Montrose Valley Lodge

Having gone thru some changes......the new owners are making a great effort to revive this place. Room were renovated, nice selection @ breakfast , & thanks for the giant bag of ice. Keep up the good work....!!!

Safe, quiet place to stay.

The check-in went smoothly and the room was comfortable. It was centrally located and had all the amenities I was looking for at a good price. I didn’t have timecto try the breakfast but it’s nice that it’s available.

This is an older facility. The room was clean and the staff very helpful. It was a little pricey for what you got. There were no blow dryers for hair. The walls are not sound proofed so we could hear people talking and coughing in other rooms, and the traffic noise wasn't buffered. But, if you just need a bed for the night this will do, just bring ear plugs. Breakfast was OK, but limited. They have a waffle maker, eggs and sausage, yogurt and cereal. Some fresh fruit & hot water for tea would have upped their score from me.

We should have requested a different room as the deadbolt on the door would not lock. The entire door frame was loose and the door could have easily been busted open. We slid a (very uncomfortable) recliner in front of the door when we were in the room. Electric outlets seem to be worn out and items we plugged in kept falling out of the outlets. Bathroom was TINY and EVERYTHING was in need of updating. Had a massive 75-80” TV? Will not stay here again. Get what you pay for.
