We stayed here Memorial Day weekend. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We loved hanging out on the deck with the fire pit and enjoying the weather. There are tons of windows to enjoy nature even while inside. The kitchen was great for cooking our own meals. It was nice having a washer and dryer after being on the water during the day.

The cottage was very nice. I was disappointed in the path to the water. It was not as described. Rather steep decline and path not easy to negotiate. Overall it was a good place to stay.

This is an adorable little getaway. The last little stretch of road is narrow, windy and bumpy so count on driving pretty slow and plan to Stay in after dark. Definitely remember to bring your groceries with you. It was peaceful, relaxing and has a nice size deck with a fire table and grill (though… there were 3 propane tanks but barely any fuel in any of them) We would have spent more time by the fire if we had more propane. The deadbolt doesn’t work but at-least the regular door locks when it’s closed. The view is beautiful. Overall, it was a perfect little escape.

My husband & I wanted a fall getaway; Eagles Nest was perfect! Immaculate , Quiet lakeside cabin ; enjoyed the large deck and firepit ; clean, comfortable bed; nice kitchen, fluffy bath towels; I appreciated the extra sink /vanity in the master bedroom; location was a fun & scenic drive ; the path to the lake was steep as discribed, and we did walk down & sat on the dock , but the climb back up to the cabin was a bit much for older folks, Ha! Cookeville is about 30 minutes out & has plenty of restaurants & shopping ; we actually grabbed a to go order from Olive Garden & ate out on the relaxing deck . Kevin was very responsive & helpful throughout our stay ; we’d definitely stay again!

The property was wonderful and very well appointed. Nice and clean with great beds and linens. The access to the lake was not what we expected. It is a very steep grade to get down to the lake, and there wasn’t really a path, more just straight through the woods. But overall we had a great, peaceful stay for our anniversary.

The view is amazing and the property is very well done and well appointed. The extra half bath is great. Lots of clean towels and beautiful kitchen. New washer and dryer also a huge plus!!! Super clean!

Eagles nest is a beautiful property. 1 bedroom plus loft space with 2 twin beds. The porch area is lovely and relaxing. Everything is very clean. Rules are very clear which is nice. Only drawback is difficult lake access. Path is very steep and getting into the lake muddy and murky. Wouldn’t advise if the lake is your main reason for visiting. Overall very nice getaway

It is a really poor road to access and has no good parking. Steps are not easy with heavy load. Bugs on the curtains. The place was nice and clean but had a smell of sewage. The register/ vent cover was not the correct size and was not secured to the floor so we almost fell through. Sadly we decided to leave early.

Beautiful, private cottage with everything we needed! We came just to get away for the weekend and to check out the area for family trips. Eveything was comfortable, clean, and perfect! Kevin, the host, was also an excellent communicator. Highly recommend!propertWotocome back!

We found the cabin to be very quiet and peaceful. Tucked away down a gravel lane was our perfect getaway. Eagles Nest was exceptionally clean with everything you could want, from pots, pans, utensils, and linen. The beds were clean and had soft sheets and fluffy blankets. Pack up your groceries before arriving, the store is 20-30 mins away, but we didn't mind. Small price to pay for the quiet. The small beach area just down the street was easy to navigate on foot and some flat rocks were perfect for fishing from. Visit the Burgess Falls or the Harmony Farm and Creamery to cuddle goats! We had a wonderful stay! Thank you, Kevin!

Kevin’s place is wonderful - the perfect little nook for a getaway. It is roomy enough for 2 or 4 or more with everything you need. Walkable down to the water and a quick drive into towns. Beautiful views off the porch and all the peace and quiet you could ever wish for.

The house was beautiful and so peaceful and quiet, was not a bad drive to the Bergen falls and we ate at the cute little restaurant when we came out of there, highly recommend. The beds were comfortable and a lot of extras.

Spent Sunday - Tuesday here with my family. Had a great time chilling. Swam in the lake and kept the lazy day in a perfect way. My wife and I were in the primary bedroom and adult daughter slept in the spacious loft. It was hot outside (highs on the mid-90s) but cool inside. Definitely recommend.

