Property on exterior was littered with trash; parking lot had unsafe potholes; people were loitering just a few feet away from the property. Never saw a maintenance worker working at the property.

The Days Inn was absolutely disgusting. Lied about amenities… Pool dirty, restaurant not open, TV in lobby not working, no tea, only decaf coffee in room but not offered at breakfast. In room, the door stuck so had to use force to get in, dirty and old food beside microwave, switches sticky and dirty, broken lamp, broken key chain latch, desk chair cushion dirty… used towels to cover chair before sitting on it, and slept on towels on the sheets and pillows. And worst, cockroaches crawling up door frame... I have a video. Very sketchy people and I believe I witnessed a drug deal. There was no sign on hotel lobby car overhang, just outline where it should’ve been. Rooms not soundproofed at all. I did not feel safe and worried about germs/bugs/rodents the entire time… so gross.

At check in you are only allowed in between the double doors and a dog is barking at you from the foyer. The clerk gives you the keeps and has you sign that they are not liable for your car in the parking lot. This is though a bullet proof window in between the doors. The location of hotel is behind an Exxon gas station and an old motel 6. So you are out out back.

I booked this stay specifically because I wanted to enjoy the pool after 10 hrs of driving. There was no mention on hotels com OR the hotel website of the pool being closed, but when I asked the pool hours at check in I was informed the pool was closed until the 20th. This was the first upsetting issue. Once in the room, we found bottle caps and mentos wrappers under the beds, but still within view without physically being on the floor. My top green blanket had a blood stain on it, and the bathroom did not look like it had been cleaned since the previous guest. There was debris on the floor, toilet paper stuffed in the door stopper, as well as in the peep hole for room door. The area itself is run down and the hotel is situated behind a sketchy gas station and another hotel. I wasn't pleased, at all, with how this hotel was advertised and then actually presented so much differently. 0\10 not worth the price and regret booking here.

Is the area that unsafe? - Temp set to 62 degrees in room (on a 90 degree day). - Strong musty room odor. - Loud window air conditioner. - Advertised free breakfast was a bite-sized muffin and tiny bottle of processed juice offered in a take-out bag.

This motel is absolutely not the one pictured. All the signs on the property are torn down. The locks do not lock. Bedbugs and roaches in the rooms. Stained sheets. This property was unkept. Pool displayed a swamp. The room we were originally given had dirty sheets, dirty bathroom and lampshades with brown markings. We asked to get another room and that room also had a dirty mattress bed cover. They did change out the dirty mattress cover and luckily the actual mattress underneath was clean. I would not recommend anyone to stay there and never will again.

This property was not clean it has mold on the ceiling there were spiderwebs and bugs in our room the linen on the bed was dirty and stained the air conditioner had mold around it and the refrigerator and microwave had moAlf in it I reserved 2 nights and saw the room and got our money back the staff wouldn’t stay in filth like that so why rent it out I don’t recommend this or any days inn

The rooms smelled, the pool was broke. The paint was chipping on the walls. No smoke detectors. Broken appliances. The bathrooms were full of mildew and mold. The outside appearance was just as run down. Landscaping did not appear to be kept up. The linens were stained and ripped. I can go on for ever. Expedia you should not advertise this hotel as it does not appear as it does in pictures. No wonder they are all night pictures. False advertisement to the max.

This was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed. It was beyond disgusting. Dated, dirty with sticky counters, dirty furniture and lampshades, moldy bathroom, splatters if something gross on the tv. Towels are like sandpaper. Staff unfriendly.

That was the dirtiest room l have stayed in since l was a teenager. Everything nasty. Dirt and junk all around the bed we got clean sheets and clorox and cleaned as best as we could. Never stay there again

