Overall this place delivered good value. The price was right, parking was super easy and the pool and hot tub were nice to have. They even gave us 4 drink tickets for the bar which was unexpected and appreciated. Room was clean, so no complaints there. But here's the thing - our room had this weird smell. Like musty mixed with dog. And honestly, the whole hotel had a smell going on. Not overpowering, but definitely noticeable enough that you're aware of it. For the price and amenities, it's not a bad deal. The drink tickets were a nice touch and everything else was pretty solid. We got a decent night sleep which was critical after day 3 of a 6-day roadtrip. But that smell situation really brings it down. If they could figure out whatever's causing that, this would be a much better experience.

Unsafe sidewalks (broken up). Room had an unclean smell, shower had not been cleaned (hair from other guests on wall) carpet along edges filthy. No fan in bathroom. Breakfast food not at correct temperature. Would not stay again. Understand they are undergoing construction but cleanliness can always be achieved

was very clean. need better lighting in the rooms. Bar good use some updating and stay open later. Very friendly staff. Nice to come back after hockey game and our room was clean with clean towels and beds made. Continental Breakfast very good

It’s wasn’t bad but property owners have to take care of cracked window glass. I was windy night and even the noise of cars are easily passing through cracked window glass and was a lot of noise disturbances.

The place need a remodel in the picture it look nice but when you get into the room is not the same as in the picture . Our bed was slated. There was a metal bar sticking out and I walk into it. Bathroom toilet make a really annoying loud noise when you flush. Otherwise the staff are nice and they have a ticket for free drink/ pull pork that was goood!

Good sized suit. comfortable , nice that there was complimentary light super and breakfast and a couple free drinks that was a bonus. area under construction so very sadly the hot tub was not in service and the pool was in rough shape. but still very clean. The laundry was behind so towels were in short supply. But they found us some. Staff was helpful and curtius Even the trainee.

Quick check in. Unloaded car. Found bathroom covered with water. Too tired to move rooms so front desk cleaned up water and left towels under leaking connection. Sunday so no social hour/drinks. No mention of pool or hot tub. Bed hard. Unfortunately, black out curtains don’t overlap so light comes through. As lower floor room, felt people could see through gaps. Loud banging noises from 158 at 3 am guaranteed pour nights sleep. Decent hot breakfast.

Was told I would be on the 1st floor, but when I arrived told that the other people extended their stay so I would not be on the 1st floor. No elevator. Nothing was done to accommodate. Was told sorry, and the entire town is sold out of rooms.

We were not able to check in at check in time. They made us wait till later to check in and when we got back. They double booked our room and we almost didn’t get a room. Poor poor customer service and the staff was rather uninviting. All round bad trip and bad experience.

Nasty place. Go read the reviews & look at pics on FB reviews. Manager is Rude and unhelpful. Front desk staff is untrained & not informed about anything. Stay at the Casino, it was worth the extra money.

Extremey rude staff! during check-in process. Not accomidating at all for customer relatiions position. Was told that theTV did not work and they would send someone to fix it. No one showed up. Went to front desk to ask when it will be addressed and was present with an eyeroll. Disappointed to say the least. Do not recommend due to rude staff!

We checked in after 3pm and the room was not ready, staff told us to return back in 15 minutes. After we returned 15 minutes later, there was at least 4 customers in line waiting to check in and there was only 1 front staff available.

Great little overnight spot for me. Everything was clean, staff was SUPER friendly and AWESOME. Nothing to complain about as it was literally a place for me to sleep and nothing else, but it was perfect for my needs.

Location is good. 15 minute walk to downtown. Ample boat parking and chargers on posts. Awesome fish cleaning facility. You get a couple drink tickets each night in the little bar on site. Room was clean, not fancy but comfortable. We’d stay again.

There’s no shuttle nor Uber/Lyft and good luck trying to get a taxi! We had to walk to the “train station”. Seemed a great place for out of town workers, hunters and fisherman, separate cleaning area.

Chose this for a one night stay due to previous good reviews and pricing. On arrival, the receptionist had a bit of trouble locating my reservation and tried to charge me again for the room I had already pre-paid for. I was told that the hot tub was out of service, and had been for over a week which was not advertised on the properties website. This property is also under construction at the moment which was not advertised. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. Decent for a one night stay. The breakfast that was included was terrible. Chose this for a one night stay due to previous good reviews and pricing. On arrival, the receptionist had a bit of trouble locating my reservation and tried to charge me again for the room I had already pre-paid for. I was told that the hot tub was out of service, and had been for over a week which was not advertised on the properties website. This property is also under construction at the moment which was not advertised. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. Decent for a one night stay. The breakfast that was included was terrible. Food was cold, and likely had been sitting out in luke warm crock pots for hours. We ended up going to McDonalds instead. If you are staying in Devils Lake, this is a reasonable option for a clean comfortable room at an okay price.

The staff has always been nice and helpful. Plus, it's a bonus to get the tickets for the light evening meal/snack and a couple of drinks. The hot breakfast offers a good selection as well. :)

A very 'dated' property in dire need of a COMPLETE remodel, everywhere except the food area room. The staff was very nice, friendly and accommodating. Convenient location for us. The breakfast was very 'marginal'. Saturday morning at 0700 there was no 'starch' (potatoes). So we went to local restaurants for Sunday and Monday mornings.

You get a lot more for your money! What really surprised us were the additional hospitality freebies at the in-house bar most nights. It allowed us to grab a quick bite after a long day. The complimentary breakfast was quite ample. I even got to chat with the owner when he stopped in one morning. Super friendly staff.

Staff was helpful as they could be, they were under staffed so the my room (and other people I overheard) wasn't cleaned and stocked properly. And sad to say , my room had a cockroach problem, I saw three cockroaches in the bathroom in the morning when light was turned on, they scurried into the wall, and yes I know what cockroaches look like. though unusual for North Dakota , it is summer, and yes it was cockroaches. Shampoo only had one day in the container and I had to ask for a toilet paper roll (ours had maybe one use on it) from the front desk. bedding was dirty, staff gave me a wad of bedding since they don't have time or staffing to fold them. Phone in room stop working by the end of the first day of two days. I was offered another room, but was sure it would be no better since cockroaches don't just stay in one room. I only stayed two days, and that was two days too many. Again, the staff was nice, but still. Breakfast was cereal, scrabbled eggs and bacon , bagged bagels, yogurts, Folgers coffee and frozen orange juice (couldn't get it out of the container so no orange juice ). We will not be back, and that is that.
