Excellent all the way around. Great location just minutes away from the Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia in a safe & clean tourist district where most are fluent in English. Lots of shops & restaurants. Convenience store next door. Nice room, clean, great staff helpful & friendly, great fresh breakfast with view of Hagia Sophia & Bosphorus. Great central location across from the Four Seasons. The restaurant upstairs is delicious for lunch & dinner, we visited for both, with a very charming, attentive, and professional staff. The best hotel asset is their manager, Yakup, an absolute gem. He helped us with our luggage, dazzled us with fabulous stories of his travels, enriched us with a better understanding of Istanbul & Turkey, and checked on on us to make sure we were happy and comfortable during our stay, availablefor any requests. Would definitely stay again. Superb.

Excellent location, near all the main tourist attractions, few minutes of walking distance to Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque and other historicsl sites. The service was also excellent, always ready to help you with finding parking for your car, or assisting with other issues.The included breakfast was exceptional, served at the terace restaurant of the hotel, with to order options for eggs and french fries, accompanied by a variety of cheeses.

Great experience. Definitely come back to this place. Delicious food in the restaurant, fantastic view from the rooftop. Small but charming room, very comfortable bed. A little gem at the heart of the historic centre of Istanbul.

Hidden gem, truly. The staff is super friendly. They have a beautiful terrace with a fantastic view. Location is also wonderful. I definitely will stay again upon my return to Istanbul.

Nette Mitarbeiter und sehr schöne Aussicht von der Terrasse aus. Frühstück war in Ordnung. Die Sauberkeit in den Zimmer ist mangelhaft, unter anderem benutzte Zahnpasta und Zahnbürsten… die Wände hellhörig und in der Nacht sehr laut.

Alle meine Erwartungen wurden erfüllt. Lage ist top, Mitarbeiter sehr nett, wlan bestens. Im Herzen aller Sehenswürdigkeiten von Sultanahmet. Komme gern wieder.

The hotel is in a fantastic part of Istanbul - very close to all of the main attractions. We had the apartment which was huge with very comfortable beds. The staff were lovely and very friendly. We did find that the apartment wasn’t well ventilated though and a bit smelly. Otherwise, perfect for a quick getaway in great location.

Me and my wife went for first time to Turkiye, our experience in this Hotel could not be better, everyrthing about this place is just wonderfull. The Restaurant staff, every single person that was during the breakfast, lunch or dinner was friendly, respectful, reliable and professional. The room was always clean, the ladies who are cleaning the rooms are so njce, the recepcion guys are perfect, always with a smile in their face, helping and ready to serive you in anything you need. I would like to express our special gratitude to Yakup who made our stay at the Hotel more than pleasent. Overall I will recomend this Hotel for everything...It's just the perfect place to be in Istambul. Thank you.

The staff was super helpful, giving us good tips and guidance. The hotel was clean though simple and basic. Water was warm, beds hard (maybe comfortable for those who like a very firm mattress). The hotel is in a great location - walking distance to all the major sites and the metro/trams. It is in a busy part of town, so you will hear the street sounds outside your window.

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado y la gente es muy amable. Las habitaciones están bien pero son en la mayoría pequeñas y sobre todo los baños necesitan algún arreglo, igual que el wifi que no estaba funcionando muy bien. El lugar de desayuno tiene una vista maravillosa, muchas opciones para comer, pero hay momentos que atiende una sola persona que solo habla turco y se hace muy difícil de entenderse.

We had a lovely stay. The rooms are small but well presented and have everything you need. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and their hospitality added to our trip. Great location to visit the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace which are all within a few minutes stroll. Recommended.

