Lovely stay, the lift wasnt working when we stayed which made for a bit of a struggle with luggage. Breakfast is fab and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean although a little mould on the ceiling above the bath. Lovely things to see in the local area, Much Wenlock is beautiful

Well situated and with access to a nice golf course. The decor is quite dated and the conditions on the pool, hammam and sauna are questionable. Lost of black mold and greenish stay in the changing room as well as around the pool and all spa facilities. Most of the venue is closed on Sunday night.

We had a good stay for a couple of nights, used the on-site EV charging which was a great facility to have for 22KW overnight charging! The breakfast had a good selection, the room was comfortable & clean, and the staff were very helpful so I would recommend it for a stay. (we didn't get to use the Spa facilities so can't comment on them, but I am sure they would have been great too!)

The hotel is in a very tranquil location. It was very quiet in the rooms at night, we used the restaurant for evening light meals which was ideal. The spa and gym also great.

The hotel on arrival had a clean look with a pleasant perfume smell. The front desk service and booking in was quick and well explained. The room was clean warm and well presented with spare pillow's if needed. The swimming pool is heated and the gym is properly equipped. The menu is typical of a chain hotel.

Chose this hotel as traveling with family and only stipulation was ‘we need a pool’.. on arrival and noticed a sign saying no children in the pool after 6pm and before 9am. We checked in about 6:15pm after a long day of training for the e daughter and the pool was a treat. We’re told there was no chance of going swimming. Had things already booked the following day so had to leave at 9, or normally a problem as we are up at 7 so go for a swim then breakfast. Did not see these restrictions anywhere on the website when booking as would not have booked.

Really good. Lovely people working there, really helpful, friendly and polite. Car charger 100kw so a decent one. Very comfortable and peaceful room. Good gym, range of free weights as well as fixed, bars, cardio machines. Breakfast good too.

A nice hotel. Very clean. But some things weren’t working eg phone in the bedroom. The air conditioning was ok. The sound proofing between rooms is not great. The restaurant on site was convenient but the food was average. It was very handy having a pool, sauna, steam room and gym on-site. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to try a spa treatment. Overall a pretty good stay. We didn’t play the course but having a range on site was handy.

Really lovely hotel. Very professional staff, very clean. All staff seemed to be working tirelessly. A particular mention to the breakfast staff who were so helpful to all guests & nothing was too much trouble. Spa/pool were lovely & clean & a really relaxing environment.

Hotel is fine - my room wasn’t great. The shower had lots of black mold in it, the water pressure was so-so and the water temperature was luke-warm even with the shower thermostat turned to its highest setting. The toilet seat also had a broken hinge. It was disappointing to have no water bottles in the room and even more disappointing that I didn’t get the ‘free room upgrade’ advertised by Hotels.com. Despite this, the room was well equipped with a desk, decent tv and usb charging points by the bed. It just felt like it needed a little tlc.

We stayed here for two nights. The Hotel is very relaxing and the staff are all really helpful. The room was very quiet, stylish and clean. There were a couple of things to make it better, cobwebs on the ceiling (high up and only noticed when in bed) and the grout in the shower was stained. The food and drink were all really good and we would recommend the breakfast! We would most definitely go back again as we didn’t use the spa on this occasion

The hotel is a little jaded and in need of a refurb.I was disappointed in the deluxe double room which was small and had dirt and cobwebs in corners and on roof. Bathroom was small and no hot water in the sink. The wardrobe was dirty inside also. Was last here in 2017 when it looked a lot better!

The hotel is in beautiful surroundings and the reception, bar and restaurant are relatively modern. The restaurant food is poor quality and very overpriced. I expected much more and was left feeling hungry and dissatisfied. The hotel corridors are dusty and cobwebs in the corners. Cobwebs on light fittings above the bed. Old batteries in Aircon, went to reception who swapped them for more old batteries which gave up the ghost during the evening. Why not put new batteries in? Very comfortable bed though.

