Candlewood Suites Wichita Falls at Maurine Street by IHG

The room was very clean and had a kitchenette complete with plates and bowls and glasses etc. fridge was full sized and there was even a place where you could rent a crockpot!

Front desk was excellent. Very helpful. Dogs welcome!!!

We can in late and left early. Parking lot was almost full but was lit up well. The check in took longer than I expected. The girl at the front desk came across like she was new to the job. Check out took longer than normal because she had trouble with the printer. Overall I believe the price is too high for that Hotel

Hotel and furnishings are a little run down. The staff is excellent, and the other amenities are good. I will stay there again if I come back to Wichita Falls.

Alway good parking. Big refrigerator and stove. Coffee in the morning. Good rates with dogs.

The tv keep going in and out .. they had broken microwave and a working microwave both.. hallways were extremely hot and so was the elevator.. bed was ok but not great..

The property was in very poor condition! When we checked in we noticed that the hotel seemed to be preparing to do extensive remodeling. We were told that they do not offer breakfast but that we could receive a 15% discount at Denny’s down the road. The elevator was scary it smelled like it was overheating. We got to our top floor room and could not access the WIFI. I picked up the phone to call the front desk and discovered that it did not work. I pulled the bedside table out to see if it was plugged in and discovered dead bugs and filth! The bed looked okay so we decided to try and get some sleep. I woke up at approximately 1:30am. and the room was very cold. The electricity was completely out! We found out that was not the fault of the Hotel, but with us being on the top floor, no electricity meant No elevator. Someone from the hotel should have checked on us or informed us what was happening but they did not! We left at 4:30am. The emergency lights in the hallway were not all working and the stairwell emergency lights were not working at all! We walked in the dark carrying our luggage down to the bottom floor. The guy at the desk said that the entire area was in a power outage and he wouldn’t be able to give us a receipt. When I ask why they didn’t inform us he simply replied “ You could have called! “ I told him that I had tried call from my cell phone because the one in our room didn’t work and it just went straight to voicemail. He said I guess the phone is out too.

The room had everything we needed including dish soap, which came in handy traveling with an infant. The front entrance was dirty though, trash overflowing from trash can and cigarette butts on the ground. The area seemed a little sketchy too but this is pretty much where all of the hotel off the interstate are in Wichita Falls.

Ants, earwigs, geckos all inside the room. No dish soap in the room fpr the dishes, asked for some and the front desk also had none. The bed tilted to the inside and headboard. It was quiet, but very rundown area of town.

The room was hot. I had the thermostat turned to 62 but it was about 75 in the room. No hair dryer, the ice machine in the fridge only put out about 8 pcs every 2-3 hours. Definitely not worth the price of the room

Kept having to get card activated every single day of our stay. Other than that it was good. thank you Candlewood Suites

Really nice staff!

Jeremy was very helpful. He went out of his way to get my husband’s scooter out of our car and found us a shower chair.

Staff was friendly and informative. Inside and outside of the hotel was clean ( I didn't even see a cigarette butt on the ground, just elaborating on the cleanliness) the room was very nice, comfortable, up to date. Overall I will stay at Candlewood again!! 😊

Great safe place to stay

Only little problem is the hair dryer in the room didn't work. I carry a hair dryer with me so it was not a big deal. I would also suggest some decaf k-pods for the lobby.
