Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The furniture is dated but the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was very clean had most things we needed and white fluffy towels. The hotel has a golf club with parking and a bar/bistro so no need to go far for a night stay.

We recently stayed at the Garstang Golf and Country Hotel and had the pleasure of booking the Wyre Suite – and what a treat it was! The room was spacious, well-appointed, and truly majestic, with its own private terrace offering beautiful views across the golf course. It was the perfect spot to unwind and take in the peaceful surroundings. The bathroom was a real highlight – absolutely vast, with a luxurious walk-in shower featuring a rainfall head and an impressively large handcrafted stone bath that added a real touch of indulgence. While the food menu leaned towards the generic side, the service was prompt, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely keen to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was self-serve, which worked perfectly for early tee times, offering a range of options that suited golfers and non-golfers alike. Tip: Book directly with the hotel for the best rates – they’ll do their best to match prices, and it’s worth it for the personal service. A great escape with serene views, excellent facilities, and a warm welcome – we'll definitely be back

Plenty of parking. Very quiet setting, but this is what I wanted. Staff there if needed but not overbearing. I was on my own and felt comfortable throughout my stay. Cannot fault the cleanliness of the room even if a little out dated.

Good , quiet location in the middle of a golf course . Good food . Clean , plenty of free parking , comfortable bed, friendly staff . Not so good - no heating in the bathroom, ( room 25),towel rails not heated or not working. No iron or ironing board in the room .

A delightful Golf Club with rooms . Great for a stopover . Nice friendly service. Pleasant bar for meals till 8:30 pm. Full cooked breakfast was excellent ( no fresh fruit though). Great value , comfortable room very clean , ok the furniture is dated but fully serviceable. Will be back for next trip South or North.

Nice hotel; good sized bed and room. However room was very warm with no fan/air con facility. Slept with the window open instead and was disturbed by work outside in the morning banging noises etc. Bathroom fan also quite thick with dust; likely neglected on quick room sweeps

The hotel is a bit dated. The room was a good size but smelt badly of damp. The bathroom was the worst, the ceiling had mould on it which there had been an attempt to paint over but this doesn’t solve the problem of it needing to be treated. As it was downstairs I didn’t feel comfortable having the window open overnight. I did report this on checking out.

If you like a clean hotel, then this isn’t the place for you. Restaurant was filthy, under the table didn’t look like it had seen a hoover in weeks, restaurant window full of cobwebs on the inside. The picture of the radiator is what we were sat next to- god knows how long that’s been on there. Evening meal was foul, i didn’t eat mine, full plate went back minus x3 small Camembert wedges. Waitress didn’t even question the full dish being taken away. Hotel room was suppose to be a garden view… yes very slightly but more a car park view id say. The room smelt awful, no air con, dirty carpet, all furniture chipped, bathroom floor tiles black in between the grout. Breakfast quality poor, sausages inedible… plates, cups, cutlery in need of a good wash. I know the hotel is 3 stars but the basic cleanliness should be done.

Lovely hotel set in really pretty grounds. I would recommend that if you can you request a room on the second floor . We were on the ground floor and had to suffer the people above us jumping up and down from 6 until 8.15 am on a Sunday morning. Not the hotels fault at all just inconsiderate guests

The room was lovely and situated brilliantly for me as i I don't walk very well. The view from the patio was outstanding watching the golfers doing part of their round. Can't wait to go back again in the summer when we can sit outside the room on the huge patio. The only thing i can fault it on was the dated furniture which had a few scratches here and there and some stains. We have already booked again for another 2 visits. Also the food in the restaurant wasn't brilliant but maybe we just chose the wrong dishes as the lady next to us had fish and chips and that looked lovely.

The hotel is tired, it’s clean enough but the furniture is old and worn. Could really do with a facelift in my opinion. The room was comfortable and had what we needed, but it felt old. Great for a short break when visiting family, but we’ve stayed in better places I’m afraid.

Great stopover from Hants to Scotland. Broke up a journey stopping just North off chaos and leaving a casual drive the next morning! Huge car park, welcoming staff, great evening meal. Comfy room, warm and all essentials available, including excellent WiFi in room. Would stay again.

We really liked the property, unfortunately it was let down by not having adequate ventilation or air conditioning. It was a very hot day and our room had heated up by the afternoon sun which remained all night.

This is a very nice hotel and the staff are lovely and helpful. I think the bathrooms need upgrading. The hot tap is either off or scalding and you have to ask for a non slip bath mat if you want a shower. You don't know this until you are in your room or in the shower. Not helpful at all. The rooms (room 22) are a great size with plenty of room to put your things. Tea tray and kettle for drinks. We had a nice garden view so it was lovely and quiet. There was fan or aircon in the room so it was very hot for me. Nice for an overnight stay. Don't think I would manage a few days to be honest.