A solid big hotel venue. Unfortunately my room was very cold. Radiators on full but only luke warm. Air con with no manual override. Should expect to have to wear jumpers in bed but that’s what it came to. They fixed it for the second day, however

Ensuite extractor fan not working. Heated towel rail on permanently during hot weather. Room a bit dated. No aircon and windows have very restricted opening. Generally a nice hotel and great staff

Wonderful hotel lovely staff. Great spa. Only downside was the loudness of the bedroom doors. They were so loud and banged. They could do with a little rubber stopper like kitchen cupboards to stop the loud bang which wakes you up every time someone comes and goes

Really nice hotel. Nice clean and comfortable room. Very spacious room and bathroom. Couldn't fault anything about our stay .breakfast was really nice with plenty of choice for any tastes. Overall a nice experience for me and my daughter.

Very disappointed went with a golf group and had two nights booked decided to travel up the night before so booked separately and the first night room had air conditioning and when we check we asked if we could stay in the room and was told no but the room would be the same on moving rooms the room had no air conditioning and was not as nice. When we wuerries this we were told not all rooms have aircon but this is advertised on their website. The member of staff calling himself the operations manager was very arrogant and just kept repeating yes to us when we asked questions and had no answer apart from this he just wanted to get rid of us. When asked about rectifying this he gave no response apart from give me 10 minutes and never came back to us with an answer. Would avoid this hotel like the plague. The money we paid for 3 nights hotel and golf was definitely not worth it and the golf course was in poor condition and the hotel was very much below standard.

Great all round. I usually stay in three different hotels per week and this place is on my “will revisit” list. Comfortable & clean with friendly staff. Rooms are a little dated but the powerful hot shower and the super fast WiFi make up for that. Only tried one meal in the restaurant but the food was great too.

It said free toiletries the only thing we got was shower gel, everything else you had to purchase , at £183 for one night. restaurant was fully booked, so had to eat in lounge, spa reservations again difficult to get a booking, check in is after 3pm and checkout is 11am you don’t even get the room for 24hours. Not happy as a birthday treat!
It said free toiletries the only thing we got was shower gel, everything else you had to purchase , at £183 for one night. restaurant was fully booked, so had to eat in lounge, spa reservations again difficult to get a booking, check in is after 3pm and checkout is 11am you don’t even get the room for 24hours. Not happy as a birthday treat!

Lovely stay with helpful friendly staff. On first night we were disturbed by faulty fire alarm, however, the hotel manager displayed excellent Customer service by offering a discount on the nights stay and a complimentary meal in restaurant. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely use The Telford Hotel Spa and Golf.

Really lovely hotel. Very professional staff, very clean. All staff seemed to be working tirelessly. A particular mention to the breakfast staff who were so helpful to all guests & nothing was too much trouble. Spa/pool were lovely & clean & a really relaxing environment.

We had a lovely stay, nice room, very attentive staff, slightly disappointed about the bar being closed when we arrived back, after we was told it would be still open, apart from that everything was good.

Good stay overall for a family break. We booked for 2 adults and a child under 1 and asked in the booking requests for a cot however when we checked in and got to the room there was a pull out bed, the hotel did remove this when we asked but don’t rely on the information you’ve given on hotels.com being read. Room was quite small and a bit dated but the bed was big and comfy and clean enough, the bathroom just had a shower. The hotel has lovely views from the 2 bar/restaurants and great areas to sit out in good weather. We ate/drank in both and food was okay, nothing to write home about but did the job. The VIP rewards 20% off food and soft drinks worked in both and was really good, also worked on buffet breakfast making it (£12pppd as the walk up price). The hotel was very busy during our stay but staff were all generally very pleasant. Would have been helpful to be given more information on check in as to where the bars/restaurants/health club could be found and what they offer at what times (this information also wasn’t in the room). The pool was great for our little boy, kids times were 9am-11am and 3pm-6pm. Overall a decent hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

Very disappointed went with a golf group and had two nights booked decided to travel up the night before so booked separately and the first night room had air conditioning and when we check we asked if we could stay in the room and was told no but the room would be the same on moving rooms the room had no air conditioning and was not as nice. When we wuerries this we were told not all rooms have aircon but this is advertised on their website. The member of staff calling himself the operations manager was very arrogant and just kept repeating yes to us when we asked questions and had no answer apart from this he just wanted to get rid of us. When asked about rectifying this he gave no response apart from give me 10 minutes and never came back to us with an answer. Would avoid this hotel like the plague. The money we paid for 3 nights hotel and golf was definitely not worth it and the golf course was in poor condition and the hotel was very much below standard.