The check in was extremely easy and host's communication was great. Very clean and comfy all around. I read previous reviews and the trail down to the lake is a hike but what we expected for experienced hikers like us. The location also was not a problem. We plan for everything. All the hiking spots are 15 to 45 minutes away but for sceultions it was great. Cookeville is not but 20 minutes away. The have updated the depot district and the food at seven seas and crawldaddys were awesome. I would recommend this for anyone that loves the outdoors enjoys hikes and enjoys quiet nights.

This house is great for a quiet stay in the mountains. We had to cancel at the last minute and the owner communicated well and was kind with new arrangements. Will definitely come back!

The cabin’s location is rural, but that was exactly what we were looking for. The roads were as described, and driving instructions were accurate. However, it wasn’t ready when we arrived/hadn’t been cleaned since the last guest. Kevin responded quickly and was excellent in resolving this issue (even on a holiday!). Overall, we enjoyed our trip.

The house was beautiful and so peaceful and quiet, was not a bad drive to the Bergen falls and we ate at the cute little restaurant when we came out of there, highly recommend. The beds were comfortable and a lot of extras.

All the comforts of home, quite a steep incline drive off the mountain to the cabin, as well as short walk to the waters edge, but beautiful!

We stayed here Memorial Day weekend. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We loved hanging out on the deck with the fire pit and enjoying the weather. There are tons of windows to enjoy nature even while inside. The kitchen was great for cooking our own meals. It was nice having a washer and dryer after being on the water during the day.

This is an adorable little getaway. The last little stretch of road is narrow, windy and bumpy so count on driving pretty slow and plan to Stay in after dark. Definitely remember to bring your groceries with you. It was peaceful, relaxing and has a nice size deck with a fire table and grill (though… there were 3 propane tanks but barely any fuel in any of them) We would have spent more time by the fire if we had more propane. The deadbolt doesn’t work but at-least the regular door locks when it’s closed. The view is beautiful. Overall, it was a perfect little escape.

The check in was extremely easy and host's communication was great. Very clean and comfy all around. I read previous reviews and the trail down to the lake is a hike but what we expected for experienced hikers like us. The location also was not a problem. We plan for everything. All the hiking spots are 15 to 45 minutes away but for sceultions it was great. Cookeville is not but 20 minutes away. The have updated the depot district and the food at seven seas and crawldaddys were awesome. I would recommend this for anyone that loves the outdoors enjoys hikes and enjoys quiet nights.

My husband & I wanted a fall getaway; Eagles Nest was perfect! Immaculate , Quiet lakeside cabin ; enjoyed the large deck and firepit ; clean, comfortable bed; nice kitchen, fluffy bath towels; I appreciated the extra sink /vanity in the master bedroom; location was a fun & scenic drive ; the path to the lake was steep as discribed, and we did walk down & sat on the dock , but the climb back up to the cabin was a bit much for older folks, Ha! Cookeville is about 30 minutes out & has plenty of restaurants & shopping ; we actually grabbed a to go order from Olive Garden & ate out on the relaxing deck . Kevin was very responsive & helpful throughout our stay ; we’d definitely stay again!

Awesome experience at a quant little secluded (nearest real stores are 20 minutes away) cabin built on the side of the lake embankment face. You can hear the lake & if it was not for the trees(not necessarily a bad thing since they provide shade & sound buffer) definitely see it. You can reach the lake via a short, but steep altering terrain hike down to the rocky water line.(suggest bringing camping chairs to sit and chill)The road into the place dead ends to the water with a rock(small rocks) beach area where smaller boats of the locals will put in. There is a parking area, with trash cans just before the steeper decent to beach/shore. A lot of locals hang out there, so traffic on a Saturday can be heavier.Also note boats on the weekend will pass by all hours of the night & early morning. Its not overly noisy, just the constant drone of a boat engine for ambience.The main road, & road itself to the cabin & the lake is a little rough, narrow so taking it slow is advisable(even in a 4x4 unless you like worn bushings & joints). A truck, jeep, or more rugged SUV is advisable, but the locals seem to have no problem driving anything & everything down the road as fast as they can.On that note, longer larger vehicle is not recommended as parking is directly in front of the cabin with a smaller footprint. More than one vehicle will not fit very well, 2 smaller hatchbacks could.The host was great with communication & the stay was very enjoyable. Would do it again!