I have never had to leave a hotel after 10 minutes inside the room before April 12. Unfortunately this was a prepaid room. The room smelled like smoke and mildew. I had said I needed a smoke free room. The door number had fallen off the outside door. The door frame looked like someone had tried to pry it open and after locking the door from the inside there was still a gap and you could see outside. There was food and bird poop on the carpet. The toilet had mold around the base. A cockroach ran across the floor. Toilet paper holder was broken and it looked like they had painted to cover up mold because you could see the black mold coming through. Ceiling was cracked and had a hole punched in it in the bathroom. Dresser drawers were broken. Ceiling in the bedroom had black marks with dents. Not sure if someone was throwing a ball at the ceiling? At midnight after only 10 minutes inside. My daughter and I got our things and checked out. The night auditor (that’s what he said he was ) seemed surprised that I didn’t find the room satisfactory. I told him that the room was dirty, bug infested, and disgusting. I have pictures of all of this except for the carpet and dresser drawer. It was safer for me to drive 2 hours home than to stay in that hell hole. I will NEVER stay at a Days Inn again. I was shocked at how rundown everything was and dirty. The pictures that are on the website are either old or from a completely different hotel. STAY AWAY. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Old candy on the floor. Clearly had not been vacuumed. My socks turned brown from walking on the carpet. Property refused a refund on our two night stay even though we left two hours after checking in.

There was black mold in the bathroom and behind the entrance door to come in your room. Blankets had cigarette burns in them. Some channels are on the guide but when you try and go to them, they are out. Wouldn’t recommend.

I tried to call the desk to complain there was no hot water, but the phone didn't work. I walked there (in the rain) and had the clerk explain that one needed to run hot water for about 5 minutes before it got hot... I wouldn't be there at all except it is convienient and cheap.....

The room was clean and we had hot water. This property is in desperate need of maintenance. There were bulges in the ceiling from previous leaks, mold in the bathroom fixtures, the smoke detector was in the nightstand and most outlets weren’t operational. The property next door had drug and police activity one night. I would not want to stay here without my husband due to safety concerns.

I booked this hotel for a weekend trip to visit family and upon arrival the check in process was no problem at all smooth and easy, once i got to my room the door was a little tuff to open and the light swith by the door seems to serve no purpose as it did not turn anything on or off that i could see, the soap they provide is horrible as i forgot mine at home but it was the size of a quarter and very hard i brought my own from a store the next day could not use that, the view i had was of another hotel that had a lot of late night traffic and loud music, the showers do not have any no slip mats in them so i did almost slip and fall in there a few times while this was not a horrible stay it was not the best either if i was not by myself this time i would not have stayed here due to the quality

Returned from breakfast, leaned against door to my room while I reached in my shirt pocket for the key card, door opened. It took more than 5 min to get hot water for a shower. Every receptacle in the room was loose and my cell phone didn't charge....Really a shame, good location, needs elbow grease.....

The door to our room opened without the key. Management worked quickly to get us a new room, and were very nice. The faucet in the tub incessantly leaked and had to throw a towel down so we wouldn’t have to hear it. Door didn’t seem to shut all the way and showed the light from the outside.

Booked very last minute w/o reading reviews, or likely would gone elsewhere. Property very dated, with updates needed. Sink faucet was about to fall off.Room was clean, as were beds/sheets, but there were several cockroaches in the room. Breakfast was a snack bag w/sunny d and a few wrapped pastries. Staff was nice and though it looked a bit sketchy, all turned out ok for a single night stay.

we were in town for a hospital visit. walked in the lobby and I asked my friend is there pool open? and the lady behind the counter said it's only for guest. not hello or welcome. She was very rude and unhappy. the room was clean enough but the people knocking on the door in the middle of the night was unpleasant. the breakfast area was not there. breakfast came in a bag and no coffee. door dash gave our food to another room. also wanted to charge me another $100 dollars once i got there. when it was already paid for. it was non refundable. I ask just in case it was for insidentals. she said no. for your bag each person had to go get there own.Never have I had this type of stay at a days inn.

After checking in, I received knock on door, saying I didn't pay. I then go back to front desk, pay again. The next day, I ask for towels, housekeeper looks at me like I'm not staying there for two days 😔. I then call front desk about double charge. They assure me I will receive my money. I never received towels or refund. When I checkoutat front desk, I let them know I have not received money back. I am still waiting

Staff was not friendly, the property has had some upgrades but it looks more like they just painted over problem areas rather than make repairs. The location felt sketchy too. I would NOT recommend this place to a family with children or women who are traveling alone. The room was moderately clean but there was an old plastic cup (maybe an old smoothy) between the bed and the nightstand. The outlets did not all work and the main light switch did not work.