Reception staff were amazing, probably the most friendly and helpful i have ever met in stays across hundreds of hotels across the world. Restaurant staff in the evening and the morning were rude and very unhelpful, made us feel like we were a pain being there.

The hotel is in a very tranquil location. It was very quiet in the rooms at night, we used the restaurant for evening light meals which was ideal. The spa and gym also great.

Clean and comfortable accommodation, with an excellent buffet breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice indoor pool and sauna. Nothing much to do within walking distance of the hotel, but it's a short drive to Telford and Ironbridge Gorge. There was no fridge in our room.

We booked a night away to visit an Xmas market and chose Telford. Unfortunately Telford Xmas market is truly awful and is the worst one we have ever been to. Although a let down, due to the good location of the hotel, there was still plenty to visit. We had a very short drive to Ironbridge, not much there, but a very pretty excursion. As we are National Trust members, we managed to visit 4 places in the surrounding areas. The hotel itself. The room, decent size as you'd expect, but the room was tired and could do with a bit of a touch up, a little disappointing to tell you the truth considering the price we paid. The staff, all were excellent, very polite and very helpful and helped us where they could. We booked the breakfast and fact it was actually very nice. What was included which I noticed, nuts, made a nice topping along with fruit for the yogurt. Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast and definitely would order it again if we stopped here again. The crux of it is, would we stop here again? Tough one, if other hotels available for a similar price, I would try somewhere else. If the rooms were given a lick of paint, given a bit of TLC, then definitely yes we would return. With the good and the bad, from our stay I would say average. We may have just been unlucky and got a room that had black speckles. The staff and breakfast did save our opinion of this hotel.

Really convenient for visiting our site in Telford. Room facilities not consistent as some guests had fridges but i upgraded and tye bathroom was rather tiny so struggled getting out I f the shower and restaurant food seems to have gone downhill. I had gluten free fish and chips but the chips were very dark and greasy. We therefore opted to eat out the next night.

Overall enjoyed our stay the hotel is set in lovely surroundings and the rooms were very comfortable. However we ate at the hotel restaurant, 1779, on our first night which we booked in advance and were not overly impressed with the fact that we had to pre-order our selections hours before. Seems very strange that a 4* hotel can't cope with a table of 8 guest who turn up together. There were other problems as well, seemed a little short on staff through the meal. My wife and others ordered olives and bread for starters, however when they arrived my wife cut into the roll and found it frozen as were the other rolls, which again for the prestige the hotel was trying to show was a lttle lacking, firstly because the rolls hadn't been defrosted properly and secondly what is a 4* hotel doing using frozen bread and not having fresh bread. Luckily after this the meal took a turn for the better with no more complications. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the use of the pool was very nice.

Lovely quiet arra to rest durung business trips, but paying for additional room space wasnt worth it as i had trouble getting in and out the shower due to the door being tight to the toilet. The restaurant also seems to have gone down hill and i was served almost burnt and greasy chips with my gluten free meal

Only there for one night but had 20% off food and drink through Hotels.com due to loyalty scheme. The hotel facilities were excellent and the food in the restaurant was excellent as was the breakfeast. As well as the location being perfect for visiting local sites we would have to commend the staff for their helpful attitude.

The hotel is in beautiful surroundings and the reception, bar and restaurant are relatively modern. The restaurant food is poor quality and very overpriced. I expected much more and was left feeling hungry and dissatisfied. The hotel corridors are dusty and cobwebs in the corners. Cobwebs on light fittings above the bed. Old batteries in Aircon, went to reception who swapped them for more old batteries which gave up the ghost during the evening. Why not put new batteries in? Very comfortable bed though.

The hotel was reasonable in multiple parts however the air conditioning units in our room (and in the room of other guests in our group) were not working, they would turn on for a minute or so before switching off again. Frustratingly the room temperature itself was very hot despite being reasonable temperature outside, meaning this isn't only a problem during hot weather. Raised this with the staff at the desk who said they could send someone to fix, however the issue was not looked at or resolved so both nights we had very poor sleep, which impacted how much we could enjoy the hotel the rest of the time. Pool is nice & breakfast is decent though they start taking food away quickly at end of service so avoid turning up at the last minute.
