Breakfast - not enough or no replacement of food ( ie eggs). Ice machine on 2nd floor out of order.

This hotel was poorly maintained, elevator was broke, room wasn't ready by check in time, room was dirty, breakfast was very bad and limited, mattresses uncomfortable. Only thing it has going for it is good location.

I was very disappointed the carpets throughout were dirty. The place seemed very dingy and not clean. There was cigarette smell in the room even though it’s a non smoking hotel. The elevator did not work and we were on the third floor. Very disappointing stay.

The photos used on the booking site are stock photos and not of what the property actually looks like. It’s priced way too high for the quality. I have pictures. The hotel is dirty and dated and is in desperate need of renovation. There are stains on the walls, curtains, and lampshades. The freezer was overly frosted. Very beat up appliances. Bathroom had stains, couch had a hole in it. Elevator was broken. Entire building smelled old. The coffee area had hair, old stains, and spilled sugar upon arrival and wasn’t cleaned when we checked out the following day. We would have left and cancelled but we had no other options. The property managers should be ashamed.

The elevator was down. My husband has trouble with stairs and this was a huge issue. The refrigerator was dirty. There were stains around the outside of the tub. The paint was worn on the walls inside the room and in the door. The carpet on the stairs was stained and filthy. I had to call downstairs to get the Wi-Fi password and had a rough time connecting. We booked here because it was close to the stadium but I wouldn’t stay here again. It wasn’t worth the money at all.

Easy check in and parking, safe environment and clean room. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I had no complaints.

Fair for price. Neighbourhood is not great but this specific block is newly built re fast food, sit down restos, stores and gas. Staff aren't well trained but they are nice. Hotel building itself is not old but is getting worn. Has a 'feel' of mgnt skimping on staff, etc. Breakfast was bare bones but we got a good price. Water (in our washroom) turned off, briefly, on two occasions. On last night, our door key mechanism failed (so technician was called). Noisy at night re various other guests. Overall, the feel was a lower end experience. Having said that, building is pretty modern and well-kept structurally, it appears. Presents well. As said, we got a v good rate.

Our door cards constantly had to be re coded. Getting towels and rags were like pulling teeth.

It’s was ok but no pool!

We stayed here because of the proximity to Northwest stadium but that is the only positive thing about the property. This hotel is in severe disrepair. All fixtures and furniture are water damaged. The whole building needs a remodel very badly. Carpets are soiled, smells bad, large groups of people loitering around. There are places to eat within walking distance but friends from the area told us its not in a particularly safe place to walk around especially at night. We stayed two nights and could barely get an extra towel (two adults and a child in a room but only two towels provided). Front desk staff looked at me like I was crazy for needing an extra towel. Room was never serviced and we were not able to get any towels for our second night either. I have stayed in similar budget properties in the past but his was really bad, will not be back. There are other hotels in close proximity that we will try next time.

I experienced a room with a bed bug issue and I feel this hotel should really looking into there clean staff. It were multiple rooms with bed bugs.

Very Disappointed. Country Inn and Suites was always a brand I could trust. Normally clean room's. This place was disgusting, Tried changing rooms and hotels, unfortunately nothing was available close by. The lobby needed a good cleaning. Walking to our room #213 we took the stairs, carpet was extremely stained same as the second floor hallways. Opening the door the room didn’t smell clean. Our suite had a king bed with a second room with a pull out sofa bed. The sheets on the pull out were not changed and heavily stained with who knows what. I went to the lobby and got new sheets. All carpet in the bedroom was also heavily stained, Bedding on king bed seemed clean. TV’s need to be updated, very poor quality. The AC unit in a locked closet vibrated loudly all night. Vents were dirty, maybe some mold. The bathroom floors were dirty, cracked and loose tile. All corners were not cleaned well. When I took a shower it smelled moldy, again corners were dirty and mold? No ventilation in bathroom so the paint if bubbling and peeling everywhere. Ceiling looked like there was serious water damage. Was afraid to eat breakfast there because of the room conditions. Spoke to another guest in the morning, the said their room was very dirty too. Still not sure why the guest reviews on Expedia were so high. Again very disappointed. Unfortunately this one bad experience at Country Inn and Suites will always stick in my mind when looking for a place to stay.

The floors in the room and hallways were very dirty. You can tell the do not get vacuumed or mopped on a daily. The hotel and rooms were not that clean and our clothes smelt so bad from the smell of the rooms. The whole hotel and rooms smelt of mildew.

Checked out 5 minutes after check in. The entire hotel smells so bad. The room has dirty blankets, human hair, bugs, trash, water damaged ceilings, spills all over the carpet. Not sanitary at all!

Property was visibly dirty such as the elevator and room. My room had a heavy smoke smell despite the fact it was smoke free and my bed linen were visibly soiled. Staff were professional and courteous at all times throughout my stay.

The hotel room was disgusting. Black mold in the bathroom, door lock was broken and wouldn’t properly latch, soiled linens, bed sheets were dirty, floor was dirty, hair in the tub, on the bathroom floor

This place was just so dirty. The communal spaces were stained and messy, but it was the room that was really gross. It looks like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. There was trash under the dresser, someone’s dirty sock on the side of the bed, and toenail clippings and other detritus all over the carpet. We kept our shoes on because we didn’t want to touch the floor with our feet or socks. Very disappointed and if we weren’t so tired from a day of walking around DC we would have left.

