Second time staying and I’m always surprised by the amenities. Looks old on the outside, but they’ve got like a 45in on the inside. Clean rooms, great spot. The parking lot does kinda suck and it’s pretty cramped, but there’s a gravel lot next to it for bigger vehicles. It’s my go to hotel for when I’m in Kentucky

Big room. Good bed and pillows. Booked with kids so the pool was a must. After getting into room, headed with kids to the pool. Desk attendant came out and said pool was not open and had not been cleaned. No apology or offer to refund or reduce price. People pulled chairs outside their rooms and were drinking, smoking, smoking weed, and talking loudly and after 10pm.

Clean rooms. Looks like rooms have been recently updated. The pool looked as though it was also in the process of being repaired. The breakfast was generous. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff and hospitality was great. Coffee, waffle maker, and other continental items in the morning. Easy in and out, and extra parking in the lot next door for rigs and folks traveling with U-Haul.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. It's right on a busy road and we heard it all night. The pool was half empty and unusable, but they didn't let us know when booking.

Nice clean place. Had a room refrigerator and the bed was nice. Not much for breakfast, waffles, cereal, fruit, bagels. Outdoor pool was clean and warm enough to swim. Had one washer and dryer so if your planning laundry grab it ASAP on arrival. We were on motorcycle so one load worked. I would stay again.

Booked a one night stay in a non-smoking room, but arrived to a room that had the smell of smoke. We attributed it to the air not being on and the room sitting stale so we turned on the AC and went out. When we arrived hours later the room still smelled of smoke but we decided to make the best of it. We showered and prepared for bed. Once pulling the sheets back to enter bed we noticed a clear blood spot on the pillowcase. While inspecting the rest of the bed we found several obvious cigarette burns in the bedding, so it was clearly not a non-smoking room. We decided to check out due to the blood issue and the kind man at the desk informed me he could not issue a refund but would have the manager call me Monday. Monday came and went so I processed a refund through Expedia. Expedia contacted the hotel who refused a refund because we had used the room to shower and did not report the issue immediately which is comical because not many people see a blood stain on bedding BEFORE bed. We do not recommend this hotel and will not be back.

When we were getting dressed we noticed the bottom of our feet were black from the floors. There was mold in part of the sink area. The “restaurant next door” was a Captain D’s. Not what I consider a restaurant. Breakfast was not that great, mostly sugar products.

The one thing that stood out was the room was heavily scented with cleaning agent. My wife suspected it Was an effort to cover up smoking in the room. In any event, we kept the door open a while to dilute the cleaning agent smell.

It’s an older place, but the room was very spacious and inviting. Staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful. My only concern not necessarily complaint was the very small breakfast area. We decided to eat out.

The outside of the motel may not look like the best place to stay, but the interior of the room I stayed in was really nice. My one issue was that the TV remote was a universal one and did not work the best with the TV. It ended up being stuck on because the power button stopped responding. When I told them about it, they replaced the remote with the one for the TV and there were no more problems. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely consider staying here again.

Staying here was a pleasant surprise! Spacious, clean room, very comfortable bed. Room appeared to be recently updated, because furniture, lamps etc were all new. Nice pool area, restaurants nearby. Will definitely book again!

Would not stay again at the Bluegrass Inn because first off the Wi-Fi is very low could not get good reception with the Wi-Fi and the heater in the room did not work all that well the conditions were very unsatisfactory found one bed bug in one of the beds continental breakfast was crap and the conditions of the hotel were not up to satisfactory standards would not recommend the Bluegrass into anybody looking for a hotel in Frankfort Kentucky 0 out of 10 I give it a negative three thank you very much and have a pleasant day

We asked for connecting rooms, as their website and Hotels.com said they had. Emailed the hotel to confirm connecting rooms. When we arrived to check in, we found out they only have one set of connecting rooms, and one of the rooms that connect was booked after we reserved ours. We were not able to get connecting rooms. Unfortunately, nothing else in the area was available by the time we arrived.

We have stayed here 3 times now and it is consistently clean. The staff is always friendly and quick to accommodate. Bluegrass Inn is our “go to” when we visit Kentucky.

Very friendly staff. Problem with the remote and delivered one immediately. Only thing was for breakfast they ran out of waffle mix. Was looking forward to eating a waffle.

Great little place to stay for a few nights. The front desk was very nice and helpful as our cards kept being demagnetized 😂 Enjoying watching the storms from our front “porch”.

The staff was rude and disrespectful. when I checked out they tried to give my deposit to the wrong person and I'm the one that paid it. They never cleaned our room. The only thing they did was take the trash out and replace the towels. Mind you I stayed for a week and a half. They wanted to charge us a $40 cleaning fee when we asked them to switch us rooms bc they would both clean ours. There was blood splatter on the ceiling of the entrance to the sink area. Then we were told we couldn't rent anymore and forced to leave when we had money to pay for the room. Once gone I got online to search for rooms again and found that Bluegrass Inn still had available rooms so I was definitely highly upset about how we were treated

Our room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the location was convenient and safe. It isnt a deluxe hotel, but everything you’d need for an overnight stay. Small breakfast area with cold cereal, oatmeal, waffles, fruit, toast and bagels with juice and coffee. Would recommend for an overnight stay.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. It's right on a busy road and we heard it all night. The pool was half empty and unusable, but they didn't let us know when booking.

The Bluegrass Inn was very cozy, comfortable independently owned motel. Things were clean and quiet, location was a bit off the Interstate but easy to find. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a good stay!

Very friendly staff. Problem with the remote and delivered one immediately. Only thing was for breakfast they ran out of waffle mix. Was looking forward to eating a waffle.

The hotel was clean and convenient for what we planned. If a continental breakfast is important, don't book here though. They had cereal, juice, coffee, a waffle maker, a few pastries.

Door had to be forcefully shoved to fully close. Breakfast was a joke. Waffle batter empty at 07:30 am and supposed to last till 9:00 am and clerk said they didn’t have any more. That was the only hot choice available and no protein choices!

It looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. Upon entering you're hit with an immense musty, used to smoke in here kind of smell. I have to jump to get onto the bed they're so high. Microwave is blinking numbers, but nobody is home (didn't work). The shower is loud and it just mists at you, no steady stream. Found a huge dark hairball on the wall - toilet is broken and tried to be patched with caulking. I think there was feces on the back of it. Would not recommend, would not stay again, would rather sleep in the rental car. For my first visit to Kentucky, I am not impressed. Lady in the front also had some problems. It was just really hard for her to function. Oh - don't want to forget the ketchup packet I had to use to keep the drain open so we could shower. I can't make this stuff up!!!

This is an older motel that is being well taken care of. Clean rooms, good parking,, nice swimming pool. Continental breakfast was adequate.. Great central location.

Great location. Parking convenient to the rooms. Clean room. Good water pressure in the shower. Good wifi and tv service. Good light breakfast included. Didn't use the coffee maker in the room.
