OYO Crossroads Inn

Bed was comfortable, shower worked great but…. Dead bugs and a hand full of live spiders all over the room. Carpet was pretty dirty as well.

This is no longer owned by OYO!!! I booked this online and paid in advance. Once I got there I was informed it was not owned by OYO anymore and I needed to cancel. I want to to save the next person the headache!!!

This place really needs to do some serious maintenance and repairs. The first thing I noticed was the missing smoke detector. I found it and the batteries on a shelf above the clothes rack. The lady in the office told me she had to take it down because it was beeping due to low batteries. Two AA batteries should not be too hard to find. This would seem to be a serious safety issue. All of the bathroom fixtures were corroded and covered with hard water deposits. The on/off valve in the bathtub/shower was almost totally inoperable. It worked by pulling out or pushing it in. Almost had to use a prybar to pull it out and a hammer to push it in. The staff was friendly and helpful when they were present. They seemed to leave frequently and leave a note in the office with a number to call if they were needed. I have noted the most serious discrepancies I saw. There were numerous others. If there were any other motels in town I would definitely not stay at this one. A friend that came into town from Oklahoma for the same reunion as myself took one look at the room she got and checked back out and returned to Oklahoma.

The rooms were clean and it was very quiet. The staff are so friendly and helpful

I guess this is a case of you get what you pay for. This motel has an opportunity to be a star in a very small town with very limited options. When I opened the door to the front office the smell of what I can only compare to an animal shelter hit hard. The girl at the front desk was very nice and got me taken care of right away. When I got to my room, I was shocked to discover that I could not lock the deadbolt from inside the room, only with a key from the outside. The doorknob was just a push button lock. I didn’t feel safe at all.