We were smitten by the reviews and liked the location but the room was not as advertised inside a hotel. It was in a dilapidated apartment next door through some stairs in severe need of TLC. The second room did not have a real sofa bed as advertised - just two parts of the couch that they slid together. Moreover, we were surprised when the power went out one night and there was no heat in the room on a cold December night, and the hot water heater was broken so no hot shower. Even when the power returned, no one came by to fix it as promised and no action was taken to until I insisted with management. Even after they fixed the hot water heater, the tiny shower alternated between hot and cold every 5 seconds making it useless. Because of the cold, they eventually did let us borrow a very small hotel room that hadn’t sold that night in their main building just big enough for two of us, while the other two doubled up under blankets in a cold room. There was a clothes washer in the room, but the door was broken and would not unlatch after a cycle. The employees at the front desk were very pleasant and very polite and, if not for them, we would have walked out in rage. The manager seemed sympathetic to our situation but refused to offer us any solution to our problem nor give us any credit for the issues and refused to even respond to hotels.com when I opened a case. The location is very good and the property has potential if it is given some attention and is renovated. Good luck

Super friendly staff and a great central location. The hotel needs a bit of improvement works. Our room looked a bit shabby, the sink in the bathroom leaked (reported to staff), the shower leaked on to the bathroom floor (reported to staff). The curtains did not close fully so the early morning light woke us up very early. Breakfast included however we did not have it every morning as a limited choice. Would not go back as there is many more hotels to choose from.

Lovely area but unfortunately my daughter’s very expensive headphones were stolen from her bag. We’d left our luggage in the hotel for an hour while waiting on our room to be ready. Couldn’t really enjoy it as kept wondering was there something else stolen.
Lovely area but unfortunately my daughter’s very expensive headphones were stolen from her bag. We’d left our luggage in the hotel for an hour while waiting on our room to be ready. We had a lovely stay. The rooms are small but well presented and have everything you need. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and their hospitality added to our trip. Great location to visit the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace which are all within a few minutes stroll. Recommended.

An emergency meant I had to quickly find a place within budget. As a solo traveller this meant safe, clean and welcoming. This little hotel ticks all those things but the staff are what made my stay memorable. Harun went out of his way to make sure that I got where I needed to be and checked in on me throughout the whole emergency, even negotiations with the cost of my transport last minute. On top of all this wonderful service, the location makes this hotel worthy of 5 stars.

This hotel was fantastic. The staff went out of their way to help us when we realised that we'd gotten halfway to the airport with one of our passports left behind. They took the initiative to help us avoid a disaster. I have never been treated so good at any hotel, and we are world travelers. I give them my highest possible endorsement.

The hotel is in a good location. It is a short walk to Ayasofya. Only two staff members were friendly, but the rest were unfriendly. The room was relatively clean, but when I used the shower in the bathroom, the toilet side got flooded and never dried. There is a restaurant on the top floor, and you can see Ayasofya and the sea. They don't know who is a restaurant guest and who is a hotel guest, so if you don't eat at the restaurant, it's very awkward to go there just to see the view. Even when you go to the restaurant for breakfast, you have to say that you are a hotel guest, which is a hassle. Breakfast is a la carte, but I don't really understand the system. Is the staff new? He didn't really understand either.

This is my first negative review ever. I booked this property because it has good reviews. There was an error in my booking and we were placed in the apartments. I asked about breakfast and they said it wasn’t included in the apartments. I said okay (I was only staying here for 1 nights as I was passing through so it wasn’t a big deal). The owner of the hotel spoke to me the next day and started yelling at me. I didn’t understand why because I didn’t ask for a call or any help and told him as much. He continued yelling at me for 20 minutes! He even threatened that he would call the tourism police because I did not pay. I told him that I had proof of payment and that Expedia takes money right at the time of booking. He said that he hasn’t received it yet because they pay him after I leave. I had no intention of writing anything negative until he said this to me. Here is the thing, you may book this hotel and have a lovely stay like many other people before me have written BUT you could have a slight issue and have the owner yell at you for no apparent reason. This could have been because I was a female and maybe he wouldn’t treat men this way. My advice is to stay FAR away from this place as it is not worth the hassle. There are many other affordable places that are fabulous and nearby.

