5 min walk from the Colosseum. Several restaurants and market around the corner. Has a fitness room, which many places I looked at didn't. The area around was ok, but upscale or trendy, but it fits the neighborhood of the Colosseum. The staff was courteous and very friendly and accommodating. There was a pretty good selection of things to eat for the breakfast bar (hot, cold, baked goods). Metro is about 10 min walk away and UBER/Taxi always seemed to be just around the corner and never waited for more than 2-5 mins. My only gripe was there was some construction the first morning I was there, but that was from outside and the wasn't there subsequent days. The staff offered to change rooms if I had wanted. I had a very good stay!

Our stay was excellent! The room was spacious and very comfortable, and the hotel features a beautiful rooftop bar with good views of the Colosseum. The walk to the Colosseum was quick and easy—no more than 10 minutes. The rooftop was a great spot to relax during the day under the shaded areas and especially at night when the views were beautiful. The gym was also well-equipped for light workouts. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would gladly stay here again!

A great stay! Perfect location, just a few blocks from the Colosseum! Steps from local delicious local restaurants and the Rooftop Terrace is an added plus! Breakfast had so many options! Great service overall!

This Hotel was modern and clean with very helpful staff. The biggest plus was its rooftop bar with beautiful views of the coliseum and the breakfast that was available.

The room was lovely. It was well worth getting the deluxe room because it was on a corner and there was a lot of extra space. The room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable. The staff were warm, friendly and professional. Everyone made us feel welcome. The breakfast buffet was also great and well worth including when you book. Lots of options, plus gluten-free things. It was great to have a smart roof terrace. Lots of comfortable seating and a bar. It was quiet in November when we were there, and a great place to relax in the sun with a book, cocktail in hand. There was plenty of room adjacent to the lobby if you need a little space to yourself but don’t have the energy to go out walking for a spell. Sofas and armchairs, coffee tables, water and a small bar. I love that you can walk out of the door and see the Colosseum. I highly recommend the Basilica Di San Clemente just two mins walk around the corner.

Beautiful hotel, very good location. Check-in was a little slow, but they were very good to accommodate us arriving early and storing our bags for us while we explore city. When we arrived back our bags had been brought up to our room which was very much appreciated. Room was fantastic, with a view of the Colosseum. Rooftop bar was really nice where we had late drinks and some food. One of the lifts was out of order that night and first thing in the morning. The other lift only went to the 3rd floor so as our room was on the 4th floor it meant we had to get the lift to the 3rd and take the stairs to the 4th. Wasn’t a huge issue as the main lift was back working before we checked out so it didn’t cause a problem carrying baggage. Overall a very nice hotel, reasonably priced and good location. Would use again and recommend.

The hotel is old, both in the building and the furniture, but that gives it a lot of character. Even with its age, the quality is still there. The amenities could use a little freshening up, but again, no complaints. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options, served on a terrace overlooking the Colosseum. The same space doubles as a restaurant for dinner, offering a great view with your meal. The staff were great, especially Louisiana at the front desk. She was super helpful, friendly, and really made our stay better with her recommendations. The bed was two doubles pushed together to make a king. It was comfortable enough. Room service was also good. The location is fantastic—close to the Colosseum in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Perfect for exploring. The complimentary lemon and cranberry flavored water at reception was a nice touch and really helped after a hot day of walking.They do offer valet parking, which is expensive (42 €), but that’s just Rome. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want a hotel with character, good service, and a prime location.

