Spark by Hilton Chincoteague Island

The location of this hotel is probably its best feature. There is a deck over the marsh beside the property which offered lots of opportunities to view the landscape and shore wildlife. Mcdonald's is across the street and the Chincoteague Museum is right next door. The room was spacious and clean but there was no dresser or table. Beds were comfortable. We especially liked the separate sink in the dressing area outside of the bathroom. The breakfast bar had minimal options with only bagels, muffins, fruit, cereal and yogurt. The workout room had three pieces of equipment, and the pool was very nice. There was a fire pit in front. There is parking in front and also in back. On the last night, those lots filled up and we were directed to go to the museum parking lot next door. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. If you have the app, you can communicate with them through text. It was pricey in August but may be more affordable during the off season.

Very clean and pleasant property. Walking distance (less than 2.5 miles) to the beach. Easy walk to good food. Very attentive staff.

Very convenient hotel close to everything. Love the bridge over the marsh with a beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Decent breakfast. Will definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed staying at the Best Western for our family weekend in Chincoteague. We arrived early before our room was ready and the manager was very helpful. She let us use the pool and lounge area while we waited. The pool was absolutely fabulous. We really enjoyed all of the plants, flowers and landscape. The room was comfortable and quiet. I noticed the maintenance gentleman took great care in keeping the grounds clean. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend. We will be back for a fall trip!

Had a great time at the Best Western in Chincoteague, VA. Staff was great! Breakfast was very good, we really enjoyed the proximity to everything and our family really liked the pool.

Room spotless, well appointed, plentiful hooks for coats and belongings. Lots of towels. Good breakfast, coffee maker in room. The staff was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful.

Paid almost 5oo for 1 night and there was zero value or comfort to my stay. It took 3 trips to the front desk to get my key to work. Upon entry to my room there was no shower curtain, towels or bathmat. Soap and shampoo dispensers were empty. There was dirty toilet paper behind the toilet and pubic hair still in the shower/tub. There were only 2 flat pillows on a king size bed and the flat sheet was missing. Trash cans had no liners and there was no ice to be found on the third floor. Unsupervised children nearby were feeding the seagulls which were pooping on bacony furniture, in the pool and deck furniture. No staff outside meant kids were screaming, playing portable speakers and building fires. Thankfully there was a secondary lock on my door as the cleaning staff knocked & immediately entered within 2 seconds. The young female employee giggled and said oops sorry. I asked about the condition of the room and showed her mildew and she said she leaves when her manager tells her to. I went to breakfast after being walked in on and it was sad. The center table was filthy, the food consisted of bruised apples and bananas, sandwich bread and broken bagels. There was an empty cereal dispenser and both juices were empty. I asked about any hot foods or cold milk and the lady told me there was a McDonalds across the street. Between the noise from outside until midnight, lack of parking, indifferent employees and filth of the room; I'm certain I will never return to this location.

Wonderful staff. I was shocked when I passed the front desk the next morning and I was greeted by first name. Very friendly and pleasant. Hotel was clean, good location, nice view.

The staff was incredible, pool was lovely and the room was comfortable and clean. Will definitely stay again next time we visit

My frustration with the place was when I walked in the sand that was in the hallway, and in the bathroom was significantly more than if I had run a vacuum cleaner over it. I realize we’re near a beach, but I need to have a clean room if you are going to have to pay over $300 per night. The tub was dirty with spiders crawling in it. Comforters on top of the beds were dirty they looked as though they had been on the beds for at least three weeks. On the other hand, the bed was comfortable, sheets and towels were clean, and the breakfast was an outstanding variety. The front desk was very helpful when I asked directions for places. I would not give more that 3/5 stars.

This is the PERFECT hotel for those visiting Chinoteague National Wildlife Refuge; the bridge to the NWR is basically just down the street a few minutes away. Check-in was fast and friendly. Room was super comfortable and clean. We even had a balcony outside! Good Wi-Fi but the TV was too hard to figure out with strange channel numbers.

Unfortunately, we had an interaction with a staff member that was unprofessional and extremely unpleasant. She exhibited aggressive behavior, and we were not treated with respect.

Hotels.com represents this hotel as pet friendly, so I booked and opted to pay at the property. When I arrived, the manager said it was NOT pet friendly, and wouldn’t allow it. The manager said I would “not be charged” and “not to worry” about it. I left and had to find another hotel. I was charged the full amount two days later on top of paying the second hotel for the same night. This hotel is still listed as pet friendly, so beware.

The new Spark Hotel on Chincoteague Island was bright cheery and absolutely spotless. The staff we all amazingly friendly and very helpful

Our special thank you to Kedrick and the entire group at the front desk and housekeeping. Kedrick is Super friendly and helped make our 25 th anniversary even better. He left a hand written note, a smalll Champaign bottle and was very helpful with anything we could need in the hotel and in the island Housekeeping made our room up each day and was bery clean and friendly walkways with a smile We will definitely be back and will call directly Thank you again to our new friend Kedrick! The hotel is clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk was very kind. We got to the hotel much earlier than the check in time cause my daughter was exhausted from our early morning kayak tour, and the lady at the front desk was compassionate and let us check in early!

This hotel has a lot going for it beginning with location: the causeway to Assateague Island is fifty feet from the front door. The staff was friendly and provided excellent dining recommendations, my room appeared to be freshly redecorated and was very clean.

Amazing staff and room. Free breakfast had ALL the options and I was so grateful, plus it was delicious.

I thought their breakfast choices were rather limited versus what we’ve come accustomed to at similar lodging facilities with a breakfast included.

The staff at front desk, especially Kendrick is just amazing. They go out of their way to address issues or concerns. My only suggestions is that they BRING BACK THE HOT BREAKFAST and place a corn hole game outside for all to enjoy. We will definitely be back.....

No hot breakfast. They had a good variety and all tasted good! Love all day coffee and tea. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Loved the landscape very pretty and maintained.
