Belvilla Llandudno Seafront Hotel

We stayed two nights and really liked the location. It is situated at the the quieter end of the beautiful promenade. We loved that this part of the prom is free parking right outside the front door, compared to 500metres along where it is meter parking. Do not park at the hotels limited rear parking as has afe. It, like most of the hotels along the prom are well kept and a treat to look at. Our ground floor room was fine and generally comfortable with all ammenities you would expect (tea/coffee, hairdryer). It is a little dated but stille perfectly good for a budget stay in a nice hotel. A few things to constructively critique. The young lady who checked us in and out was nice enough but lacking the welcoming enthusiasm I would expect at a hotel reception. There was zero advice about facilities available in the hotel such as a bar or restaurant. So missed opportunity for potential upsales. The other young lady (blondish hair) on duty after our first night was a delight, couldn't do enough, gave each other a good laugh. On leaving, we pointed out the mattress needs replacing as the springs had gone and it was moderately compensated by the mattress topper. This was in room 130. I do hope this is an exception to all other rooms and will be replaced forthwith. Otherwise, a great place for a relaxing break.

Liked the room. Sea views in 2 directions. Comfortable beds and pillows. Good supplies of tea and coffee making supplies. Plenty of hot water. It's a bit of a maze to find your way around and has a few creaky floors, but it's an old building - a charming one. I really liked it.

Free street parking around the area. The hotel took a little of time to find as the postcode took me to the other side of the block & my data signal was terrible. Check-in was nice & simple. The lift is limited to two persons so had to wait a while for that. The room was clean & had a nice view of the sea. There was a take-away & grocery shop around the corner so made it easy to grab something to eat & some provisions for the following day.

Room needs a little fridge. And aircon. The lift a little bit weary

Wardrobe door had dropped so didn’t close properly. Extractor fan in internal en-suite was not working and could not be repaired during our 3 night stay. Opted not to have room cleaned during our stay. but clean towels requested not delivered. Breakfasts @£12 per person had been ‘stripped’ an hour before service ended and included basic items in any case. Bakery items stale. Hot items dried out and trays virtually empty. Parking sufficient in roads adjacent to hotel. Charge of £6 for 24 hrs in small hotel car park at rear, if booked in advance and available. Internet access good and free. Hotel is fine if all you need a large room and comfy beds in central area. However, 1 mile walk along promenade to most amenities.

Older hotel. Tiny elevator. We appreciated that a fan was provided. We do not recommend the buffet breakfast. Cost was refunded when we expressed our disappointment with the breakfast, which was great.

Nice dog friendly Victorian hotel on the seafront. Breakfast was great . Lots of choice and pleasant staff. We went out of season so not many people around so very relaxing stay . Parking could be a problem if it was in season as they have limited spaces .but all the hotels on the promenade have the same problem !

Great location, right in front of the beach and east access to everything within the centre of Llandudno. The room was a great size, plenty of space. We weren't advised about having to pre-book a parking space at the hotel so we'd to find spaces out front or in a side street. There were spaces so not too stressful. The lift is very snug and corridors very narrow to rooms. Our room was facing the beach and under the main bar / restaurant area. We were woken up 5am to loud music coming from directly underneath us. Thankfully we were tired enough to fall back to sleep and didn't wake our 10yr old son. We loved how the hotel was dog friendly too so would definitely stay again and next time, bring our furbaby too!!

The room was ok, just a bit tired could do with update. The shower was good. The lift was small and a bit scary

Great location with superb view of the bay. Staff are helpful and attentive if not particularly welcoming. My room is clean and well stocked with free tea and coffee. Unfortunately there's no water pressure in the shower (sink pressure is o.k.) and this wing of the building has been rather primitively partitioned and plastered. Good breakfast however. Contrary to the entry on Expedia this hotel has no proprietary parking, so one has to rely on finding a space on the street; I dare say this is a problem during high season.

Everything clean where it should be staff we're helpful and pleasant which made for a really good stay

Reception staff were friendly and pleasant on our arrival. Our room was warm and clean. Bar and dining room staff helpful and breakfast was enjoyable. All in all a good stay. Thank you

Very dissapointed in the hotel the room was basic there was thick dust on the woodwork the hotel was dirty throughout very dated and unhygienic. The carpets throughout the hotel were disgusting they were worn and very stained . You could see a build up of dust throughout the entire woodwork of the hotel. The entrance floor tiles were rotten and needed hoovering and mopping . The breakfasts was awful and the hotel was just like faulty towers I would not recommend it avoid staying here 😡

Room was basic but everything was spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable. Very quiet. Staff were helpful. Breakfast, a very good selection and very pleased.