Overall, the stay at this hotel was pretty average. The staff was pleasant to interact with and the bartender in the bar below was excellent. The rooms are comfortable with good bedding and pillows. It is on the quiet side and bit further away from some of the busier and exciting areas in town (spanish steps, etc). But is in a great location if you are looking for a place near the colosseum (six minute walk). House keeping did a good job of cleaning the room but the tea / coffee were not refilled regularly and neither was the body wash. The most disappointing part was the bathroom. We had two connecting rooms and the smaller bathroom had a shower area that was an extremely small enclosed square with no lighting. The bathroom smelled like mildew and it had a noticeably bad smell all the time. We developed an allergy after two days of staying there and when looking around we noticed that the bathroom had a lot of black mold on the ceiling of the shower area. It was not immediately noticeable as the shower area does not have any lights. We took a video of the same but not sure if we can share it in this review. To give the hotel credit they did “clean” the mold after we informed them of it but were not apologetic about it and almost seemed annoyed. Additionally, in the second bathroom the water did not flow in the sink smoothly and the sink would just fill up while using it. In summary, if not for the mold in the bathroom would probably have given it a 4 rating.

Wir waren da von 26.7.25 bis 1.8.25. Sehr schönes Hotel nahe an vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, man konnte zu Fuß viele erreichen. Gute Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel. Wir sind um 14.30 Uhr angekommen und hat geheißen das unsere Zimmer ist nicht fertig erst um 15 Uhr, war kein Problem da erst um 15 Uhr check-in war, aber das um 15.25 Uhr nicht fertig ist und ich müsste fragen wann unsere Zimmer fertig ist finde ich nicht schön. An manchen Personal von Rezeption wurde ich empfehlen mehr Freundlichkeit, sonst rest der Personal war sehr freundlich. Zimmer war sauber bei ankommen. Leider muss ich ein stern abziehen weil der ganze Aufenthalt wurde jeden Tag nur die Bett gemacht und saubere Handtücher hingelegt aber nie ein Tag gewischt oder mit staubsauger sauber gemacht obwohl wir haben den Karte draußen hingebracht wo stand Zimmer reinigen, man erwartetviel mehr Hygiene von einem 4 Sterne . Frühstück war ausreichend und vielfältig, haben auch eine Schöne Terrasse. Sonst war alles in Ordnung. Trotzdem wurden ich denn Hotel weiterempfehlen, müssen beim Kleinigkeit etwas ändern wie ich oben geschrieben habe. Schöne Grüße Lucia

This hotel is a bit dated. Carpet needs to be replaced. It is quiet, clean and near Colosium. I thought it was a little pricey. Staff is great and friendly.

Immaculate room with air con you can control, amazing shower, and really quiet. Very convenient location to the Colosseum and nearby restaurants. The only annoyance was no iron and no self-service laundry, but this is fairly common for Italy hotels.

Stayed here for the weekend of my wedding and really enjoyed it! The room was beautiful and the staff were excellent. The only thing I noticed is that the room did not have a lot of power plugs. The breakfast was also amazing!! I also liked that the hotel is located in an area that is not too busy so our Ubers could come by easily.
Stayed here for the weekend of my wedding and really enjoyed it! The room was beautiful and the staff were excellent. The only thing I noticed is that the room did not have a lot of power plugs. The breakfast was also amazing!! I also liked that the hotel is located in an area that is not too busy so our Ubers could come by easily.

Good 4 night stay. Service at the front desk on check in and check out was great. We didn't fully utilize all the amenities, but enjoyed a free welcome drink on the terrace. Room was comfortable and clean, no major issues. The bed wasn't great - instead of a king, got 2 twins pushed together (which isn't uncommon in Europe), however one of the twin mattresses was flipped upside down so the pillow top was on the bottom and we could feel the springs and wires on the sleeping surface. We briefly considered flipping the mattress over the correct way ourselves, but decided we didn't want to find out if there was a reason it had been flipped over... The neighbourhood is pretty good for tourists. A good number of local restaurants that offered tasty food (Contrario Bistro was a favourite). Groceries, gelato, and even a couple fun gay bars within a few blocks. Around the corner from St. Clemente Basilica, which was a bit of a hidden gem - worth a visit to the excavated archeological site beneath. Down the street from the Coliseum. 10 minute walk to the metro. Overall, a great stay. Wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