This has to be the worst place I have ever stayed in my entire life. The shower was a death trap calling because it was so slippery. On one day of our stay there, we did not even get a new set of towels, let alone room service and trash emptied. I made my view known to the hotel. It will be a long long time before I ever stay in another Days Inn. I really should be asking for my money back from a horrible stay. So, if you can do anything about it, try to get my money back. Thank you.

They need more signage on the road. Otherwise the stay was ok. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. We stayed two nights. There was no housekeeping. We thought someone would at least empty the trash in the room. We would stay there again due to its proximity to Duke and the rates.

There were people outside until 4am partying and talking. That noise made sleep difficult. The property is in need of maintenance. Getting a bit worn-out. The location was convenient.

At check in you are only allowed in between the double doors and a dog is barking at you from the foyer. The clerk gives you the keeps and has you sign that they are not liable for your car in the parking lot. This is though a bullet proof window in between the doors. The location of hotel is behind an Exxon gas station and an old motel 6. So you are out out back.

The best I can say about this Days Inn was that our bed and bathroom were clean. and it was 10 min away from Duke Hospital. The motel is terrible! We will NOT stay there again!

I didn't even check in because the property didn't look clean or updated and the area felt unsafe to me. You had to drive through a gas station parking lot, then past a motel that had people handing out in front of it, then behind that motel was the Days Inn which is not a hotel but a motel. The pictures online do not match the pictures of the property.

Poor access from highway. Shower took 15 minutes to get hot. Cold room - had to turn heat up to 84 to keep it about 70. No breakfast / coffee service except a paper bag containing a few vending machine snacks. Won't be coming here again.

Booked very last minute w/o reading reviews, or likely would gone elsewhere. Property very dated, with updates needed. Sink faucet was about to fall off.Room was clean, as were beds/sheets, but there were several cockroaches in the room. Breakfast was a snack bag w/sunny d and a few wrapped pastries. Staff was nice and though it looked a bit sketchy, all turned out ok for a single night stay.

The Days Inn was absolutely disgusting. Lied about amenities… Pool dirty, restaurant not open, TV in lobby not working, no tea, only decaf coffee in room but not offered at breakfast. In room, the door stuck so had to use force to get in, dirty and old food beside microwave, switches sticky and dirty, broken lamp, broken key chain latch, desk chair cushion dirty… used towels to cover chair before sitting on it, and slept on towels on the sheets and pillows. And worst, cockroaches crawling up door frame... I have a video. Very sketchy people and I believe I witnessed a drug deal. There was no sign on hotel lobby car overhang, just outline where it should’ve been. Rooms not soundproofed at all. I did not feel safe and worried about germs/bugs/rodents the entire time… so gross.

The check in desk felt like I was checking into a jail as the security measures were so prominent. The advertised breakfast was a bag with a small bottle of juice and some crackers and a pastry you would expect to get out of a vending machine. Would choose some place differently next time in Durham.

Breakfast was a joke, a grab bag to go with orange juice, a muffin, and a danish. On the plus side the rooms were clean and the staff friendly, but would not recommend the hotel or the area. Lets just say that when you find a used condom on the walkway, it gives off a very poor impressions.

Stay was fine. Room was a bit outdated but ok. There was what appeared to be "blood splatter" on the wall next to the hair dryer. Probably wasn't but that was what it looked like. The little square pillows are terrible. The bed and coverings were nice and comfortable. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was that it listed breakfast. I really didn't expect that it would be a sunny d and a couple of things in a little bag from behind the front desk.

Would never stay here again. Also, there is not breakfast though its advertised as Breakfast included. They offer a brown bag with really the lowest grade pastry possible. There isn’t even coffee for guests at the lobby. Ice machine is broken and we were told to go to the hotel next door to get ice from their machine. Property condition over all not great. Terrible mushy mattress.

This should not be a property that anyone stays in. We were concerned for our safety there and the lock on the door was broken. There was mold in the bathroom and stains on the e sheets.

The place was okay it was old but looked alright. The continental breakfast was a bag with a package of peanut butter crackers, a small muffin, a small chewy bar, and a small warm bottle of sunny d. The staff wasn't very friendly either. Otherwise it wasn't a bad place.