The bed was ok but the room wasn’t too clean found hairs in the bath and a used cotton bud on the floor The room was tired and needed painting and updating the tiles in the bathroom had mould and didn’t look too inviting Tge staff were friendly helpful and courteous

Stains on the carpets and on ceilings and walls ftom water damage, trims on shower tray hanging off not very clean n every thing in much need of renovation, bar and restaurant arer was nice but still wouldnt recommend this hotel.

Room not good poor bathroom mouldy also shower curtain mouldyneeds total refurbishment extractor put in. Bed. Needed sheets not a duvet and cover. Damp above window curtain hanging . Lovely in bar seating areas as you come in shock when you see rooms. Only good thing is the breakfast lots of choise and the staff lovely

First off the room aren't as described /shown on the website. Our room was a double every bathroom pic shows a pic with shower ours had a small walk in cubical the area for the sink was very small. The bathroom door didnt work right its a sliding door and kept on sticking my partnergot stucka couple of times. The pics shows a tassimo machine there wasnt one! the floors were only hoovered where you walk nothing moved the towels are only changed if asked for they are not changed everyday. We did say about the bathroom door and we were moved to a room which was more like the pics shown but even in there we found a dog biscuit in the middle of room.

Great staff and service. Bedroom and bathroom spacious and clean. Very white clean bedding and towels. Mattress on single bed very lumpy and uncomfortable. Window handles hanging off. Great location.

I had a lovely spacious corner room with sea views. The bed and pillows were so comfortable i had the best nights sleep id had in a while. The staff were so friendly and always on hand if you needed them. Great location on the sea front. I would stay again.

Don't book a twin room if you're a big bloke because the beds are tiny. We paid extra to go into a family room after the first night but in both rooms I never managed to find the one floorboard which didn't creak. It would be a lovely place if it had an upgrade. The staff were excellent and very friendly but the hotel is a bit run down compared to the ones around it.

Room was a good size with a sea view, bathroom was on the small size. 2 pillows were very much appreciated, though little sleep was had as the room was too warm. Breakfast was plentiful.

first room i was given the curtain was hanging off the rail. second room carpet stained and old, bathroom tiny but clean. fire door next to my room slammed constantly, very frustrating.

Like … next to theatre & sea view Dislike … lamp with bear wires (copper strands)hanging out of switch , toilet kept filling , tv no good , musky smell all over ,….Dated

Rooms not ready for over two hours many guests sat in reception . Staff seemed disinterested. We get to room and on way corridors filled with dirty bedding and waste from rooms. No towels in room . Curtains hanging off . Moved bed to find dirty ear buds all over floor. Day of check out staff at reception not even a hello or thanks for stay just put your keys there while they sat off on phones.

Staff where outstanding so helpful

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make myself and my son, who has special needs feel welcome and looked after. The hotel is well situated with easy access to the beach, shopping and restaurants. A short and pleasant walk to the pier and other attractions This hotel boasts a variety of well kept rooms with all the usual facilities. It’s USP are the people who run it, who are kind, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

when we arrived their were 2 members of staff who made we wait 5 minutes.The did not greet with afternoon or hello.The female staff said name which I gave .She handed me a form to sign .Saying sign here and here no please or thank you and handed the key to me.We found the lift round the corner of reception and went to are room.Whilst in the lift was moving it a creeky and juddering and we were both when glad we arrived at our floor.Found found our bedroom but my husband had to make several atempts to turn the key and had to lean on the door and push it several times until it opened.The room was cleanabd bedding was clean.The wallpaper over the bed had been badly patched and look a mess.We struggled to close the window as it had been pushed open very wide and my husband managed eventually to close it.There was adequate tea coffee and milk but you had to emty it onto the table do uou could make a drink and leave it there as their wasn't a vontainer the put the remainder of the supplies. When we went into the bar the man behind the bar gave no greetinv just said what do yiu want to drink.My husband asked for a Talisker single malt whisky which he didnt know where it was on his shelves. Then my husband requested just water in it abd he gave him ice.We didnt gave breakfast as we were a room only basis.The exterior of the hotel dies not give the building justice. Its tired paint flaking off it.The garden at the front as over grown and looked unkept.