Sehr gutes Hotel in einer super Lage. Viele der Sehenswürdigkeiten kann man von dort aus gut zu Fuß erreichen. Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Frühstück war auch gut. Das Zimmer war sauber und in Ordnung. Im Allgemeinen waren wir mit der Unterkunft sehr zufrieden.

The hotel was excellently located in the centre of Sultanahmet and was excellent value for money - particularly the quality and range of breakfast choices which were all included in the cost. All the staff were really helpful. I would certainly stay again.

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado y la gente es muy amable. Las habitaciones están bien pero son en la mayoría pequeñas y sobre todo los baños necesitan algún arreglo, igual que el wifi que no estaba funcionando muy bien. El lugar de desayuno tiene una vista maravillosa, muchas opciones para comer, pero hay momentos que atiende una sola persona que solo habla turco y se hace muy difícil de entenderse.

The hotel was clean, great location. But we were not satisfied with the breakfast at all. The guy who works there gave us a menu to choose from (small dishes) and we were 4persons so we chose each one but in reality the portions were only suitable for 2persons, when we asked for more he said thats all and he couldnt bring more. So the breakfast is not generous at all, the table beside us sere 2 people and they got the same amount.

Excellent all the way around. Great location just minutes away from the Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia in a safe & clean tourist district where most are fluent in English. Lots of shops & restaurants. Convenience store next door. Nice room, clean, great staff helpful & friendly, great fresh breakfast with view of Hagia Sophia & Bosphorus. Great central location across from the Four Seasons. The restaurant upstairs is delicious for lunch & dinner, we visited for both, with a very charming, attentive, and professional staff. The best hotel asset is their manager, Yakup, an absolute gem. He helped us with our luggage, dazzled us with fabulous stories of his travels, enriched us with a better understanding of Istanbul & Turkey, and checked on on us to make sure we were happy and comfortable during our stay, availablefor any requests. Would definitely stay again. Superb.

Great place overall but needs new carpet. The view from terrace is outstanding and you will have a lot of time to enjoy it as you wait for breakfast -- the food is good but you have to order it and then wait about 20 min. I will bring my travel journal next time.

Excellent location, near all the main tourist attractions, few minutes of walking distance to Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque and other historicsl sites. The service was also excellent, always ready to help you with finding parking for your car, or assisting with other issues.The included breakfast was exceptional, served at the terace restaurant of the hotel, with to order options for eggs and french fries, accompanied by a variety of cheeses.

Harun est un hôte très sympathique et toujours prêt à échanger sur sa ville et sa culture. L'ensemble du personnel est très sympathique. Le restaurant est de bonne qualité. La terrasse du 3e étage est splendide. La chambre est nettoyée chaque jour et la literie est confortable. Je recommande cette hôtel entre les mosquées ste Sophie et la mosquée bleue. Nous avons passé un séjour magique

I want to begin with saying that the staff at By Kinyas Hotel were incredibly friendly and had a very warm and gracious disposition. That's about all I can say that was positive about the experience. First, I thought I was getting a hotel room, but what we actually got was an apartment above the shop that was right next to the hotel and managed by them. Normally, this would be an upgrade, but this was not the case. So, where do I begin? Let's start off with that the air conditioner in the bedroom was not working. The fan worked, but it didn't blow out any cold hair. However, the air conditioner in the living room where our children slept did work. As you know, it is quite hot in Istanbul and at night, sleeping in the bedroom became unbearable. It got so bad, we took the mattress off the bed and pulled it into the living room so we could sleep. That was okay, but then there blackout curtains don't cover the entire window and we had a glaring light from the street lights outside illuminating the living room, which made it impossible for me to get much sleep. Thankfully, young kids can sleep through almost anything and perhaps you'd be okay with that, but for me, I couldn't stand it. Next, was the shower. Where do I start? First, there is a ton of black mold in the shower. I took many photos for proof. Also, the drain didn't work either. Whenever you would shower, the basin would fill up and overflow in the floor and just a few minutes.