One night stay on business trip. Reasonable room for the price but wi-if was terrible which when on a business trip is not helpful. Not even a decent phone signal either so hard to get any connection. Food was nice.

We were in room 6 and unfortunately the room above ours had creaky floor and the occupants started walking around at 6 am very very noisy and inconsiderate. Sound proofing would be good.

I stayed one night at Garstang Country Hotel with my sister in late November in a downstairs twin room. Ample parking right next to the hotel. Our room was spacious, clean, warm and quiet with a sizeable bathroom and excellent shower, along with a superior hospitality tray. We had both an evening meal and breakfast at the hotel. There was a good selection of food and it was all very tasty. Very convenient to have these food options on site. Staff were very friendly. In looking for somewhere to stay in the Garstang area I noted that some reviews for the hotel commented on the decor being rather old fashioned and tired. I guess in some ways the decor might be considered more traditional, but I thought the hotel felt smart and was clean and tidy. Overall very happy with the hotel and would stay again.

Good hotel as always. We are regular visitors on our way to and from Edinburgh. The staff are always friendly, evening meal was very good as was breakfast.

Good hotel as always. We are regular visitors on our way to and from Edinburgh. The staff are always friendly, evening meal was very good as was breakfast.

Great stopover from Hants to Scotland. Broke up a journey stopping just North off chaos and leaving a casual drive the next morning! Huge car park, welcoming staff, great evening meal. Comfy room, warm and all essentials available, including excellent WiFi in room. Would stay again.

I have stayed here about 8 times and it does what I need. not too big, generally quiet, food adequate but not flashy. I would appreciate if sugar free option was available on cereals in the morning especially sugar fee muesli and shredded wheats for us diabetics. staff were helpful and friendly.

Very dated hotel. Nobody on reception for check-in, so had to seek someone out at the bar. Receptionist completely ignored is at check-out. The bed linen was ripped and strangely, the corridors smelt of gravy! Cheap but not cheerful. Such a shame as the outside makes it look like a nice place.

Used the location as nearest hotel to a dinner dance we were attending at Wyrebank Banqueting suite, Garstang. Plus it was cheaper than Premier Inn. Only negative was our room looked a little tired & the loo took forever to fill up with water. Staff very helpful & friendly and it is in an excellent location. 15 min walk to shops etc.

Staff was good. Room was comfortable and adequate. Convenient for Garstang with a car. Venue seems to focus more on the golf club side and banquets than hotel. We did not eat here.

Plenty of parking. Very quiet setting, but this is what I wanted. Staff there if needed but not overbearing. I was on my own and felt comfortable throughout my stay. Cannot fault the cleanliness of the room even if a little out dated.

We thought the cost of our stay was dear because, although the hotel was clean and the bedroom was ok, we felt the building was rather “tired” and needed refurbishment. The menu in the evening was limited so we ate elsewhere. However we found the staff friendly and efficient.

Good value for money. Food at breakfast and dinner was really good. Very quiet location. White fluffy towels in bathroom with heated towel rail. Only downside was that Hotel was a bit too hot for me but that's personal preference.

We thought we had really hit the jackpot, until dinner, it was a very basic menu, but I must admit tasty. Then it came to breakfast, I like continental, but there was no pastries left, the lady said it would take about 15 mins so I waited. She came to our table with 6 MINI pastries, she asked me which ONE I would like, I picked 2, and said my husband would like 2. So she walked away with 2 left. Now as a special you only charge £10😂 instead of paying another £55 for a mediocre dinner we decided to go to sainsburys for a sandwich, with crisps and a bottle of pop £7 for 2. Next morning I asked for pastries and was told very curtly it would take 20 mins, so I had tomatoes and bacon. I say bacon it was like chewing a frisbee, and would it kill you to supply TEAPOTS, instead of just giving us a teacup with a teabag inside. Your hotel was lovely but your food should come with a WARNING sign.

2 night stay to visit relatives. Staff are friendly and helpful, we enjoyed breakfast which offered a good spread of cooked and continental choices. We also had evening meal which was reasonably priced and tasty. The building is dating a little now, and while everywhere was warm, clean and tidy, our room did smell a little damp. Overall, it was offered at a discount and it served our purpose so we were happy enough.

Really nice place to stay with lots of parking. Had our tea in the restaurant when we arrived which was good. The steak and ale pie was full and my son enjoyed the braised beef.

This has been a quality location however many of the features are getting tired and are overdue a lick of paint/varnish or refreshing the silicone sealants/grout. Furnishings are tired in rooms. Lovely locations and the gardens were lovely and colourful. We did not eat on site as we had other plans made and only used this as a one night stop over.

Staff great , very helpful , bar and food good, room very dated , mould on tiles and seals in bathroom , cold water ran hot for a long time so thought better of drinking it ! Great location , just needs a bit of tlc in the rooms