At 3am myself and my partner were stood outside the hotel for 40 minutes in the rain as the night porter was actually fast asleep. I was knocking on the windows and doors and even called the hotel a few times and he did not wake. Then a guest actually come and opened the door and i tried to actually wake him over the desk to explain how dangerous it is to keep the guests locked out of the building and he still didnt wake! In all fairness to the managers they have been very good and are dealing with the matter. But if you was left on your own at that time in the morning outside on the beach front this could be really scary for the individual. If the guests didnt come and open the door i would have had to of slept in my partners van or we considered spending £301 on a hotel which would have been a half an hour walk.

The hotel staff were so welcoming, it had such a nice feel. very clean, and great value for money

Staff were friendly, they all work hard to make sure stay is enjoyable. Room very clean. Plenty towels and tea/coffee in room. Looks like they are cleaning outside up, needs it as bit weather worn. Breakfast was lovely always plenty. Beautiful decor inside , lovely seating areas to relax in.

Perfect mid-prom location for general sight seeing, dog friendly.

I spent just the 1 night at the hotel with my 5 year old daughter. I was worried when arriving, as there was scaffolding all around the building, but this didn't affect our stay with banging or anything. The receptionist was very friendly both on arrival and check out. On the way to our room, there was a fire door which had its soft close mechanism broken and this would stop the door opening fully and bang each time, which was difficult to get through with a suitcase, so just needs fixing. The room itself was perfect for me and my daughter, though the floor boards were very creeky, but this didn't affect our stay, just my neuroses. For what I paid, I was very satisfied with my stay and I would stay again.

The hotel position is absolutely perfect and right on the front facing the sea , my stay was absolutely perfect , it's about a 20 minute walk into town or bus stop is near by.

We stayed for 3 nights for a Birthday celebration. With beautiful views from our sea view room. Parking was easy and right in front of the hotel entrance. Breakfast made fresh to order and of very good quality. Staff are very pleasant & friendly. They were very welcoming, helpful and dog friendly to our 2 pooches. The only criticism would be the Skirting and corners in the room was quite dusty. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and picture rails in the dining room. But overall an enjoyable stay.

Hotel was conveniently situated on the main promenade with an easy walk to the main shopping area and the pier. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself was a bit tired, and could do with a refurb. The heating in my room didn't work but an electric radiator was supplied, which kept the chill off. The food was basic fare. Cooked Breakfast over the weekend was buffet style, with cereal, yogurt, toast available also. During the week it was by request for the full breakfast or adjust it to suit your taste. Bar meal available in the evening. The first night I had Sausage and mash with onion gravy, which was excellent and very filling. I dined out the rest of the time as lots of options within walking distance.

Only managed one night, we wished it could have been more, best part of the stay was the breakfast, simply brilliant with very pleasant dining/bar area. Our room, was worth the money (with a sea view), yes it did need updating, which we can see money is being spent on the property, so it looks like it would be in the plans, hotel is right on the front which is great and ideal for walking the dog either along the prom or in Queen’s Park. Staff were very friendly and helpful even offering to sit with our dog so we could fetch our breakfast, excellent!

Hotel was cold and draughty. Not told unable to get food due to no chef few. visitors staying in hotel, n ow we know why breakfast was limited as most items run out and all was cool. asked why room had not been cleaned and told should ask. Jumped ship on Monday and will not return again

The web site promised much, the reality was much different. The restaurant was only open for breakfast, breakfast itself was very basic especially the cooked option, as this was an extra charge it was not value for money. My room was described as a Superior Twin, the picture shown had a table and chairs, it was spacious and rather nice, the reality was no room for table or chairs, it was very cramped. Bath robes and telephone were promised but neither were there. We never had a visit by house-keeping, so beds were never made or refreshments replenished. We paid for a sea view, this was obscured by a refuse shute from roof repairs down to a skip, plus a large sign advertising the scaffolding company. The room seems to have recently been partially refurbished but one of the bedside cabinets was very poorly assembled so was unusable, the bedside reading lights were broken. I understand the Hotel was under new Management, so I am guessing that what was promised was what might be in the future, so the website was premature. Despite all of the above the staff we met were charming and helpful so we stayed the course. I only wish I could attach a few pictures as they could prove my words are not a moan, but hard truth. GH.

Clean room, nice staffs, good breakfast and good WiFi