This hotel is terrible l, please save your money and book elsewhere. The first hotel room had stains all over the carpet and there was mold around the bathtub. We requested another room and again stains all over the floor, grease stains on the walls and mirrors. The bathroom floor was sunken in, in front of the toilet and felt as though it would fall in. The iron was broken with missing buttons. Overall the experience was awful and we will never stay here again.

We stayed here for two nights while in DC for a football game. Everything was okay except for the bed was so uncomfortable, and the pillows were lousy. We had friends who also stayed here the same time, and they said the same thing. Our shower tub did not drain properly, and the floor of the tub was slick. I almost slipped getting in. The complimentary breakfast was lousy, the food was disgusting.

Needs updating, one of my beds were lumpy and carpet was old. Bathroom in need of upgrade as well.

Bathtub rusty, holes in bathroom walls, carpet very dirty, the first room we got 205 the door wouldn't lock you could just put it open, I would not recommend this place to anyone

Internet is no good.

Front end staff very friendly Room was clean but 1. bathroom fan and small light did not work 2. Ice Machine on my floor was not working 3. Had A/C on left for the day came back and it was off and room was very warm

I have been staying here for over a month now while waiting for our new place. It has been cleaner than most of the hotels in the area. However the internet only works in a few rooms on the bottom level and a couple of times we didn’t have Hot water. I think for as much as the stays add up to the hotel should be upgraded at minimum the internet service especially since that is a major amenity!

My ceiling was leaking and the WiFi was out so I missed my job meeting

When i got the key to my first room the door was propped open and someone had pissed in the toilet and left trash on the counter. On top of that the room reeked of Marijuana. The mamagers only response was oh, illg et you a new room. And thw paint on the walls was peeling as well

I’ve stayed at several Country Inn and Suites and I’ve always enjoyed my stay, until this location. Needs to be updated, renovated, and the management is very stingy with towels and wash clothes. I don’t know what that’s about.

We were there for the new year and we were completely satisfied with the results. Very friendly staff who made us feel like we were home even though we were from out of town

Rooms are in poor condition. First room shower wasn’t working. Changed Rooms then there were no towels in 2nd Room. 3rd day no Housekeeping. 4th day requested Housekeeping and still did not receive service. This Hotel isn’t worth the Price. Homeless people always loitering in parking lot and Main Lobby.

Mo greeted me at the desk upon arrival, and I found him to be quite genuine, friendly and attentive.

Improve service. Was checking late with kids first they said double queen bed sold out while I had confirmation with advance payment. They given room but lock of that room never worked with key in 2 days stay went for 4 times to get it activated, 2 times they come to room to unlock with their device. No daily room service, not clean room. First day when asked extra towel they said all are for in washing, next day said in dryer will send in few mins but never did that and we go to reception.

Paid ahead of time thru Expedia. Checked in and one of the two keys didn’t work. Entire second floor smelled like spoiled Indian food. Took was ok except the AC intake at the window was right above the smoking area so our room reaked of pot (totally fine with smokers but don’t want it in my room), then when we returned later that night at midnight after the concert we attended, the one room key that worked at check in now DIDNT work, went down to the desk to get it reprogrammed to find no employees at the desk. Had to go search outside for assistance. He was out there socializing and smoking. He reprogrammed the key so we go BACK upstairs a second time only to find that it STILL didn’t work 🙄. Another trip to the desk and had to go outside AGAIN to find the employee and try AGAIN. And finally, several hours after we checked out and were back on our six hour drive home someone from the hotel called to claim my payment was declined. The payment I ALREADY MADE FIVE MONTHS AGO. So no I definitely DO NOT recommend this place.

It was not far from the Metro Station Blue line, really handy if you want to visit DC without spending a lot on a hotel

the surrounding area is not the safest… multiple police cars responding to the workers waiting at the home depot next door. hotel needs to be maintained better. the hallways smell. bathroom door hinges were coming off and door wouldn’t close. on a positive. the room seemed clean

Saying that the property is dirty is an understatement. The carpet is all stained, the sheets are stained. The room smell like cigarettes or weed depending on which room you get. The pictures must be old because the property hasn't looked that nice in a long time. There are numerous homeless people wandering through the parking lots at night. If you're considering staying here, don't.

Not a great place for tourists, unless they live in an Urban area!!

When entering the room, there were stains on the floor. I open the refrigerator to put something in and it was disgusting, it looked like a milk shake spilled inside. Breakfast eggs were cold the waffle maker was empty and the orange juice was watered down. The only thing good about the place was it was close to the stadium.

Good room for the price, rooms need to be renovated. Paint chipping on walls, breakfast was awful and panhandlers hanging outside of the hotel entrance.

It was a nice stay. The staff were polite and welcoming. The continental breakfast was good. The are where the food was served was clean.

The front desk staff were extremely nice. Parking was easy and ample, even with a tour bus there. I met friendly visitors as well. The pancake machine is a good idea, but doesn’t work well. Water was hot, room was clean, waffles were good too !

Interior condition of rooms could of been better and breakfast to me was among the worst I have ever had at a hotel. The staff was great!
