Linden Row Inn

This is a lovely, restored hotel close to VCU and cute restaurants. The room was cozy & clean. The garden courtyard feels like stepping back in time & would be a great place for an afternoon break. There is a parking garage close by for only $10 a day.

Great for our concert stay. Easily walked to amphitheater. The room is big and was well maintained and clean for older building. The parking is a block over (basically across street) but you can park to load and unload.

The parking was atrocious the front desk sent me to a public monthly parking lot where they would not let me stay. I had to wait till after four to park on the street in hopes that I wouldn’t get towed then they double bill me for breakfast and one beer. The hotel desk was very unresponsive to the Bill : said wait a couple hours to the manager came in so they could figure it out.

Linden Row is a beautiful property with historic charm. All the staff were very friendly and they were even able to check my in early. There is a nice sitting room and garden to relax in. My favorite part was meeting Annabelle, the hotel cat. Her and her sister were adopted by the hotel from the local shelter. Her sister didn't care much for the hotel life, but Annabelle loves it. I have a lot of respect for that. They appear to only have one vending machine and do not have any food service. I believe there is a cafe opening at some point in the future which will really bring this hotel to another level. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

This is a nice hotel, but the layout and all of the steps is not very inviting to those with various disabilities. It was inexcusable that there was practically NO breakfast in your bistro on Thursday morning at 9:00 AM, an hour before the bistro was set to close. We had to find breakfast elsewhere.

Unique boutique hotel, loved the little courtyard. Looked like their bar and cafe were closed for renovations when we went which was a little disappointed. However, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely have this on our list when we return to Richmond.

Hotel very historic and clean. The court yard needs to hide the trash cans. It would have been nice if they had pastries with the coffee for breakfast.

Super charming hotel! The room was spotless. Small but had everything we needed. Service was great. We enjoyed our stay! Worth noting that the room did not have a refrigerator, and there is no dedicated parking.

I chose this partly based on being able to eat there but the restaurant was gone.

Overall, I liked staying at the Lindon Row Inn. It’s a historic building with a beautiful inner courtyard. There is no parking on the property but that was not an issue. Our room was comfortable but could use some updating. The area was convenient. I especially liked walking around the neighborhood and looking at the architecture.

moldy and dirty, with molded panties on couch, mold inside drawer next to bed, molded hershey kiss on chair, missing pillowcase, dirty floors, and a nee conevnient way to tip the cleaning crew nicely displayed. yeah, no thanks.

We loved the room. The beds were super comfy. Everything was extremely clean. The inn is kept up very nicely. It’s a great location. There is a paid parking garage across the street, and I think it was $7/day.

Awful experience, room 413. 1. The bed is next to the door impossible to get sleep. 2. The bathtub/ shower was clogged I had to shower with flip flops, brown water up to my ankles, no lights in the shower. 2. Hair in the "clean towel" and long hair in the hairdryer ready to use. 3. The room smells and looks old. The floor has cracks and uneven. 4. Called the front desk from 9 PM until I fell asleep, no answer and again in the morning no answer. I got out of there after the first night when I was supposed to stay for a week, they still charged me an extra night. 5. No manager on site, they work from home I was told. Property manager Julia never answered my calls and didn\'t responded my 2 voice messages. Really disgusting place in all aspects. If you like old, dirty, and zero customer service, go to the Linden Row Inn, you won\'t be disappointed.

Love this well-located Richmond hotel. Spotless, comfortable, complimentary coffee and cold drinks. Beautiful downstairs sitting room with rotating exhibits of local artists. We stay here whenever we come to Richmond to visit our daughter and are never disappointed.

The property was very clean!

This is the second time we have stayed at the historic, charming and quirky Linden Row Inn while visiting our daughter in Richmond. Walking distance to so many downtown attractions and eateries, nearby inexpensive parking, friendly staff, comfortable beds, spotless room, pretty courtyard, we hated to leave!

Parking Lot is a block away in a dark, not so nice neighborhood. The place was old and smelled. Tv volume not working, no vent in bathroom, dirty flooring, etc.

Was dusty, curtains, lampshades, the places that aren't always apparent. Downtown Richmond can't get better than a 4 star for area around...

Very old, not well maintained. Smelled like cigarettes. Dirty

TV didn't work. Husband bumbed

My second time staying here and absolute love it. The only thing I feel they can improve on is the WiFi.

Unique property with a lot of historic character! Really enjoyed having a parlor suite. Room was absolutely huge with high ceilings and antique furniture/artwork. Nice modern bathroom. Courtyard was a great place for a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine at night. Quiet for being in the middle of the city.

