars etc. It is close enough to walk to these places but far enough away to be able to get away from it. The ground floor pool is good, however the top floor poll is too open and is not kept in a decent condition. And is difficult to get to. The breakfast of toast, fruit, cakes, Indonesian foods, bacon, eggs etc is one of the best I have experienced in my 30 plus visits to Bali. The rooms are clean, although a little worn out. The curtains need to be thicker as too much light comes in from the street at night. I would probably stay at this hotel again.

Great location and very friendly helpful staff. The pools are both beautiful o one was rooftop with ocean views and the other on the ground court yard. The courtyard gardens are magnificent with beautiful birdlife. The lifts broke most days but were fixed within hours.

This hotel would gave been pretty cool in it's day. It looks as though they are starting to bring it up in spec. Spa was good, food was okay to good, service was good, roof top pool needs a heater. For the price it is an excellent option. If it is right in the middle of your budget, I would recommend.

There may have been a time that Champlung Mas was magnificent, but those days are now long gone. Whilst the cleaning staff are always friendly, the property, especially the bathrooms, are now old musty, mouldy and beyond a touch of bleach. The balcony doors only have a simple lock, making access to the rooms highly probable. The 'roof pool' is literally falling apart and the garden beds dead with no signs of being replaced anytime soon, this being matched by the dated and broken sun lounges. The hotel itself has the feel of a maze if you're unlucky enough to be down the very end of the property, stairwells that go nowhere or to broom closets. It needs to be stated that, even though the hotel promotes WIFI, be assured it is absolutely terrible. It would be worth paying a little more for somewhere else, because even though you're only in the room now and then, it shouldn't be a depressing experience when you're on holiday.

Bed sheet nasty stain on arrival. Mouldy smelling room. Glass Shower door not usable and maintenance did not get back to us at all even when we followed up. Aircon worked well but dripped water constantly despite maintenance attending to that. Dirt piling up next to wardrobe and under bed. Screaming kids in pool. No refund for leaving early as expected. Food was good. Friendly staff.

Friendly staff and service . Only one negative to write about the bathroom needs fixed as the water doesn't drain it stays in the bathroom and i think biy unhygienic. Overall very good .

Good size room with a new fridge and TV, bathroom clean for an older hotel, the room had a musty mouldy smell when you walked in but we would open the doors and it smelt better after airing, Staff were nice and friendly. Great area to stay in, close to everything we needed and wanted to go to. Would stay again

First room we stayed in was not good at all, top floor back corner. Asked to change rooms, ground floor garden view. Room was everything, spacious, convenient & comfortable. Reception staff were always friendly even when I woke one up at 4am to get me a taxi. Breakfast is nothing spectacular but it’s enough to get you going in morning.

The room was huge, and always clean. The bed was super comfy and water pressure was amazing. Location was great with everything we wanted, close by. Cheap cocktail happy hour (which we took advantage of daily, lol). The place is a little run down, but we aren't fussy, so didn't mind too much. The only real negatives would be the lack of air flow in the centre of the complex. There is no air movement and with smoking, it does linger. And, it does get noisy at times as the sound just reverberates. We would consider staying in this location again as the positives definitely outweighed the negative.
The room was huge, and always clean. The bed was super comfy and water pressure was amazing. Location was great with everything we wanted, close by. Staff were nice, friendly and helpful, and attended promptly to any requests. The roof pool could do with some umbrellas as there was no shade up there at all. Just be aware superior and deluxe rooms are exactly the same deluxe on lower levels superior 3rd and 4th but prices are more expensive for deluxe but they have lifts.

Very happy with our stay .we requested two rooms together but wasnt available for 1st night but the staff made it happen the next day .Also one of our rooms the air-conditioner broke down with three nights left so my friends got moved to larger room .Would definitely stay there again .
Very happy with our stay .we requested two rooms together but wasnt available for 1st night but the staff made it happen the next day .Also one of our rooms the air-conditioner broke down with three nights left so my friends got moved to larger room .Would definitely stay there again .

Staff, friendly and always helpful. Any issues attended too as quickly as possible. Grounds lovely and well kept. Would be nice to have a better tv system for when you want some quiet times. Movies etc.

Close to everything. The staff were accommodating. Had afew air con issues but they sorted it straight away. Supplied sheets for after our tattoos with no charges. Pools were great and clean. Its a little rundown and certainly due for a makeover. But Overall great, clean, comfy and relaxing time there, we loved our near 3 wks home away from home x

Pillows were very lumpy and sheets had burn holes in them. I asked for the bath to be cleaned as it had a dirty ring mark around it and I requested that 4 times in my 10 night stay and never got done once. There was gaps in the doors so the air conditioner wasn’t cooling the room down. I’ve stated before at champlunge a couple of years ago and it was great but now very disappointing.

The Champlung Mas hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of Legian, near to a varying type of facilities such as shops, deli's, restaurants, money changes, bars etc. It is close enough to walk to these places but far enough away to be able to get away from it. The ground floor pool is good, however the top floor poll is too open and is not kept in a decent condition. And is difficult to get to. The breakfast of toast, fruit, cakes, Indonesian foods, bacon, eggs etc is one of the best I have experienced in my 30 plus visits to Bali. The rooms are clean, although a little worn out. The curtains need to be thicker as too much light comes in from the street at night. I would probably stay at this hotel again.

The room was huge, and always clean. The bed was super comfy and water pressure was amazing. Location was great with everything we wanted, close by. Cheap cocktail happy hour (which we took advantage of daily, lol). The place is a little run down, but we aren't fussy, so didn't mind too much. The only real negatives would be the lack of air flow in the centre of the complex. There is no air movement and with smoking, it does linger. And, it does get noisy at times as the sound just reverberates. We would consider staying in this location again as the positives definitely outweighed the negative.

Bed sheet nasty stain on arrival. Mouldy smelling room. Glass Shower door not usable and maintenance did not get back to us at all even when we followed up. Aircon worked well but dripped water constantly despite maintenance attending to that. Dirt piling up next to wardrobe and under bed. Screaming kids in pool. No refund for leaving early as expected. Food was good. Friendly staff.

Champlung Mas is in a great location & good value. Buffet breakfast offers a great variety to set you up for the day. The restaurant is open in the evenings if you decide to have a quiet night in. So much is within an easy walk. The guests are typically Australian. My only criticism would be the pillows are very lumpy & not great for a good night sleep.

3rd Aug-10 Aug 2026. We started with Rm 233. A/C not very cold. We were so hot! No other rooms available, staff offered fan, still struggled with the heat. Offer to move rooms which we took up to Rm 203. A/C still not working efficiently. We were still hot. Called to get it checked again. We had to use fan again. Toilet kept getting blocked and or wouldn’t flush. Reported 5 times, staff very efficient and came straight away. Very spasmotic. We had to wee in the shower and/or use toilet elsewhere. It was embarrassing to us both. Shower door also couldn’t shut so water would run out of shower door. Had to be careful not to slip on floor. Also room very light of a night, due to curtains not being blockouts. Spoke to another dude on same floor and he too said Room too hot, A/C not working. He had reported and said he wouldn’t be back either. Other people on other floors said their rooms were lovely and cold. Rooms clean and beds nice & comfortable. Housekeeping was immaculate. No hairdryer.

The pool rooms are much better than room on other floors. The only problem I had was bathroom was old and not cleaned as I would expect a hotel to keep it but beds , aircon were fantastic!! Staff were extremely helpful and hotel massage was affordable and amazing. GREAT location to get to everything. Would stay again.