This property is well situated for walking to all the major sites, including the Colosseum. Their rooftop restaurant has a view of the Colosseum. The room was lovely. It was well worth getting the deluxe room because it was on a corner and there was a lot of extra space. The room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable. The staff were warm, friendly and professional. Everyone made us feel welcome. The breakfast buffet was also great and well worth including when you book. Lots of options, plus gluten-free things. It was great to have a smart roof terrace. Lots of comfortable seating and a bar. It was quiet in November when we were there, and a great place to relax in the sun with a book, cocktail in hand. There was plenty of room adjacent to the lobby if you need a little space to yourself but don’t have the energy to go out walking for a spell. Sofas and armchairs, coffee tables, water and a small bar. I love that you can walk out of the door and see the Colosseum. I highly recommend the Basilica Di San Clemente just two mins walk around the corner.

We enjoyed our recent stay at this hotel. We have no criticisms, but we feel the following points might be of help to the management. Our room (302) lay directly underneath the dining/breakfast room. From around 6.30am, we could hear the scraping of chair legs as the furniture was moved. Similarly, we had the same distraction in the evening as guests moved their chairs towards or away from the tables. This would happen until around 11.00pm. Perhaps felt pads or rubber feet on the chair legs would alleviate this problem? Room 302 suffered from regular internet connection loss. Is this a blind corner, as internet connect was excellent elsewhere in the hotel? We hope that our observations will prove helpful.

This is a great boutique hotel. Newly renovated with spacious clean rooms. Located near the Colosseum with lots of restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Katie was awesome. They arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport. When our prearranged car canceled the night before we were to leave for the port, the staff quickly arranged their car company to pick us up and take us to the port. Restaurant was good. Breakfasts were also good. Will definitely stay here the next time we are in Rome!

I can't begin to say enough wonderful things about the hotel. The area is amazing! There are plenty of food options close by and transportation is readily available. There are 2 train stations located just a short walk from the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For me, the little things speak the most. I celebrated my birthday during our trip and the staff surprised me with a bottle of champagne. The cold water offered when we returned everyday was very thoughtful. The rooftop bar is an amazing way to end the night. We felt appreciated as guests. We are already planning a return trip later this year. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The front desk was very friendly, helpful beyond belief and a pleasure to talk to. My wallet fell under the bed, I hadn’t noticed, and only when we were far onto our next destination did I notice they had been trying to reach me to tell me. They organized shipping it to me and I’m very grateful.

Great stay, hotel is convenient for get about Rome, close to Colosseo metro station which is only 2 stops from main train station Roma Termini. Room was a great size and very clean. Lovely rooftop bar. Staff on reception were very helpful, gave us a few good nearby restaurants.

We’ve previously stayed here when it was known as the Hotel Capo D’Africa. It’s been renovated with a beautiful rooftop bar overlooking the Colosseum, with great vibes. Rooms are also newly renovated and the hotel is greatly located. Staff were super friendly. I would definitely stay here again

I was very surprised to have several (not all) of the male staff members at this hotel treat my husband very cold. One of the persons at the front desk with brown(slightly longer hair) randomly stopped my husband and demanded he tell him his name and room number, while several people passed him without being selected to give their info. My husband asked why he was asking him for his info and not the others and the front desk man wouldn't tell him why but still demanded it. We had several other moments of rude behavior from male staff however there were several kind staff that we appreciated. A lady name Alice who worked at the breakfast buffet was genuine and friendly and went far and above to welcome us and meet any needs we had. We also had a kind man (blond) at the front desk who checked us out. My Hubby is from Jamaica and in all of our travels, he (we) have never experienced such disrespect from certain staff at a hotel. Maybe the hotel is not aware of the certain ones that are small minded and treat people based on their own ignorance, so it is good for them to know and deal with those particular staff members. Alice and staff like her truly make up for the bad ones, and the hotel is blessed to have decent ones like her.

Breakfast was ok, not many hot options but it is a buffet after all however good selection of pastries and fruits. Location is close to the Colosseum however quite a distance to Trevi fountain or central Rome and taxi is around 25 euros each way.