My husband and I enjoyed our 3 nights at this historic inn. Location is great in the heart of downtown RVA. At check-in, we were upgraded to a king room on the 3rd floor. The room was clean and spacious. Looking out on Main St at the public library, it had a comfy king bed, an armoire, a desk, three chairs, a Keurig, mini fridge, and a microwave. Overall, plenty of places for storage and the closet had a full size ironing board and iron. Bathroom was big with a nice shower tub, sink, complimentry toiletries and a hair dryer. Water did take a while to get warm as it's an older structure but it started hot. No problems with shower pressure either. Overall, heat worked great in the room. Being a historic building, it comes with character and creaky floors. You could hear folks walking upstairs and talking next door if they are loud. It wasn't a big issue. We lucked out having quiet neighbors. Only one night did new folks check-in late and there was a good share of stomping above. We slept well otherwise. The hotel grounds were well kept. Lovely sitting area that was home to Annabelle the cat. She was super nice and mostly kept to herself. She'd monitor who was coming and going in the morning and evening. We didn't eat at the restaurant on site, but there are a lot of great places in the neighborhood. We had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner at Henley on Grace just three blocks down from the hotel. Parking was a breeze. There's a city parking deck around the corner.

Nice, comfortable stay in heart of Richmond. Room was challenging to locate. Could also use more outlets for electronic devices.

This was a pretty cool and unique hotel. We stayed in one of the garden view rooms and thought it was cute and cozy. This hotel is interesting because the exterior is old and cool but the inside kind of feels like a hotel that could use some freshening up. The AC was loud, bathroom dark, and bed was shaky. For the location, the price was good. It felt safe and quiet. The person working at the front desk seemed utterly annoyed that we were there. She refused to give us restaurant recommendations if the restaurant was in another hotel but also wouldn’t really name any places to go. I mentioned one restaurant we heard about and she just laughed. We had to pry parking information out of her and she just kept telling us to look at the white papers with their curated experiences. The whole vibe was very odd.

The hotel is charming, and the staff is warm and welcoming. I gave the service 3 stars because our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay. It seems they may be short-staffed on weekends.

We phoned the day before requesting a cot and were told not to worry and to ask for it the day of arrival. When we arrived at the hotel they said we should have requested it and they could arrange for it the following day. The next morning we got the same story. It took two days of persisting to get the cot delivered to the room. Seemed like the staff weren't communicating and weren't interested in providing the cot. There is no room cleaning on Saturday which is fine had we been made aware at check-in. The elevator is a bit shoddy but easily fixed. It is a great hotel, clean, resident cat, restaurant looked great, although we didn't eat there. Great location to walk to the convention center. Stella's and Perly's are right around the corner.

I stayed with my service animal and they charge me fee after checkout without letting me know. I feel discriminated when I arrived at check-in I advise and showed service animal credentials.

This was my first time visiting Richmond, and I really enjoyed my stay at Linden! The room was clean, the facility was friendly. And I enjoyed every second of my stay at this hotel extra special shout out to Vincent who is on staff at the front desk. In fact, the entire staff was excellent, but I don’t know everybody’s name because I would call them all out. In the future when I am in Richmond, I will be staying at the Linden.

Can't recommend Linden Row enough! I have been staying here a number of years now and its always consistent, clean, friendly staff and comfortable. Its the best value for the money in downtown Richmond, and feels like a little oasis there. Its close to Broad St, and has plenty of places within walking distance for food, shopping, nightlife, etc. Parking is right across the street, and safe.

Lovely restored Inn with an interesting history. As with any historic building, some of the walkways had janky bricks that required attention. We choose the location for walking distance to Ember Music Hall. Nice restaurants around as well.

Cute , historic property. The Linden Row Inn was conveniently located close to restaurants and walking distance tot he Allianz Amphitheater. Our room was clean and comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at the Linden Row Inn. The front desk staff was very welcoming, the garden area was lovely and the beds were comfortable. The parking was easily accessible and affordable, and the restaurant list was beneficial.

The Linden Row Inn is a historic property and has personality and character. It is quiet; the staff was very kind and friendly. The only thing missing for me was the availability of good coffee and food--the cafe/restaurant is not open on Monday and Tuesday. Still, I look forward to returning again.

This historic hotel is just lovely. Its restaurant wasn’t open so I gave it a 4 in two spots but it’ll reopen in spring. I look forward to going back soon

Beautiful hotel with a hotel cat. The staff was friendly and informative and accommodating. We found free parking easily. Loved the historic nature of the property-every corner was unique. Restaurant was excellent. Try the donuts!

Comfortable but low in amenities. No food available on premises, not even a spoon or a glass. Bare bones TV options. Nice lounge area with art gallery and outdoor seating.

This is a lovely and historical boutique hotel. Spacious rooms, conscientious staff and great location. Will be even better once they open the restaurant.