Excellent location. Just a couple minutes walk to the Coliseum. Modern and clean facilities. We had to wait about 30 mins after the check in time, 3:00 pm, which was a turn down but the stay was excellent.

Primero lo positivo, muy buena ubicación, la habitación superior es muy espaciosa y confortable. La cama, las almohadas y la ropa de cama excelentes. La entrada no es muy cómoda si llevas maletas, hay varias gradas que subir y resulta complicado. Le desayuno estaba un poco más restringido que el de otros hoteles que visitamos.

Increíble habitación y el servicio del staff es MARAVILLOSO. Sus atenciones son de las mejores que hemos tenido en algún viaje; hasta nos regalaron una botella por nuestro cumpleaños. La ubicación del hotel es extraordinaria. Le puse 4 estrellas porque el servicio en el restaurante/terraza, a la hora de cenar, no era nada bueno. Fueron bastante groseros hasta que se enteraron que eramos huéspedes, ahí la atención cambió pero se nos hizo decepcionante ese tipo de ocmportamientos para el público en general. Además, la habitación que teníamos estaba junto al bar y a un cuarto como de servicio del hotel y siempre había mucho ruido en las noches y nos despertábamos varias veces en la noche porque las paredes son muy delgadas. Fuera de eso, todo IMPECABLE, MARAVILLOSO Y CON EL SERVICIO DEL STAFF DEL HOTEL INCREÍBLE. Muchas gracias por hacer nuestro cumpleaños fantástico.

We booked this hotel as part of a longer trip and wanted to be located near the train station but within walking distance to the Coliseum and the historic city sites. The hotel room was very comfortable and after a long day, the rooftop restaurant was perfect for a meal and watching the sunset!

The room was lovely. It was well worth getting the deluxe room because it was on a corner and there was a lot of extra space. The room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable. The staff were warm, friendly and professional. Everyone made us feel welcome. The breakfast buffet was also great and well worth including when you book. Lots of options, plus gluten-free things. It was great to have a smart roof terrace. Lots of comfortable seating and a bar. It was quiet in November when we were there, and a great place to relax in the sun with a book, cocktail in hand. There was plenty of room adjacent to the lobby if you need a little space to yourself but don’t have the energy to go out walking for a spell. Sofas and armchairs, coffee tables, water and a small bar. I love that you can walk out of the door and see the Colosseum. I highly recommend the Basilica Di San Clemente just two mins walk around the corner.

This is a great boutique hotel. Newly renovated with spacious clean rooms. Located near the Colosseum with lots of restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Katie was awesome. They arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport. When our prearranged car canceled the night before we were to leave for the port, the staff quickly arranged their car company to pick us up and take us to the port. Restaurant was good. Breakfasts were also good. Will definitely stay here the next time we are in Rome!

My mother and I stayed one night on Sept 11. Overall experience was wonderful minus a minor mix-up with our room once we checked in, as they had left us a bottle of prosecco and a honeymoon note which we had a good laugh about later on. Additionally, we did have someone bang on our door thinking we were in their room later that afternoon. However, overall, the staff were very accommodating, assisted us with our taxis, directions to local attractions, and with lunch/restaurant suggestions. The head manager was very helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed our stay and the rooftop breakfast and bar were a nice bonus (especially in the evening as you can actually see the Colosseum and get some great shots). The breakast selection had plenty of great options - both .delicious and healthy and the price per person is very reasonable. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend this hotel due to it's close proximity to the Colosseum as well as to other neighborhoods such as Monti. The staff were all very professional and accomodating and the room was super clean. They also had ports to charge your cell phone right next to the bed which we found very convenient. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. We also loved hanging out on the rooftop bar in the evenings, enjoying a cocktail. The convenience of the location (near the Colesseum) worked well for us. Overall, we felt the hotel was very comfortable and had a great atmosphere.
